Tonight on It Takes Two, we're saying goodbye to | :00:00. | :00:00.
Dame Karen Hardy is back for her Choreography Corner. | :00:00. | :00:13.
And we also have Jeremy and Karen here. | :00:14. | :00:17.
Oh, Jeremy, what are you doing back here? | :00:18. | :00:21.
I'm back here, because I wanna dance with you! | :00:22. | :00:30.
Live from London, this is Strictly - It Takes Two. Please welcome your | :00:31. | :01:19.
post, Zoe Ball! I don't know about you, | :01:20. | :01:23.
but I'm still recovering from the That was one result none | :01:24. | :01:36.
of us forecast. Sadly for Carol and Pasha, | :01:37. | :01:43.
the Strictly skies clouded over Let's enjoy | :01:44. | :01:45.
their last dance one more time. You have got the tissues at the | :01:46. | :02:22.
ready. I feel sad. | :02:23. | :02:44.
But the overwhelming feeling is one of pleasure. It was just amazing, | :02:45. | :02:50.
amazing to be part of Strictly, the glamour, to be taught by Pasha how | :02:51. | :02:55.
to dance, what a privilege. It was fabulous. | :02:56. | :02:58.
When you see yourself dancing, can you believe, that is me! On national | :02:59. | :03:03.
TV. It seems like a dream, even though | :03:04. | :03:08.
it was at the weekend. Did it really happen? It was a dream | :03:09. | :03:11.
come true. It was. | :03:12. | :03:13.
You smiled your way through the results show last night. | :03:14. | :03:15.
But, be honest, are you relieved it's now all over? | :03:16. | :03:23.
Or are you heartbroken? It is a bit of both. | :03:24. | :03:29.
I've got as far as I could because I am not the greatest dancer. I give | :03:30. | :03:33.
it my best shot. I am going to cry. | :03:34. | :03:38.
The tissues are there. No crying, we are a happy couple. | :03:39. | :03:44.
Are you going to miss her? How disappointed are you that | :03:45. | :03:45.
you won't get to see that Of course I will miss you, we had so | :03:46. | :03:55.
match. There's little things Carol tells me every day, the weather | :03:56. | :03:59.
reports. Little songs. | :04:00. | :04:05.
Carol singing as well, that has been a joy. | :04:06. | :04:09.
Does power shower scene? Just nod. He does a wee bit. We have | :04:10. | :04:20.
a favourite song. That could be a Christmas single. | :04:21. | :04:25.
Our favourite song? ! Can we make a video, afterwards? | :04:26. | :04:35.
How do you feel about going out of the competition? You were at the | :04:36. | :04:40.
bottom three weeks. Do you feel it was the right time to | :04:41. | :04:45.
go? I never look at it from this point | :04:46. | :04:51.
of view. We had fun, and each starts we did our best. This week, we ended | :04:52. | :04:56.
up to be going away. But we take so much with us. | :04:57. | :05:02.
The judges also said you did improve, Darcey and Len saw | :05:03. | :05:08.
improvement. Did they give you enough abolishment for all the work | :05:09. | :05:11.
you did? You might not have been up with the | :05:12. | :05:14.
other dancers but you are working really hard, you put in the effort | :05:15. | :05:18.
and were fantastic. Thank you, I wish you had been on | :05:19. | :05:25.
the judging panel! They are the experts and I was just | :05:26. | :05:29.
learning. Pasha is a brilliant teacher. | :05:30. | :05:34.
They tried to be constructive. I really respect that. The judges are | :05:35. | :05:38.
lovely. Did you feel like you were on the | :05:39. | :05:43.
map, mastering, improving every week? | :05:44. | :05:47.
Sometimes we were up, sometimes down. I loved the American Smooth. | :05:48. | :05:52.
Such good fun. I was dreading these lists by Pasha gave me the | :05:53. | :05:57.
confidence to go for it. I felt you were better and better in | :05:58. | :06:02.
confidence. When we started, you were a little bit shy, blushing. | :06:03. | :06:07.
Look at you. Up there. | :06:08. | :06:12.
If you are going out on a darts, that was an incredible performance. | :06:13. | :06:17.
What we got from watching you dance is how much fun you are having. | :06:18. | :06:24.
Totally. It was such good fun. It was nerve wracking when you were on | :06:25. | :06:28.
the floor waiting to go on. When the dance started, you could not help | :06:29. | :06:33.
but smile. I loved it. What will you miss the most about | :06:34. | :06:38.
her? Just our little conversations | :06:39. | :06:40.
together, and how hard she was working. She wanted to do it again. | :06:41. | :06:44.
