Welcome to the quiz that demands nothing less than Perfection.

Four contestants will hope their knowledge is flawless,

because one mistake could give the game away.

This is Perfection.

Hello and welcome to Perfection,

the quiz show where only perfect play is good enough.

Behind me are the contestants. We call them the Usual Suspects.

They are in our isolation room.

In a moment, we will find out which one has been randomly selected

to join me here to play.

They will then face a series of true or false statements.

For example, if I said Eddy Merckx won the Tour de France five times,

would you say that's true or false?

Well, if you'd said true, I can tell you you'd be right.

Answering true or false might seem easy,

but if the contestant gets a single answer wrong,

their opponents, the Usual Suspects,

will be allowed into the game to capitalise on their mistakes.

So, you know how the game works. Let's meet the Usual Suspects.

My name's Devin. I'm from Essex.

I'm a partner in an import/export company, and this is my first game.

I'm Detta. I live in Gravesend.

I'm a payroll administrator, and this is my second game.

I'm Chris. I'm from Swansea.

I'm a collections officer for an energy supplier,

and this is my third game.

I'm Sally. I'm from Berkshire.

I'm an HR advisor, and this is my fourth game.

which one of you has been randomly selected to play Perfection.

Let's hear a bit more about you.

I'm interested in your tennis interest,

because you've gone from sort of only vaguely interested,

-but only really took it up as a game sort of regularly, recently.

-Yeah.

In my 50s, I took it up. The work I had kept me very busy.

I had no me time.

And then I decided I did have me time when the children were teenagers,

so I wandered into a tennis club and said,

"I kind of like the look of this game. I'd like to play it."

And they were very kind and very patient.

-And how often do you play now?

-Five times a week sometimes.

-Wow, really?

-Yeah.

-And is it right you did an abseil recently as well?

I don't like abseiling, but I did do one. I'm terrified!

How did you find out about that?

-I was there watching.

-LAUGHTER

We do our research thoroughly.

We follow people around for at least a year to make sure they're

the right kind of people we want on the show.

Sally, it's now you versus the Usual Suspects.

You were team-mates, they're now your enemies.

Their job is to stop you winning the prize fund.

Your failure means the money rolls over to the next game,

where one of them could be playing for a bigger total.

Every game on Perfection is worth £1,000. Here's the great news.

Nobody won the last game,

so the prize fund currently stands at £2,000.

APPLAUSE

-What will you be spending the £2,000 on?

-It will go towards my children.

I have a grandson who is six months old.

My daughter is also expecting a baby as well now,

so I'll have two grandchildren. So it will go towards them.

and then the Final. Every round you achieve Perfection

will make the Final easier for you.

But if your performance is less than perfect,

the Usual Suspects will have a chance to step in

and steal the round, making the Final harder for you.
