Good morning, I'm Ricky and this is Newsround.

Coming up...

The big winners at this year's Oscars ceremony.

First this morning,

let's go straight to Los Angeles,

and the winners from last night's Oscars.

Last year's blockbuster Inside Out took home the best animation award.

The Disney Pixar film,

which focuses on what goes on inside the mind

of an 11-year-old girl, beat The Shaun The Sheep Movie.

Sam Smith took home an Oscar for best original song

for The Writing's On The Wall,

which was the theme for the latest James Bond movie.

And this man, Leonard DiCaprio, finally won an award for Best Actor

after being nominated six times in the past!

Football now, and Manchester City have won the first silverware

of the football season, beating Liverpool on penalties

in the League Cup Final.

It was 1-1 after extra time.

City's reserve goalkeeper Willy Caballero was their hero,

with three saves in the penalty shoot-out.

Yaya Toure stepped up to win the trophy for City.

Meanwhile in the Premier League, Manchester United's teenage striker,

Marcus Rashford, scored twice - AGAIN -

in their 3-2 win over Arsenal at Old Trafford.

Manager Louis van Gaal said he was a "special talent".

Spurs were also big winners - they cut Leicester's lead

at the top of the table to two points as they beat Swansea.

Imagine not being able to celebrate

your real birthday every year.

Well, that's what happens if your birthday happens today -

the 29th February - a date which only happens

during a leap year.

We went to meet Millie to find out more about

what it's like being a leapling.

Check this out.

Hi, everyone, I'm Milly, and I'm eight years old.

But I've only had two birthdays!

That's because I'm a leapling - born on the 29th of February.

A leap year is where, in February, there is an extra day,

and that counts as the 29th.

If you are born in a leap year

and you have a birthday on that day,

it only comes around once every four years.

I was four when I had my first birthday.

And I've had to wait until now for my second ever birthday.

It's really annoying -

it's only my real birthday once every four years.

All the other years,

I decide whether I want to celebrate my birthday

on the 28th of February or the 1st of March.

I feel special to have an unusual birthday -

every leap year, I get extra presents.

But now I have to wait four years until it comes around again!

At just 18 years old, Kyla Nelson is on the team

for Great Britain's womens basketball team.

She checked in with Newsround

to tell us about how the sport has changed her life.

I'm Kyla Nelson, I'm 18 years old,

and I play for the Great Britain women's basketball team.

I came into basketball from birth, really.

My dad was still playing when I was born.

Growing up, my brother was playing, so I wanted to copy my big brother.

I was about seven when I started playing for a local league team.

It is a privilege, having two people in your life

who played at such a high level.

It's great.

I just want to absorb everything they say.

What I love about basketball is just the hustle, the competitiveness

and the winning.

I love winning.

Basketball has helped my confidence a lot, growing up.

I was a little bit overweight when I was younger,

and sometimes when I have a bad game,

I don't know how good I am.

But, coming here and having team-mates like these girls

is amazing.

They've been so helpful, and I just want careers like theirs.

They have done some stuff that I just aspire to do myself.

You might find a mischievous bunny in your pocket money soon -

Beatrix Potter character Peter Rabbit is to become the first

children's literary character to appear on a UK coin.

He'll appear on a silver 50p released

to mark the 150th anniversary of the author's birth.

The Royal Mint, who make all of our coins,

said this will be the first of four of Beatrix Potter's characters

to feature on special coins this year.

Finally, on chilly winter mornings,

we all have to find ways to stay warm.

But, while we might wrap up in a hat and scarf,

zoo-keepers in Japan have been giving their capybaras

a special treat to keep them cosy.

This is Pepper, who, along with his friends,

has been taking a warming dip in a hot tub.

In a competition to see who loved the warm water the most,

Pepper won by bathing for 54 minutes and 58 seconds!

I wonder if his skin went wrinkly after that long soak?
