Good morning, guys. Ayshah here with some incredible stuff on the way,

including... The dramatic rescue of the parachuter who passed out in

mid-air. Plus, the couple who found a wild cat at their breakfast table.

Only on Newsround. First, to more weather misery

expected to hit parts of the UK over the weekend. Heavy rain is due

across southern England with further flood warnings and huge tides,

called coastal surges, expected to hit towns and villages by the sea.

Strong winds and high tides are expected to cause damage on the west

coast of England and Wales. Somerset is one area already flooded. BBC

reporter Andrew Plant's been there this morning and says people are

expecting things to get even worse. They are doing everything they can.

This is one of their solutions, bags lined up all the way along the river

of sand and a bit of plastic put over the top. It gives the river

bank a few extra feet to try and contain whatever water might be on

the way. This is a really good illustration of where all the water

is running off the Somerset levels and where it ends up. There should

be a big archway in the middle but it's so swollen that there is no

archway visible. This is a tidal river. At high tide it begins to

back-up. The fear is it will then spill-over. The first round of the

Syria peace talks aimed at ending the war comes to an end today in

Geneva, with little sign of any progress. The Syrian government and

opposition are still deeply divided over key issues such as ending the

violence and allowing humanitarian aid in to some areas. Lakhdar

Brahimi says he hopes to see developments during the second round

of talks, which start in ten days. This is the beginning of our

process. It was necessary to let the two parties express themselves

sometimes in very strong terms about their feelings, their hopes, their

fears. Today is one of the most exciting days in the sporting

calendar, transfer deadline day. Footy clubs have about 16 hours left

to try and secure the signings they need for the rest of the season.

Here to guide us through what's likely to happen is BBC sports

reporter Mike Williams. What is likely to happen? This is the day

that football fans look forward to all dread. All business has to be

done by 11pm. It looks as though the Premier League leaders, Manchester

City, you wouldn't think they'd need any players, they've scored 110

goals this season already and have the biggest and strongest squad in

the country, but they are believed to be in for two Portuguese players

from Porto. A midfielder and Fernando is a defender. They'll be

looking to bring them to the Etihad Stadium for ?40 million. Having --

haven't some of the biggest signings already been done? Guess, the player

who's gone for the most money so far and made the biggest headlines, Juan

Mata joined Manchester United from Chelsea for ?37 million. He's

already made an impact, Manchester United beat Cardiff 2-0. United fans

will be hoping he can continue that form towards the end of the season.

Chelsea have acted quick to replace them and have brought in an Egyptian

winner from Basel, who they hope will replace Mata. Will there be any

big prize -- surprises today? That could be. Plenty of clubs scrambling

to get their business done before the window closes this evening.

Arsenal were the big spenders last summer when they brought in Ozil.

This year they've been pretty quiet, all they do have a rumoured bid in

for Draxler, of Schalke. Will he bring him in before the deadline

this evening? We shall see. The big story in London could see Dimitrov

Berbatov leave Fulham and join Spurs. Spurs spent ?100 million last

summer. They haven't spent any think this window. Will they bring in

their old striker? Now if you think transfer deadline day is dramatic,

I'm afraid it's nothing compared to this. This is the moment a British

skydiver was knocked unconscious, seconds after jumping out a plane at

more than 12,000ft up. James Lee passed out after colliding with

another diver. Luckily he was rescued by quick-thinking friends

who noticed and activated his parachute. He came around just as

the parachute opened and landed safely. A family in Chile got a big

shock when they went downstairs for breakfast, and found a puma in their

kitchen! The two-year-old cat managed to lock himself in their

house and caused a bit of a mess, as you can see. That's all from me.