And again. So many people were sad to see you. | :06:45. | :07:00.
-- to see you go. We were sad to see you go. We always | :07:01. | :07:07.
thought you were marvellous. She was our favourite. I will read | :07:08. | :07:11.
out some comments, Kate, well done Carol. Penny, I shall miss her. | :07:12. | :07:18.
Philip, a pleasure to watch her. Mary, well done, Carol, dignified to | :07:19. | :07:23.
the end. You are brilliant, well done. | :07:24. | :07:26.
We knew you'd stay in the condition because whatever the nasty judges | :07:27. | :07:30.
said, we knew people would keep voting for you week after week. | :07:31. | :07:35.
They didn't stop but that is all right. Just keep smiling, we know | :07:36. | :07:43.
you always will. We have loved watching you dance | :07:44. | :07:48.
together. Let us look back at your Strictly story. | :07:49. | :07:55.
I really did save the very best till last. | :07:56. | :07:59.
Never in my dreams did I think I would get the reigning champion. | :08:00. | :08:05.
Put it together. I can do that. I haven't fallen in love with dance | :08:06. | :08:09.
just yet. The cold front blew in and you did | :08:10. | :08:14.
not survive it. This week is the foxtrot, and it is | :08:15. | :08:23.
lovely. She loves trotting. Carol, I hope you are happy, with | :08:24. | :08:28.
the work, it has paid off. I just don't want to let you go. | :08:29. | :08:35.
Limp, lame and very lacklustre I am afraid, three. | :08:36. | :08:41.
It is hard keeping that serious face. | :08:42. | :08:47.
What did I do? This is the first time we have seen | :08:48. | :08:53.
your body actually engage in any dance, well done, and improvement. | :08:54. | :08:59.
Once upon a time, there was the most ladylike of ladies called Princess | :09:00. | :09:02.
Carol. This dance never stops turning. You | :09:03. | :09:06.
do get dizzy with all of these things. | :09:07. | :09:13.
A very nice, stylish Viennese waltz. Google, wiggle. That is it, you are | :09:14. | :09:20.
with me. I am blushing. I wish the air conditioner would come on. | :09:21. | :09:25.
Are you enjoyed that secretly? Yes. I would. | :09:26. | :09:33.
Sadly, just isn't your dance. Two. Three. Four. | :09:34. | :09:40.
The thing that I most worry about are the lifts. | :09:41. | :09:43.
Pasha, I am scared. I really hope we have a solid routine, it has got to | :09:44. | :09:47.
be good. I can see the confidence and intense | :09:48. | :09:51.
and energy. You need to sell it and you were selling it. | :09:52. | :09:55.
I would like to save Kellie and Kevin. | :09:56. | :10:00.
It has been the most wonderful experience. | :10:01. | :10:03.
A huge thank you to Pasha, he is wonderful. Thank you for teaching | :10:04. | :10:07.
me. I am so proud of you. Working with | :10:08. | :10:12.
you was the most experienced experience. Thank you, I will | :10:13. | :10:20.
definitely miss you. Carol, your very own Strictly story, | :10:21. | :10:25.
you can treasure your lovely memories. Who would you like to see | :10:26. | :10:32.
go to lift the trophy, Carol? All of them, all the remaining contestants, | :10:33. | :10:36.
they are all brilliant and good friends. | :10:37. | :10:36.
We will miss you. Before you go, we have to get one | :10:37. | :10:38.
last forecast and, as we've got six weeks left, can it be a long-range | :10:39. | :10:42.
forecast up until Christmas? Is it going to be a white Christmas? | :10:43. | :10:52.
The next few days, unseasonably mild, wet and windy at times. | :10:53. | :10:57.
The temperature will drop, with snow on the hills of Scotland. | :10:58. | :11:04.
She is incredible. Can I say, you will generally one of the most | :11:05. | :11:10.
positive people I have met. Such a joy watching you dance. Now I am | :11:11. | :11:12.
going to cry. We're officially halfway through the | :11:13. | :11:13.
series which means it's time the Right, let's start with Dom | :11:14. | :11:20.
on camera one. Come on, you've got 29 more | :11:21. | :11:32.
shows to get up to an A. Rascal on camera three, it is not | :11:33. | :11:51.
good. Good morning, class, quite for the | :11:52. | :11:55.
register. George. Here, sir. The Guinness? | :11:56. | :12:03.
Jamelia? Andrei? Yes, sir. | :12:04. | :12:15.
