Live from London, this is Strictly programme Max -- It Takes Two!

:00:00.:01:13.

Please welcome your host, Zoe Ball! CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

:01:14.:01:33.

We have got a very busy night tonight, rest your legs.

:01:34.:01:35.

Welcome to our It Takes Two double bubble of fun.

:01:36.:01:38.

We're with you for the next hour, and our green room is chock full

:01:39.:01:41.

of beautiful faces tonight, my friends.

:01:42.:01:43.

Harry Judd, Sophie Raworth and Richard Osman.

:01:44.:01:53.

That is one very good-looking green room.

:01:54.:02:00.

Of course, tonight is also Children In Need night,

:02:01.:02:03.

and Pudsey is our very special guest of honour.

:02:04.:02:06.

Throughout the show we will be looking back at some classic

:02:07.:02:11.

Children In Need Strictly moments and teasing you with exclusives

:02:12.:02:13.

So excited about it, I really am! We can't wait!

:02:14.:02:30.

Classic Children In Need fun and frolics.

:02:31.:02:32.

And we have the ravishing Joanne Clifton at Elstree Studios.

:02:33.:02:35.

This week I'm going to be your pro in the know here at Elstree.

:02:36.:02:45.

If you take a close look behind me, you will see Jeremy and Karen

:02:46.:02:52.

rehearsing. Tomorrow they are dancing the quick step to Going

:02:53.:02:58.

Underground by The Jam. I think we have everything in place for a full

:02:59.:03:10.

-- fun filled night, Helen, Aljaz, Georgia, the stars of the Children

:03:11.:03:13.

in Need Strictly special. We are all set, back to you for now, Zoe.

:03:14.:03:18.

Now, Sunday night was the first time in weeks

:03:19.:03:20.

It's onwards and upwards for Jamelia and Tristan!

:03:21.:03:38.

# The only way is up... # Work it, you too might! Welcome to

:03:39.:04:05.

the show, they are a lively bunch! No dance-off at the weekend! What a

:04:06.:04:13.

relief! How happy were you? I was surprised, because you were like,

:04:14.:04:17.

hang on, we are not in the bottom two? I have to tell you something

:04:18.:04:23.

that happened, we could see the band, and the guy who was the head

:04:24.:04:29.

of the band, David Arch, he had the music for Trouble up on his piano,

:04:30.:04:33.

so we were like, oh well, he is getting ready. Even the band thought

:04:34.:04:41.

you were going! When they said our name, we were like, what?! It must

:04:42.:04:47.

be so brilliant, do not have to do that again. It was such a lovely

:04:48.:04:52.

feeling, I think it is more the fact that people voted for us to stay.

:04:53.:05:00.

Yeah, right? Thank you! Your second highest score that you have had, 28,

:05:01.:05:05.

a really moving Viennese waltz, and you looked quite surprised when the

:05:06.:05:15.

judges gave you the lovely sevens. I fell during the middle of the dance,

:05:16.:05:20.

I forgot half of the routine, but they didn't notice, so it is fine!

:05:21.:05:29.

We kind of blank it from here. Who left the kids are lying there?!

:05:30.:05:37.

Tristan, was that your body? -- the guitar. Three times in the

:05:38.:05:41.

dance-off, that must be hard, so it is good to have a boost, put you in

:05:42.:05:47.

a better frame of mind. I suppose so, do you know what? That was the

:05:48.:05:52.

one... It sounds a bit bad, but that was the one that I did want to do,

:05:53.:05:57.

the one dance-off, because the scores were great, I don't know how

:05:58.:06:03.

we got them, to be honest with you, but the scores were great, the stuff

:06:04.:06:08.

we worked on was good. But in terms of the dance itself, I really wanted

:06:09.:06:13.

to do it again. I think we both did, which is really weird. Don't wish

:06:14.:06:20.

for it too much! About this week is the samba, we're looking forward to

:06:21.:06:26.

that. And being voted through! The judges were very complimentary as

:06:27.:06:30.

well. The only thing was they said more arch in the back, and obviously

:06:31.:06:35.

the guitar case scenario. Did you feel a bit of a boost? Do you feel

:06:36.:06:40.

your confidence growing on the dance floor? Apart from falling over, I

:06:41.:06:44.

just genuinely feel that the fact that we are still here, it is mind

:06:45.:06:49.

blowing, I really thought I would be gone by week three. My gosh, maybe I

:06:50.:06:56.

am meant to be here! You wait, Jamelia, when you win... You first

:06:57.:07:00.

came to our attention as a performer, as a pop star. When you

:07:01.:07:05.

look back at your music videos, there was a lot of impressive

:07:06.:07:07.

choreography. Check this. What?! That is like looking at an old

:07:08.:07:38.

school photo! If you watch that video, I am out of time there as

:07:39.:07:45.

well! Brilliant! Tristan, you remember that? I remember the video,

:07:46.:07:51.

I didn't know that was you. Jamelia, Tristan, can you do that and move?

