Episode 16 Strictly - It Takes Two

Hello, welcome to It Take Two, it's Monday, what a scarely good weekend

of Hallowe'en dancing it was. We loved it. Sadly our Ghostbusters

have bust their final moves on the dance floor. Sid and Ola will be

here. Fancy a sausage sandwich, Dani and Vincent will be popping by.

He put the fright into fright night, Craig will be talking over the

week's dancing. This is Strictly It Hello and welcome to It Take Two,

so the Hallowe'en theme certainly did not disappoint, as this weekend

delivered a whole load of Spence, shocks and thrills. In case you

missed any of it. Here are the Strictly headlines!

Good evening, here is the news, who would have thought it, Saturday saw

underdogs Michael and Victoria both putting game-changing performances

to see them joint second on the leaderboard.

That was more than magical, it was a miracle! I really thought the

routine was brilliant, it was excellent. You were the true Tango

woman of the night. The judges called 999, but this was no dance

floor emergency. Louis and flaf have a's great Tango had the first

nines of the night, Craig, of course, gave it an eight.

That really was a Tango with a bite. Inhe haveable, darling, I loved it!

Although Saturday's Strictly had been billed as a Hallowe'en special,

few viewers were prepared for the unspeakable horrors that awaited.

Yes, it happened, Brucie did it gangnam-style.. Tonight you will be

seeing many different styles of dance, except gangnamstyle! Stop it,

stop it, stop T Tele gold, I think you will agree.

Dani and Vincent's lovingly recreated homage to scoopy do was

wasted on Bruno. I just can't look at Vincent, I

thought I was watching Loose Women, it looks like Denise Welch. He's

supposed to be Shaggy. Those were the Strictly headlines, thank you.

Now, even more gossip from the weekend, here is all the action

from behind the scenes. It's Hallowe'en week, Strictly Come

Dancing, welcome. It's Halloween tonight, we have to get dressed up

all spooky! I'm excited for tonight, it will be a really good show.

Mwahhhhh. It is a busy day, lots to do. It is

amazing in here tonight, the way it is decorated and things being done,

it is a special show. How did that go, did it go all

right?! Sliding on the floor and doing a backspin, got an injury,

for the love of my art, my dancing. I have got a really bad knee, it is

already I have it all strapped up. If I have to carry her, I will. We

will just try to do this, then. have got a massive prop, actually.

We have got the monster, yes. really scary. We have a cage and a

whip, yes, I have got a good whip action, years of practice, say no

more! I'm excited about getting the top hat and tail, I hope it will

inspire me to dance. Getting strictfied. I'm under the weather.

We have lots of specialist looks. Corpse, bride, groom, zombie. It is

stylish zombie, that is the brief. This is Strictly. As you all know

it is Halloween, some of the guys have taken on odd personality

traits. # What's that coming over the hill

Hahahaha. It is freaking me out, just a little bit. Obviously I have

been sampling ideas for my wedding next year! You don't know unless

you try it! Practising my cape work, or as I like to call it Cape Fear,

on opening night. I'm exhausted. I'm off to the bar. Ladies and

gentlemen, five minutes until show time gang.

Come on people, five minutes, let's get it going. So excited. I haven't

Proper sulk faces all round at Balty Towers, we are all very

grumpy about you going out of the competition. How are you feeling d

it? I feel all right now. Looking back, no-one wants to leave, I was

gutted. But it was the right decision on the night. I didn't, I

sort of went to pot, really. I can make a million excuses, but I felt

Ola wasn't very happy, so I wasn't happy. Everyone smashed it on the

night, everyone was really good. Everyone was so good, the whole

thing went up, everyone was improving, and we didn't improve

that week. I think that was just a bad week for us. A really bad week.

It was a really terrible week, you had to go back to Poland, you

didn't get the chance to practice. We weren't dancing together all

week, I came in on Friday and did two hours. It was just not there.

It is really sad, I'm getting quite cross. Were you nervous going into

the dance-off, did you think that's it, I'm a cooked goose? I was a

little bit, and then I thought, it can't go worse than the Saturday

night show. So I have to try to make the most of it. Enjoy it.

one, you wowed everybody, and you got 26, what has happened since

then, on your Strictly Skupts journey. We had a bad couple of

weeks and it affected it. How have the others reacted to you going?

Everyone seems really sad, it seems strange. I was like get a grip,

they were crying. I'm happy to have taken part in it, it has been such

a great experience. It is too short, because we had a great partnership,

we had really, really good partnership. We just like dancing

together. It is a shame. It is a real shame. It just feels it is a

bit too soon. Let's have a look at your best bits. You will be sharing

the Strictly drama with Ola Jordan. When I got Ola, I thought, wow,

this is a dream come true. Everyone like as little bit of Ola.

