Astronauts hit a bit of a snag on their latest project. And...

The massive monument in France that's trying to disappear.

First, it's one of the biggest competitions for future writers.

The winners of the BBC's 500 Words are being announced, this morning.

It gives children the chance to come up with fantastic short stories -

and Ricky's been to meet the celeb judges.

So, it's just gone 9:30.

Chris Evans has just come off air on BBC Radio Two.

And that's because there's a very special guest, who is on her way.

She should be here in the next couple of minutes.

It's the Duchess of Cornwall.

And she's here to help Chris pick the 500 Words winners -

a short story competition that's for children.

So, the judges now will get together.

Go to a room on the third floor. Yeah.

And we have the Duchess as our head judge this year.

She'll sort out any argy-bargy. Do you think?

She'll have to, yeah, that's the deal!

We've got a time limit of one hour for each category.

We'll get down to the final three and award the gold,

silver and bronze.

And those guys will find it who they are at the Globe Theatre

during the final.

Did any make you cry this year? Oh, one did.

Out of more than 120,000 entries, they've been whittled down to 50.

And these judges, including the Duchess, will go through them

and decide the winners.

I thought they were lighter, funnier and more colourful this year.

The best final we've ever had, considering how good

last year's final was, at St James's Palace.

So, it's going to be a very, very special day.

This morning, all 50 finalists are the Globe Theatre

in London, where the winners are being announced.

So far the bronze winners have been announced -

in the 10-13s, it's The Great Cookie Quest, by Ben Bailey,

In the 5-9s, it's The Smoking Pipe by Fergus Gathorne-Hardy.

Well done, guys!

Up in space, astronauts trying to inflate a new space home have

hit a bit of a snag.

The inflatable pod didn't blow up properly.

It's meant to be part of a two year experiment to provide astronauts

with a comfortable place to live and work.

Another attempt will be made today.

Back on Earth, something else that's taking a while to sort out

is Jose Mourinho going to Manchester United.

The former Chelsea boss has now agreed a deal to take over the top

job at Old Trafford, although he's not

signed anything yet.

The club's expected to make an announcement later today.

Next - to some of football's future stars.

Match Of The Day Kickabout has a special show tomorrow morning

covering this season's Premier League Schools' Tournament

at the home of Everton, Goodison Park.

More than 350 children representing all 20 Premier League teams took

part, with the finals getting the full Match Of The Day treatment.

Zookeepers in Canada are continuing their search

for two sneaky capybaras that escaped from their enclosure.

The giant rodents look like this one and are thought to be hiding

in near-by creeks but there has been no sightings.

High Park Zoo is trying to lure them back by laying out food,

children have been giving their thoughts on where

the crafty creatures might be.

Places where there's, like, lots of stuff they can hide under.

I think they might have went out of the park at night time

and they're roaming around the city.

The semi-finals for Britain's Got Talent are over -

and last night it was one guy who made a big IMPRESSION

with the audience.

Craig Ball! CHEERING AND APPLAUSE.

Yes, the singing impressionist topped the public vote to make it

through to Saturday's grand final.

He was later joined by fellow singer Jasmine Elcock,

who won the judges' vote.

Now look at this artwork by a French street artist, who has

made the famous Louvre Pyramid in Paris disappear...

Well, almost!

He covered the huge glass monument with stickers that made it blend

in with the building behind it.

It will be available for people to see until next month.

Last up this morning, have a look at this elevated bus in China.

The plan has been shown off at a show in Beijing.

It's designed to run above the cars, and go over traffic.

Makers say it can take up to 1200 people on one journey.