:07:52.:08:00.

No. I have since found out that that is not dancing, definitely not. Did

:08:01.:08:05.

all those moves come naturally to you? What I've found is that a lot

:08:06.:08:10.

of my dancing and experience that I thought I had was all top half of

:08:11.:08:14.

the body, nothing to do with footwork. We found that out in the

:08:15.:08:19.

worst way possible, live to the nation. Getting better, though! It

:08:20.:08:28.

is a prom night samba, I have been told, can you give us a little

:08:29.:08:31.

teaser of what we might expect? That! Kind of that, look at my

:08:32.:08:44.

socks, exactly. What sucks?! -- socks. Our PA hates it when Jay

:08:45.:08:54.

wears socks with shorts. Why is one rolled up, one trouser leg? I kept

:08:55.:09:02.

tripping on it. I kept tripping up over it. It looks a bit weird. When

:09:03.:09:09.

it is rolled up, it kind of looks like leggings. It is Friday! Would

:09:10.:09:15.

you say you preferred the Latin to the ballroom, Jamelia? Definitely,

:09:16.:09:20.

because of that reason, because you get to use your top of a little bit

:09:21.:09:25.

more. With the ballroom it is all... Rigid, uncomfortable. Are you

:09:26.:09:31.

liking the samba? I am loving it, loving the theme, prom night, it is

:09:32.:09:39.

fun, I love it. And how is the bouncing? I don't know! It is good.

:09:40.:09:48.

We learned yesterday from your tete-a-tete with passion that your

:09:49.:09:51.

past jobs have included being a landscape gardener, working in

:09:52.:09:58.

banking, and he was an electrician. Have any of them inspired anything

:09:59.:10:01.

in your dancing or in any routines are along the way? No. In the bank,

:10:02.:10:09.

I had to sell life insurance, so that doesn't really count. I had to

:10:10.:10:14.

dig deep in the garden, probably digging deep a little bit now. I am

:10:15.:10:21.

only joking! Do you know what? I loved all them jobs. You are good at

:10:22.:10:29.

this one. He is very good. And I am loving it even more now. Why do some

:10:30.:10:33.

people sued ballroom more than Latin? And do you have a

:10:34.:10:40.

preference? No, not really. For me, certainly, all the songs, if I hear

:10:41.:10:44.

a song I do not know, I know if I like it or not. When you are

:10:45.:10:48.

starting with someone that you really enjoy, not that you try

:10:49.:10:55.

harder, but you are already in a good mood, and with the Latin ones,

:10:56.:10:58.

you have a chance of dancing on your own, like you do at home. When it

:10:59.:11:03.

comes to ballroom... You are saying you can dance without me. This is

:11:04.:11:09.

going well! If you get through this weekend, hopefully you will be on

:11:10.:11:21.

your way to Blackpool, how exciting! To reach Blackpool would be

:11:22.:11:28.

amazing, I would probably burst. That may well happen, best of luck

:11:29.:11:32.

this week, we love you, Jamelia and Tristan!

:11:33.:11:37.

follows an array of different love stories.

:11:38.:11:40.

But will the course of Strictly love run smoothly, I wonder?

:11:41.:11:51.

This will definitely pull at your heartstrings, it is romantic, it is

:11:52.:11:59.

about chance, fate and love. There is a lot of different types of

:12:00.:12:03.

dancing, salsa, mambo, American smooth. We are trying to mix it up,

:12:04.:12:10.

do something different, tell a different story, that is the

:12:11.:12:15.

difficulty. Karren Brady likes her co-worker, Brendan, but he is

:12:16.:12:23.

proposing to Oti. Apparently she is in love with me, but I am in love

:12:24.:12:29.

with Oti. I am sad that you are proposing to somebody else, we are

:12:30.:12:34.

both married! It is getting complicated. Love can mean some

:12:35.:12:39.

different things to different people. Love is all-encompassing. It

:12:40.:12:44.

is the way that somebody makes you feel. Just sitting on the couch

:12:45.:12:50.

watching TV. A hot cup of tea with my wife next to me. Love is so many

:12:51.:12:55.

things, that is why dancing is the best way to express it, you cannot

:12:56.:13:04.

put it into words. Tune in this weekend to see if we have a love

:13:05.:13:07.

story on our hands or a Shakespearean tragedy. Shall we take

:13:08.:13:15.

a peek behind the velvet curtain of the Strictly rehearsals? Yes, I

:13:16.:13:20.

spied Joanne Clifton. Thanks, Zoe. Earlier today I saw Jay and Aliona

:13:21.:13:27.

practising in the studio, they are doing a foxtrot to Sam Smith's Lay

:13:28.:13:32.

