Hello, welcome to It Takes Two. For your entertainment tonight, we have

:00:07.:00:13.

the very latest training updates, plus they gave us 1 million

:00:14.:00:17.

different faces now -- this weekend. Suzanne and Kevin are here. Yippee!

:00:18.:00:25.

If you have decided you can decide on your winner, let my extra special

:00:26.:00:30.

Thursday panellists give you a hand. We have Natalie's friend and Corrie

:00:31.:00:35.

star Alan Halsall. Susanna it is near Riise -- newsreader Sophie

:00:36.:00:38.

Raworth. Back in the glitter done again for Sophie. It is Kimberley

:00:39.:00:47.

Walsh. It is only Mr Abbey Clancy himself, Peter Crouch is here! And

:00:48.:00:52.

the crowd goes wild. This is Strictly It Takes Two.

:00:53.:01:37.

Live from London, this is Strictly It Takes Two. Please welcome your

:01:38.:01:43.

host, Zoe Ball. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

:01:44.:01:51.

Hello and welcome to the penultimate It Takes Two of the series. I know,

:01:52.:01:55.

what am I going to do with my time pressure drive my husband mantle. In

:01:56.:02:00.

the next 47 hours and 58 minutes and 35 seconds we will be one step

:02:01.:02:04.

closer to finding out who will lift that coveted Glitterball Trophy. Who

:02:05.:02:09.

is it going to be? It could be anyone. In a moment I will be joined

:02:10.:02:13.

by the costume designer Vicky Gill, but first, let's look at how that --

:02:14.:02:17.

how Abbey and Natalie are getting on in there last week of training. The

:02:18.:02:23.

first dance has been picked by the judges and it is the waltz. It is

:02:24.:02:29.

such a slow dance. It is so exposed. Anything can go wrong. There were

:02:30.:02:32.

loads of mistakes throughout the dance but the one that sticks out

:02:33.:02:38.

the most is when I had to do a kick. Abbey has improved so much. She has

:02:39.:02:41.

better posture and a better frame, her footwork is better. She is --

:02:42.:02:48.

she understands the ballroom dancing way better than she did in the first

:02:49.:02:53.

week. The judges will be harsher. They will pick up on every single

:02:54.:02:56.

detail. I don't think anything will go wrong but we can only hope and

:02:57.:03:01.

rehearse for the best. Do I feel like I am better at it now? There is

:03:02.:03:05.

dad definitely added pressure because there are three dances and

:03:06.:03:09.

the showdowns has to be a show stopper. The showdowns is definitely

:03:10.:03:17.

going to be the most difficult and challenging dance for Abbey so far.

:03:18.:03:23.

-- show dance. Handbag, handbag. It is going to be a mixture of paso

:03:24.:03:28.

doble and tango. We are definitely feeling the pressure to make ours as

:03:29.:03:34.

good as we can. Hopefully we will have a cry. There is loads of lifts

:03:35.:03:39.

and hard steps. I hope I didn't push her to far in terms of choreography.

:03:40.:03:47.

We will see. I am broken! My favourite dance of the series would

:03:48.:03:52.

have to be our quickstep. It was definitely the hardest routine she

:03:53.:03:57.

has done. Step hop on a posture. I forgot how hard this dance was. We

:03:58.:04:04.

were dancing Blackpool, which was an incredible experience. It needs to

:04:05.:04:08.

be even sharper, more defined and even stronger. It needs to be so

:04:09.:04:14.

concise and extended. Keep your posture up, smile all the way

:04:15.:04:20.

through. We need to just get it more precise, the hold and the posture

:04:21.:04:28.

better. We should be fine. Our first dance has been chosen by the judges

:04:29.:04:34.

and is the cha-cha-cha. The last time we did this dance we got a

:04:35.:04:39.

score of 31. A great first week score but obviously that allows for

:04:40.:04:42.

the potential 9-point improvement. My hip action, my footwork was

:04:43.:04:47.

picked up on last time. This time she needs to go out there and just

:04:48.:04:55.

smash it, really. Beyond that leg. With this cha-cha-cha it needs to be

:04:56.:05:03.

epic. Our show dance, there will be thrills and hopefully not too many

:05:04.:05:08.

spills. We are chucking everything in there. There is going to be a

:05:09.:05:14.

quickstep, a bit of tap and a bit of jive to finish it off. The show

:05:15.:05:22.

dance has a real high expectation to it. There will be a few props, a lot

:05:23.:05:27.

of things can go wrong. You have to attack it with gusto or it can look

:05:28.:05:31.

really weak. It is the climax of the series. The American smooth for my

:05:32.:05:36.

favourite dances somewhat of a controversial choice because Len was

:05:37.:05:42.

not a massive fan. It didn't feel like American smooth to me. It

:05:43.:05:47.

wasn't so much about how Natalie danced the dance, it was more about

:05:48.:05:52.

