We did a survey asking more than 1,000 kids from across | :00:52. | :00:53. | |
the country from all backgrounds about their hopes for the future. | :00:54. | :00:57. | |

We asked whether the colour of your skin can affect what you | :01:12. | :01:30. | |
One in five black children said they thought | :01:31. | :01:35. | |
their skin colour would affect what job they could get in the future. | :01:36. | :01:40. | |
Children from a black background were more likely to say they | :01:41. | :01:43. | |
Although black children felt like they were the most ambitious, | :01:44. | :01:48. | |
they also thought that teachers were less likely to describe them | :01:49. | :01:52. | |
as clever compared with children from a white background. | :01:53. | :01:57. | |
