Gop one two and up. We're going to use our backs.

:00:18.:00:34.

Live from London, this is Strictly: It Takes Two! Please welcome your

:00:35.:01:22.

host, Zoe Ball. Hello and welcome to Strictly: It

:01:23.:01:33.

Takes Two. We are with you life for the next half-hour. Exciting stuff.

:01:34.:01:38.

Tonight we will be catching up with Katie and Anton, talking about their

:01:39.:01:42.

beautiful rumba last week. Vicky Gill will be giving us the gossip

:01:43.:01:48.

this weekend. The first time this series, the legendary ballet beauty

:01:49.:01:54.

judged Darcey Bussell is here. Russell will be getting up close and

:01:55.:02:03.

personal with dancers Ginette and Natalie. Santa has come early, the

:02:04.:02:07.

Strictly Christmas line-up has been revealed and we will be taking a

:02:08.:02:15.

closer look. First up, let's see how I need and Peter are getting on. --

:02:16.:02:23.

how Anita and Peter are getting on. I love the feel of this dance, the

:02:24.:02:27.

aggression and the passion. I spent a lot of time on the floor on this

:02:28.:02:34.

dance, sliding around on my bottom. I think I'll be bruised and battered

:02:35.:02:39.

before the week is out, for sure. You OK? I want to be able to do the

:02:40.:02:49.

best paso I can do and a paso that everybody watching will never

:02:50.:02:54.

forget. The jive is very fast paced, which I love, but there is a knot of

:02:55.:03:00.

-- a lot of footwork. You can't just get the moves, you've got to get

:03:01.:03:05.

them right. When I get it, it's going to be great! There's a lot to

:03:06.:03:13.

learn. No, it's a step on six. This one is completely different, it's

:03:14.:03:20.

down, up, down, up, head down... Oh! I aim to try and put all these bits

:03:21.:03:24.

together for this weekend. I'm looking forward to it. Well done,

:03:25.:03:31.

Peter. Fingers crossed. My head is still spinning from Anita hitting

:03:32.:03:35.

her head on the floor! Next up, she's going to help all the couples

:03:36.:03:40.

illuminate the strictly dance floor like Blackpool Tower this weekend.

:03:41.:03:49.

It's Vicky Gill, everybody! We've missed your giggle in the studio for

:03:50.:04:01.

the last couple of weeks. Your back. Strictly on tour, very exciting.

:04:02.:04:05.

What kind of added nightmares does this bring to you? It's just a lot

:04:06.:04:09.

very early on but they've done brilliantly. Big shout out for

:04:10.:04:14.

everybody working on the team. Such sterling work. We've got so much to

:04:15.:04:22.

get through. This is Katie's dress for the weekend in Blackpool. This

:04:23.:04:26.

is an absolutely stunning dress. By the way, her dress last week was

:04:27.:04:30.

incredible. One of your favourites, I'm not surprised. What can you tell

:04:31.:04:35.

us about this beauty? With our lovely Katie and and and, they are

:04:36.:04:41.

doing a ballroom number. We've been playing with the hemline of the

:04:42.:04:47.

skirt. This is going up about two thirds of the skirt. That's almost a

:04:48.:04:55.

bird! Serious feathers. We have mixed three ply boa. You've gone

:04:56.:05:05.

crazy! Because she's so tall and lovely, she can take that break.

:05:06.:05:13.

Crystals running through... The top line is not finished off at the

:05:14.:05:16.

moment because we're going to fit it tomorrow and then we've got Crystal

:05:17.:05:20.

Springs running around the back. So there will be a change, but

:05:21.:05:23.

essentially this is it. I can't wait! This is Helen's Charleston

:05:24.:05:29.

outfit. What is the inspiration behind this one? We're going to see

:05:30.:05:37.

many Helens on the floor at the weekend! The colour was from hell,

:05:38.:05:41.

we had a chat last week and for Blackpool we had a bit more time in

:05:42.:05:45.

preparation, so we've tried to grant colours where we can. It's not a

:05:46.:05:49.

typical Charleston dress but that's what they're going to be doing.

:05:50.:05:53.

We've made sure we've got lots of fringe on the bottom. Lots of

:05:54.:05:57.

ruffles, lots of wire through the ruffles. Just a bit fun really.

:05:58.:06:02.

She's had a haircut, it looks amazing. We are moving on to

:06:03.:06:12.

