Afternoon all, Joe here with all the big stuff you've missed while you've

been at school. Including, could this be the first

talking robot in space? And, a sneak peak of the the new One

Direction film. This is Newsround.

First, to the international row over hunting one of nature's most

magnificent mammals. Australia says Japan's broken strict

rules by killing more than 10,000 whales in less than 30 years.

Japan says its done nothing wrong and today a big court case begins to

decide who's right. Here's Leah. For centuries what else

were hunted, their meat a huge Del Kasse in countries like Japan. In

1986, that was all supposed to stop. Commercial whaling was officially

banned around the world. It is still allowed for scientific research

though. Something Australia say Japan's using as an excuse to keep

the supply of whale meat coming. They are asking the International

Court of Justice to stop them. want commercial whaling to stop.

That includes the so-called scientific whaling programme that

Japan has been carrying on for many years. Australia's particularly

bothered because Japan's whaling fleet leaves every November or

December for the southern ocean, right between themmed and

Antarctica. The The aim?

To pluck around a 1,000 minke or fin whales from the waters.

Anti-whaling campaigners have tried all kinds of tactics to get Japan to

stop. Japan claim the research is needed

to provide information on whale populations, something they hope

could help them get the commercial ban re-examined.

Who's right and who's wrong? Wel,l from today the court in the

Netherlands will decide. Japan hope to prove what they're

doing is legal and all in the name of science.

If the court disagrees, it could force them to seriously cut back on

how many whales they hunt in the future.

go for Beckham, Gerrard or Cole, but you'd be wrong.

As of a few hours ago, England's record cap holder is Rachel Yankey.

She's just made her 126th appearance this afternoon against Japan.

Here's Martin with more on the superstar who's slipped under the

radar. Peter Shilton, David Beckham, Bobby

Moore three Lions legends and part of a very rare group to have

achieved more than 100 caps for England.

But now one person's topped them all, Rachel Yankey.

The 33-year-old Londoner, who plays for Arsenal as an attacking

mid-fielder, Rachel made her England debut back in 1997 and she's since

played in two World Cups, two European Championships and the 2012

Olympic Games. I liked to play football as a kid. I went and played

for a team. I played for artsal, scouted for England and it went from

there. Rachel has already won countless

honours and with the European Championships kicking off next month

she'll be hoping to add an international trophy to her record

breaking number of caps. At 33, to get 126 caps, an amazing

achievement. Rachel might have outdone old Mr

Beckham here, but he's still making headlines round the world.

He recently retired from footy, but his wife Victoria's been telling

reporters in India she wants him to take up acting instead.

The ex-Spice Girl reckons he'd be Russia put the first dog in space.

America, the first man on the Moon and now Japan want to be the first

to send a talking robot to the stars.

If all goes to plan he'll be blasting off to the International

Space Station in August where he'll talk to his robo-mate, Mirata back

on earth. It's hoped robots like these can be

used to help astronauts with their dance moves.
