One of the most famous golfing tournament's started in Scotland

and the world's number one golfer, Rory McIlroy, has teed off.

He's had an amazing year, so Ricky went to

You know you have made it in the business when you have got

your own driver, someone to carry your bags, and a set of wheels.

But this isn't America, this is a Holywood in Northern Ireland,

the joining age from 12 to eight just so he could become a member.

He is still only 25, but he has already achieved more than most

When Rory grew up here he was basically born into the club.

When he was seven or eight he was better than everyone.

He is ranked number one in the world.

He is one of the youngest ever player to win three of the four

biggest championships in golf and he has received an MBE from the Queen.

These young golfers are hoping to one day follow in Rory's footsteps.

He is a good inspiration and the fact that he lives so close

makes us want to play golf and our dream is to be just as good as him.
