we'll be very grateful.

In fact, we're depending on it.

Lots of festive frolics on the dance floor tonight.

The phone lines are taking their Christmas holidays, so they won't be open tonight.

Instead, our studio audience will vote for their favourite.

Their votes will be combined with the judges' scores

to decide who will be our Strictly Christmas Champions 2012.

JB loves a party and after the show tonight,

he's having one for all the celebrities.

JB Gill is adored by millions

as a quarter of one of Britain's biggest boy bands.

Being in JLS is incredible. We've been very, very lucky.

We've won two BRIT Awards, five MOBOs, five number one singles.

It's been a dream come true.

Dancing with the Strictly Christmas Special

has been very different for me.

Obviously I do dance with JLS, but it's a different style of dancing.

The boys have been a little bit supportive.

I think they're a little bit jealous. I've got a lovely lady to dance with.

There's definitely worse things I can be doing on Christmas Day

than dancing with Ola.

I think I'm the envy of a lot of young girls in this country.

Good.

-Yeah, maybe.

-My job is so hard.

The jive is ridiculously fast. You didn't tell me

-it was going to be that fast.

-Well, it's jive, it's fast!

I struggled to keep up with Ola at the beginning.

He was trying to put some JLS moves in the routine, but...

I was like...

He was going to fly in like a little elf,

and land on the dance floor, but he was stopped from doing it.

That's my...that's my favourite joke of the evening!

with a catchphrase to rival Brucie.

The '80s were mine and Tommy's time with The Cannon and Ball Show.

It was a prime-time show.

I'm happy to say the Ball keeps merrily rolling along.

I love the titsy, bitsy, nutty flavours you put in.

Very fruity and very funny. And very entertaining.

It could have been smoother at times, but it made be laugh.

A lovely comedy routine. Craig.

It was like a Christmas pudding, darling.

All stodgy.

It needed a lot more movement around the floor, you moved nowhere.

The timing got out after your big brace moment.

You enjoyed that far too much!

It lacked any swing or sway, I suppose it was slightly amusing.

79-year-old actress Sheila Hancock has been lighting up

our screens for almost six decades.

I've done lots of different roles.

The germs are so small you can't tell the difference.

I usually play tizzy blondes, I never was a tizzy blonde.

I've always been quite a serious person.

You'd better come in.

One of the highlights was EastEnders, I love EastEnders.

My life has been one long party.

I've done a bit of film.

I've done a lot of theatre. As I've grown older, I really value comedy.

Here he is.

I like variety. I like new things, I like adventures.

It's certainly a new role being a ballroom dancer.

I've never done it before in my life.

And I'm all up for a new challenge.

Sheila is remarkable for her age.

-Good.

-What?!

You can twirl as much as you like, mate.

She has the ability to do anything you ask her to do...

-..within reason.

-What do I...

It's difficult to find people, when you're as old as me,

that can teach you a lot!

I'm beginning to enjoy this. I didn't know anything, did I?

"What is a foxtrot?" I said.

Put your hand over there. It's a foxtrot American Smooth.

Remember this goes up. There might be a little lift at the end.

-It's not really right in this dance.

-Well, it's Christmas.

You can do anything at Christmas.

I'm too old to worry about a row of judges judging me

because I've done a lift when I shouldn't.

Christmas shows, they're going to be kind, aren't they?!

I figure it's Christmas.

-We can get away with most things.

and you waited and Ian flatulated around you,

got hold, and back into the dance.

He moved around beautifully. That's what you get at Christmas!

Impeccable acting skills, we've always known

I've always wanted to be able to do something like that.

It's been quite tricky for Ian.

One week and you've pulled that out of the bag. Tremendous.

We were trying to bring the elegance back to Strictly.

Well, I think safe to say you managed that.

I know your daughter and your granddaughter are in the audience tonight.

You've done them very proud.

And how was it, Ian, dancing with Sheila,

the grand dame of theatre in your arms?

It's been a wonderful experience and she's taught me quite a lot of acting skills as well.

-I'm working on it.

Doesn't take much to make you happy! I'm glad they're my side.

As a former premiership football star,

Fabrice Muamba is no stranger to fancy footwork.

The feeling you get from the game is unexplainable.

The bug you get from the game of football,

you can't get it anywhere else.

But on the 17th of March this year

his life changed for ever.

Fabrice Muamba suffered a cardiac arrest.

I will remember that day for ever.

My heart stopped beating for seven to eight minutes.

I've been given a second chance to live life.

If you had told me nine months ago I would be doing Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special,

I would go, "Yeah, good one!"

But now I'm here, able to enjoy the experience,

able to enjoy the opportunity and to do my best.

Fabrice really suits salsa. He has really good natural rhythm.

He moves his hips really well.

I think we're going to spice up the Christmas for people this year.

Yeah, I think they will be surprised to see

what we're bringing to the table.

-I'm on fire.

-I choreographed a bit of body shaking into the routine.

Oh, you mean that one? Bang, bang, bang.

The next day I came back and I think we should take it out.

-Hold it. Now we're going to change it.

-What?

He is like, "No, I think we should keep it."

I think we should. It's a good part of entertainment.

Katy is a little delight. She dances the steps I ask her to do.

I've been given the best Christmas present ever this year.

I thought it had a lovely amount of flow, that part was beautiful.

It was a little bit skippy on occasion.

You need to also extend your top line a little bit more,

but as it's a one-off, darling, I suppose that has to be forgiven.

I've been trying to extend my top for years!

and it's not easy, because it's constant turning,

Now, as we all know, Helen is from Blue Peter,

and in true Blue Peter style, here's a dance she prepared earlier.

is much more than just a pretty face.

It's fair to say that I like a challenge.

She's also a multiple world record-holder.

When somebody said, "Oh, why don't you go and row a bit of the Amazon?"

I said, "Why do a bit of it? Let's do it all."

And here's some she made earlier.

I went to the South Pole on a bike and using kite skis,

that was over 500 miles.

I walked on a high wire that was 150 metres in the air.

-It all sounds bonkers.

-You're letting yourself in for a shock.

I don't think things through, I sign up to things,

and just plod on, go for it. I don't have to be good at it,

but with Strictly, I have to be good at something, so I am nervous.

And also, this isn't just about me,

if I get it wrong, I'll let Artem down.

I think Helen's the perfect personality for a jive.

It's really fast, it's very happy.

I thought jive was a bit hyperactive.

It is, and you are hyperactive, it's like a constant movement.

Keep moving, no-one knows what you're doing. I've had fun.

It was good until then though, wasn't it?

You look like you've been a little bit upset at times.

I think you pretend that

you're mean and like Scrooge, but you're not.

Three and four, don't run away from me. I am quite a strict teacher.

Let's do this right, yeah? And then to the left, out.

People warned me that I would cry. I've cried with laughter.

I would have liked a little bit more action, maybe a bit more,

but generally, it suited you perfectly. It really did.

I really did. It was right there.

because I thought it was great. Well done.
