Welcome to the Style Booth,

where today I'm going to give you another top style tip for your hair.

Now, last series I was telling you all about the top knot.

These days, all the rage is about the sock knot.

So if you want to know how to get your hair looking like this,

then listen very carefully.

Now, loads of celebrities are wearing their hair like this.

And the best part is, all you need

is one of these, a sock, and a hairband.

OK, so the first thing I'm going to do is tie my hair back

into a high ponytail.

Now, you can make this as neat or as scruffy as you like.

And then secure your ponytail with a hairband.

If you've got some little wispy bits at the side,

a neat little trick is to use hairspray.

Spray it on your comb or your brush...then just comb the sides.

So the next step is when the sock comes into play.

So I'm going to use a black one, cos this is closest

to the colour of my hair, but you can use any sock -

an odd one, a coloured one, anything that you want.

So you're going to take your scissors.

If you're a younger viewer, ask an adult for help.

And you're going to cut the toe off.

What you're going to do is roll your sock like this.

And then it's hopefully going to look like...like a little doughnut shape.

So the next thing you're going to do is take your sock

and feed your ponytail through the middle of the sock, like so.

But you're not going to go all the way down your ponytail -

you want to leave this much and just put the ends through.

The next thing I'm going to do is tuck the end underneath...

the sock, like so.

And roll.

And that's it.

But if you think you missed any of that, here are those steps again.

Tie your hair into a ponytail.

Spray a little bit of hairspray onto a brush or a comb.

Spray it away from your face in a ventilated room.

And comb the top of your head to smooth down.

Cut the toe off an old sock and scrunch into a doughnut shape.

Place over your ponytail and start to roll down,

folding your hair underneath it as you go.

Remember - the longer the sock, the thicker the bun will be.

And that's it. Perfect for an odd sock.
