It's Thursday, and this is Newsround.

I get to judge our very own Newsround Halloween Bake Off.

The sharks that have been trained not to eat their tank mates.

But first, if you don't want to know who won

The winner of the Great British

That was the moment PE teacher Candice was crowned champ in front

She pulled off an epic picnic Showstopper with pig-shaped sausage

The three-time star baker beat Jane and Andrew to the top spot,

and of course this was the last full series on the BBC before

Bake Off may be over but with Halloween around the corner,

what better way to celebrate than by mixing the two.

Ricky, Jenny and Martin have been hard at work

baking their Halloween cakes to be judged by Junior Bake

Now it's time for us to reveal Newsround's star baker.

Guys, welcome to Newsround's Spooky Bake Off Challenge.

I am so excited to be here and to taste your creations.

But it is not just me who will be giving you the final judgment.

We have Junior Bake Off winner, Amari, to judge this competition!

It's looking like it is something that

Oh. In chocolate, maybe?

I really actually like white chocolate.

Yeah, I can't taste any white chocolate.

In terms of presentation...

Hmm... Yeah.

They have poured it out of the bag.

True. Yeah.

So maybe, like, presentation not so great but taste we're OK with?

Mm-hmm. OK.

Moving on to this one here. I think it is good.

OK, so I am going to take a scary one.

Why don't we go to the final one? Got this chunky chocolate cake.

I think it would've been better if they took it out the tin.

To Italy now, where two strong earthquakes hit last night

near the town of Perugia in the centre of the country.

It happened close to the area where a big earthquake happened

This time, while buildings collapsed and power lines have been damaged,

there are no reports of serious injuries.

Finally, have you ever wondered why, when you see sharks in an aquarium,

they're not just snapping away at all the other fish in there?

Well, sharks here at the Blue Reef Aquarium

in the north-east of England are being trained in "target

feeding" - that's when they learn to only take food from one part

So, how do you get them to come over?

Whatever, like, current song is in my head, I whistle it.

Their teeth are designed to take a bite of flesh so they don't hunt

for much things bigger than a fish that they would eat.

If these sharks weren't target-trained, there

It would simply mean that the sharks would eat wherever they want.

It could quite potentially mean the sharks could eat

If you have a large aquarium, you don't want the star

Eventually, the sharks will be taught to come to a stick

That's where they'll find their dinner.

And the training can also be used when the staff need to give

If they're target trained to come to a position to eat,

then we can give them oral medications and know which shark

So it's good news for the fish in here - they can swim around

without their toothy neighbour using them as a snack.
