Good morning news fans, Ayshah here this Tuesday.

0:00:110:00:18

If you're a Huddersfield Town fan then yesterday could well have

0:00:180:00:21

been one of the best days of your life so far.

0:00:210:00:24

And here's why.

0:00:240:00:25

It was a tense penalty shootout after a nil-nil draw,

0:00:250:00:27

and Jordan Obita's effort was saved by Danny Ward, it was then

0:00:270:00:30

Christopher Schindler who held his nerve and scored

0:00:300:00:32

to send Huddersfield up to the Premier League.

0:00:320:00:34

Just look at those epic celebrartions!

0:00:340:00:35

Just look at those epic celebrations!

0:00:350:00:37

The West Yorkshire club have not played in the top flight since 1972.

0:00:370:00:43

And as you can imagine manager David Wagner was beyond pleased...

0:00:430:00:48

This is a fairy tale which is usually not

0:00:480:00:50

possible but they've done it and we are very, very happy.

0:00:500:00:52

I'm one of the happiest man on this planet at the minute I think and so

0:00:520:00:56

proud what the players have done and I'm happy for everybody who is

0:00:560:00:59

connected, the supporters of Huddersfield Town.

0:00:590:01:03

It's a tense time for Arsenal fans as they wait to hear if manager

0:01:050:01:08

Arsene Wegners's 21 year stint at the club is going to end.

0:01:080:01:11

Arsene met with the club's owners yesterday and we could hear later

0:01:110:01:14

today if he stays or goes.

0:01:140:01:15

He's faced a lot of criticism during the season and the Gunners

0:01:150:01:18

finished outside the Premier League top four for the first time

0:01:180:01:21

in his being in charge.

0:01:210:01:22

But they beat Chelsea on Saturday to win the FA Cup,

0:01:220:01:25

making him the most successful manager - and Arsenal

0:01:250:01:27

the most successful team - in the competition's history.

0:01:270:01:32

It's less than ten days until adults around the UK will be voting

0:01:370:01:41

on who they want to represent them in Parliament - which will

0:01:410:01:43

also decide which party forms the government.

0:01:430:01:45

And last night the leaders of the two biggest parties came

0:01:450:01:48

together to answer questions from an audience of voters.

0:01:480:01:50

The leader of the Labour Party Jeremy Corbyn was asked

0:01:500:01:52

if he supported the Queen, and about the amount of tax some

0:01:520:01:55

businesses have to pay.

0:01:550:01:56

Meanwhile the current Prime Minister Theresa May,

0:01:560:01:58

from the Conservative Party, was asked if she now supports the UK

0:01:580:02:01

leaving the group of countries called the European Union.

0:02:010:02:04

So we are just over a week away from the general election

0:02:120:02:15

but what exactly happens and what do words like party, constituency

0:02:150:02:18

and MP actually mean?

0:02:180:02:19

Here's Ricky to explain.

0:02:190:02:20

It's almost time for the general election,

0:02:200:02:21

doesn't sound like the

0:02:210:02:22

most exciting thing in the world but it is a huge deal and over

0:02:220:02:26

the next few weeks you will probably hear a

0:02:260:02:28

lot of...

0:02:280:02:29

This election.

0:02:290:02:30

General election.

0:02:300:02:31

General election.

0:02:310:02:32

A bit of

0:02:320:02:33

this...

0:02:330:02:34

MPs...

0:02:340:02:35

the government...

0:02:350:02:36

And almost certainly a few...

0:02:360:02:37

the general election...

0:02:370:02:38

vote...

0:02:380:02:39

So strap in and let me explain what some of

0:02:390:02:41

those words actually mean.

0:02:410:02:43

First up the election.

0:02:430:02:46

A general election usually happens every five years but

0:02:460:02:48

not always.

0:02:480:02:49

It's when people get to decide who should form a government

0:02:490:02:52

and run the country.

0:02:520:02:54

The Prime Minister, he or she is head of the

0:02:570:02:59

government here in the UK.

0:02:590:03:00

That person is responsible for most of the big

0:03:000:03:03

decisions that affect all of us.

0:03:030:03:04

They are in charge of the government.

0:03:040:03:06

BELL TOLLS.

0:03:060:03:09

And is usually formed by the party that wins the election!

0:03:090:03:13

Not that kind of party, you won't find cake and sausage rolls!

0:03:130:03:17

In politics a party is a group of people who share the same ideas.

0:03:170:03:20

There are quite a few parties.

0:03:200:03:23

That takes us on to MPs or members of

0:03:280:03:30

Parliament.

0:03:300:03:31

In fact there are 650 in total, their job is to look after

0:03:310:03:34

the people in their constituency, that's the area people voted for

0:03:340:03:37

them.

0:03:370:03:38

Those MPs also work in the Houses of Parliament which is where

0:03:380:03:41

new laws and ideas on the way the country should be run get talked

0:03:410:03:44

about.

0:03:440:03:46

On election day if you are 18 or over you will get to vote.

0:03:470:03:51

That means you get to choose who you want

0:03:510:03:53

to be your MP, the person who speaks in parliament for the area

0:03:530:03:56

you live.

0:03:560:03:57

But this is nothing like voting for the X Factor or Strictly

0:03:570:04:00

Come Dancing.

0:04:000:04:01

There is no app, you can't use your mobile phone and you

0:04:010:04:04

only have one vote.

0:04:040:04:05

You mark an X on a piece of paper at the polling

0:04:050:04:07

station which is usually inside a school so that means

0:04:070:04:10

on the day of the general election loads of you

0:04:100:04:12

get the day off!

0:04:120:04:14

So there you go - MPs, government, vote...

0:04:160:04:17

Simple!

0:04:170:04:20

Next, to the moment Britain's Got Talent judge and author,

0:04:250:04:27

David Walliams surprised some very lucky children - lets take a look.

0:04:270:04:30

I'm at a school in London and I'm just about to surprise over 200

0:04:300:04:33

schoolchildren.

0:04:330:04:35

Hello, everybody!

0:04:390:04:40

Hey, guys.

0:04:400:04:42

Nice to see you.

0:04:420:04:43

How are you doing?

0:04:430:04:45

All right.

0:04:450:04:47

Just then an evil thought crossed the girl's mind.

0:04:490:04:55

You wicked child, get out, get out of my office at

0:04:550:04:58

once, shoo.

0:04:580:05:01

But as Mindy took each step towards the door she blew a

0:05:010:05:03

little bottom bubble in the direction of the lady.

0:05:030:05:06

One more sound out of you and you will be

0:05:060:05:08

expelled, do you hear me?

0:05:080:05:09

Expelled.

0:05:090:05:12

If any of you guys are into writing stories of your own something to

0:05:160:05:19

remember is to make your baddies funny and maybe make

0:05:190:05:21

them, the scary stuff

0:05:210:05:22

funny too because it creates a balance in the story.

0:05:220:05:26

Keep your eyes and ears open at all times if you

0:05:330:05:35

want to be a writer because you never know when a great

0:05:350:05:38

idea might land in your lap.

0:05:380:05:40

If you are lucky enough to have uncles, aunties,

0:05:440:05:46

grannies, grandads, ask them questions about their life because I

0:05:460:05:49

bet they did loads of exciting things before you ever met them.

0:05:490:05:50

See you later, have a great day.