Anton has been a good teacher, not too strict, encouraging. Mucks | :12:16. | :12:22.
around in class quite a lot, but I like that. And easily distracted | :12:23. | :12:26.
pupil. I feel like I am in detention or the time being taught by Gleb. | :12:27. | :12:32.
He is the best kind of teacher, makes me laugh, always positive. You | :12:33. | :12:38.
had better not get anything else wrong. | :12:39. | :12:42.
It is like I have been handed a huge textbook and I haven't read page | :12:43. | :12:48.
one, that is how I feel. My teacher, Ali Ash, he is so calm, | :12:49. | :12:54.
so nice, who probably be a really good teacher at whether those | :12:55. | :12:58.
schools. Head girl is probably Kellie, our | :12:59. | :13:02.
dance captain. Class clown, Peter Andre, terrible | :13:03. | :13:09.
jokes. Terrible jokes. Jeremy is the head | :13:10. | :13:13.
boy. Jeremy is an absolute legend when it | :13:14. | :13:17.
comes to practising, I have never seen anyone practice as much as he | :13:18. | :13:20.
does. Jeremy is a very good choice. | :13:21. | :13:25.
He is like the prefect. Jay is the one. Calm down. | :13:26. | :13:33.
Five minutes, folks. Almost perfect. | :13:34. | :13:42.
School is out! Class, dismissed. | :13:43. | :13:48.
Now, it's not just the dancing we're all talking about. | :13:49. | :13:51.
It was a weekend of firsts for our beloved Len. | :13:52. | :13:53.
He dished out his first 10 of the series and, boy, did Peter love it! | :13:54. | :14:04.
Len Goodman? It is the first ten from me. | :14:05. | :14:09.
So exciting. Len then whipped out one | :14:10. | :14:11.
of his trademark lines If you are in the dance of this | :14:12. | :14:23.
week, I am going to pick on my walnuts! | :14:24. | :14:27.
Don't want to think about that too long. | :14:28. | :14:27.
And we've had to wait six weeks but, on Saturday, there was | :14:28. | :14:30.
It is a Romberg, you can't change what it is. But also, you are | :14:31. | :14:41.
allowed to choose what steps you use for the Rumba. | :14:42. | :14:44.
Fight, fight. Right, fans of Dame Hardy, breathe a | :14:45. | :14:47.
sigh of relief because the almighty has returned, and is bursting to get | :14:48. | :14:50.
back into her Choreography Corner. This is you desperately, in China | :14:51. | :15:21.
and Japan. Look what I got for you. Little chopsticks with sparkles on | :15:22. | :15:24.
the top. That is beautiful, she is so | :15:25. | :15:28.
generous. I thought she would never get me a present. She has shocked | :15:29. | :15:30.
me. We're halfway through | :15:31. | :15:31.
the series now. We had a shock couple | :15:32. | :15:33.
in the dance off at the weekend. Is this | :15:34. | :15:36.
when the competition gets serious? I did not expect Kellie to be down | :15:37. | :15:52.
there. It says, professionals, drop down a gear, get ready, they will | :15:53. | :15:56.
bring in some more amazing choreography. We are halfway which | :15:57. | :16:02.
means we have new pros, hopefully some new choreography. | :16:03. | :16:07.
And we have our lovely professionals who have been here for a while who | :16:08. | :16:13.
know the game. They know what excites everybody, I can't wait. | :16:14. | :16:14.
Right, we're going to take a look at the first half of our couples. | :16:15. | :16:17.
Let's start with Jamelia and Tristan. | :16:18. | :16:19.
She managed to avoid the dance off this week. | :16:20. | :16:21.
Len said she's clearly worked on her footwork. | :16:22. | :16:23.
beautifully, heel leads which leads to graceful movement across the | :16:24. | :16:42.
dance floor. Another piece I have picked up on, the clash with the | :16:43. | :16:49.
guitar at the top. However, what we had to say, the importance of the | :16:50. | :16:56.
feet. Other was nervousness in her. What happened? That then messed up | :16:57. | :17:03.
some steps later on. A simple dance gave her time to learn the feet. Use | :17:04. | :17:09.
those feet and give us great movement. It is unfortunate with a | :17:10. | :17:14.
prop on the floral like that. Let's move on to Katie and Anton's | :17:15. | :17:17.
quickstep. Craig said that this was | :17:18. | :17:19.
an ambitious routine. What made it ambitious | :17:20. | :17:21.
and how well did she cope with it? This was very ambitious. This is | :17:22. | :17:33.
what we would do in a competition, strike the first chord and go | :17:34. | :17:40.
straight to our rivals. The thing is, Anton went but Katie was | :17:41. | :17:46.
struggling. This was an incredible piece of choreography. All the | :17:47. | :17:52.
changes of direction. But again, so complex and by the end of the | :17:53. | :17:56.
routine I was feeling for them. If that had gone well it would have | :17:57. | :18:04.
been a show stopping performance. So I will commend Anton, he is playing | :18:05. | :18:11.
the game, taking gambles. Next week if we have choreography as difficult | :18:12. | :18:17.
and she nails it should we will go from zero to hero. No pressure, but | :18:18. | :18:23.
massive pressure. This was the first Argentine | :18:24. | :18:26.
tango of the series. Darcey used the word "perfection", | :18:27. | :18:30.
