Hi, I'm Martin, this is Newsround, | 0:00:04 | 0:00:05
and here's what's coming up in the next few minutes: | 0:00:05 | 0:00:08
Get ready for some strange stories. | 0:00:08 | 0:00:11
Find out why this tree is floating. | 0:00:11 | 0:00:14
But first, Newsround's latest special is all about tech, | 0:00:23 | 0:00:26
and finding out if you are using it too much. | 0:00:26 | 0:00:26
So we asked some of you guys whether you think you're addicted | 0:00:29 | 0:00:32
to tech, or could you do without? | 0:00:32 | 0:00:36
The most amount of time I ever spent on tech was in one day - | 0:00:36 | 0:00:39
The most amount of time I ever spent on tech was in one day - | 0:00:41 | 0:00:44
it was 20 hours. | 0:00:44 | 0:00:46
I could use tech 24/7. | 0:00:46 | 0:00:48
I would say, like, eight hours. | 0:00:48 | 0:00:52
On a Sunday, I would probably use four to five hours of tech. | 0:00:52 | 0:00:58
The most amount of time I've spent looking at a screen was 11 hours. | 0:00:58 | 0:01:01
I spend about three to four hours using tech. | 0:01:01 | 0:01:04
I don't think that's too much. | 0:01:04 | 0:01:05
I spend at least up to ten or 12 hours a day on technology. | 0:01:05 | 0:01:10
It is really bad. | 0:01:10 | 0:01:14
And don't forget to head to the website to see | 0:01:14 | 0:01:16
the full special and find out "Is Tech Taking Over?" | 0:01:16 | 0:01:21
Football next, and a young England side are now in Berlin preparing | 0:01:21 | 0:01:24
for their friendly match against Germany tonight. | 0:01:24 | 0:01:26
Strikers Danny Welbeck and Harry Kane will start. | 0:01:26 | 0:01:29
Daniel Sturridge and Jamie Vardy are also in the squad. | 0:01:29 | 0:01:33
Stand-in captain Gary Cahill says the amount of good attacking players | 0:01:33 | 0:01:35
has given his manager plenty to think about. | 0:01:35 | 0:01:40
Our strikers are obviously on top form, especially with | 0:01:40 | 0:01:43
the likes of Harry Kane and Vardy this season - | 0:01:43 | 0:01:45
they've been tremendous. | 0:01:45 | 0:01:48
And it is a huge boost for us as players and for | 0:01:48 | 0:01:51
the manager to have Daniel Sturridge and Welbeck back fit. | 0:01:51 | 0:01:57
The timing of them coming back fit is great, so there's certainly | 0:01:57 | 0:02:00
a headache for the manager in terms of choice upfront. | 0:02:00 | 0:02:05
We are blessed to have two, at the minute, | 0:02:05 | 0:02:07
of the best English strikers, in top form. | 0:02:07 | 0:02:11
Next, if like me you're looking forward to Easter and all the eggs, | 0:02:11 | 0:02:15
but you fancy mixing up your chocolate treats, | 0:02:15 | 0:02:16
then we've got an idea for you. | 0:02:16 | 0:02:18
Why not try making Easter nests? | 0:02:18 | 0:02:20
I did, and if I can manage it, anyone can. | 0:02:20 | 0:02:22
Have a look at this. | 0:02:22 | 0:02:24
I'm going to show you how to make Easter egg nests. | 0:02:25 | 0:02:28
We will need 225 grams of plain chocolate, | 0:02:28 | 0:02:30
broken up into little pieces. | 0:02:30 | 0:02:32
Two tablespoons full of golden syrup. | 0:02:32 | 0:02:36
50 grams of butter. | 0:02:36 | 0:02:41
75 grams of cornflakes. | 0:02:41 | 0:02:45
Chocolate eggs right there. | 0:02:45 | 0:02:47
First, you have to get a cake tray | 0:02:47 | 0:02:49
which has got little holes in it | 0:02:49 | 0:02:51
and then you put the cupcake cases in here and this | 0:02:51 | 0:02:54
is where your chocolate is going to go. | 0:02:54 | 0:02:56
I have already done this one but this is what you guys should do. | 0:02:56 | 0:02:59
