Karen, when we said "rehearsal" we meant for tonight's show.

:00:00.:00:15.

From London, this is Strictly it takes to! Please welcome your host,

:00:16.:01:17.

Zoe Ball! APPLAUSE

:01:18.:01:20.

Tonight we are bringing you contenders and survivors.

:01:21.:01:23.

We've got some music exclusives on this weekend's dances

:01:24.:01:25.

and we take a peek at our professionals in group training.

:01:26.:01:28.

Plus, the mistress of the ballroom, Karen Hardy is back

:01:29.:01:30.

But first, their Charleston on Saturday night

:01:31.:01:34.

opened the show and set the bar so high, that bar was interstellar.

:01:35.:01:37.

APPLAUSE Unbelievable! I have to say you were

:01:38.:02:09.

total firecrackers. It was a wicked Charleston. An incredible comeback

:02:10.:02:13.

and a total moment in this series. Are you still on a high? Janette

:02:14.:02:20.

thought I got emotional backstage, it was swept. I was so overwhelmed,

:02:21.:02:29.

absolutely blown away! I just couldn't believe the way everyone

:02:30.:02:32.

was dancing and the atmosphere and the pace was incredible.

:02:33.:02:41.

You made it look effortless which is so hard to do with something as

:02:42.:02:48.

tricky as that dance. There was a lot of complicated synchronisation

:02:49.:02:51.

in that routine and he picked it up so well. I was so happy. My

:02:52.:02:56.

favourite bit was the mirror bit at the start. Didn't you love her hair

:02:57.:03:05.

like that. It was a need to's wig! This is the BBC, nothing gets

:03:06.:03:13.

wasted. -- ammeter's wig. It was neater than your normal hairstyle.

:03:14.:03:25.

38, your highest score. And the highest score of the series, ladies

:03:26.:03:30.

and gentlemen! I have to say, nothing else happens from now. I

:03:31.:03:36.

will cherish that moment forever. Of course I will try my best but that

:03:37.:03:42.

was the moment, for me. You will have that forever and I think it

:03:43.:03:46.

will go in the Strictly record books. Hopefully, in a big filing

:03:47.:03:54.

cabinet! Darcey did say that she could almost have mistaken Peter for

:03:55.:03:58.

a pro. That must have been music to your ears, Janette? Yes. Our goals

:03:59.:04:04.

as professionals is to get our celebrity partners as good as they

:04:05.:04:08.

can possibly be. When you hear a judge say something like that, that

:04:09.:04:11.

they are close to the level of a professional, I could not be prouder

:04:12.:04:20.

of any other compliment. It was amazing! You were in shock. And when

:04:21.:04:24.

Len stood up, wasn't it an incredible moment. The first ten and

:04:25.:04:29.

he stood up on his dodgy knee. How will you keep that level up, Peter?

:04:30.:04:35.

We not! But it was really great fun! You can't be like that. You can

:04:36.:04:44.

do it again. I'm just going to do my best. I think what I have learned

:04:45.:04:47.

from this is that things are achievable which you don't think

:04:48.:04:52.

they are. Once you start hovering and losing points, you have to think

:04:53.:05:06.

I accept that. I think it makes the whole adventure more exciting. To be

:05:07.:05:13.

at the top must fill you with such confidence? We have had some very

:05:14.:05:18.

hard dances back to back like the rumba and foxtrot, so it was good to

:05:19.:05:23.

do a routine which boosted your energy and woke you back up and made

:05:24.:05:28.

him gain his confidence again. It is scary. No matter who you are in the

:05:29.:05:31.

Scottish and, how much training you have had or have not had, going in

:05:32.:05:36.

front of that many people watching to be judged is very scary. When a

:05:37.:05:40.

number like this comes along, it fills your confidence and makes you

:05:41.:05:46.

feel good. It is the lift and drops and timing in the mirror. You could

:05:47.:05:48.

not even see each other. and timing in the mirror. You could

:05:49.:05:54.

genius. The only criticism came from Craig but it is a tiny one. He said

:05:55.:06:00.

perhaps he overbalanced a bit at the end. Let's see.