Strict low Ola! This was very, very good. I'm going to love watching

you every work, you have something very, very special. Don't cry.

sorry. Sid is finding the salsa a bit harder. I'm 40 years old, she

thinks I'm about 20. Really tough, just wipe the sweat off my head,

just pray it all comes off on the night. It was happen -- haphazard

on the night. I'm trying to get to grips with the counting. What is

after four? Five. 1, 2, 3 and 56789 Not 3 and 56789

It wasn't too bad, but not sharp enough. Too smooth. You did a great

job, everything right that I asked for, you are brilliant.

This week I'm dancing with Yvetta, she's lovely, makes a change not to

have someone shouting at me. I miss Ola, can't wait to see her back and

dancing. Fabulous to see more dance content, you have moves there.

character, so much fun to be around him, it won't be the same. He has

been a great mate, I will miss him terribly.

Artemtearing up for you. What has been the best thing about Strictly?

Everything. Dancing with me, you're supposed to say. Of course. Just

lurpbg to -- learning to dance. I would never get the opportunity

otherwise. I'm really grateful for that. Who would you like to see go

on and win? I would like. Go on, give me a name, you can. Do it?

Either Denise and James, or Louis. I think he has really taken it

serious, and he's quite passionate about it. He's not a performer, so

I think he's in with a great chance. We are really going to miss you.

Sid and Ola. Soon Craig will be here, a brand

Flavia move, can you identify our dancers from their feet. Whose feet

Well, I know whose feet they weren't. He wouldn't be seen dead

in a pair of shoes like that, it is Craig Revel Horwood.

A little move, oh. Ta-daa. What an incredible whistle you are wearing

there, I love that. Thank you darling. It is nice to see someone

has made an effort today. What an amazing reversal of fortune on the

show for Saturday, did you enjoy the surprises? I did, indeed. I

love all the dressing-up any way. It gives them a focus, it gives

them a good reason to dance. And it relieves them of any untoward sort

of thoughts about their foot work. Which I think is good. Are you sad

to see Sid and Ola go? Yeah, because he was a really fantastic

person to have in the show. You know, he had had some fantastic

dances at the beginning. And unfortunately, he got all the Latin

stuff towards the end of it. It really is, you can throw the dice,

and land a Latin dance, and if you are not particularly good at it, it

is the week you might be weaker, then you will go out. And then

everybody else is good, I suppose. You voted to save Colin and

Kristina, why did they deserve to stay over Sid? The reason I vote

for them, is because, for me, I think there was a lot more natural

rhythm, and particularly leaving someone by themselves is always

difficult. And it proved that Colin, actually does dance, quite, well,

and I think, out of both of them, to have him go through, I thought,

is the best thing to do. Let's talk about his salsa, you were quite

critical of his foot work, what is he getting wrong? In his salsa,

he's very flat-footed, it gets very stompy, it is all very flat and

even. That stops, all that wonderful hip action happening.

into the dance. He had really tried and trained, and Nat is a master.

She is totally on it, she didn't want to go through the

embarrassment of the week before. I think they won the day brilliantly.

And next week he's doing an American Smooth, can we expect

another great performance? Nat is perfect at that stuff, and will

have him whipped into action. Richard and Erin in the paso doble,

you were disappointed, and said he shouldn't have done the jette

entourment? It is that bit there. You need a delicious leg to get the

height to it, and then you should finish in a beautiful long lunge,

it was all Squidgy and short, and mean and small, it should be hugely

expressive. It should be matadorish, he needed more flight. Louis and

flaf have a and the Tango, another great moment be -- Flavia, another

great moment? It was great, he had the knees all the way through, his

thumb bothered me, on the back, the big thumb up. How many times, over

the past nine years, darling, have I been saying? 9,000 times you have

said it? Thumb down. He could have bandaged that, and nobody would

have seen it. Would it have been a nine for you with the thumb down?

on Saturday night it was Scooby Snacks all round, as Dani and

Vincent delivered another great performance. Here is a reminder of

their Cha Cha Cha. If that dance was some food, it

would be a sausage sandwich. Tasty, satisfying, and set you up for the

day ahead. It was really spirited fun, nice

and tight foot work, very well placed. You must extend through

your lines, and you have to accentuate those finshes, otherwise

it just don't look right. If you can do something that fast and

achieve that many moves, that was amazing.

I'm over the moon, I'm well chuffed. Vincent has been telling me all the

time to extend my arms, and I didn't do it enough. It was too

fast. Yes! Please welcome the meddling kids themselves, Dani and

Vincent. Those glasses, familiar? thought I would wear them in honour

of Sid Owen, I know he likes his false glasses. Were you sad to see

him leave? I was so upset, it is getting hard for to see people

leave. I like your glasses, sexy today? Wicked opening to the

Halloween show, was it nerve racking to go on first, or great to

get out there and do it? It was really nerve racking, I was pleased,

I thought we will get it over and done with quickly, there is so much

pressure going first. I'm glad I have done it now. You still get

nervous Vincent? He's worse than me. It is not fair on little people!

