Aliens Have Landed Prank Patrol Down Under

Today, Jock joins the Prank Patrol.

His mission - to make his two friends believe

an alien invasion is taking place at his house.

I saw two flashes of light.

It's close encounters of the Prank Patrol kind,

but we help people like you pull off the prank of their lives.

Hi, Prank Patrol, I need your help.

I want to prank my two good friends, Alex and Lachie, because I know

they'll love it, and I also want to see their expressions!

The target of Jock's prank are his friends, Lachlan and Alex.

These guys love hanging out

and causing all sorts of mayhem and mischief.

Jock, welcome to our Prank Patrol spy den. Let's talk business.

-Who are we pranking?

-Lachlan and Alex.

Alex likes mythical creatures and all that,

and Lachie will believe everything.

What reactions will they give us?

Lachie's likely to go, "Aaaghh!"

And Alex, he's just gullible.

I reckon we've got the perfect prank.

Scotty, your hair glitter gel has arrived in the mail.

-Do you use glitter hair gel?

Neither do I. Yeah, that's weird.

I don't know what Mum's on about.

So this is it, it's called Aliens Have Landed.

The blueprint is we're going to get Alex and Lachie

over to your house for a sleepover.

A news bulletin will come on, saying crop circles

-have been spotted in your area.

-Sounds awesome.

There'll be all these flashing lights and to top it all off,

we're going to have a real live alien turn up to your house.

-How does that sound?

-That sounds great.

We've got a lot to do.

But the first thing we need to do is get a real live alien.

Ninjas, let's hit the road!

Time to head out to the country and whip up a crop circle or two.

OK, Jock, we've come to this open paddock

to create evidence of alien landing.

Now, of course, crop circles

are the first immediate sign of an alien invasion.

-So, are we up for it?

-Let's get to it!

We need to design the crop circles.

We don't want it too complicated,

or else we might be here till the aliens really land!

-Hey, nice gumboots.

-You too!

-So what are you thinking?

I think we should have a big circle, with a small circle inside.

And after this, we should have another circle.

Sounds great. Let's get crop circling!

-All right!

-Wait a minute...

we're going to need some help, it's a pretty massive job.

I know just who to call.

Ninjas, can you give us a hand making some crop circles?

'Busy?! When are you guys busy?'

Right-oh, if it's that important.

Looks like it's just us.

THEY GIGGLE

Got a late-night house guest

you want to cause some late-night unrest to?

Well, here's your chance with today's recipe.

All you need is a tape recorder,

a blank tape, and some scary creativity.

Fast-forward your blank tape for 15 or 20 minutes,

so there's silence for the first half of the tape.

Then record some whacked out creepy noises.

You know, the same type of scary sounds in any horror movie.

CAT YOWLS

If you want to get all hi-tech about it, you can do the same sort

of thing on your computer, and create a CD instead.

Next, hide your player somewhere near your target, but out of sight.

Press play, quietly slip away.

Then, when your target's all alone,

strange noises will seem to come from nowhere.

-SCREAMS

-And it all goes well,

the target should have an experience that's out of this world!

Newest Prank Patrol recruit, Jock, is out to prank his best mates,

Lachlan and Alex, by making them think aliens have landed.

Time to get creative amongst the crops.

You can make a crop circle by landing your alien spacecraft

in a wheat field or by attaching some rope to a board

that you can then use to flatten the wheat yourself.

Both have the same effect, but one takes a lot longer!

Seeing as my spaceship is at the mechanics,

-we'll be doing it the long way. Take this, Jock.

-Thanks.

Now, first of all, we get this stake and we put it into the ground.

That'll be the centre of our circle.

-How big do you want your crop circle?

-Huge!

We'll attach some rope to this, we'll put something really heavy

on the perimeter, we'll track it round,

and we'll make a perfect circle. It'll take ages.

-Cheers. Ready to do this?

-Yeah.

-Come on, then.

Right, so can you see we're dragging a circle behind us?

-Yeah.

-That's how it's going to be.

-Oh!

-Aw!

-Come on, come on!

There.

That was a brilliant idea.

This is hard work!

You keep going, I'm going to get some water.

-Hey, Jock!

-What?

Don't worry about it, I've got a better idea!

Woohoo-hoo-hoo!

-Whooh! So, what do you think?

-Pretty big!

-It's good, isn't it?

What will your friends think when they see it?

-Aliens have landed!

-Fantastic.

There's only one more thing to do,

-that's to get a news reporter for our news report.

-Right.

-Hi, guys.

-G'day! Jock, this is Kate Smith, our news reporter.

-Hi, Jock, how are you?

-Good.

-Welcome to the party, Kate.

-Thank you.

Kate's going to be reporting the news on the UFO sighting.

So, tell her what the situation is, Jock.

We've made this crop circle

and we're going to shoot some blurry images of a UFO.

Sounds good. So, what do you want me to say in the news report?

I want it to be believable,

so it's got to be a breaking news report.

And maybe some local authorities in there.

-Mention the local authorities?

-Yeah.

-What about interviews?

Have you thought about that?

May be a local farmer, because this could be his farm.

That's a good idea.

Now you're thinking like a real news reporter.

-Ever reported on UFOs before?

-I have not, no!

Well, no time like the present, guys.

-Let's do it.

-Camera ready?

-Ready!

-Audio good?

-Yep.