Len did not like my routine. I loved the swirling. When we did it last

:05:53.:05:57.

time it felt like I was doing a scene in the film. The way it moved,

:05:58.:06:03.

the way it made me feel. It was very emotional the first time so doing

:06:04.:06:07.

that last dance in the series it will be probably more emotional than

:06:08.:06:13.

the first time. It is the final week, so my next guest is throwing

:06:14.:06:18.

in as many ruffles, crystals and godets on the costumes while she

:06:19.:06:23.

still can. Please welcome the costume designer extraordinaire,

:06:24.:06:24.

Vicky Gill. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

:06:25.:06:30.

You are one popular lady. So many people write letters and send you

:06:31.:06:37.

designs, quite a few. It has been quite sweet really. A popular lady.

:06:38.:06:41.

It is nearly the final. Have you booked your cruise? I would like to

:06:42.:06:45.

go on a cruise but I am not. The sofa is good enough. How has this

:06:46.:06:51.

series compared to previous years? We have had more group dances and

:06:52.:06:54.

extra numbers so it has been more work. It has been really enjoyable

:06:55.:06:58.

so it is not a problem with more work. Everyone on the team is

:06:59.:07:03.

exhausted. We have had loads of fun but we are looking forward to the

:07:04.:07:08.

weekend and Santa. Everybody gets to do their showdowns which we are so

:07:09.:07:11.

excited about and they get to wear a costume which they have never won

:07:12.:07:15.

before -- show dance. Are there any rules with costumes? It is quite

:07:16.:07:20.

hard, we have a short space of time to do it and they are all nervous.

:07:21.:07:26.

Often they don't want to give me an inkling about what they are going to

:07:27.:07:29.

do in case it jinxes their progress into the final. It all happened on

:07:30.:07:33.

Monday morning, had texts and e-mails and phone calls about what

:07:34.:07:36.

they are doing. We are trying to make their wishes come true in terms

:07:37.:07:41.

of the performance in how they work it and hopefully we are putting a

:07:42.:07:44.

stamp on something we have not yet seen before on Strictly. Otherwise

:07:45.:07:49.

we would be looking at the same. It is top secret, you are not allowed

:07:50.:07:54.

to tell me. We are going to go to the dresses. It is like Swan Lake.

:07:55.:07:59.

There have been some incredible outfits. We will look at some of

:08:00.:08:04.

your favourites. Abbey first of all, this was her tango dress in

:08:05.:08:08.

weak four. Why did you love this so much? She looks glorious --

:08:09.:08:14.

glorious. She is a beautiful girl and looks great in the frocks and I

:08:15.:08:19.

was watching at home. From lighting to the performance she was really

:08:20.:08:22.

strong, the colour looked strong and I enjoyed the simple lines. The

:08:23.:08:27.

colour was doing the work but her performance drove it forward and it

:08:28.:08:32.

was successful all round. Her legs came through, the splits. It is a

:08:33.:08:38.

bit torn because it has lived another life already. Did she go out

:08:39.:08:43.

on the town after the show? Lots of people ask me what happens to the

:08:44.:08:47.

dresses afterwards. Do they get to keep them, do they get sold? They

:08:48.:08:52.

don't get to keep them. Once they have done it they think, that is

:08:53.:08:55.

enough. They go on to live another life. At the moment UK Strictly as

:08:56.:09:01.

the first place you see the frocks but they will go to France and the

:09:02.:09:06.

Lebanon. Into the New Year. They get used again. They cost quite a lot to

:09:07.:09:10.

buy. Susanna has never won the stress on the show. Talk me through.

:09:11.:09:15.