Me Down, and there is a lot of basic steps, which is quite difficult. He

:13:33.:13:38.

looks very cool, very smooth and collected, I am looking forward to

:13:39.:13:45.

it. Now, with me I am joined by the gorgeous George and Giovanni, Helen

:13:46.:13:49.

and Aljaz. Nice to see you with your clothes on! OK, so, Helen, OK,

:13:50.:13:56.

earlier this week Aljaz said that the tango was one of the easiest to

:13:57.:14:02.

teach, but how about learning it? It hasn't been that easy to learn,

:14:03.:14:06.

because he has put all the tango steps that exist into our downs.

:14:07.:14:12.

Invented some new ones as well. I will be interested to see that.

:14:13.:14:16.

Yours includes a lot of hats, tell us a little bit about that, what is

:14:17.:14:21.

it like? It has not been easy, it has fallen off a few times this

:14:22.:14:25.

week. Still good. O'Dell Giovanni any good? I think I am better. Why

:14:26.:14:35.

don't we give it a go? Take this hat, not the actual had... Nice! Is

:14:36.:14:49.

that it?! There you go, that is much better, that is much better. Aljaz,

:14:50.:14:54.

OK, last week there was a bit of a shock, Kevin and Kellie in the

:14:55.:15:02.

dance-off, what has that done to the mood? It can happen to anyone, and

:15:03.:15:07.

we know it was a massive shock, because they did a brilliant job

:15:08.:15:11.

with the waltz. We were close to them on the leaderboard after the

:15:12.:15:16.

judges' scores, so before we were called, I was a little bit petrified

:15:17.:15:20.

that we might be joining them, but it shows you that we have to do our

:15:21.:15:24.

best and, you know, just hope for the best. If we don't get through,

:15:25.:15:33.

smash it in the dance-off. It means nobody's safe. We are safe here.

:15:34.:15:40.

Helen your Call The Midwife stars are taking to floor in the Children

:15:41.:15:44.

in Need special. Have you given them any advice. I don't knowly I could.

:15:45.:15:50.

They have done so well. They have done so well. I'm proud. Really

:15:51.:15:55.

proud. We are excited to see it. Good luck tomorrow. Back to you,

:15:56.:15:58.

Zoe. More from Joanne a little later on.

:15:59.:16:02.

:20:00.:20:03.

of this year's Children In Need Strictly special featuring

:20:04.:20:05.

Now, you may have recognised some of our Friday panel amongst those

:20:06.:20:10.

Please welcome Harry Judd, Sophie Raworth and Richard Osman!

:20:11.:20:13.

I never heard so many. Congratulations our it takes Two

:20:14.:20:30.

viewers voted you best male winner ever. What does that mean tow yo? It

:20:31.:20:36.

means a lot. Thank you. See you there at Children in Need, dancing

:20:37.:20:42.

with Ola, that is where it began? Yes, my journey was Strictly. It was

:20:43.:20:46.

terrifying to look back and see myself looking awkward and trying to

:20:47.:20:51.

perform and dry mouth. It was the beginning and a lot of happy

:20:52.:20:57.

memories. You went on to win and come peopled under water for under

:20:58.:21:05.

water strictly, that was surreal. Sophie, some funny memories for you,

:21:06.:21:11.

the news readers dancing. Everyone says who frightening sfribgt live

:21:12.:21:17.

it. -- Strictly it. I have never been so frightened. Ian said I can

:21:18.:21:21.

feel your heartbeating. We only had four days to practice and they

:21:22.:21:25.

didn't tell us until the day before they were going to judge us

:21:26.:21:30.

individually. That was mean. Suzanna Reid went on the win. You have not

:21:31.:21:38.

spoken since! Richard, watching that go on, are you tempted to take the

:21:39.:21:44.

dance floor yourself? Come on Richard. I would say to give you a

:21:45.:21:51.

percentage, maybe zero. They both told you how terrifying it was. I

:21:52.:21:55.

was talking to Harry, I said if I did it I would want to win and I

:21:56.:21:59.

don't think there is any possibility that would happen. So I would feel

:22:00.:22:05.

gutted. Who would you dance with? Anton. He is very good. Natalie

:22:06.:22:12.

always has the... You talk about strictly a lot on seeshl media --

:22:13.:22:20.

social media what do you love about it. Is competitive, but everyone

:22:21.:22:24.

enjoys themselves and there doesn't seem to be any back-biting and it is

:22:25.:22:29.

glamorous and you see people getting better and better. But I love

:22:30.:22:35.

watching people like Jeremy Vine. I can't care that people can't dance.

:22:36.:22:39.

He could win. You don't know. Then he will be tempted. Here are our

:22:40.:22:45.

couples in training and first Anita and Gleb and their quickstep.

:22:46.:22:51.

They're dancing to The Pretenders. That is what I dance to for my

:22:52.:22:57.

quickstep. I never heard this song, but I love it. It is a great song to

:22:58.:23:03.

dance to. They're looking great and very in time. It is a hard dance.

:23:04.:23:09.