Next you have to get your chocolate, your syrup and butter | 0:02:59 | 0:03:02
and put it all into a mixing bowl. | 0:03:02 | 0:03:04
The next bit, you will need an adult to help you out. | 0:03:04 | 0:03:07
You will need a pot with boiling hot water. | 0:03:07 | 0:03:09
Next you will need to add your mixing bowl | 0:03:09 | 0:03:12
which has all your ingredients in it and put it on top of the pan. | 0:03:12 | 0:03:15
That will melt your chocolate, your syrup and butter. | 0:03:15 | 0:03:22
You have to add 75 grams of cornflakes. | 0:03:22 | 0:03:27
Then you give it a good stir. | 0:03:27 | 0:03:30
Once you've put your chocolate and your conflakes together, | 0:03:30 | 0:03:32
it is time to put them in their little cases. | 0:03:32 | 0:03:38
So now you should have 12 cupcake cases all filled with chocolate. | 0:03:38 | 0:03:42
But, if you're like me, then you have probably put | 0:03:42 | 0:03:44
more chocolate in one than what you have the other | 0:03:44 | 0:03:47
but, if you have done that, all you have to do is add more eggs. | 0:03:47 | 0:03:51
Once you have got them looking like this, you have got your | 0:03:51 | 0:03:57
little Easter eggs on it, put them in the fridge for a little bit just | 0:03:57 | 0:04:01
so the chocolate can harden and set. | 0:04:01 | 0:04:03
So there you have it, guys, some tasty Easter egg nest treats. | 0:04:03 | 0:04:08
Why don't you have a go at making them? | 0:04:08 | 0:04:10
You could probably do a lot better than me, | 0:04:10 | 0:04:12
to be honest, but I'm still pretty proud of these bad boys. | 0:04:12 | 0:04:15
Make sure before you have one of your own, you share them | 0:04:15 | 0:04:18
with your friends and family. | 0:04:18 | 0:04:19
I know I will. Bye. | 0:04:19 | 0:04:21
Martin! What? | 0:04:21 | 0:04:26
Have a look at this enormous 100-year-old tree floating | 0:04:26 | 0:04:29
in the Black Sea near Georgia. | 0:04:29 | 0:04:31
It's heading to a new park where it will be replanted. | 0:04:31 | 0:04:34
But it wasn't easy to get the tree, with all its roots, moving. | 0:04:34 | 0:04:38
Its weight meant workers spent a lot of time just trying | 0:04:38 | 0:04:40
to get the boat started. | 0:04:40 | 0:04:43
Finally, if you like strange things, then you'll love this. | 0:04:43 | 0:04:47
Purin the beagle from Japan looks like she's on a roll. | 0:04:50 | 0:04:53
She's just won her second Guinness World record as the fastest | 0:04:53 | 0:04:56
dog to travel ten metres on a ball. | 0:04:56 | 0:05:00
It took her just 11.9 seconds to wobble her way into history. | 0:05:00 | 0:05:07
Astronauts fight aliens in space! | 0:05:07 | 0:05:09
Well, not really, but Tim Peake did take time out to have some fun | 0:05:09 | 0:05:12
with his crewmate playing a virtual reality game of space invaders | 0:05:12 | 0:05:15
on board the ISS. | 0:05:15 | 0:05:22
It is good to practice in case real aliens came along. | 0:05:22 | 0:05:27
This German Shepherd has got his paws full. | 0:05:27 | 0:05:30
He has stepped in to babysit five little cheetah cubs that | 0:05:30 | 0:05:33
were orphaned at a zoo in Australia. | 0:05:33 | 0:05:36
He is doing a pretty good job keeping | 0:05:36 | 0:05:38
them warm and letting them climb on him for exercise. | 0:05:38 | 0:05:40
They seem perfectly happy with their new nanny. | 0:05:40 | 0:05:44
That's all from me. | 0:05:48 | 0:05:48
Newsround's back tomorrow just before 10am. | 0:05:48 | 0:05:50
See you then. | 0:05:50 | 0:05:52
And don't forget to put your clocks forward tonight. | 0:05:52 | 0:05:55 |