The reason I brought this along, we made early in the run and it is a

:09:16.:09:20.

copy of her silver which you see in the titles every week and this set

:09:21.:09:24.

the mood for Susanna's look throughout the show. I enjoyed

:09:25.:09:29.

making dresses for her. She is often not sure but 20 minutes into the

:09:30.:09:35.

fitting, she is with me. Her signature design... The one

:09:36.:09:39.

shouldered net flying, singed in waste of, -- the nipped in waste.

:09:40.:09:50.

The colours are vibrant. We opted for the silver. Let's look at

:09:51.:09:56.

Natalie's waltz dress from week two. Again, they are so individual, the

:09:57.:10:01.

ladies, such different styles. The reason I chose this dresses because

:10:02.:10:06.

people think, why that one? All the dresses have been more elaborate,

:10:07.:10:09.

but this line and Silhouette worked really well for Natalie. Really

:10:10.:10:16.

simple shape, simple neckline, halter straps. It worked

:10:17.:10:20.

beautifully. That is where it comes into play, when we watch it live,

:10:21.:10:24.

and you see the whole performance. Does it work for the performance?

:10:25.:10:31.

Finally, Sophie's dress. This is the epitome of Strictly Come Dancing.

:10:32.:10:36.

This was from her foxtrot in week four. What can you tell us about the

:10:37.:10:40.

stress? There are lots of crystals on it and from Sophie's perspective

:10:41.:10:48.

had skin tone, her body shape, she is so delicate and beautiful, long

:10:49.:10:53.

lines over the hip. I thought it was really pleasant to watch. Elegant.

:10:54.:10:57.

Pleasant, the understatement of the year. The feathers at the bottom,

:10:58.:11:02.

she pivoted around. The kick at the bottom is quite low for a ballroom

:11:03.:11:08.

dress but it works really well. It was a little surprised, a little

:11:09.:11:14.

flash of pink. If anyone wanted to buy this dress, how much would it

:11:15.:11:18.

cost? Really expensive, around ?3000. A nice little stocking

:11:19.:11:24.

filler! Can I just say on behalf of everyone watching and the crew on

:11:25.:11:27.

the show, you have done sterling work. I know there are millions of

:11:28.:11:34.

you, well done and Merry Christmas. Thank you.

:11:35.:11:38.

APPLAUSE So excited to see what they are

:11:39.:11:42.

wearing at the weekend. Let's find out how Sophie is getting on. My

:11:43.:11:50.

first dance in the final as the judges' choice, the Viennese waltz.

:11:51.:11:55.

It has got to look effortless and beautiful. Lovely. I am pretty

:11:56.:11:59.

excited about the judges' choice. It is a real chance to step up and

:12:00.:12:02.

bring those tiny little finishing touches. Chinn, where is it? One

:12:03.:12:08.

clear message from the judges, I needed to sort out my neck

:12:09.:12:13.

particularly in the pivots. That is what I am going to sort out. That

:12:14.:12:19.

way. There are not many options with the footwork, so there is quite a

:12:20.:12:23.

lot of repetition. It is hard to always remember exactly where you

:12:24.:12:26.

are. Hopefully at this point I am so at ballroom, I can just follow

:12:27.:12:30.

Brendan. That is what I should be able to do by now. The show dance, I

:12:31.:12:35.

made it to the final and now, look at me dance. You are allowed to do

:12:36.:12:40.

whatever you like. There are no rules. You can do as many lifts and

:12:41.:12:45.

twirls and whatever you feel like. I want it to be a celebration, a

:12:46.:12:48.

culmination of things that Sophie and I have done together. Brendan

:12:49.:12:54.

has invited me to bring ideas to the table in the choreography. Like

:12:55.:13:00.

stops, he put one of those in, so very kind but possibly risky. Our!

:13:01.:13:08.

