Week 8 Strictly Come Dancing

Right you lot, listen up. Each of you have worked your socks off to

get this far. You don't want to throw it away. What happens here

will stay with us for the rest of your lives. So let's get out,

fulfil those dreams, put on your dancing shoes and show Wembley you

to miss the bus. This week is huge. The Wembley

butterflies have well and truly kicked in. The competition is

fierce. The stars need to give it 110%.

This arena has played host to so many superstars, but who will join

the Wembley hall of fame and who will leave this competition?

Whatever happens we have got a sell out crowd here and they are baying

for ballroom, who are we to argue, Brucie? Shall we? We certainly

Our first couple is Robbie Savage and his partner, Ola.

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Now they are doing the salsa. It is

a dance that requires the three Ss, that normally means sexually, saucy

and sassy, but in Robbie's case it means styling, shampoo and set.

LAUGHTER I like that.

Last week proved to be my best dance.

You are constantly moving in the right direction.

I thought the whole routine was good.

My aim is to get a seven or an eight or a nine.

We did it! Our best score. I'm dancing the salsa at Wembley,

life doesn't get much better than that. It is a tough dance with

tricks and lifts, but if I can pull it off I think the crowd will love

it. I can't believe we're playing at Wembley this weekend. We're so

excited. Robbie, you know what... Don't

worry, I feel at home out there. Me and Wembley have history!

What a start! What a great routine. Look at you, look at you! Come here,

you marvellous pair. Enjoy it. These are moments she will never

Absolutely marvellous. Whilst you two take a breather, it's a good

time to welcome our fabulous singers, Dave Arch and his

wonderful orchestra. APPLAUSE Not forgetting our judges,

welcome. Len is very worried this week about the Italian debt crisis.

What happened was he lent Bruno a couple of pounds for a cappuccino

and he hasn't got it back yet. It may seem a bit futile. Len, what do

you think? I know what is at Wembley, but you treat this like

the FA Cup final. I don't know what happened, you tried to straddle a

goal post or something. It was wild and savage. Unfortunately. Against

that, it was great entertainment and a wonderful start to the

evening. APPLAUSE It was great entertainment.

You could bring variety back. Robbie, your opened the show like

it was your own rock concert. Full of gusto and energy. I love the

left's, crazy as they were. It did not have the salsa feel, but aside

from that, it was great entertainment.

APPLAUSE Bruno? Robi... The salsa is the dance of courtship. You went

at it as if it was a primeval fertility rite. You were throwing

Ola into unimaginable positions. Len is right. Because of that, it

lost the slinky knits in the timing. It has to be more refined, but I

appreciate the effort. Craig? flat fitted throughout. -- flat-

footed. Your hips were devoid of any rotation whatsoever. I liked

your upper body, and the arm work. You liked that? And also that

wonderful left. Don't ever attend a jump in second like that without

straightening your legs and getting some height, darling. Never mind

all that, we loved it! Off you go, be proud. Wonderful.

APPLAUSE Well done, you. Kicking it off at Wembley, to a

standing ovation. Have you cut your nose? Not again! You have done the

double. You have played football in the stadium and dance appear Reina.

How did it feel? That was for the public and the supporters. They

have been brilliant. And how does the ballroom compare to the boss of

a football match? Tonight it was perfect, 6500 people. And the cat

I've always wanted to do that at Wembley. Besides that, I didn't

have a joke. Here is Alex and James Last Saturday, the pressure was to

start the show off on a high. I think it worked. It was so full of

verve and gusto, I thought it was terrific! It was an incredible

opening. It was a joy. The tango is everything that Alex is not. I need

to see that you're more assertive and strong, more powerful. Stop

Come on! But you do need to. Your foot on the drag. It was sharp, it

was to cattle, it was theatrical and intense. All of those wonderful

things. -- staccato. Len, staggered? I don't trust Craig when

he is nice because the next one out is going to turn nasty. People

think I am hard to please but I'm not. This is what I like. The tango,

dance to beautifully. Fabulous. don't ask for much, just

pull that off, it has been amazing. Seven weeks in, dancing in front of

That is a lot of responsibility. I was a little nervous. It ended up

being one of the most fun nights. Considering you have changed

partners, you have done exceptionally well. It feels

strange to see her dance with Brendan. He did an amazing job.

training. Brendan and Artem were giving each other a lot of

What about it? Holly and Artem and that was

wonderful. It was more like the Olympics, isn't it, around here.