You're bigging yourself up. It is really hard. You have got to be a

:23:10.:23:15.

pro to do that. It was the one I'm scared about, it can feel weird

:23:16.:23:18.

running about and hopping and kicking. But I love it. You know

:23:19.:23:23.

people talk about the frame has to be solid and you're doing this jazzy

:23:24.:23:27.

stuff. Yes. So I was glad to have it later on in the competition. But

:23:28.:23:32.

they're looking great. She is brilliant. I think they're both very

:23:33.:23:37.

good. I'm not going to go there. I won't fall for that. They're both

:23:38.:23:43.

good and anoo that has done well. -- Anita has done well. She has got

:23:44.:23:48.

better and better. She looks so confident. I'm happy to except on

:23:49.:23:55.

Gleb. He is unbelievable isn't he? He is kind of annoying. Your

:23:56.:24:02.

favourite Gleb move? He can do anything. A slow blink. George and

:24:03.:24:08.

Giovanni. They're doing a Charleston. If you look at this you

:24:09.:24:13.

will agree it is going to be brilliant. Great swivel going on

:24:14.:24:17.

there. Sophie, what do you think about them? They have been brilliant

:24:18.:24:21.

from the start. Every week they have been fabtastic. I -- fantastic. A

:24:22.:24:30.

combas A gasp from the injury and she is doing it in her slippers. I

:24:31.:24:36.

like the underdogs more. They look very impressive. When you get back

:24:37.:24:41.

down the the last four, you think, they're amazing. I'm looking for

:24:42.:24:46.

entertainment at the moment. I will deal with them in a few weeks time.

:24:47.:24:59.

I know they're staying in. Peter and Jeanette have a Viennese waltz to

:25:00.:25:04.

Cilla Black. Peter look at him. Harpry what do you think? He is

:25:05.:25:10.

solid, Peter. He is not short of a great performance. That kind of rise

:25:11.:25:16.

and fall needs to be a bit smoother. In my opinion. He is a champion. He

:25:17.:25:21.

knows his stuff. Peter is solid and he is a great performer and you can

:25:22.:25:29.

expect good stuff from him. He has topped the leaderboard. I agree with

:25:30.:25:32.

the underdogs. I was going with Carol. I had a bet with her and I

:25:33.:25:39.

lost it. We miss her already. She was wonderful and I was supporting

:25:40.:25:44.

her and she did it with such good grace. I bet her she would be in to

:25:45.:25:50.

midway through. That is why she got knocked out to get the money. Now

:25:51.:25:57.

Jamelia and Tristan, they will be doing a Samba to Erasure. You

:25:58.:26:02.

probably know that move. I have no idea. The Samba was terrifying. I

:26:03.:26:07.

found it really hard. It is so technical and lots going on. I

:26:08.:26:14.

should let Richard take over. You're a massive Jamelia fan. You said you

:26:15.:26:19.

love her so much and if she gets quicked out I will console her. How?

:26:20.:26:28.

I may have been drinking. I'm a huge fan, but having met Tristan he is

:26:29.:26:32.

lovely. Now they're very much my favourites. You have got the Osman

:26:33.:26:38.

vote tomorrow, Jamelia and Tristan. Let's look at Jeremy and Karen.

:26:39.:26:48.

They're diamond miners... Doing a quickstep to Going Underground by

:26:49.:26:51.

The Jam. What do you think of your mate. I have known him for such a

:26:52.:26:57.

long time. I never knew he had such long legs. I want him to stay until

:26:58.:27:01.

the end. I would love him to win. It would be brilliant. He is enjoying

:27:02.:27:05.

it. That is what I love is people who go on and doesn't matter how

:27:06.:27:09.

well or badly they do, they are loving it and he is loving it.

:27:10.:27:14.

Couldn't believe when he said he was doing it. When he told me I was

:27:15.:27:20.

worried. Do you want to do it? He has been a raef lacing. "--

:27:21.:27:26.

revelation. You have got to be somebody representing the people who

:27:27.:27:29.

can't actually dance and all the lovely show from everyone else. So

:27:30.:27:32.

fingers crossed he gets through. What do you think of Jeremy? Yes,

:27:33.:27:37.

the show is about fun and family and everyone having a good time and

:27:38.:27:41.

Jeremy brings that kind of light-hearted nature to it. I met

:27:42.:27:47.

him at the training room. He lives around the corner. It is great to

:27:48.:27:51.

see people enjoying themselves. It is a great show and he sums up that

:27:52.:27:57.

fun side. Thank you so much. If you like the music you're hearing, check

:27:58.:28:01.

out the Strictly play list on the web-site. More from our panel later

:28:02.:28:13.

on. Show them sov love. Now for a real treat. While rummaging through

:28:14.:28:18.

the Children in Need archives, we came across this little gem. Keep

:28:19.:28:24.

your eyes peeled for Sophie over there, Miss Carol Kirkwood and do

:28:25.:28:28.

not miss Jeremy Vine. This is brilliant. I remember this. # Listen

closely. But not for very much longer # Let's do the time warp

again! # It's just a jump to the left and then a step to the right #

:29:01.:29:14.