What happened? When you dance the show dance, it might be your last

:13:09.:13:12.

dance so you have to go for it, really. Our favourite dance, a

:13:13.:13:18.

fantastic Charleston. I loved it. Are we took risks with the dancing

:13:19.:13:22.

and it paid off and felt really good. Sophie came alive, she

:13:23.:13:26.

outperformed me. I would love to see her do it again. There are elements

:13:27.:13:31.

of precision that I could improve on. I made a mistake in its early

:13:32.:13:36.

on. I think it is just bringing that same attitude really, maybe a little

:13:37.:13:41.

bit more confidence. The Charleston got four nine!. It would be cool to

:13:42.:13:50.

see some ten! In there. It will be so good. The last 12 weeks have been

:13:51.:13:55.

mainly about impressing the judges but on Saturday night it is you guys

:13:56.:13:59.

at home who have the ultimate say. Here to help you make the important

:14:00.:14:03.

decision of who deserves the Strictly title are some people who

:14:04.:14:08.

know our finalists very well indeed. Campaigning for Natalie, it is

:14:09.:14:10.

Corrie's and up. APPLAUSE

:14:11.:14:15.

Welcome. -- Alan Halsall. For Sophie, Kimberley Walsh.

:14:16.:14:21.

APPLAUSE For Susanna, newsreader Sophie

:14:22.:14:22.

Raworth. APPLAUSE

:14:23.:14:28.

And Abbey was my corner, her husband, Peter Crouch. Let's talk

:14:29.:14:38.

about Natalie. She has done brilliantly. Last week, she was in

:14:39.:14:43.

the bottom two, did it not occur confidence? I am sure it has. She

:14:44.:14:49.

loves the show, she is loving being part of the show and to be in the

:14:50.:14:54.

bottom two after getting 40 points on the first arms has not her

:14:55.:14:57.

confidence, but she will come back fighting. How much joy has Strictly

:14:58.:15:05.

brought into Sophie's live? I cannot believe how much she is loving

:15:06.:15:09.

this. She has taken to it like a duck to water and I have loved

:15:10.:15:14.

watching her grave. I can relate to her, where she is coming from. --

:15:15.:15:22.

watching her grow. Sophie, you did a Christmas special? It was children

:15:23.:15:31.

indeed. What has the secret beam to Susanna's success? -- Children In

:15:32.:15:38.

Need Appeal. People have really taken to that, how much she has

:15:39.:15:43.

loved it. I trained for the marathon with Susanna and she works hard. If

:15:44.:15:47.

she sets her sights on something, she will do it. She is a woman of

:15:48.:15:55.

steel. How far has Abbey come? Have you seen much of her these last few

:15:56.:16:05.

weeks? I saw her once two weeks ago! She has been tremendous. I did not

:16:06.:16:10.

realise how good she was. I have seen her throw some shapes, but

:16:11.:16:15.

never as accomplished as this. We can have a look at some of the

:16:16.:16:20.

dances. One they chose to perform again. Natalie and Artem have chosen

:16:21.:16:30.

the American smooth. Did this bring a tear to your eye? It did. It is an

:16:31.:16:37.

emotional dance. She is an amazing actress and it comes across in this

:16:38.:16:42.

dance. Although they did not get top marks, hopefully, this time they

:16:43.:16:49.

well. It is beautiful. Natalie is brilliant. The judges say sometimes

:16:50.:16:54.

she uses personality. Have we seen the real Natalie? It is funny for me

:16:55.:17:02.

to watch as a viewer, I know the real Natalie, and she is so much

:17:03.:17:07.

fun. Her personality is like her hair, big and bubbly. I do not think

:17:08.:17:16.

that has been shown. I hope people can vote for her. I sometimes

:17:17.:17:22.

think, do people distinguish her from Kirsty? Sophie and Brendan

:17:23.:17:32.

chose the Charleston. Did it make the judges' expectations too high?

:17:33.:17:39.

It is tough if you get a high score early on because the pressure is

:17:40.:17:43.

on. You feel if you do not get that score, you have failed. I thought

:17:44.:17:49.

this dance was incredible. She suited it so well. Lovely to watch.

:17:50.:17:56.

Susanna and Kevin have chosen the paso doble. They got 39 out of 40.

:17:57.:18:04.

The highest score to date at that point. How much confidence do you

:18:05.:18:11.

think this gave Susanna? It was the loudest cheer we have heard. The

:18:12.:18:18.

audience loved it. I think it was a massive turning point. It gives you

:18:19.:18:22.

confidence to do that well. Craig said she would never get a ten. Will

:18:23.:18:28.

he change his mind? I think she will do it. Abbey. Doing the quickstep

:18:29.:18:37.

with Aljaz. What did you love about watching her do this dance? I am

:18:38.:18:43.

proud every week, but Blackpool, it is a special place to go and watch.

