Good morning, I'm Martin with your Newsround this Friday. | :00:00. | :00:12.
First to Italy, where we now know that more than 250 people have died | :00:13. | :00:16.
following an earthquake on Wednesday morning. | :00:17. | :00:20.
There have been more than 80 aftershocks since the initial quake | :00:21. | :00:23.
on Wednesday and this has made it even harder for rescue teams | :00:24. | :00:27.
to try to find survivors trapped in collapsed buildings. | :00:28. | :00:30.
But teams say they will keep on searching until the | :00:31. | :00:33.
And remember, if there's anything in the news that upsets you, | :00:34. | :00:38.
there is always help and advice at Newsround online. | :00:39. | :00:42.
Now, loads of you have been telling us how much the Olympics | :00:43. | :00:45.
have inspired you over the past three weeks. | :00:46. | :00:48.
Seven of Team GB's medals came in the gymnastics and we've got | :00:49. | :00:51.
one aspiring gymnast here with us, 13-year-old Ciara. | :00:52. | :00:58.
Good morning. Thank you very much for coming in. We are always used to | :00:59. | :01:04.
hearing from the Olympians about how it appeals to win a gold medal, but | :01:05. | :01:08.
how does a feel for some and your age to watch them? Did it inspire | :01:09. | :01:11.
you? What were you thinking throughout the Olympics? It was how | :01:12. | :01:17.
much they worked to get to where they are, it inspired me to carry | :01:18. | :01:21.
on. You want to be a gymnast when you're older, you're working hard at | :01:22. | :01:27.
it now. Was it wasn't like watching the gymnasts? It was very nice to | :01:28. | :01:30.
see how hard they worked to get where they are now. Who inspires you | :01:31. | :01:43.
the most? Max and Amy. Funny that, we have a surprise for you. Let's | :01:44. | :01:48.
bring in Amy! Amy is here to say hello. How are you? I'm good, thank | :01:49. | :01:58.
you. Meet Amy. Are you a little bit shocked? Yes! She wants to be a | :01:59. | :02:03.
gymnast just like you, she's working very hard at it. So have you got any | :02:04. | :02:12.
questions? What was it like? It was absolutely amazing. Just the | :02:13. | :02:16.
experience, to be able to share the podium with people who you know is | :02:17. | :02:22.
absolutely incredible. It was amazing. Have you got any advice for | :02:23. | :02:26.
young gymnasts to go and do what you've done and come back with a | :02:27. | :02:31.
bronze medal? I would say just enjoy it. My coach said, go out there, | :02:32. | :02:37.
you've got nothing to lose. All the hard work pays off. Thank you very | :02:38. | :02:40.
much for coming in. It is good to see you. | :02:41. | :02:41.
Now, more Olympic heroes have been dropping into | :02:42. | :02:43.
Newsround HQ this week- including three of the women's | :02:44. | :02:45.
hockey squad, who are returning as Olympic champions. | :02:46. | :02:47.
And who better to grill them than some young hockey fans? | :02:48. | :02:50.
Great Britain have won the Olympic gold medal. | :02:51. | :02:58.
When you were younger, did you always feel part of the team | :02:59. | :03:02.
because your training was so different? | :03:03. | :03:06.
I think your team-mates generally make a big | :03:07. | :03:09.
effort to try and keep the goalie involved. | :03:10. | :03:11.
There's definitely some days where you spend some time by | :03:12. | :03:13.
yourself and end up singing to yourself or keeping yourself | :03:14. | :03:16.
entertained, but it's always very much a team effort and the goalie | :03:17. | :03:19.
When you were younger, did you play any | :03:20. | :03:25.
other sports and if so, how did you choose hockey over them? | :03:26. | :03:28.
When I was really tiny, I did dancing and | :03:29. | :03:30.
And then I started playing a bit of netball and I swam | :03:31. | :03:33.
a lot, me and my sister were both into swimming. | :03:34. | :03:36.
And then when I went to secondary school, | :03:37. | :03:38.
hockey was just one of the sports that they did, so I did hockey, | :03:39. | :03:41.
I love being part of the team and it was fun, really fun. | :03:42. | :03:47.
Do you have to prepare differently for GB than with | :03:48. | :03:49.
Essentially it's kind of the same thing. | :03:50. | :03:52.
We have a GB programme and it's made up of obviously the English players, | :03:53. | :03:55.
We don't have any Welsh players at the moment, | :03:56. | :03:58.
but we have done in the past and hopefully will in the future. | :03:59. | :04:01.
And so we have different tournaments that is GB, like the Olympics, | :04:02. | :04:04.
but the World Cup is for England and so our coach is able | :04:05. | :04:08.
to just select the English players and when it's GB, | :04:09. | :04:10.
they can select obviously the English and Scottish players. | :04:11. | :04:15.
Why is your hockey stick so different to the others? | :04:16. | :04:19.
Mine is the same as these guys' in normal play, | :04:20. | :04:21.
but in the penalties, I changed it to a super-long | :04:22. | :04:24.
41 inches goalie stick, which had the big head, | :04:25. | :04:26.
and that allows me to kind of get a bigger reach | :04:27. | :04:28.
Please will you sign this shirt for us? | :04:29. | :04:37.
Fantastic questions, weren't they, guys? Brilliant. | :04:38. | :04:51.
That's all from me, Newsround's back right here in about half an hour. | :04:52. | :04:54.
