Newsround. But first, scientists believe

they've solved the mystery of one of the most astonishing fossil

discoveries in recent years. This huge graveyard of whales was found

in a desert in Chile, South America, in 2011, but until now, no-one knew

how it got there. Well, experts studying the site now think the

massive find was the result of big groups of whales getting stranded

more than five million years ago. They believe they were all poisoned

at around the same time after swallowing toxic algae.

Next, US President Barack Obama says he's making plans to withdraw all

American forces from Afghanistan by the end of 2014. Most foreign forces

were expected to leave this year, but there was a plan to keep a small

number in the country to continue working with local troops. Obama

wants Afghan president Hamid Karzai to sign a security agreement to

protect the remaining American soldiers, but Karzai won't sign that

deal. Foreign troops have been in the country since 2001 when a group

called the Taliban were overthrown from power.

A couple in America are in the money after finding $10 million worth of

buried treasure while walking their dog. They discovered hundreds of

gold coins dating from the 1800s in California. The coins were found in

some old rusty metal tins they saw sticking out of the ground. They

want to remain anonymous but say they'll use the money to pay off

their debts. And discovering that much lost

treasure must make you feel pretty good, but this has got to be a close

second. Tunstall Town, a small team in the Staffordshire County's

Division Two, won their first footy match in more than six and half

years at the weekend - after a run of 171 losses in a row. It's an

incredible story. Here's Nel with more.

For football fans across the country, there's no better feeling

than watching your side win. But for supporters of Tunstall Town in

Stoke-on-Trent, there has been no celebrations for nearly six and a

half years. The last time the team picked up three points was on the

29th of September 2007. Little did they know that it would be a weight

of six years, four months and 25-year is before they tasted

victory again. -- and 25 days. That is a lot of footballing minutes. On

Saturday, they brought their winless run to an end when they were won

3-2. It was better than winning their World Cup, FA Cup, Champions

League, all rolled into one. It was great. After getting that win after

six and a half years, legendary. 17-year-old Adam was the hero,

grabbing the winner and rewriting the club's history books. Obviously,

winning after six and a half years... We have a few games left

that we think are winnable. Never let him have a winning

feeling, maybe a push for promotion is on the cards. OK, maybe not, but

they will at least hoping it will not be another six years before the

next win. They're not quite as bad as that,

but Man United's troubles continued last night. They were beaten in the

first leg of the Champions League last 16. They went down 2-0 in the

first leg of their match with Greek Champions Olympiakos - a team

considered the weakest left in the competition. Celtic suffered a

surprise first defeat of the season to Aberdeen. They have not lost a

game of year but went down 2-1. They are still 21 point ahead at the top

of the league, though. Some 1D news now. Louis Tomlinson

will swap his microphone for footie boots tonight, as he gets ready to

play for Doncaster Rovers. He's taking part in a game for the League

Two side in a reserve match against local rivals Rotherham. Louis is

playing in aid of a children's hospice. Several thousand new

football fans are expected to turn up this evening.