Len said "polished". But the judges still want to | :18:31. | :18:34.
see more emotion from Jay. What does he need to do | :18:35. | :18:36.
and has he got it in him? Yes, we just need presentation. A | :18:37. | :18:50.
feeling of emotion is what we are looking for. We know she is lovely | :18:51. | :18:55.
and innocent but I have chosen this year, look at the hand. We have | :18:56. | :19:02.
beautiful choreography, movement down the steps, intricacy of | :19:03. | :19:06.
everything and the delivery. But it is losing the passion. The voice of | :19:07. | :19:16.
dance comes through your body. So, we have done this before, if I just | :19:17. | :19:22.
put my hand out without my body behind it there is no voice. But if | :19:23. | :19:27.
I put my hand out and move the body. Hand, body. You feel that. | :19:28. | :19:38.
Body, hand. It gives it a voice and depth. But the other thing is what | :19:39. | :19:45.
he is thinking about. If he is thinking about steps his face will | :19:46. | :19:49.
look like that, that if he is thinking about getting hot and | :19:50. | :19:52.
sweaty we might have different look on face. I might have turned! | :19:53. | :19:56.
Kellie and Kevin survived the dance off. | :19:57. | :19:58.
It was 8s all round from the judges for their waltz. | :19:59. | :20:01.
Darcey picked up on Kellie's right shoulder, | :20:02. | :20:02.
which she said herself has a life of its own, what does she mean? | :20:03. | :20:10.
Topline, gapping, footwork, this pole pieces the judges will be | :20:11. | :20:16.
looking at and everyone at home now as these. -- everyone at home | :20:17. | :20:25.
nosebleeds. This is what I want you to look at, she has gone into the | :20:26. | :20:32.
turning spin, can you see the right side has started to turn? As she | :20:33. | :20:36.
comes to go out of it she corrects it. Hops the Rachel Berbatov. -- | :20:37. | :20:46.
pops the right shoulder back. We have a lovely audience tonight. | :20:47. | :20:52.
Everyone at home put down your cooking tools. Ladies, take up the | :20:53. | :20:58.
ballroom hold. The frame goes from elbow to elbow. Four points on a | :20:59. | :21:04.
picture frame, elbow to elbow and the points on your knees as well are | :21:05. | :21:10.
your four points. The body has to an one-way and the head has to turn the | :21:11. | :21:15.
other. What happens is if your head and body turn the same direction can | :21:16. | :21:19.
you see what happens to my right arm? So what we have to do is turn | :21:20. | :21:25.
the body back but you have to leave your head there. That is the | :21:26. | :21:31.
challenge in the kitchen tonight. Very night. We will talk about the | :21:32. | :21:33.
rest of the couples tomorrow. You'll be back tomorrow | :21:34. | :21:39.
for more choreography chit-chat. A few weeks ago, | :21:40. | :21:42.
he was showering in front of the nation, and at the weekend he | :21:43. | :21:46.
was seen straddling a horse whilst Is it me or does it sound | :21:47. | :21:50.
like he's working Well done, another brilliant | :21:51. | :21:53.
performance. When you were told you would be | :21:54. | :22:20.
starting your tango on a massive I remember the film spinal tap, | :22:21. | :22:33.
Stonehenge, instead of it being 18 feet it was 18 inches. I wondered if | :22:34. | :22:36.
we were heading for one of those moments. But I walked backstage on | :22:37. | :22:42.
Friday and I saw it and the size of it, it was incredible. This face is | :22:43. | :22:51.
rather alarming. You did perfect the tango face. Was it an enjoyable | :22:52. | :23:01.
experience? So much, the beginning, saying I am back because I want to | :23:02. | :23:06.
dance with you. In the rehearsal I was told that is all I would have to | :23:07. | :23:11.
do. But we spent a lot of time on the dance and afterwards Anton and | :23:12. | :23:14.