Janette's jive. Serious amounts of fringing is going on here. 45! There

:06:13.:06:20.

will be loads of movement. We may trim it down when we get to fittings

:06:21.:06:25.

but we won't lose a length. Very vibrant. I'm not sure it would have

:06:26.:06:31.

been a keynote colour but the group colour requires lots of primary

:06:32.:06:34.

colours so that is why we have yellow. Lots of movement, lots of

:06:35.:06:41.

sparkle and lots of fun really. Is he going to be wearing yellow? I do

:06:42.:06:48.

hope so! He would die! This is Anita's paso doble a outfit. You

:06:49.:06:55.

can't always request the colours but Anita did and she will be happy to

:06:56.:07:01.

know we said yes. We have some wide mesh over a base on the top.

:07:02.:07:05.

Crystals running through the whole thing to her top hip line. Pleated

:07:06.:07:13.

satin skirt and a long crystals it detailed down the back. It may

:07:14.:07:20.

change slightly by Saturday. Baby news, good luck to one of the girls

:07:21.:07:27.

on the team who is having her baby very soon.

:07:28.:07:30.

CHEERING The coach to Blackpool is waiting

:07:31.:07:37.

for you outside, Vicky. Off you go, bonfire

:07:38.:07:41.

-- off you go, bon voyage. We are live from the home of ballroom as

:07:42.:07:54.

strictly geared up to rock Blackpool. West life's Shane Filan

:07:55.:08:04.

and Nadine Coyle perform a stunning duet live in the studio.

:08:05.:08:08.

Thank you, hot lips. Craig called my next guest rumba and a bit

:08:09.:08:17.

melodramatic. Don't worry, he's just a rebel without a cause. It's Kate

:08:18.:08:19.

and Anton. Welcome Katie and Anton! I'm so

:08:20.:08:42.

excited I'm clapping myself! Why not? New look sensational on

:08:43.:08:45.

Saturday. Vicky was saying it was one of her favourite frocks. You

:08:46.:08:52.

wore it so well. You said you were concentrating on the technique and

:08:53.:08:56.

it certainly paid off. I was thrilled, I was so pleased. I was so

:08:57.:09:00.

thrilled that the judges made such nice comments because we had worked

:09:01.:09:06.

so hard on making it look classy and classic and sophisticated and really

:09:07.:09:13.

being in the moment. Katie pulled it off and I was absolutely delighted

:09:14.:09:16.

that the judges were really positive about it. I was so proud and

:09:17.:09:21.

thrilled with Katie. It's such a difficult dance, such a revealing

:09:22.:09:29.

dance. Especially in that dress! Did you enjoy it? You look like you were

:09:30.:09:36.

loving it out there. I really did. This week I just thought you know

:09:37.:09:40.

what, this is the most fantastic experience, a dance I've loved

:09:41.:09:44.

learning. I thought you know what, I'm just going to go out there and

:09:45.:09:49.

love it, and I did. Did you enjoy the passion? Look at you dancing

:09:50.:09:56.

with Anton. Look at those legs! And back she goes. Go on, touch the

:09:57.:10:08.

floor! Not many people can do that. Katie, did you enjoy that passionate

:10:09.:10:13.

side to it? Yeah, it was great. You've absolutely got to go for it

:10:14.:10:26.

in the rumba. As you put it pithily, no one wants to see us bump and

:10:27.:10:31.

grind. How do the points help you? It is lovely when you get a bit of

:10:32.:10:36.

recognition for doing a nice job. You tell yourself if it doesn't go

:10:37.:10:42.

well, never mind we enjoyed it. It's lovely when the judges like it! You

:10:43.:10:50.

worked so hard for that. Did your husband and the girls enjoy it? What

:10:51.:10:55.

did they think? I thought they might have been hiding behind the sofa but

:10:56.:10:59.

they were chuffed to bits. John was sitting there in the front row like

:11:00.:11:05.

this! When you're dancing that close to someone's wife... Izod, just

:11:06.:11:10.

stand over there a bit further away... It's your husband! Carreon

:11:11.:11:20.

ignore that... This week you are after Blackpool with this man in the

:11:21.:11:25.

dress we have just seen. It might be the best weekend you've ever had in

:11:26.:11:30.

your life! Well, after getting married! What can you tell me about

:11:31.:11:39.

the American... -- the American smooth. It's doing the American

:11:40.:11:46.

smooth in Blackpool, with Anton. He does love and American smooth. This

:11:47.:11:54.

is the music. What are you finding the hardest thing about this dance

:11:55.:11:59.

to master? It's been pretty much a joy from start to finish. I've got

:12:00.:12:04.

lots of boys to dance with. Several! LAUGHTER

:12:05.:12:13.