:18:44.:18:49.

I thought she nailed it. It was perfect. The first 40 of the

:18:50.:18:57.

series. It was a special night. Has it made you emotional? Did you cry?

:18:58.:19:05.

The first was probably the most emotional. I did not see that

:19:06.:19:13.

coming. Before we go, we will give you ten seconds to tell people why

:19:14.:19:17.

they should vote for your friends, Y. For Natalie. Ten seconds. Please

:19:18.:19:25.

vote for Natalie, she is an amazing dancer, the judges have said it, she

:19:26.:19:30.

is gifted, her personality is amazing and she is a beautiful

:19:31.:19:37.

woman. I love her loads. Kimberley. Ten seconds. I think you should vote

:19:38.:19:45.

for Sophie because she has been on the biggest journey, she is not a

:19:46.:19:49.

natural dancer but she has improved the most. She is a beautiful person.

:19:50.:19:59.

Sophie, Susanna. Vote for Susanna because she has worked so hard. She

:20:00.:20:04.

has had so much public support and she wants to show the public it was

:20:05.:20:08.

worth backing her and she wants to do it for Kevin from Grimsby.

:20:09.:20:15.

Finally, Peter. Your Christmas depends on how well you do this. I

:20:16.:20:21.

am nervous excavation mark boat for Abbey because she has done so well

:20:22.:20:26.

will stop right from the start, she has improved. Please, time go

:20:27.:20:34.

faster! Can I ask you, if she wins, will you do the robot dance? If she

:20:35.:20:41.

wins, of course. Will you do the running man if Natalie wins? I will.

:20:42.:20:53.

Brilliant work. In a moment I will chat to Susanna and Kevin from

:20:54.:20:57.

Grimsby. We will first look at how the week in the training room has

:20:58.:21:02.

gone. The first dance is the judges' choice, the quickstep. On the night

:21:03.:21:08.

I performed it, I messed up a couple of steps and it was noticed by the

:21:09.:21:15.

judges. Going over the sofa, we almost fell over it and we cannot

:21:16.:21:20.

get that wrong. I am worried about getting flustered about the tricky

:21:21.:21:25.

footwork. I need to be confident and relaxed and I need to tell myself it

:21:26.:21:30.

is going to go right. The difference between a show dance and the other

:21:31.:21:36.

dances is that the rule book is thrown out. While that is exciting,

:21:37.:21:42.

it is also with its own challenges. It has a large chunk of ballroom and

:21:43.:21:50.

I love dancing ballroom with Kevin. Susanna is a beautifully emotional

:21:51.:21:55.

performer and a brilliantly technical dancer, more than people

:21:56.:22:04.

would believe. The show John -- the show dance is what the public look

:22:05.:22:08.

forward to and there is a lot riding on this dance people are waiting

:22:09.:22:16.

for. For the final dance, we are doing our paso doble. Kevin and I

:22:17.:22:22.

chose it because we think it is the dance we have most loved dancing

:22:23.:22:28.

together. Last time we danced it, it was one of the greatest nights of my

:22:29.:22:34.

life. We got the highest score, the first time I had a ten. Craig gave

:22:35.:22:40.

us a nine and he said he would not give us a ten. I would love to get a

:22:41.:22:46.

ten from Craig. You mention the shaping and that is what we have two

:22:47.:22:52.

work on. If he gave us a ten in the final, I do not think I would be

:22:53.:22:59.

able to control myself. It is Susanna and Kevin. It is getting

:23:00.:23:09.

emotional. You made it to the final. The F, a difficult dance,

:23:10.:23:18.

technically. -- the foxtrot. I loved it. Kevin in his glasses. That is

:23:19.:23:24.

what people want to see. We got a lovely response from the judges,

:23:25.:23:29.

which surprised me. The judges have been critical of Susanna in the past

:23:30.:23:35.

couple of weeks. Darcey said that she shone again on Saturday. What is

:23:36.:23:39.

it about this dance that suited her? It was more down to Susanna.

:23:40.:23:45.