Newsnight I'm one hell of a lover! Jeremy Vine! That was quite

:29:15.:29:20.

incredible. Well done Sophie. So brilliant. It was Sophie, Carol and

:29:21.:29:29.

Jeremy in 2002. I was loving to Pudsey that our celebrities and

:29:30.:29:33.

dancers are humans and like to air their thoughts on social media. This

:29:34.:29:39.

was a bit like top of the popsing. Top of the Pops. And Kellie said

:29:40.:29:46.

guess who I found in my house. Kevin Clifton chilling in The Vic. Ally

:29:47.:29:55.

shared a photo of them saying tired of dancing inside. And don't forget

:29:56.:30:00.

Children in Need tonight. What is in store? Thank you very much. You can

:30:01.:30:08.

catch all of this tonight on BBC1. Rod Stewart, One Direction, see Lena

:30:34.:30:39.

cast of Call The Midwife are the latest stars to take to the ballroom

:30:40.:30:41.

and here is a peak. will be dancing in Call The Midwife

:30:42.:30:49.

Does Strictly, and I believe she is with

:30:50.:31:03.

some of the guys now. Here with me now are two of the

:31:04.:31:08.

Call The Midwife stars competing for the Pudsey Glitter Ball trophy,

:31:09.:31:11.

Laura Main and Jack Ashton. Hello, guys! Tell me all about it,

:31:12.:31:26.

how was your Strictly experience? My goodness, it was so exciting, this

:31:27.:31:30.

is my fiver and show, so to have a little go at it was just superb.

:31:31.:31:37.

Were you nervous? It was absolutely terrifying, but you have got to

:31:38.:31:40.

remember why you are doing it, Children in Need, so we just tried

:31:41.:31:45.

to put on a good show. I was absolutely petrified, I have to say.

:31:46.:31:51.

What was your favourite thing about it, the practising, the costumes,

:31:52.:31:55.

the tanning? Definitely the tanning! It is the first time I have ever had

:31:56.:32:00.

a spray tan, I promise, and I went in, and they said, it is very

:32:01.:32:04.

discreet, they will tell you what to do. I went in, and Aljaz was in

:32:05.:32:09.

there with Vanessa Feltz and a whole film crew doing a live spray tan. I

:32:10.:32:18.

was standing in my pink pants, in my manly pants, yeah, and the door was

:32:19.:32:22.

open the whole time, because people were coming and going, it was pretty

:32:23.:32:27.

embarrassing. Well done for getting through that. How inspired were you

:32:28.:32:33.

by your co-star, Helen George? She is amazing, and week after week, she

:32:34.:32:38.

is just absolutely brilliant, a total inspiration, and she has been

:32:39.:32:42.

so encouraging, giving us loads of tips, nice to be in her world. We

:32:43.:32:47.

are all massively behind her, we think she is going to do very well,

:32:48.:32:53.

and she deserves it. The Strictly audience for the special were all

:32:54.:32:57.

children, tell me about that, how was it? It was amazing, I do not

:32:58.:33:02.

think they were allowed to see the main show, for them, they are

:33:03.:33:08.

massive fines were just around the building all day, so excited. --

:33:09.:33:13.

fans. They were asking us to sign stuff, you could see them running up

:33:14.:33:17.

to their favourite dancers, it was awesome. Thank you for answering my

:33:18.:33:23.

questions, watch all the action tonight on BBC One. Thank you, Jo,

:33:24.:33:27.

good luck to Jack and Laura, I can't wait! Lets hope they all deliver.

:33:28.:33:34.

Now, with Blackpool just around the corner,

:33:35.:33:36.

rehearsals have become ever more intense.

:33:37.:33:37.

Let's see how Jeremy and Peter are getting along.

:33:38.:33:42.

This Viennese waltz was so graceful, so beautiful, I have got goose

:33:43.:33:51.

bumps. When we get into that, oh, my God, beautiful! He is really feeling

:33:52.:33:55.

the emotion that he needs to feel to do a lovely and big romantic

:33:56.:34:00.

Viennese waltz. I understand. Perfect. I am allowed to smile and

:34:01.:34:05.

give that a lovely and big romantic Viennese waltz. I understand.

:34:06.:34:07.

Perfect. I am allowed to smile and give that emotion hop! In the sense

:34:08.:34:21.

of picking up woodwork, you should be OK. I know I can do that, it is

:34:22.:34:24.

driving me nuts. I really want to perform this, not just get these

:34:25.:34:26.

steps right. We always have apps and downs, but

:34:27.:34:30.

the upside getting longer than the downs. -- the ups are getting longer

:34:31.:34:42.

than the downs. I have listened very closely to the judges. It is easier

:34:43.:34:48.

than I make it look. Absolutely! The key things I need to work on my arms

:34:49.:34:54.

and legs. If it feels comfortable, you are doing it wrong. We are

:34:55.:34:58.

making sure his steps are nice and small so that everything will be

:34:59.:35:02.

there, just the way that the judges want. I love that, if it is

:35:03.:35:07.

comfortable, it is not right. Their stylish 42nd Street

:35:08.:35:11.

quickstep oozed so much glamour and sophistication,

:35:12.:35:13.

it almost caused a traffic jam. # Oh, heaven is a place on earth...

