Ricky here, with your evening update. As this soaking, storming

January continues, flooding has hit parts of the UK, with more rain on

the way. But in Wales, the storms have

brought some interesting things to the surface - shipwrecks. This is

Newsround. First, flooding continues to cause

massive problems in parts of the UK, and for some people, the nightmare

is just getting worse. 14 flood warnings are in place throughout

England, which means flooding is expected. Most of those warnings are

in south-west England, where the county of Somerset has seen huge

amounts of water having to be pumped off the land and into rivers to

drain away. Many people there are still trying to cope with the

effects of the flooding at the start of the year, and more rain is

forecast over the coming days. A lot of people who live on the Somerset

Levels regard those rivers as being like the arteries in the human body.

They say they have got clogged up over the last few years on and needs

be cleared out so that the whole system can function healthily.

As flooding is covering up lots of parts of England, in Wales, it is

what the bad weather has uncovered that everyone is talking about.

Three shipwrecks have been exposed on Carmarthenshire's beach after the

January storms battered the coast, shifting sand. It is thought that

they are from 200 or 300 years ago, when it was a popular, but

treacherous shipping route. Next to outer space, where China's

moon rover Yutu has hit a spot of trouble. Jade Rabbit, as it is also

known, has experienced mechanical problems. The rover arrived on the

moon's surface in December and was expected to operate for three months

to carry out experiments on the moon's soil. But it is thought that

the rocky surface has caused the rover a few difficulties. Now the

Chinese space agency need to organise repairs from back here on

earth! Spacecraft and mission sent to other worlds have on-board

computers which can talk to the computers on earth and communicate

problems backwards and forwards. If a problem arises, somebody sitting

in a ground station on earth in a space mission control centre can

send a repair command up to the spacecraft to hopefully fix the

problem remotely. Next, Europe's most active volcano,

Mount Etna, has had its first eruption of 2014. Take a look at

these awesome pictures. The nearby airport had to close as a safety

precaution, but no one had to leave their homes. This comes after a

particularly active 2013, a result of a new crater forming on the

southeastern side of the volcano. Last up, fancy wading through

freezing, muddy water before crawling under barbed wire? Me

neither. But some people love it. The weekend saw the annual Tough Guy

race in the West Midlands. Competitors also had to run through