-All right, rolling in three, two, one...

-Action!

As you can see, this is absolutely unbelievable.

I have never seen anything quite like this before.

Earlier, when reports first came through,

a local farmer only five kilometres from here

sent in a home video, which appears to be of a UFO.

Local authorities have confirmed it's not a hoax,

and we caught up with this farmer a little earlier today.

I'd seen this thing off in the distance,

just sort of floating over the grass there.

And now, there's just this massive hole in the wheat.

Crikey, I've never seen anything quite like it.

I don't know what it was, but if it was a UFO,

I don't think I want to see that thing again.

Local authorities are urging anyone with information

on this unusual event to come forward.

I've brought along my remote-controlled helicopter.

We can dangle a fake UFO from the bottom of it.

-I can fly it around, you'll get what you're after.

-Cool.

And guys, I'll film it on my camera. Ben, let's fire it up.

The UFO, or Unidentified Flying Object,

is in reality the inside of a chocolate box

which is attached to a mini helicopter.

We're going to shoot it hovering above the crop circles,

and include the footage in our fake news report.

Cut! Cut, cut. Thanks, Ben. I think we've got it.

Yeah, but you might want to wash your face!

What do you mean?

Righteo. So your friends are going to come in here.

Yeah, you keep saying that.

The power will go out and you guys will freak out.

We'll catch it on the hidden cameras.

This area's new to you, you might not recognise them.

-We've also got some outside. Check them out.

-Jock, I got you one of these for old time's sake.

When you and your friends see the lights and hear the sounds,

you'll come outside and walk over to that shed.

-We put it there.

-It's always been there. It's my house.

Jock, you keep saying that.

When you walk up to that shed, a friendly, but scary

neighbourhood alien will come out, who'll be played by me.

-So, we're good to go. How are you feeling?

I woke up with it this morning, it's pretty creepy.

Something's bitten you in the dark and you've got bruises.

I had this freaky dream last night.

There were, like, flashing lights and I woke up with this on my arm.

It's really itchy.

Aliens abducted you! Jock...

Mum thinks it's just dirt, but it won't come off.

It's really bothering me.

-It kind of does look a bit like dirt.

-Yeah.

Jock is like this, "That's really itchy.

"Suddenly, I have an urge for raw meat!"

Hey, guys? I've just had a weird phone call from a friend.

Apparently, there's some really weird lights in Gisborne.

She was listening to the radio.

Do you reckon we can turn on the TV and see?

Yeah. It's like my dream.

She said there were these really weird lights

that no-one's ever seen in Gisborne.

Maybe there's some news about it.

' Dude, is this chick for real?'

Wait, where's the picture?

-Breaking news.

-Crop circles?

-NEWS REPORTER:

-'Earlier this morning crop circles were discovered

'in around half a dozen fields in the Gisborne area of Victoria.

'That's down the road!'

'The strange thing about these circles...'

-That's just around the corner.

-That's our fields!

When our camera tried to get within two metres...

...and subsequently shut down.

Let's have a look at what happened when we tried to get a little closer.

We'll head into the field now.

It's about three rows in, the crop circle.

-Are you still getting me here?

Looks like our targets are taking the bait.

As you can see, this is unbelievable.

I have never seen anything quite like this.

A rash I woke up with this morning.

-That's weird.

What is going on?

I believe that there's aliens

because how can we be the only ones alive in such a small world?

They are aliens.

-And who did the crop circles?

-Aliens!

It could've been a kid with a big board for all we know.

'With our targets already spooked,

'it's time to take it to another level.'

'Hey! The lights are back on.'

-How can it just turn on like that?

-That's how they mainly go.

I didn't hear a switch go off.

It was just, like, a power surge.

The circuit breaker was off. I don't know what's going on.

It wasn't a power surge?

Then what was it?

I might go and check with the neighbours

and see if they've got the same things.

Who's that? Is that a neighbour?

-Yeah.

-Hi, I'm sorry, I know it's really late.

I was just about to go out

and my car just stopped and my phone's not working either.

Looks like Jock's family

aren't the only ones experiencing something weird.

It was like a flash of light and everything stopped working.

-Something weird like a blackout?

-Did you see a flash of light?

Yeah. It was weird. It was like a dream....that my car was in it?

No. But a flashing light.

I saw two flashes of light.

That's what it was like.

Like flashes of light and then my car stopped working.

That's what I had in my dream, flashes of light.

-That's weird.

-Did you get a power blackout?

Yeah. My house, my car, my phone. Everything.

-Have you been watching TV?

-Is it working now?

What was on the TV?

There was crop circles.

We think it's a field that's around the corner.

-Crop circles.

-This is so cool.

I totally believe in aliens.

Me too! Mythical creatures, dragons!

I reckon they've got an air space above Gisborne that they use

as an interplanetary meeting point, like a service station in the sky,

cos stuff happens here all the time.

I've seen so many weird things over time.

-That's probably why the power went out.

-I like aliens but...

When they went in the middle of the crop circle,

all the power went out.

That's what happens, I've heard that. Happens a lot.

It's kind of weird.

Why would it just happen at the crop circle

then suddenly happen to Gisborne?

That's what happens though...

I've heard so much about this stuff.

'Time to see just how much these boys believe in extra-terrestrials.'

-It's freaky!

'Uh-oh! Is that door over there opening up?'

-SCREAMING

-I feel sick!