It's not fair. Did you enjoy your Scooby theme, it was so good?

I absolutely loved it T at first I was a bit, oh, and then to see

Vincent in the wig. I'm going to grow it out now. And turn it blonde.

I think your wig was trending at one point. I think your wig should

have its own show! Obviously Bruno said you looked like Denise Welch,

from Loose Women? I agree. It was more Boris Johnson? I like that,

he's a guy, no. We were confused, you had Shaggy's clothes on but

Fred as hair? It was unusual. couldn't decide which one to be, so

he changed it up. Can you recreate the moment, one each, just because

we love it so much? We love it too. There you go.

Bring it on. Take it off, you are putting me off. Len called you a

little "sausage sandwich". I have never been called that before, I

didn't know where he was going with that. It was a nice compliment.

looking at yourself. I can't help it. Some women don't even think I

exist, they think I'm a fantasy. You are so beautiful, I can't help

it. I so love myself. I just can't resist. I know, you're not the

first one, you won't be the last one. Just a bit dizzy. Of course,

you're dancing with me! It's a masterpiece. He just sat there and

said, how long is this going on. You are staying with the Latin, you

are doing the jive this week. How is it going? It is going well,

seeing as it is only Monday. It seems OK. It could be one of her

best dances. Do you think this could be the week to break into the

30s? We have to, I want to be at the stop of the leaderboard for

once in my life. Last week you said you were making the choreography

tougher for Dani because she can cope with it, is that continuing?

The jive is very fast on its own, I'm putting sots of sin co-passions

and spins. -- syncopations and spins. It didn't go well today.

come in each week and pick up a new dance? Not really, every week is a

completely different style of dancing. You have gone from the

Denise and James on Saturday night did the Cha Cha Cha, you said

Denise's leg to hip action was a bit jolty and wooden? Only because

she's not getting all the hip action that I know she can do. It

is a real shame, she's get -- getting the straight leg but it is

notes going to the knee to the hip. It is the hip that reacts to the

foot the knee and that's it. could be a song? It might be, one

for Christmas. She still good or up there? Brilliant, I love her, she's

fantastic. A great study. Which means she gets in there, works hard

and wants to learn. Lisa and Robin in their Charleston, for the first

time you weren't hugely impressed, you gave her a six. You said she

danced poorly and not enough Charlesen to, what was missing?

Missing in my eyes, she was doing step touches rather than the cross

and swivel. The cross and swivel in the Charles ten gives it its

character. She's capable of doing it. It is a concentration thing.

She concentrates on the arms too much and negates the foot work. It

really should do a complete cross like that. Do it at full speed? You

see that's what we need. You need to get it going. Kimberly and Pasha,

you scored seven, you had nothing but praise for this fiery and

fantastic. What was so good? attitude throughout the whole thing.

The fact that she's placed and creating those wonderful intent

lines, she was doing it with conviction. And a beautiful rende

which I thought was gorgeous. Victoria and Brendan and their

Tango, another surprise. Good to see her doing brilliantly. You used

the b-word, brilliant? She is doing really well now. I think it is to

do with confidence. Once you have a little bit of confidence, that goes

an awful long which with dance. Particularly when you are --

awfully long way with dancing, particularly in front of millions.

She has a problem with the hand on the back, the tum tucks under, so

you don't see it -- thumb tucks under so you don't see it, the hand

should be shaped and flat to the floor. She was getting ballroomish,

not Tango. Fern and Artem, you only gave them a four in the Tango?

be honest I thought it was dull. It didn't go anywhere, it didn't do

anything. There wasn't of any impact moments, nothing really

happened. I was bored. Do you think there was a confusion, she was

trying to play the killer Queen, but it was an American Smooth?

it. Where are you this year in panto? The Swan in High Wycombe, it

is almost sold out, hurry up. and Vincent, you loved her spans

and fast foot work? She is a clean technician, that is what I love

about her. When she puts the arm up, not just place it, hyperextend it.

Go over the top with the line. She pops the arm up, that is not enough,

you have to go literally forward with it, and extend it fully. She

isn't gift with the length of bone that you and I have darling. Look

at the length of that bone. But, because of that, she needs to

really hyperextend, and really go for it. But I mean, fantastic

characterisation, I thought they looked great together. I think

Vincent really should go blonde, shouldn't he. Did you like the

Denise Welch? I want a poster on my wall in my bedroom. Going into this

weekend. What do our couples, what do you really need for them at this

point in the competition? At this point there are no trick, no

cobwebs, no gimmick, you have to do the technique, and that's exactly

what we are looking for next week. Technique, brilliant, brilliant

technique and acting and gorgeous flow around the floor. Who is

shining up there at the top? Denise is still shining for me. She still

has problems. They all come with problems, let's face it. I think

she will really win the day. She has the right mentality for it.
