So, our adventure begins.

There was treasure hidden on a mysterious island,

but that pesky pirate Red Tail was after the treasure, too,

so there was no time to lose,

..we stumbled into the fearsome nippers!

-We had to find a way past those fearsome nippers

as fast as we could.

This is easy.

We're through, come on!

-It looked like those clever crocs

were one jump ahead of us!

That's it! First we hop,

then we skip,

then we jump!

We'd made it past, but there was no time to dilly-dawdle!

The treasure was still out there

and I needed to get to it before that pesky pirate Red Tail.

We carried on to the edge of Crooked Canyon,

-but we couldn't find a way across.

-He's right! It's too far to jump.

What did you and Gerbil Jim do?

We listened to the words of Grey Belly, a mysterious and wise Numtum.

If you want to cross the canyon wide,

build a bridge to the other side!

Why's Hobart talking all funny?

I'm acting mysterious and wise!

Come on, Dar Dar, we need to build a bridge.

-It's too short.

-Oh, let me try mine.

Urgh, nope.

Hey, everyone, look!

-This plank is longer than the others.

-That's the one we need.

The gaps between the rocks are different lengths.

The planks are different lengths, too.

So, if we match the length of the planks to the length of the gaps...

BOTH: We can make the bridge.

We need the longest plank

then the shorter one and, last, the shortest one.

As we crossed the bridge,

the mysterious wise old Numtum showed us which way to go.

We were hot on the trail of the treasure again.

We had crossed the whole island and knew the treasure must be near,

but it was nowhere to be seen.

Bingo! Look, there it is!

Ooh, it's so shiny. Come to Humpty Do!

Wait, what about the...?

HE SCREAMS

-..prickles?

-If we can't get past the prickles what are we going to do?

I'm sure I could reach the treasure from that tall rock.

HE GRUNTS

The rock's too high.

-That one is, but look, you can jump onto the lowest rock.

-Brilliant!

-Hup!

-Then onto the higher rock.

-Hup!

-Then the highest rock.

Huh!

We did it, we did it! We have to get a photo of this.

-That was the best adventure ever!

ALL: Gladdy?!

Pirate Red Tail to you! Now, give me that treasure. Ah-harr-rr!

We had to get the treasure home before Red Tail could catch us.

-But which way is home?

-I'm on your tail, Numpup pirates! Whoa-ho!

-Quick, which way?

-We need to remember the way we came.

-And work backwards.

-I know! We can use the photos.

The last photo of us was getting the treasure

and, before that, we built the bridge.

Give me back my treasure!

Oh, everybody, run back to the canyon, quickly!

-The bridge!

-It's gone.

-But we need to get back across the canyon.

We'll just have to build the bridge again.

But this time, since we're going backwards

-we need to build the bridge backwards.

What I mean is, last time, we put the planks down in order.

First, the longest, then the shorter one, then the shortest.

But now we're going backwards, so the order needs to go backwards, too.

So, this time, we need to start with the shortest.

-And then, the one that's a bit longer.

-And then, the longest plank.

-There.

-Amazing!

-ALL: Hooray!

Quickly, where do we go next?

The fearsome nippers!

Gerbil Jim and I had no choice but to face them all over again.