So four more pro-boys to dance with. I'm looking forward to having

:12:14.:12:17.

a bit more rehearsal with them tomorrow. We just haven't had much

:12:18.:12:26.

chance to practice. This is what you dream of that night, isn't it,

:12:27.:12:32.

Anton? Brush my teeth, top hat on, lovely! My toothbrush is a cane with

:12:33.:12:39.

a bit of brush on the end! I can so believe that! Sometimes in the

:12:40.:12:43.

changing room Anton forgets he has a partner. Anton has been working out

:12:44.:12:49.

the routine and I have been standing around trying to be helpful.

:12:50.:12:58.

If you're enjoying yourself, why stop him? I love it when your hair

:12:59.:13:21.

goes like that! When Anton is slightly undone, I love that. We all

:13:22.:13:26.

talk about how exciting that is. As a dancer, that sprung floor can do

:13:27.:13:31.

you have two choreographed it especially because it gives you that

:13:32.:13:34.

extra bounce? You didn't tell me about that! I wanted to save a bit

:13:35.:13:41.

of magic! Because it's a much bigger room and you've got more tee is --

:13:42.:13:51.

more tiers and it's just a wonderful and the sphere. You sweep across the

:13:52.:13:57.

floor and the crowd goes mad and everyone is singing and clapping

:13:58.:14:01.

their arms and everyone is going at the right time. And I am in a top

:14:02.:14:05.

hat and the boys go like! It will be an absolute standout.

:14:06.:14:21.

Good luck with it. Anton, stick around, I need to borrow your

:14:22.:14:24.

services to joke about the Christmas line-up. Oh really? Blackpool is

:14:25.:14:32.

bringing out the childlike wonder in our strictly stars. IN CHILDREN'S

:14:33.:14:44.

VOICES: Strictly is like a disco. Sometimes it makes me feel busy. I

:14:45.:14:51.

get to stay up past my bedtime. This is my paso doble face. In Blackpool

:14:52.:14:59.

there is a big tower. There's donkeys and ice creams. I'm excited

:15:00.:15:05.

to go because I've never been there before. How cute is that!

:15:06.:15:14.

Strange, but cute. Anton, you have laid the Christmas table. You are

:15:15.:15:20.

here because the Christmas line-up has been revealed. I need your

:15:21.:15:24.

expert opinion on our dance is. Do the honours. Our first contestant is

:15:25.:15:34.

Mr Harry Judd. He won in series nine with Aliona. He will be dancing with

:15:35.:15:38.

Joanne Clifton. What was so good about him? He was super. He had such

:15:39.:15:44.

quality about his dancing. He finished everything so well. There

:15:45.:15:50.

was never a hint that he was going to do wrong. He had great timing.

:15:51.:15:57.

What dance are they doing? We don't know. Well, he will be smart. Next,

:15:58.:16:06.

we have Abbey Clancy. She is back. She came first in series 11, dancing

:16:07.:16:12.

with Aljaz. This time, she is with Brendan Cole. How will that be for

:16:13.:16:21.

her? Frightening! Exciting. Brendan will not know what hit him. She was

:16:22.:16:25.

the most beautiful ballroom dancer apart from Katie Derham that we have

:16:26.:16:31.

ever had. I hope they do ballroom. Let's turn over another one. I am so

:16:32.:16:41.

glad she is coming back, Alison Hammond. This time, she is dancing

:16:42.:16:45.

with Robin Windsor. What do you think of them? That will be the most

:16:46.:16:51.

camp thing you have ever seen. I hope they do salsa or cha-cha. She

:16:52.:16:59.

can smash it up. Turn another one for me. It is Cassidy little. He is

:17:00.:17:11.

dancing in the Christmas special with Natalie. They got full marks

:17:12.:17:15.

for the paso doble. Will it be an advantage for him to dance with the

:17:16.:17:19.

same partner? It will be lovely, because it will be familiar, but he

:17:20.:17:23.

only danced one dance before, whereas the others have loads of

:17:24.:17:29.

experience. I am sure there will have a great time. He was super

:17:30.:17:33.

duper. It will be a tough competition. Two more to go. She is

:17:34.:17:40.

coming back, Lisa Snowdon. That is awkward, she danced with Brendan. It

:17:41.:17:46.

is all swapping. Lisa got incredible scores, 44 her quickstep, foxtrot

:17:47.:17:52.

and cha-cha. This time, she is dancing with Pasha. Could she get

:17:53.:17:57.

the trophy? Dancing with the hands Pasha? They will be very high on the

:17:58.:18:02.

leaderboard -- with the handsome Pasha. If she can still remember the

:18:03.:18:09.

moves. Finally, we have Mr Tom Chambers! He won series six. He is

:18:10.:18:25.

dancing with Oti Mabuse. How will he didn't? It was a long time ago that

:18:26.:18:30.

he was on the show. He has been busy doing various things and lots of

:18:31.:18:33.

shows with bouncing in them. He will be stylish. I remember his show

:18:34.:18:44.

dance the year he won. Thanks for doing this with me. I can't wait.