Brendan came up separately and said it was a dance. They were being | :23:15. | :23:20.
serious. I am at the point where I was so chuffed about that because | :23:21. | :23:24.
they saw we had worked on it. The bizarre combination. | :23:25. | :23:32.
Congratulations. I know the horse is distracting, but there was some | :23:33. | :23:37.
dancing. As for Craig saying he spotted my bottom, that was not | :23:38. | :23:40.
deliberate. We will come to that in a moment. But last week you | :23:41. | :23:45.
mentioned it's not the first time you have worn a cowboy hat. | :23:46. | :23:47.
So, we had a rummage through the BBC vaults, and unearthed this gem | :23:48. | :23:50.
This is a shoot out saloon, I am looking for a politician to try my | :23:51. | :24:02.
shooting skills on. So embarrassing. It was the Liberal | :24:03. | :24:11.
Democrats, Nick Clegg was due to appear as a cowboy so somebody said | :24:12. | :24:16.
why don't you appear as a cowboy and I said yes. Afterwards there was a | :24:17. | :24:21.
huge enquiry as to what on earth and all got the sack. You were hesitant | :24:22. | :24:25.
when I said you were going to wear cowboy hat. Darcey complimented you | :24:26. | :24:33.
on your topline and Len says he loves watching you, how does that | :24:34. | :24:41.
feel? Can you feel the improvement? You should answer that because Karen | :24:42. | :24:46.
sees it better than me. I feel it here and when he starts dropping I | :24:47. | :24:50.
am like, but you know, he is improving. His timing is impact | :24:51. | :24:56.
able. -- impeccable. He never gets anything wrong, you are leading me. | :24:57. | :25:04.
The one thing, and I did not realise this until we started the | :25:05. | :25:07.
competition is that when I was a teenager I played the drums. Yes! I | :25:08. | :25:14.
realise how handy that is, you can hear the beat and it has really | :25:15. | :25:19.
helped. That is about all that has helped me! Don't be so hard on | :25:20. | :25:24.
yourself. Find footage of him on the drums... Let's talk about Craig with | :25:25. | :25:31.
his more backhanded compliment. It was like playing the lottery with | :25:32. | :25:34.
you, we never know where the limit is going to land but I did enjoy | :25:35. | :25:42.
your little bottom as you went past the desk. Another format, the sky is | :25:43. | :25:52.
the limit! I think we need to move to a decimal point system. Then we | :25:53. | :26:02.
would see, I am sure it is a 4.3, but for -5 is too much to hope for. | :26:03. | :26:06.
But every dance we do we are going to do that move just in front of | :26:07. | :26:14.
Craig. So much love for you on social media. | :26:15. | :26:19.
And award-winning choreographer Matthew Bourne, who has an OBE | :26:20. | :26:26.
for dance, and a Tony Award for his choreography for Swan Lake said: | :26:27. | :26:41.
The choreography, I want to place Karen -- praise Karen because | :26:42. | :26:48.
telling me I would be on a horse, brilliant. You inspire me. What a | :26:49. | :26:59.
relationship. Your belt, you have gone down from hole two to hole | :27:00. | :27:06.
four? Yes, this is the picture. Also notice the Joy division T-shirt. I | :27:07. | :27:15.
am losing weight, my goodness. The abs are coming. Unfortunately I have | :27:16. | :27:21.
promised and I don't know how this happened, but if I got to the final | :27:22. | :27:24.
I would remake Peter Andre's mysterious Carol. I saw it as a | :27:25. | :27:33.
headline but I did promise it. -- mysterious girl. I promised heat | :27:34. | :27:36.
magazine I would do that without realising what I was saying so that | :27:37. | :27:42.
must not happen. We all know what to do. Let stalk about the quickstep, | :27:43. | :27:50.
how is that coming on? It is good, we had two hours today and he is | :27:51. | :27:54.
really liked on his feet. He is recognising a lot of the steps. It's | :27:55. | :28:04.
getting everything put together. I tell you what will be back, the | :28:05. | :28:14.
smile. It is joy. It is, the first dance we did took six days to learn | :28:15. | :28:19.
the first ten seconds today, two hours and we have almost gone | :28:20. | :28:25.
through it. Little neural pathways. They are starting to build. It is | :28:26. | :28:30.
amazing. You are surprising yourself. Keep it up. | :28:31. | :28:39.
A big thank you to all of our guests. | :28:40. | :28:44.
Join me tomorrow when I'll be chatting to Peter | :28:45. | :28:46.
and Janette, and the couple who survived the dastardly dance off, | :28:47. | :28:49.
And we'll be finding out what our couples will be dancing to | :28:50. | :28:55. |
