# Officially, officially, officially amazing! #
Time now to check in with our officially competitive contestants.
The trio that compete each show to break world records
you can try at home.
Representing the United States,
it's the flipping, marvellous US Ray.
For the UK, it's the slightly less energetic Sizzling Steve.
And for Japan, it's the king of koi, Mr Cherry.
With four different events completed,
the competition is tight.
Sizzling Steve and US Ray
have one victory each.
But leading the way with two wins
and two Guinness World Records,
it's Mr Cherry.
Today's Officially Competitive Guinness World Record attempt is...
Sounds easy enough...
although not when you're blindfolded!
'I caught up with the Sizzle Man to get a penny for his thoughts
'on this record attempt.'
How confident are you of grabbing this record?
Well, I wouldn't say put the pork on the barbecue yet,
-but we'll find out.
-I don't think it's a phrase, is it, Steve?
-"Put the pork on the barbecue"?
-Well, it's a new phrase now.
Er, here are the rules.
Two tables need to be positioned 1.5m apart
with the piggy bank on one and the 20 coins on the other.
Only one coin can be picked up at a time
and the blindfold must stay on for the whole attempt.
The record to beat is 36.01 seconds. Let's get banking.
Steve, assume your position, please.
OK, I'll count you in. Three, two, one...
'Sizzling Steve has opted for the twopence piece
'as his coin of choice.
'You can use any coin you like if you try this at home.'
He's got that motion going... Excellent.
'He needs to be quick
'if he's going to bring home the bacon for Britain.'
Yes, keep it up now.
'That is one greedy pig,
'but the Sizzler is slotting these coins away nicely
'in the UK piggy bank.'
Come on, Steve.
-Come on, Steve.
Oh, that felt quick.
'But will Sizzling Steve have been quicker than his rivals
'in the USA and Japan?'
Ray, the quarters are in position. I'm going to count you in.
-Mr Cherry, are you ready?
'Cherry is looking fast.
'He may be blindfolded
'but he's at one with the Japanese piggy bank.
'Maybe kneeling is helping?'
Each is using his own countries currency - cents and Japanese yen.
'My main man, Ray, has found his rhythm, but it's not a fast one.
'That little American piggy is filling up quite slowly.'
'Yes! Mr Cherry has stormed his attempt. Seemed very speedy to me.'
'Just waiting for Ray.
The results are in and, as expected, in third place is US Ray
with a pigging slow time of 52.84 seconds.
Way slower than the current record
of 36.01 seconds.
So, who is the victor today, and have they beaten it?
What you have achieved now is...
Jubilant scenes in Japan.
Mr Cherry has broken the world record!
Oink! Oink! Oink! Give me money! Oink! Oink! Oink!
But it's not over yet.
What about our man, Sizzling Bacon?
Is it time to throw the pork onto the barbecue?
Still not a phrase.
'It is, I can't believe it!
'Sizzling Steve has snatched victory, beating Mr Cherry
'by less than a second and claiming an Officially Amazing World Record.
'That brings him level with Cherry
'overall in the competition,
'with two wins each.
'Join us next time for another thrilling chapter
'of Officially Competitive.'