:18:45.:18:48.

Good luck in Blackpool, darling. Now, I have a file on all the

:18:49.:18:53.

professional dancers' past. The things I know about this man! Time

:18:54.:18:57.

to do delve into the filing cabinet for Janette and Natalie. Hello! I

:18:58.:19:05.

got us biscuits. The pink ones are the best. What was your big break?

:19:06.:19:17.

You were a banker? I was a banker! Did you ever think you would crack

:19:18.:19:22.

dancing professionally? I knew I loved performing, singing and

:19:23.:19:27.

dancing and acting, but music touched me more than anything else.

:19:28.:19:32.

It was hard for us in Miami. So I started working full-time as a

:19:33.:19:36.

banker, because I have always been good with numbers. But I had this

:19:37.:19:40.

gut feeling that this wasn't it for me, that there was something is

:19:41.:19:45.

coming. I never knew what it was, but I felt, this isn't it. I did an

:19:46.:19:49.

audition for so you think you can dance. And I got the job. When you

:19:50.:19:56.

are passionate about something and it resonates within you, you shine

:19:57.:20:07.

naturally. You are my favourite. What were you like as a kid? Were

:20:08.:20:12.

you girly? Did you like dresses and make up? I was really sporty, and

:20:13.:20:18.

girly. A little bit one of the boys, because my dad was a mechanic. I

:20:19.:20:22.

would doing grease and oil changes and helping dad clean the car. I

:20:23.:20:26.

didn't love school, because I was bullied as a child. The thing that

:20:27.:20:31.

kept me in school was my teachers and sport. I loved athletics. I

:20:32.:20:35.

loved the hundred metre sprint, high jump, long jump. Have I not been

:20:36.:20:40.

introduced to the dancing world, I would be doing some form of

:20:41.:20:45.

athletics. Amazing. So you did dancing with the stars in Australia,

:20:46.:20:49.

but how did you transition to the UK? Did you have to audition? I was

:20:50.:20:56.

introduced to try out for the UK or the USA, and I decided to come here.

:20:57.:20:59.

I love the tradition with Len Goodman and Bruce. Here is where it

:21:00.:21:04.

originated. So I came over here for eight hours. I didn't know the train

:21:05.:21:09.

system. I missed my meeting, which was really bad. But they saw me in

:21:10.:21:16.

the afternoon. So you flew in for eight hours and missed the meeting.

:21:17.:21:20.

Better late than never. I want to know what during

:21:21.:21:29.

saturation with these are. -- your infatuation. Why do you need to have

:21:30.:21:33.

one of these every day with at least one of your meals? The Cuban dish

:21:34.:21:39.

has a very popular side dish, all based on bananas. I grew up having

:21:40.:21:43.

that as a side dish with pretty much every meal. It is officially my

:21:44.:21:50.

favourite dessert, a banoffee party. Oh, wow! -- banoffee pie. I was

:21:51.:21:57.

like, why did I not have this before in my life? If it is on the menu, I

:21:58.:22:03.

will have it. I cannot believe they eat cheesecake

:22:04.:22:12.

and banoffee pie, they are tiny. Now, she brings girl power to the

:22:13.:22:15.

judges' panel and has to sit between Craig and Len. For that, we can only

:22:16.:22:21.

apologise. It is the gorgeous Darcey Bussell! We were thinking about

:22:22.:22:28.

laying a red carpet for you. How much are you enjoying this series?

:22:29.:22:32.

This season is extraordinary. You would never imagine that each season

:22:33.:22:38.

could get better, but it has. The standard is incredible. For me, I

:22:39.:22:41.

love the excitement that Strictly always brings to the autumn months

:22:42.:22:48.

and winter. It is a joy. I love putting on the bling and smiling and

:22:49.:22:52.

trying to be positive and get the best out of them. You always find

:22:53.:22:56.

something positive to say. Interestingly, the judges' scores

:22:57.:23:00.

can vary dramatically, and this weekend you scored less than Craig

:23:01.:23:09.

for Kellie and Kevin. How do you decide what you are going to score

:23:10.:23:15.

them? With this couple, she is one of the strongest celebrity girls.

:23:16.:23:18.

