In the summer, Children in Need invited me to go and see some

of the work that you've been funding, and meet a very

Learning to swim is something every child should do.

And five-year-old Byron is no exception.

He has swimming lessons once a week and he's doing so well.

But for Byron, learning to swim is tough.

He has cerebral palsy, which makes it hard for him

And that's where Sally-Anne comes in.

She's a specially trained swimming instructor funded

What does she teach you?

Have you seen an improvement in Byron since he started swimming?

He couldn't use his limbs independently of each other.

The next stage for Byron is independent swimming.

and I do believe he will be able to achieve that.

At home, Byron doesn't have the freedom he has in the pool

and he misses out on doing simple things with his younger brothers.

But when he is in the pool, Byron not only gets fantastic

exercise, he also gets special time playing with his whole family.

It's just really nice because Byron is in a lot of discomfort and gets

in a lot of pain so to see him not necessarily pain-free

but being allowed to play with his brothers,

I think it's amazing that something so small like being in a swimming

pool with your family can make people so happy.

And it's because of your donations that Byron and other children

So please help us give this opportunity to more children

What a lovely little boy you are. We love how much you love swimming,

clearly it makes all the difference. As he says, it makes him feel free,

which I love. It costs ?50 for the family to use that hydrotherapy pool

for an hour, gives them time to play together as a family. As you can

see, it makes them all so happy. If tonight you can help us and donate,

we'd be truly, truly grateful. We promised you music. Next up, boy

Brill yanlt work. No surprise to any of you that Rochelle and I are big

music fans. Sometimes music is much more than just music, here's

Michelle Keegan to explain. I'd like you to meet a fantastic

little girl called Elodie and her big brother Finn

and they want to tell you how your donations have helped

put a smile on their faces. But she can still do lots and lots

and lots and lots of stuff. This is you and me

riding a motorcycle. You have a blue one

and I have a red one. You're the best sister

I could ever have. When Elodie was born,

her eyes were small and unfinished. And when she was a few months old,

one of her retinas detached followed We were told that there

is going to be a gradual deterioration of her

sight and she will lose Yeah, and I could do more fun stuff

and see more amazing For Elodie, being blind is not just

about a loss of vision. It's about a loss of all

the learning opportunities, so it's so important that we find

special ways of helping Elodie And that's why music

entered Elodie's life. She now visit Open Arts In Tune

workshops in Belfast, a project What we're trying to do is to give

them the confidence to be It's not just about

playing instruments. There's a lot going

on under the surface. They are feeling new things,

they're hearing new things, When you push those little

buttons... It's about essential skills

like listening and turn-taking, coordination, that are used

in all aspects of life. Elodie is just the happiest

girl in the world. She's finding out new things

about music every day. She's discovered what she really,

really, really enjoys. The workshop has helped Elodie

develop a love of music. We've noticed her confidence really

growing in the last year. When I can see her laughing

and enjoying herself it just Your donations will mean that more

children like Elodie can enjoy love that film, I love how music has

changed her life and given her such confidence. Let's give modern

children more confidence tonight, if you can afford to, please support

This year, welcome Break stuff posted a spectacular summer ball to

raise money for Children in Need. -- staff. They braved the elements,

took part in sponsored cycle through the Brecon Beacons. It's not just to

staff who deserve a huge thank you. Customers have been digging deep and

adding to Pudsey's piggybank by purchasing gingerbread buddies,

activity packs and lunch bags. Children in Need! DFS stores up and

down the country are continuing to support Children in Need this year.

Children in Need! The team here love to raise money for the children.

Customers gave kindly and donated to the Pudsey prize draw. We are asking

all customers if they'd like to make a ?5 donation which is the

opportunity to win their order for free. It's nice to see local things

being done for the community. Thank you so much to all of you. Let's do

a high five. One, two, three... Love that. I'm so sorry everyone, he has

this obsession with high-fiving, it's starting to be embarrassing. I

fight that. Don't leave me hanging... Over the years there have

steps. Who could forget this one, Katie Price and Peter Andre, look at

that! I mean we should have both come in the tonight. It was a big