Bruno. Holly, Holly, at times you are

thrilling and at times you're maddening. I know you're capable,

but there are moments that are splendid and then it looks like

that either you overthink or you go behind it. Stop it. I want you you

to go for it, my darling, because you can.

Is he getting through? Thank you. Right, Craig.

Fantastic single pirouette on the stairs, really tough to do

especially in heels. It went a little bit horribly wrong after

that moment. You lost timing after that and your weight is travelling

too far forward for Artem as he is going around. You need to keep

together and keep your centre and tighten the whole thing up really.

But it was a good job and a fantastic routine.

OK. There was a terrific use of space. You started up on the stage

and down and around the thing. That I thought was great and it is great

for the quickstep, but because it was so fast and so intense, it did

lose a little bit of control now and again, but it was fast and full

on and well done to you both. APPLAUSE

This morning you didn't know who you would be dancing with and that

must have been unsettling and the quickstep really suits you. You had

a really light and effortless feel, but the guys are right you did lose

a little bit of control, but overall I liked it.

Anita, can you see him? I hope you were' watching -- you're watching.

I think it was one of our strongest performances.

Queen of drama, you can tango. And then we went from up there to

down there. We found out wherp in the last two

-- we were in the last two I was completely shocked and devastated.

I was thinking, "Does that mean I'm out?" I don't have any words.

I'm still here and I get to go to Wembley so I'm absolutely thrilled.

In order for Anita to bounce back this week, I think she needs to

pull a little bit of inspiration from something or someone.

I'm here in good old Albert Square. How does it feel to be back here?

Weird, but I loved Angie. You don't make me anything, Denis.

You could knock her down and the next day she would be up ready to

rock. If I can get a feeling of that survival instinct. What do you

have to do to get a drink around here? Outrageous, that would never

have happened in my day. Anita is already a survivor. This

would help give her that extra nudge to give an extra good

Do you do the washing up in those gloves? Craig, start us off.

Your shoulders were hunched almost all the way through that. You were

leaning too far forward from the top of your torso, it was very very

muddy and murky footwork. Your thumb that was sticking out like

this, it would be nice to tuck that baby under. We're getting very

specific now, I mean, you know the semi-finals are coming up so I'm

just trying to help you, darling. On a good note, the timing was very,

very good and you have gorgeous movement.

Well, what I like, you come out every dance and you give it 100%.

APPLAUSE It could have been a little sharper

and crisper here and there, it it could have been a little sharper

and crisp, but I thought your thumbs were particularly attractive.

Especially in those gloves. Alesha. Bundles of energy and full of

personality, you created a party atmosphere, Anita, nobody can take

that away from you. I don't think you you embodied that samba grove

and I disagree with Craig, you lost timing, but your spirit and

enthusiasm always carries you throw the dance and the crowd loves you.

APPLAUSE They do. They do. Anita, I love you

because you always really work it and play it for all it's worth.

What happened was there was so much fire up above you forgot the fire

down below. The samba required such a sharp and precise execution and

at the same time you have to create the party atmosphere so to get the

two together is very, very hard and you did well, but you know

sometimes we all have dances that don't quite come out as we expect.

It is a bit like that. Would you like to be my favourite? Yes,

please. You are my favourite as usual. Well

Ask a silly! Like a lot of savages, I liked the Argentine tango, it was

a great dance. The judges had great comments. You will never be

stronger. You will be never be more attractive. It was filth and I

liked it. It was my first time at the top of

the leaderboard. That felt amazing.

Yeah, it was awesome. Oh, we have the big one.

We yes, the salsa. And it is tough.

Real tough. Men and the salsa can't really be

friends. I'm struggling with the hips.

It is all about the hips. You have to have the hips.

step, it is too big, and so you cannot get your bum over your back

leg because the step is too big. It should have been more compact. But

I loved it. Well done. Thank goodness. Alesha? I thought you

handle that with these. There was a natural feel to the dancing. --

overdressed for the occasion! I think you should have worn my