Have you seen how strong her Cory 's? It is amazing, the muscles. She

:23:19.:23:26.

is so compact. This was a fusion of styles, even more than we have had

:23:27.:23:32.

in the past. To have street dance and hip-hop, and then to have the

:23:33.:23:39.

samba, it just didn't moult. I couldn't handle it. It was the

:23:40.:23:44.

moulding together that didn't work. I have seen a lot of street dance

:23:45.:23:49.

and hip-hop and have even judged it, and it is that weird thing where, to

:23:50.:23:55.

wear high heels and do street dance, you don't do that. It was so

:23:56.:23:58.

impressive that she even attempted it. It just looked odd. A lot of the

:23:59.:24:03.

celebrity girls have to get those heels on sooner. She just didn't

:24:04.:24:08.

look comfortable. They have got to go into rehearsals from nearly day

:24:09.:24:13.

one, when they start learning the choreography, to get used to wearing

:24:14.:24:20.

heels. Do you ever argue with the other judges about their scoring?

:24:21.:24:29.

Sometimes we see you looking at each other after the cameras cut away. It

:24:30.:24:35.

is weird. We all presume each other will like something because of

:24:36.:24:39.

something. And then sometimes we surprise each other and go, why did

:24:40.:24:43.

you do that? I would have thought you would have said this. But it

:24:44.:24:50.

doesn't happen often. We do have quite a good chat! I love watching

:24:51.:24:57.

you have a gossip. I wish I could lip read. You do look like you have

:24:58.:25:02.

a great time. What is the best thing about being a judge on Strictly? For

:25:03.:25:07.

me, it is being part of a company again. It is a bit cliched, but it

:25:08.:25:12.

is a happy family. I have been brought up with that. All my life, I

:25:13.:25:16.

have been in a large company, working with a lot of dancers,

:25:17.:25:21.

aiming to get a great show on. It is lovely to be part of that again and

:25:22.:25:25.

I love this group. Everybody who works on Strictly, from wardrobe to

:25:26.:25:31.

the stage crew and lighting, it is amazing, the effort that goes into

:25:32.:25:36.

it. I am so lucky to be part of this and to produce an amazing West End

:25:37.:25:41.

show. And I get to watch it. Front row seats. What do you think about

:25:42.:25:48.

our new professionals, Giovanni and Gleb? They definitely bring an edge.

:25:49.:25:54.

They bring good looks as well, which is helpful. They have not revealed

:25:55.:26:02.

themselves totally yet. That is another perk of being a judge on the

:26:03.:26:08.

show. There are lots of bonuses. They do bring the level up for the

:26:09.:26:12.

other professionals. They all work so hard, but when you get new blood

:26:13.:26:18.

in, it brings everybody else up. It gets a bit more competitive. People

:26:19.:26:23.

are more creative choreographic Lee. You can see their mind ticking over

:26:24.:26:28.

and working harder. Although, how could they work harder? We have lots

of questions from viewers. Emily wants to know, if you're dance

partner was one of your fellow judges, which one would it be and

:26:37.:26:42.

why? You don't want to get into trouble here. I have nearly come

:26:43.:26:48.

close to being partnered by Craig professionally, because he has also

:26:49.:26:56.

choreographed things on shows by friends of mine. I suppose he would

:26:57.:27:00.

be the most natural physical match. I would love to work with Bruno

:27:01.:27:09.

because he is so alive. It would be so edgy. Len would be so comp entry

:27:10.:27:21.

and he would be the best in rehearsal time on getting it right.

:27:22.:27:30.

I suppose Craig. Jessica says, what has been your favourite dance of the

:27:31.:27:37.

series so far? That is so hard. My favourite has-been Jay's jive. It

:27:38.:27:47.

was incredible. Obviously, the technique. How precise and keen he

:27:48.:27:51.

is, but how cool it was. It wasn't the ponytail, that put me off a

:27:52.:27:56.

bit. But it was how and assuming he is. And it was just cool and calm,

:27:57.:28:02.

but everything was going for it underneath. The style was perfect,

:28:03.:28:06.

the way they set the film up, everything. Very quickly, Alice, who

:28:07.:28:15.

is 12, says, what is your top tips for beginners starting? Don't start

:28:16.:28:21.

to sing and break your point shoes in the right place. You don't want

:28:22.:28:25.

to put them on brand-new, because they are like blogs. You have to get

:28:26.:28:31.

them into your hands and work them. They do this with ballroom shoes.

:28:32.:28:36.

Soften them, not too much, just at the top. Thank you, Darcey. Enjoy

Blackpool this weekend. Lovely to see you, Darcey Bussell! Tune in