:35:14.:35:41.

# .

:35:42.:35:47.

Hello! The Queen of the Proms, the king of ballroom! I loved your 42nd

:35:48.:35:58.

St, frock of the week last week, come on! She is very kind to you,

:35:59.:36:04.

Vicky, she likes you. Was it a dream, did you have fun? Yes, the

:36:05.:36:09.

hat and cane, I have always wanted to do that, I have always wanted to

:36:10.:36:14.

be in a musical, it was lovely. Really enjoyed it, loved it. Did you

:36:15.:36:21.

enjoy it, Anton? Enormously, it is such a great number to do. I cannot

:36:22.:36:27.

talk while I am watching! I always look good! I know it is me! The hat

:36:28.:36:38.

and a cane, I love a bit of that, and it was so great to pull it off,

:36:39.:36:45.

or attempt to pull it off, I knew I could do it! -- or attempt to pull

:36:46.:36:53.

it off. But I was so pleased, you are standing there, and the most

:36:54.:36:58.

nervous thing is the beginning, dancing the quickstep, Katie Derham,

:36:59.:37:06.

oh, my goodness! Then the music comes in, and because it was so

:37:07.:37:11.

musical and really timed and accented, and everything had to be

:37:12.:37:15.

together, you can get a bit nervous. It was so good, I was so thrilled

:37:16.:37:19.

with it when I watched it back, it looked so clean, I was thrilled,

:37:20.:37:25.

well done, well done. The judges praised you, Katie, saying how good

:37:26.:37:33.

you were at taking on the complex choreography. That was not easy, was

:37:34.:37:39.

it difficult to learn? It was very complicated, but we enjoyed every

:37:40.:37:43.

minute. As I said on the night, it did not all go according to plan,

:37:44.:37:48.

but there was a lot to pack in. What went well, I loved doing it, I did

:37:49.:37:53.

enjoy it, and I enjoyed learning the routine, and I would quite like to

:37:54.:37:58.

do it again! That is what Tristan was saying, he was disappointed

:37:59.:38:04.

about not being in the dance-off. I didn't understand a word of that!

:38:05.:38:07.

There were some dancers I never wanted to do again. You did give a

:38:08.:38:13.

really complex choreography, you have great confidence in Katie's

:38:14.:38:19.

capability? I do, because I think she is amazing, and she looks

:38:20.:38:24.

amazing. And the thing about the choreography is that you get one go

:38:25.:38:31.

to do it on the night. Sometimes you can go a bit wrong, and I do not

:38:32.:38:35.

think that is the end of the world, really, as long as the performance

:38:36.:38:39.

is good, and Katie's performance was great. Do it again and you will not

:38:40.:38:44.

go wrong, so there is a lot going on. But I knew she could pull it

:38:45.:38:54.

off, and she did. Gorges. -- gorgeous.

:38:55.:38:57.

In your newspaper column last week you said that,

:38:58.:38:59.

"Dancing your heart out in public is an emotional business,

:39:00.:39:02.

and I refuse to get downhearted." How emotional does it get?

:39:03.:39:04.

Yes, because I have worked in this funny old business for a while, I

:39:05.:39:10.

have done quite a lot of live telly, I knew would would be no

:39:11.:39:14.

bragging, but I did not know how much we care. -- I knew it would be

:39:15.:39:24.

nerve wracking. It is such a treat being on the show that sometimes you

:39:25.:39:28.

get giddy when it goes well and you get down when it doesn't. Quite

:39:29.:39:34.

surprisingly emotional. But that is all part of it. Have you had a

:39:35.:39:40.

little cry, Anton? Can't stop weeping! The thing is, when you are

:39:41.:39:49.

doing news, you have got great composure, Katie Derham, and do you

:39:50.:39:54.

ever have moments when you just think, I want to let it all out?

:39:55.:40:00.

Definitely, doing news stories with children, but that is not your job.

:40:01.:40:05.

This, we have to show emotion, you are expressing lots of emotion, so

:40:06.:40:09.

it is a new world, but it is lovely, it is good for us. Good to let it

:40:10.:40:15.

all out, everybody should be able to have a go with Anton, frankly! That

:40:16.:40:19.

might have come out, everybody should be able to have a go with

:40:20.:40:21.

Anton, frankly! That might have, slightly wrong! Your dance last week

:40:22.:40:28.

did cause quickstep fever in the training rooms, check this out.

:40:29.:40:47.

