Welcome to Style Booth, and today, I'm going to teach you

how to make one of these cool, customised collars.

Collars are everywhere at the moment, but I'm going to teach you how

to make one without actually having to wear a shirt.

And you can personalise it, too.

So all you need is an old shirt like this, and today, I'm going

to use some little gems, but you can use anything, really.

So make sure that the shirt is an old one

that you don't want to wear again,

because we're going to cut the collar off.

So maybe you could use one of your old school shirts.

So what I'm going to do first is cut off the collar.

And a good tip is to make sure that you cut under the top button,

because you're going to fasten that around

whatever outfit you're wearing.

So now you've separated your collar from the shirt,

we can throw the rest of it away.

BANG!

So, you might have a few frayed bits on the end of your collar,

so you just want to trim them off and tidy it up a bit

so it looks nice and neat.

So now that I've cut all the frays off,

what I'm going to do is glue my little gems onto the corners.

To do this, you need to make sure you've got some fabric glue at hand.

And that's how you make a customised collar in three simple steps.

Let's take a look at how to make it again.

Step one - find an old shirt you don't mind ruining,

and cut the collar off.

But get a grown-up to do it if you're too young,

and trim the edges up if they're untidy.

Step two - get your decoration

- studs, lace, anything you want -

and stick to the corners of each collar.

Step three - button on the collar and pick an outfit so you match.

But you can make different coloured collars

to go with different outfits, of course.

But what Style Download would be complete without the ultimate test?

I'm so confident these collars can pass off as real shirts,

I've actually asked Aidan to model three of them,

but one of them is fake, so I'm going to see if I can spot which one it is.

And finally, the summer look.
