Good morning.

I'm Whitney, live from the Newsround

studio with all of the top

stories you need to know.

First up, people living in Paris

in France are getting ready

for flooding this morning.

Some of the wettest January weather

in more than a 100 years made

the River Seine rise to more

than five metres

above its normal level.

Hundreds of people have moved

out of their houses,

and some roads have been even been

closed.

Now to football, and Manchester

United have moved into the fifth

round of the FA Cup after beating

League 2 side Yeovil

Town last night.

The big talking point ahead

of the game was Alexis Sanchez's

debut, and he did not disappoint.

He put in a Man of the Match

performance and helped with two

the goals, as United eventually won

the game 4-0.

And finally, from a flying vacuum

cleaner to a clever crow

and a very fishy discovery.

Ricky's got it all covered

in this week's Stange.

First to some crows doing

some strange things.

What on Earth are they doing

with these twigs?!

Well, it turns out they are picking

away at the fibres at

the end of sticks to make

a sharp hook-like instrument.

It means they can stick it

into places like tree holes

to capture their prey more easily.

Animals making tools

is a pretty big deal,

and scientists are excited.

They found that when using

the hooked tools, the crows are ten

times faster at getting their snacks

than using just a simple twig.

Now, can I ask you, have you ever

seen a Russian cosmonaut flying

a vacuum cleaner in space?

Well, now you have!

That's right, this is how

Anton Shkaplerov gets his kicks 400

kilometres above planet Earth.

But who am I to judge?

I'm only jealous because

it looks really fun!

Anton said he was responding

to messages from members

of the public about whether he had

tried to fly the cleaner in space.

2018 might not get more

weird than this...

Actually, scrap that -

because here's a fish with hands!

A team of divers have discovered

a new population of what is thought

to be the world's rarest fish.

They're called red hand

fish, and get their name

because of their hand-like fins.

They can be found

crawling on the sea bed.

This new group was found

after divers spent two days

searching the area after a member

of the public reported

seeing the rare fish.

This week's Strange was really

strange!