There had been a couple of weeks when the judges came down on her and

:23:46.:23:49.

she decided she was not going to take that. She fought back and

:23:50.:23:53.

worked ridiculously hard and it is down to her work ethic. You went on

:23:54.:24:00.

to do the salsa. The last chance to impress before going through to the

:24:01.:24:03.

final. Were you worried about that, the Latin dance? I was so excited.

:24:04.:24:10.

It was like looking forward to the big party at the end. It was our

:24:11.:24:18.

party dance. Look at that. You made it look effortless. How much

:24:19.:24:25.

training did that take? We have been always all or nothing and we thought

:24:26.:24:28.

we had to make an impression and went for a big lift. The judges said

:24:29.:24:34.

it was a little bit messy, but is that the nature of the salsa, that

:24:35.:24:39.

it does not have to be structured? It is a club dance. I have had

:24:40.:24:44.

messages from salsa dancers saying well done for doing a proper salsa.

:24:45.:24:51.

It is supposed to be down and dirty. Susanna let it go. It is getting

:24:52.:25:00.

heated. In the training room, it is all about control. What did I do?

:25:01.:25:13.

You took the man's position. It is not that I am controlling, or

:25:14.:25:24.

anything. Your bum was like that. Give a bit more and be closer. You

:25:25.:25:29.

are out of time. Better when we do it in my time. Shall we start

:25:30.:25:34.

again? Let's do that. I am helping you out. Thanks. I do not like the

:25:35.:25:45.

throw with that left-hand. Susanna maybe has a better idea. We should

:25:46.:25:54.

do something more. Something bigger. We were going to go with two, three,

:25:55.:26:02.

cha-cha-cha. I am all ears. The student has become the teacher. Hell

:26:03.:26:14.

areas. -- hilarious. You could be performing up to three dances and

:26:15.:26:19.

the judges chose for you to do the quickstep again. Are you excited to

:26:20.:26:22.

have another chance to be Debbie Reynolds? I am really excited. It is

:26:23.:26:33.

a brilliant quickstep. And there was just a moment in the original

:26:34.:26:37.

performance when it did not go quite right and I see it as a fantastic

:26:38.:26:43.

opportunity to do it properly. Are you doing as it was originally

:26:44.:26:51.

choreographed? Are used rubbing it back? There will be no stripping it

:26:52.:27:00.

back. It is the final. You are doing the paso doble. An incredible

:27:01.:27:06.

moment. We will see Kevin, doing his lunges again. He got a nine last

:27:07.:27:12.

time from Craig. What would it be like to get a ten? In the film I

:27:13.:27:19.

said if Craig gave me a ten I would find it uncontrollable. I am finding

:27:20.:27:25.

it uncontrollable watching it again. It has been an emotional day. It is

:27:26.:27:30.

the last day of trading today and the thought of going out and doing

:27:31.:27:34.

that thrilling dance with Kevin, it makes me feel quite... We may need

:27:35.:27:43.

the tissues. The judges have said you are a classic all-rounder but

:27:44.:27:47.

you need to work on finishing the movements. Have you been doing some

:27:48.:27:53.

polishing? Definitely. Because it is the final, as well as energy, it has

:27:54.:27:58.

to be finished and polished. Especially with this show dance, it

:27:59.:28:05.

is slower. Let's talk about the show dance. This is the music. Think of

:28:06.:28:18.

Moulin Rouge. Will we be seeing Susanna going up in the air? Big

:28:19.:28:28.

lifts? We will be doing lifts. It is important to have some. It does not

:28:29.:28:34.

have to be all tricks, it has to be about the dancing, but we want to go

:28:35.:28:37.

all out and we have a big one planned. What is the most

:28:38.:28:44.

nerve-racking thing about this weekend? We will be in tears. I

:28:45.:28:50.

think it is holding it together. You know what it is like. You cannot

:28:51.:28:54.

describe it. It is an intense experience. Particularly the show

:28:55.:29:01.

dance with that piece of music, it is very emotional. Whatever happens

:29:02.:29:05.

on Saturday, I will enjoy every moment. I will get to dance with

:29:06.:29:12.

Kevin for the last time on the show. We cannot wait. Susanna and Kevin.

:29:13.:29:21.

That is it for today. Thanks to my guests. Make sure you tune in

:29:22.:29:31.

tomorrow for the fabulous final hour-long special. The whole class

:29:32.:29:33.