:06:01.:06:02.

perhaps he overbalanced a bit at the the lift at the end.

:06:03.:06:18.

I really thought the fireworks covered it! But you are not

:06:19.:06:25.

professional dancers. That is incredible. You take the criticism

:06:26.:06:30.

really well. I could see him laughing. It was so nice because

:06:31.:06:34.

Craig was the one that I felt I wanted to prove to him that I had it

:06:35.:06:39.

in me because he had mentioned before that you don't just want to

:06:40.:06:45.

be not showing what you have got. For once, I felt he could -- I could

:06:46.:06:52.

do it and he gave me and nine. I was over the moon. I could not stop

:06:53.:06:58.

grinning like a Cheshire cat. I have watched it again and again. You

:06:59.:07:02.

moved on to the beanies waltz. We loved the character you had for the

:07:03.:07:04.

Charleston. What kind of loved the character you had for the

:07:05.:07:14.

beanies waltz? Someone from Vienna. -- Viennese waltz. I am allowed to

:07:15.:07:27.

smile. This routine we were saying in rehearsals, this routine is kind

:07:28.:07:32.

of a dedication to his kids. It is about the love he feels for his

:07:33.:07:36.

children. I said, just feel that and whatever you feel that it come out

:07:37.:07:41.

through your arms and legs. The only thing I am not allowed to do in the

:07:42.:07:46.

middle of the routine is say, go to bed which could happen! Brush your

:07:47.:07:51.

teeth! What to think about the news that Jeremy Vine has agreed, once he

:07:52.:07:59.

should get to the final, to recreate the Mysterious Girl video?

:08:00.:08:03.

should get to the final, to recreate things first, I want him to get to

:08:04.:08:04.

the final. I think things first, I want him to get to

:08:05.:08:09.

and I'm so glad he's doing so well. If he recreates that, I am worried

:08:10.:08:14.

he will put me out of work. Everyone should get into the final because I

:08:15.:08:20.

would love to see that. Even if he doesn't get to the final, he is

:08:21.:08:26.

doing it, I did care! Good luck on your Viennese waltz. Peter and

:08:27.:08:27.

Jeannette! -- Jannette. If music be the food of love,

:08:28.:08:35.

play on. It's time for Tunes on Tuesday!

:08:36.:08:42.

The great Bob Marley once said, "The good thing about music is, when

:08:43.:08:46.

Well, hit me with your rhythm stick Mr Jukebox

:08:47.:08:50.

because we want to know what songs our couples are dancing to

:08:51.:08:53.

This year marks the 30 year anniversary since the band formed.

:08:54.:09:07.

But I digress, which of our couples will be dancing

:09:08.:09:12.

That's right, Jamelia and Tristan will be hoping

:09:13.:09:25.

the judges show a little respect to their Samba on Saturday night.

:09:26.:09:31.

That's The Jam with Going Underground.

:09:32.:09:38.

Although it wasn't written about the London Underground,

:09:39.:09:43.

did you know London's tube travels 43 million miles every year?

:09:44.:09:46.

That's right, Jeremy and Karen will be Going Underground

:09:47.:10:04.

I can see Jeremy as a Mod, can't you?

:10:05.:10:07.

That's Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince,

:10:08.:10:20.

also known as Will Smith, with Boom Shake The Room.

:10:21.:10:24.

But which of our couples will be dancing to this classic?

:10:25.:10:31.

Kellie and Kevin will be tackling the Samba to that.

:10:32.:10:39.

If you want to find out what all of our couples will be dancing to,

:10:40.:10:46.

click on the Strictly website. Can I sit down yet? I look ridiculous!

:10:47.:10:49.

Now, it's like she's never been away and she's back for more.

:10:50.:10:52.

I quite like it when you tell me off, I have to say. Let's talk about

:10:53.:11:15.

Peter and Jeannette. The highest score for him and for them so far.

:11:16.:11:20.

