Good afternoon with big news about the discovery of hundreds of new

planets. Plus the daredevil preparing to jump of Mount Everest

in nothing but a suit with the wings. First, we have talked a lot

about the protests in Ukraine, but today things are happening fast. The

company's former president has reappeared after going on the run

and Russia has put its military on stand-by and the trouble has spread

to the south of the country. This is Kiev, Ukraine's capital city. Days

after the protesters won their battle, the streets are quiet. In

the beginning this was about whether Ukraine's people wanted to be closer

to Russia or the rest of Europe. But after days of violence the problems

are becoming more complicated. Former President Victor Yanukovych,

who disappeared after being forced from power last week, turned up in

Russia's capital city Moscow. He says he is still Ukraine's

president. Meanwhile, the Government that replaced him is struggling to

keep any kind of control and there are no police on the streets to keep

order. A lot of people are still concerned about the future of this

country, whether it can split in two. In terms of security, these men

remain in charge and the police have disappeared. And there are more big

problems in other parts of the country. This morning, armed men

took control of Government buildings in an area of Ukraine called Crimea.

Many people in this part of Ukraine feel they are more Russian than

Ukrainian. The Russian flag now flies above the Crimean parliament.

Further down the square they are pushing through the police lines,

waving flags and chanting. They are saying, we have waited for this

moment for 20 years, they want a United Russia. Today things have got

a lot more tense. The Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered

fighter jets and 150,000 troops to get ready. But the new Ukrainian

president has warned Russia not to move troops from their bases.

Britain, France and America are all worried about what is going on

because the chances of Ukraine staying United are getting worse. It

is causing concern for the people who live there. We spoke to Gurman,

Olev and Aleks who go to school in Kiev. It was not very scary, but it

was very worrying with the shots and the explosions and the school had to

close. Now there is a lot to catch up on because school has not worked

for four days. I want a new parliament and a new president and

Ukraine to become better. There is more on our website. NASA has

announced the discovery of 715 new planets from outside of our solar

system. It is the biggest announcement of new discoveries ever

made and it is all part of the hunt for a new Earth. The discovery of

this many new planets is a pretty big deal. The Kepler space telescope

was launched in 2009 on a mission to find new planets, including ones

that could support life like here on Earth. Before now Kepler had

discovered 250 new planets outside of our solar system, so the

discovery of 715 more is impressive. Four four of them are sitting in the

habitable zone where you are not too close to the stars and you are in

the zone where conditions are just right for liquid water and it is

that which we think is a key element for possible life to exist. But what

are scientists looking for? But they are quite likely to be made of gas,

so the search goes on. But with two more years of data to analyse, it is
