I get that a lot. I watch a lot of BBC.

Probably a good idea, cos yours stunk.

I thought it was pretty good. You guys know the truth.

In yesterday's Officially Amazing, chip shop supremo Stephanie

smashed her way to a new chip-wrapping record

in what was literally a fight in a chip shop.

And Al showed why he's not a professional baseball player,

before Lauren broke the world record for fastest pitch by a female.

But new for you in this morning's Officially Amazing Extra,

we have a delicious and unseen ice cream record attempt.

And you get to see what happens when things go wrong whilst we're filming.

But first, a record attempt I've just got to show you

again from yesterday.

It's Sam and Mark in something:

-Ah!

Hello! CHEERING

This is CBBC's Live In Leeds event,

and Sam and Mark are here to try and break records.

Previously, Mark set a new

world record for flipper skipping.

Now their challenge is all about pants.

This record is for the:

-Have you seen pants this big before?

-They're mine, actually.

-Sorry, Mark.

I don't know how they got in there.

Here are the rules. One pair of pants should be worn before the attempt.

ParticiPANTS - hee-hee! - can only put on one pair at a time, and they

need at least 16 pairs in 30 seconds

to set a new Guinness World Record.

You'll notice the boys are wearing tights.

This helps the pants go on smoothly

and makes them look a bit silly, which I like.

Sam's up first. It's pants o'clock. You only have 30 seconds to beat 16.

-Ready.

-Really nervous here!

Are you ready? CHEERING

I thought so. OK, let's count him down. From three, two, one!

-GO!

-Oh, already bad.

-That's one pair of pants.

-Come on!

-Oh, a foot fumble from Sam. That'll slow him down.

-How long's left?

-Come on, Sam!

-Sam is so into this right now. Look at this.

He's a pro pants putter-onner-erer.

-Come on, Sam!

-Four pairs on already, setting a quick panty pace. Oh!

But he's had a shocker there. Will that cost him?

HOOTER BLARES Stop!

End of the record. Crowd, do we think he broke the record?

-CROWD:

-No!

Was that a no? LAUGHTER

Oh, dear. Well, at least you look good.

-Thanks.

-Now, come over here for a minute.

We need to confirm whether this was a record or not.

-You achieved eight in 30 seconds.

-Terrible.

Not quite a new Guinness World Record. You needed 16.

Well, let's give a round of applause anyway.

Keep it light, cos it was only halfway to the record. Very well.

-Very well judged clap there. OK, Mark. You've seen what Sam did.

-Yeah.

-Do you think you can break a record?

-I'm going to do it.

-At the very least, do you think you can beat Sam?

-Yeah.

-OK.

So, the challenge has been set. Sam, come join me.

Take your shoes off first. Oh, he's got his shoes on, Sam.

-Will it affect him?

-I don't know. He's looking good.

He's really got his knickers in a twist!

The other foot's caught too. Nightmare!

Who knew that putting on pants would prove so problematic?

-Deary me.

A slow start but now his pants are on fire!

Look at him go.

HOOTER BLARES Stop! That's it!

And I'm afraid that pair doesn't count, Mark.

-Anna, how did that look to you?

-You only achieved five.

Making ice cream is an art form that dates back centuries and,

just like Little Ben here, everyone enjoys it.

There's no way he'll scoff that before it melts.

This is 72-year-old Paolino Salomoni, or Paul to his customers.

He's been making and selling ice cream for 48 years

and already holds the record for the longest career as an ice-cream man.

And it's a family business with son-in-law Neil.

The Guinness World Record Paul will be attempting today is for the:

Haruka is in Japan for - you can probably guess -

a table tennis record attempt.

-Meet Mima Ito, Japan's 12-year-old table tennis sensation.

She's already won international junior events

against much older opponents

and is aiming to represent Japan in the real Olympics in 2016.

Here she is counterhitting - or just hitting, to us -

with her partner, Tacshow.

Mima already holds the current record, along with Tacshow,

at an amazing 180 counterhits in a minute.

For this record, they must keep the rally going for the whole minute.

One mistake and it's over.