Utterly brilliant. Why was it so good? The great thing about

:11:21.:11:29.

choreography and teamwork is it leaves a lasting memory. It is all

:11:30.:11:34.

about the contouring. They were going fast into that lovely slow

:11:35.:11:39.

action. There were lifts and drops. It is just the teamwork between

:11:40.:11:44.

those two. And also the quality of the choreography. All the layering

:11:45.:11:48.

which is going on. I am in love with it from week to week. They have to

:11:49.:11:56.

keep coming back with more like it. It is all about the lasting memory.

:11:57.:12:06.

Let's have a look at Helen and Aljaz's drama filled rumba. There

:12:07.:12:12.

was the added drama of Len and Craig. Was there enough rumba or

:12:13.:12:18.

not? There is the drama of the drag here building up at the end,

:12:19.:12:21.

combined with the fundamentals of the basics and then the finish. That

:12:22.:12:31.

silence. I just loved it. If she had even slightly dropped her hand, it

:12:32.:12:36.

would have ruined the moment. I had to write my notes on this. What I

:12:37.:12:43.

like to say, not enough fundamentals. These two are poor

:12:44.:12:49.

imitation of the dance. Too much fundamentals can leave a performance

:12:50.:12:52.

with no appeal. So really we are saying, it is

:12:53.:12:57.

finding the balance. For Aljaz and all of our professionals, the

:12:58.:13:01.

Strictly clock is ticking. They can be changing choreography even to up

:13:02.:13:05.

on the day. We don't know where Aljaz was going. For me, our

:13:06.:13:10.

beautiful lady, she has still got to keep working on those legs. She has

:13:11.:13:16.

to be the master of seven different rumba walks. And let's talk very

:13:17.:13:23.

quickly, I don't want to upset everybody at home, I just want to do

:13:24.:13:28.

my demo. All the mums at home will be opening the fridge door, getting

:13:29.:13:32.

the dinner out and they will be closing it again. We are going to

:13:33.:13:35.

forward walk turning and then back. Seven different rumba walks they

:13:36.:13:54.

have to master. They have to get it out the way. They have got it out of

:13:55.:14:05.

the way, now let's get onto next. Anita and Gleb, their joys. Craig

:14:06.:14:07.

think he Anita and Gleb, their joys. Craig

:14:08.:14:12.

style, what did he mean? Full of energy, fast, energy, kicks but

:14:13.:14:20.

Craig was on the money. Kicks and flicks first of all, straight back

:14:21.:14:24.

and trainers gives the image of a rock and roll style dance and that

:14:25.:14:27.

was the first thing that was probably affecting the style of the

:14:28.:14:33.

dance. The second thing is we have the musical timing of a jive. Our

:14:34.:14:38.

international jive is a slower slow. That means one beat, three quarters

:14:39.:14:42.

of the time we stand on it. On another beat we stand there for a

:14:43.:14:46.

quarter of a moment and on the final moment we stand there for a whole

:14:47.:15:06.

beat. Basically one should be held for the longest amount of time. So

:15:07.:15:08.

it goes one two, 12-macro. That gives us this jive style. Where it

:15:09.:15:11.

was going quick, quick, quick, changes the style of the dance.

:15:12.:15:14.

Craig was nit-picking but it was only a little thing. Well done to

:15:15.:15:20.

them. Onto Jeremy and Karen and their Wild West tango. The audience

:15:21.:15:28.

went crackers. The judges were almost speechless. Was it a good

:15:29.:15:35.

tango? I am in love with the horse! That is another story. In general,

:15:36.:15:44.

he is mastering it. We have the head turns very sharp. It is all about

:15:45.:15:48.

the delivery of the execution. We love Jeremy. We just want to see

:15:49.:15:56.

more and more of the execution now. Before the end he goes, come on! He

:15:57.:16:06.

is saying Mark May. This is performance, entertainment and we

:16:07.:16:11.

are seeing him going back and back again! George and Giovanni finishing

:16:12.:16:15.

the show with their spicy samba. High praise, such speed, incredible

:16:16.:16:20.

technique. The judges said speed may have been George's downfall. What do

:16:21.:16:21.

you think? Gosh no. It is not only speed she

:16:22.:16:31.

has, it is the control. You can see the slow there. You have to be so in

:16:32.:16:37.

control of your legs and action, to be flying around that dance floor

:16:38.:16:40.