That is it! That is it. Genius! If you need some rumba... Learning from

:40:48.:41:27.

the master! Or duty to anyone to quickstep? I think I had a head

:41:28.:41:34.

start with Gleb, he is sort of handy, do you know what I mean? Come

:41:35.:41:43.

on, Sue, into the arms of Anton du Beke. Now, you're going to start

:41:44.:41:48.

with this foot over here, and you are going to go, one, two, three,

:41:49.:41:51.

four... CHEERING

:41:52.:42:24.

Thank you very much! Thank you, Katie, it is the rumba for you two

:42:25.:42:32.

tomorrow. She might have vertigo! How has training gone? We have had a

:42:33.:42:36.

lovely week, I sort of surprised myself, I really enjoyed this. I

:42:37.:42:47.

know... He says you have definitely got the legs for a rumba. You are

:42:48.:42:51.

pleased with this one. It is a really classical rumba, it is not

:42:52.:42:57.

all bump and grind, we went for something classy and sophisticated.

:42:58.:43:01.

I wanted to work very strongly on technique and leg action, because

:43:02.:43:06.

you have got the best legs. Feeling a little exposed now! I think it has

:43:07.:43:12.

come off wonderfully, Katie has done a tremendous job, it is really

:43:13.:43:16.

stylish, showing strong technique in the rumba. Fingers crossed! Can't

:43:17.:43:25.

wait! It will be emotional. Fingers crossed you get to go to Blackpool,

:43:26.:43:37.

Katie and Anton! Are you all right, Sue? She has just about pulled it

:43:38.:43:39.

back! The EastEnders cast

:43:40.:43:41.

have always given their all when it comes to a super

:43:42.:43:43.

Children In Need dance. This year they have a humdinger

:43:44.:43:46.

in store for you. Today we are housing the big dance

:43:47.:43:59.

for Children in Need by the cast of EastEnders. -- we are rehearsing. It

:44:00.:44:05.

is like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. It is very glitzy and

:44:06.:44:11.

glamorous, you do not see that much an EastEnders. I am so excited about

:44:12.:44:19.

it, I really am! Shona is a dark horse, she has got some tricks up

:44:20.:44:25.

her sleeve. They are saying, graceful, arms, head, not popping

:44:26.:44:31.

and locking. Seeing Harry dancing is hilarious, he has been doing it in a

:44:32.:44:43.

bobble hat. I think Bonnie is just fantastic! It is lovely to get to

:44:44.:44:48.

dance with some people that I don't even do seems with. I love this

:44:49.:44:52.

routine, because I get the chance to be lifted in the air by some lovely

:44:53.:45:02.

men! Trying to get the move right and my feet right is difficult.

:45:03.:45:09.

These guys do it so easily and I'm, no, I can't do it. I've a cheeky tap

:45:10.:45:18.

number. I get flipped upside down! You're the final piece that is going

:45:19.:45:24.

to look pretty spectacular. To do something for Children in Need is

:45:25.:45:29.

fantastic opportunity. I'm looking forward to it. Looks incredible. I

:45:30.:45:39.

can't wait. It has been back to Elstree where Joanne is putting on

:45:40.:45:43.

the glitz in wardrobe. This week we're puttin' on

:45:44.:45:48.

the glitz live from Vicky's Gill's

:45:49.:45:50.

second home here in wardrobe. What have you got in store

:45:51.:45:52.

for us this week? This is Jeanette's dress. I'm so

:45:53.:46:01.

jealous of this dress I wanted to get married in it. Janet sees it as

:46:02.:46:09.

a princess dress. It looks like one. I love the skirt. Obviously Jeanette

:46:10.:46:18.

is so petite we have to be careful it doesn't take her over. I'm taking

:46:19.:46:23.

that dress. This is Karen's dress for their quickstep. It is so full

:46:24.:46:31.

of crystals. The pros are getting their fair share of crystals. It is

:46:32.:46:37.

jam packed. Is it to do with the dance? Yes they're Going

:46:38.:46:44.

Underground. They're in a diamond mine. Very serious. I can't... What

:46:45.:46:51.

is Zoe wearing? I don't know. What do you want? All right let's move on

:46:52.:46:58.

to this. This is stunning. This is Katie's dress for her rumba. Yes.

:46:59.:47:05.

Tell me about the fabric. This is one of my favourites. We have smooth

:47:06.:47:11.

velvet on the base and lots of stretch so it there be lots of

:47:12.:47:16.

movement. We have crystals around the bust and the neck and we have

:47:17.:47:23.

red running down the back. We may have crystals tomorrow. It is the

:47:24.:47:28.

kind of Latin dress I like. Very high split. And very classy. Hello.

:47:29.:47:36.

We have Jeanette here. I'm jealous of your dress. I love my dress. It

:47:37.:47:41.

is so beautiful. I love my dresses every week. Let's look at it again.

:47:42.:47:46.

I think I get to be lucky every week. I love my dresses. I walk in

:47:47.:47:54.

every Friday and I go, I love it! I'm letting you know that you're

:47:55.:47:59.

going to dance once in that and I'm going to take it home. That is fine.

:48:00.:48:04.

