the telephone at all. Another one tells us they are based at a | :06:51. | :06:55. | |

each of the other five cases, the people we spoke to refused to tell | :07:00. | :07:04. | |
us where our food came from. As it turns out, they might have a very | :07:04. | :07:08. | |
good reason for not wanting to tell us, because we have since discovered | :07:08. | :07:13. | |
that not one of them is registered with the local environmental health | :07:13. | :07:18. | |
office. No member of the public should be buying food from premises | :07:18. | :07:22. | |
which are not registered with the local council, or premises which do | :07:22. | :07:26. | |
not meet health and hygiene standards. It is a very, very | :07:26. | :07:31. | |
serious risk to public health. not only a risk to public health, | :07:31. | :07:39. | |
but also, and it does not end with those seven restaurants with false | :07:39. | :07:43. | |
addresses, because we have since discovered that eight of the | :07:43. | :07:45. | |
restaurants we did manage to find have also failed to register with | :07:45. | :07:50. | |
their local authorities. Unregistered and Mrs could be | :07:50. | :07:58. | |
prosecuted and closed down. Just Eat are responsible for those businesses | :07:58. | :08:03. | |
they are advertising online. They should make sure that all businesses | :08:03. | :08:13. | |

are registered with their local what they've DONE. They say that as | :08:14. | :08:16. | |
a result of Watchdog's investigation, they have suspended | :08:16. | :08:19. | |
all the restaurants with fake addresses. And they say that they | :08:19. | :08:21. | |
have tightened their registration processes to prevent other | :08:21. | :08:22. | |
restaurants using false addresses in future. They have told us they | :08:22. | :08:25. | |
welcome a wider debate with the relevant bodies on tackling the | :08:25. | :08:28. | |
industry-wide issue of unlicensed trading. All very well. We'd welcome | :08:28. | :08:32. | |
an explanation. If some of the restaurant addresses are fake, | :08:32. | :08:36. | |

address, you really have no idea where it was made, or in what | :08:58. | :09:01. | |
conditions. No, you don't. And what's just as worrying is that even | :09:01. | :09:04. | |
when a restaurant on the Just Eat website DOES give a real address, | :09:04. | :09:14. | |

that doesn't guarantee it meets the proper standards. And here is why we | :09:17. | :09:21. | |
are able to say that. Since we went on our road trip, we have checked | :09:21. | :09:25. | |
the official food hygiene ratings of all of the restaurants we managed to | :09:25. | :09:30. | |
locate, and here are the results. Of the rated restaurants in Scotland, | :09:30. | :09:34. | |
80% have been judged as requiring improvement. And in England and | :09:34. | :09:40. | |
Wales, out of a possible rating of five, 40% of the rated restaurants | :09:40. | :09:47. | |
listed on the site scored just two, one, or even zero. A no hygiene | :09:47. | :09:51. | |

following the well established guidelines that we would have | :23:26. | :23:31. | |
expected them to follow. And in the dispute we are up holding in favour | :23:31. | :23:35. | |
of consumer, we are increasingly seeing insurance companies who have | :23:35. | :23:40. | |
made decisions on claims, which were not only tough bun fair. | :23:40. | :23:45. | |
Twins Jake and Summer know all about unfair. They lost their father last | :23:45. | :23:53. | |
October. For much of his last year he was fighting cancer and his | :23:53. | :23:56. | |
insurers Friend's Life. Even though he was dying they were refusing to | :23:56. | :24:00. | |
pay out on his critical illness life insurance policy. When you are in | :24:00. | :24:04. | |
the middle of the worst year of your life, and you know your husband is | :24:04. | :24:09. | |
going to die soon, and Nick was in the middle of chemo, he was really | :24:10. | :24:14. | |
ill, I was working in London, trying to hold everything together. It was | :24:14. | :24:18. | |
absolutely, it was like a body blow. I remember opening the letter and | :24:18. | :24:22. | |
feeling sick and not believing that this could be happening. | :24:22. | :24:27. | |

He was determined. He said there was no way we are going to take this | :24:55. | :25:00. | |
lying down. We pulled together all the information, a number of | :25:00. | :25:03. | |
consultants said Nicks's colitis and the pins and needles were nothing do | :25:03. | :25:10. | |
with why he had died. Gall bladder cancer is very rare. But Friend's | :25:10. | :25:15. | |