and to be able to control the slow is incredible. I love the power of

:16:41.:16:44.

her legs. The relationship between them. So much so, there is a tiny

:16:45.:16:48.

little error I have picked up on. I have to do it in slow motion. A

:16:49.:16:53.

simple arm. Watch now. The arm is going into the wrong position and in

:16:54.:16:58.

a heartbeat, he picked it up, put it in the right position and they have

:16:59.:17:02.

carried on as though nothing happened. None of us would have seen

:17:03.:17:09.

that. That's how strict my eye is. But so fast, they are that in tune

:17:10.:17:13.

with each other, he saw that arm going wrong, put it in the right

:17:14.:17:17.

place and it looked flawless. This is how clever they all are. Thank

:17:18.:17:21.

you for coming back, the wonderful Karen Hardy.

:17:22.:17:24.

This week's group dance is all about the many faces of love.

:17:25.:17:27.

I cannot wait for this week's group dance rehearsal. Romance has hit the

:17:28.:17:40.

Strictly studio and sweeping all the pros along with it. It is a row tan

:17:41.:17:45.

particular dance. A few love stories. In the dance you will

:17:46.:17:49.

follow through three different relationships. It is a love story

:17:50.:17:53.

initially, from the park, into the office, back into the park and

:17:54.:17:56.

eventually you will see how tlinges together. We are following different

:17:57.:17:59.

relationships through of the different dances. We have used

:18:00.:18:03.

ballroom dancing as the medium but we wanted to use a fusion, sometimes

:18:04.:18:07.

you see the Viennese waltz, sometimes the foxtrot, a little

:18:08.:18:09.

contestifiry in there. It is beautiful when they come together at

:18:10.:18:13.

the end. Working with Jason is probably by far one of my favourite

:18:14.:18:17.

things to do. He is so involved in every aspect and every inch of the

:18:18.:18:21.

routine. Five, six, seven, eight and one... He works us hard but he is

:18:22.:18:26.

one of the best choreographers in the world. Coming up with these

:18:27.:18:32.

ideas, it is outstanding. One or two key individuals pull it together and

:18:33.:18:37.

Jason is right at the top of that. It looks like another goody. Two

:18:38.:18:40.

weeks awhy they were joint first. But on Sunday night they fought

:18:41.:18:53.

and survived the dance off. Dare we say

:18:54.:18:55.

the word "roller-coaster"? Give them extra amounts of love,

:18:56.:18:57.

Kellie and Kevin. Hello my darlings. Give them extra amounts of love,

:18:58.:19:06.

Bless you, nobody saw Give them extra amounts of love,

:19:07.:19:10.

the weekend. Everyone was like - what's going

:19:11.:19:15.

the weekend. Everyone was like - shocked and gutted as we were all

:19:16.:19:20.

the weekend. Everyone was like - surreal moment. Not because it was

:19:21.:19:27.

the weekend. Everyone was like - does that mean we're through?

:19:28.:19:32.

the weekend. Everyone was like - and then - I mean everyone could see

:19:33.:19:36.

my face. When I watched it back I felt - oh my God, I look like I've

:19:37.:19:42.

been punched in the tummy or something. It felt like all the air

:19:43.:19:47.

had gone out of me. And my first thought was - don't krie, just don't

:19:48.:19:52.

cry. I looked at you and you went, "Are you OK?" And I was, "I'm OK."

:19:53.:19:58.

That was the hardest thing like, taking that big breath in and going

:19:59.:20:02.

- right, OK, here we go, onwards and I'm going to have to try to manage

:20:03.:20:07.

my nerves and all these emotions that are rushing through me and get

:20:08.:20:10.

through this next bit. Because I can't afford to mess this up. That's

:20:11.:20:14.

what I was thinking. All of that in a split second. In a split second.

:20:15.:20:19.