I will take it back. Thank you so much. I can't wait to see the show.

:48:05.:48:07.

Back to you Zoe. Thank you, Jo. If you're hungry for more

:48:08.:48:14.

backstage gossip, then click on our website

:48:15.:48:16.

and sign up to the Strictly Mail. Harry Judd, Sophie Raworth

:48:17.:48:19.

and Richard Osman! This week their doing a tango. Harry

:48:20.:48:44.

you were brilliant at it. Is Helen good? Yes, she is one of my

:48:45.:48:49.

favourites and looking like she is nailing it. Sharp lines. Is she down

:48:50.:48:55.

in the knees enough? I won't get too technical, but she is looking great

:48:56.:49:01.

and she is one of my favourites. Sophie do you watch Call The

:49:02.:49:06.

Midwife? A bit. A bit? It is the opening titles and then... The end

:49:07.:49:14.

titles. What do you think of Helen? She has been beautiful from the

:49:15.:49:17.

start and she is so e-Gant and a fan it is a is the -- elegant and a

:49:18.:49:24.

fantastic dancer. Richard is she a dark horse and could she win. Harry

:49:25.:49:30.

said she is doing a modern song Hold Back the River. You said a votes

:49:31.:49:35.

went down with a modern song. We were never aware of how many votes

:49:36.:49:41.

we got. But I felt the music was important in connecting with the

:49:42.:49:46.

dance and the audience. You're hearing it all week and you have got

:49:47.:49:50.

to enjoy the experience. That comes across. Are you a traditionalist? I

:49:51.:49:56.

found out I was. I didn't know. It first I thought I wanted to do the

:49:57.:50:02.

Latin stuff. Do you think doing a tango to modern music is difficult?

:50:03.:50:08.

I would not have the first clue. Thank you for your honesty. Let's

:50:09.:50:15.

say yes. Now Katie and Anton who were very excited about their rumba.

:50:16.:50:21.

We have seen her out-Fitna looks stunning. -- her out fit, that looks

:50:22.:50:32.

stunning and they're dancing to Shirley Bassey. Never, never, never.

:50:33.:50:40.

It is a slow build up. She is brilliant and classy and beautiful

:50:41.:50:43.

and dances beautifully. It has got to happen. And in a dress like the

:50:44.:50:46.

one she is wearing tomorrow, I think tomorrow's going to be her night.

:50:47.:50:53.

Harry, did you like the rumba? It is a tough one for the men and Katie's

:50:54.:50:57.

obviously got the hip action. That is the hard bit. Also slowly,

:50:58.:51:03.

because it is under the microscope. If you're doing a fast dance you can

:51:04.:51:09.

kind of get away it. The slower the harder. She looks like she is on the

:51:10.:51:15.

way. Do you like the rumba Richard? I would have called rumba. I will

:51:16.:51:24.

take it on, if Harry says rumba I say rum banana I love Anton he has

:51:25.:51:30.

been a star on the show. He is to me like Fulham, he has never won

:51:31.:51:33.

anything, but I would love him to. Maybe this year. Now Jay and Aliona,

:51:34.:51:46.

a foxtrot to Sam Smith's Lay Me down. He has been consistent, but

:51:47.:51:51.

they want more emotion from him. What do you think? He looks fairly

:51:52.:51:55.

emotional there. It is hard to be in a boy band and come on Strictly.

:51:56.:52:05.

They never do well. You would have to be a spectacular human being to

:52:06.:52:11.

combine the two. He is very good and let's see in a while. I loved his

:52:12.:52:17.

nerves at st start. He was so scared. He has built on that. Harry,

:52:18.:52:24.

how do you get the emotion through. You're not used to doing that. I was

:52:25.:52:30.

always behind the drums. I found the nerves I could hide behind the

:52:31.:52:34.

character in the dance. That is my way of hiding the nerves and

:52:35.:52:39.

focussing on the performance. I think watching Jay, he looks

:52:40.:52:43.

effortless. It almost, that maybe come across like he is not

:52:44.:52:46.

performing as much as people are saying. I think he is effortless and

:52:47.:52:52.

brilliant to watch. How do you bring emotion out in a foxtrot? It is not

:52:53.:53:00.

like the Charleston and the tango. That was the hardest bit. The

:53:01.:53:04.

adrenaline and everything feels so slow and you're so aware of every

:53:05.:53:08.

movement and the audience are there and the judges and you're freaking

:53:09.:53:11.

out, but trying to concentrate on your steps and you feel Auk toward

:53:12.:53:17.

and your -- awkward and your lips get stuck in your mouth. Don't put

:53:18.:53:22.

Richard off. It sounds great. The timing it hard, but he likes like he

:53:23.:53:29.

has got it down. Anyone liking Jay in the audience? Quite popular.

:53:30.:53:42.

Kellie and Kevin are doing a Samba to Boom Boom Shame The Room. Watch

:53:43.:53:52.

him go, Kev. Go on Kev! They're embracing this whole theme and going