And when I watched it back, seeing everyone else's faces, which of

:20:20.:20:26.

course I had no idea about. They were all like - WHAT. Honestly Kev

:20:27.:20:42.

first time in the dance-off, dump - first time in the dance-off. What

:20:43.:20:46.

did it feel like? I felt bad. Don't. We were both in a daze. Not quite

:20:47.:20:50.

sure what to do. Full credit to Kellie. She picked up and danced

:20:51.:20:56.

even better in the dance-offs. I didn't, I was panicking. He was a

:20:57.:21:01.

superstar. Whatever was going on for him inside, he didn't let me know

:21:02.:21:06.

any of it. He was like a rock. He was like, "You can do this, we can

:21:07.:21:11.

do this, it is going to be fine. I know you have this in you, don't

:21:12.:21:16.

worry, it is all good." And you turned around and went - I want my

:21:17.:21:20.

mum! The wonderful thing is the judges unanimously saved you.

:21:21.:21:23.

mum! The wonderful thing is the said goodbye to Carole. They all

:21:24.:21:29.

decided to save you. Does that give you confidence back? The judges were

:21:30.:21:32.

all lovely. They were lovely right from the minute we were in the

:21:33.:21:36.

dance-off. They said really lovely things and yes, of course, it was

:21:37.:21:41.

great they all agreed to save us but for me t doesn't take away from the

:21:42.:21:45.

fact that people didn't vote for us. You know, they didn't vote. But

:21:46.:21:50.

there are all sorts of reasons why. That's hard not to take personally

:21:51.:21:55.

and not to go... What have you done, people? They don't like me. You have

:21:56.:22:00.

to remember that this often happens. Abbey Clancy, bottom two, went on to

:22:01.:22:04.

win. I think sometimes people who are doing well, the people who have

:22:05.:22:07.

less votes, I think sometimes get more votes. I don't know, you maybe

:22:08.:22:13.

wrong. That's what I'm thinking. Let's talk about your right

:22:14.:22:18.

shoulder, the nemesis. Get down! Let's remind ourselves of what

:22:19.:22:22.

happened. Only that right shoulder. . Oh, my right shoulder has a life

:22:23.:22:30.

of its own, Darcey. It has a lot of feeling. You bring it into it just

:22:31.:22:35.

too much. But when we - we did talk about this with Karen Monday's show.

:22:36.:22:39.

And she was like - it is only a little bit and then you correct it

:22:40.:22:44.

as well Well, apparently so. Kevin probably mentions my right shoulder

:22:45.:22:48.

in training, oh, how many times a session, do you reckon, 20? Probably

:22:49.:22:54.

more. Probably more. Don't give me your shoulder, don't give me your

:22:55.:22:58.

shoulder. I get that a lot. I don't know what it is. I don't know if it

:22:59.:23:03.

is tension. I think in ballroom because you have to be out to the

:23:04.:23:08.

left, I just automatically sort of do that to force myself out, rather

:23:09.:23:12.

than laying back there. Karen says you have to twist here and there.

:23:13.:23:16.

These are pernickity tiny things, aren't they? . Really small things.

:23:17.:23:22.

What I was really pleased about, though, was Len picked up on the

:23:23.:23:26.

double reverse swings and heel turns. We are working on technical

:23:27.:23:30.

things. We wanted it to be a quality waltz. It is not a big, flashy,

:23:31.:23:35.

showy dance, you can't throw yourself around and do lifts. You

:23:36.:23:40.

have to show quality. Obviously we had done fast dances for the weeks

:23:41.:23:44.

before, so we wanted to show that finesse and technique. Of course

:23:45.:23:48.

there will be things here and there, but I was pleased Len picked up on

:23:49.:23:54.

the quality of that. So was I. Let's leave that behind and let's move on

:23:55.:23:59.

you are doing a samba to Boom Shake The Room. Come on! Is it going to be

:24:00.:24:05.

like some crazy multi-coloured '90s' moment? Exactly what it is going to

:24:06.:24:10.

be. Exactly. We are so excited. I said to Kevin - we can't go home, we

:24:11.:24:15.

have to do next week, we have just got to do this routine. We have been

:24:16.:24:20.

so excited about it. I know. And because we are fighting for our

:24:21.:24:23.

lives now, we are going all out. What do you have planned then? You

:24:24.:24:28.

are already excited about it now, he is going crazy with the

:24:29.:24:32.

choreography, what delights can we witness? A lot of energy, full-on

:24:33.:24:39.

samba and a massive ghetto blaster. I can't wait There is a lot of hip

:24:40.:24:45.

action. That's what I will say a lot of hip action. Quite excited by

:24:46.:24:49.

that. You were saying at the weekend you wish you had more time to

:24:50.:24:53.

practise. You don't physically have any more time. You have massive

:24:54.:24:57.

storylines in EastEnders at the moment. It is a really difficult

:24:58.:25:02.

thing for me. I knew that I would be doing both things at the same time

:25:03.:25:07.

when I said yes. I wanted to do it so much that I was - I will be fine,

:25:08.:25:13.

I will be fine but my brain is reaching saturation of going - you

:25:14.:25:16.

cannot remember any more routines or any more line, there is no room but

:25:17.:25:21.

I'm going to have to pull it out of the bag this week because like Kevin

:25:22.:25:25.

said, I feel we are really fighting now to have a place here. So, I'm

:25:26.:25:29.

going to literally dance in my sleep. You know that thing you said

:25:30.:25:33.

last week about not sleeping, I'm going to do that. Yes, don't bother

:25:34.:25:36.

sleeping, act, dance. Don't lose heart, you are brilliant, both of

:25:37.:25:40.

you. I think it is going to be great.

:25:41.:25:42.

Now, Kevin is going to remain with us

:25:43.:25:44.

Now, we have a tonne of questions for you both so let's get into it.

:25:45.:26:05.

Niamh would like to know - how long does it take for you to learn your

:26:06.:26:11.

pro routines? Oh, well we start early. We start in August and we

:26:12.:26:18.

usually have a day per dance. About eight hours, isn't it? About eight

:26:19.:26:24.

hours. How do you remember that? Well we don't. They all go on a

:26:25.:26:29.

private website that we all have, that we can then look at and recap

:26:30.:26:34.

the dance and we come in for rehearsals on Monday mornings to

:26:35.:26:38.

recap it all. Who is the worst at forgetting things? Oh... . Some

:26:39.:26:44.

people just don't watch the video. Janette, Charlie asks - what is your

:26:45.:26:48.

favourite part of being a pro on Strictly? That's a question. I think

:26:49.:26:53.

just the job in itself. I get to dance, I get to teach, I get to

:26:54.:26:59.

choreograph. And on top of it all I get to do it with the love of my

:27:00.:27:04.

life and some of my best and closest friends. It is just everything about

:27:05.:27:08.

it is amazing. I couldn't ask for a more perfect job. It is a dream job.

:27:09.:27:12.

I love everything about it. Everything, everything, everything.

:27:13.:27:15.

A good answer. Kimberly wants to know - what is it like having your

:27:16.:27:25.

other halves on the show? Annoying. No, it is really nice, actually. I

:27:26.:27:30.

mean me and Karen love working together and Aljaz and Janette love

:27:31.:27:34.

working together. For the four of us, because we are all best mates,

:27:35.:27:42.

we have our own little team. We all ourselves the dream team,

:27:43.:27:48.

#Dream team, the coolsome foursome. So what whoever celebrities we are

:27:49.:27:54.

paired up with, they have a support team. Do you ever swap parters? We

:27:55.:28:00.

do. In Blackpool Kevin and I will be dance together. High standards. Yes.

:28:01.:28:05.

And Georgia asks - what is your favourite song to dance to, if you

:28:06.:28:10.

are at home with Aljaz and you have some wine I don't have a favourite

:28:11.:28:15.

song. Not one that makes you crack out. I like everything groovy.

:28:16.:28:22.

Kevin. . Theme tune to the Muppets. Brilliant. Looking forward to seeing

:28:23.:28:27.

you dancing in Blackpool. That's all we have time for tonight,

:28:28.:28:30.

folks. Tomorrow Jay

:28:31.:28:32.

and Aliona will be popping in, We commence our worldwide tour

:28:33.:28:33.

of the various Strictly shows Plus, Ian Waite will be weighing

:28:34.:28:37.

up our couples in training. Join us on BBC One for a truly epic

:28:38.:28:48.

night of entertainment,
