Life from London, this is Strictly, It Takes Two. Please welcome your

:00:49.:00:53.

host, Zoe Ball. Much like a car that's

:00:54.:00:58.

just passed it's MOT, we're in working order

:00:59.:01:03.

and feeling revved up to go! So let's drive by the green room

:01:04.:01:07.

and see who's joining us tonight They're the 'wheel deal' -

:01:08.:01:12.

it's Ore and Joanne! Or is it the milk Tray man? Loving

:01:13.:01:21.

the rocking turtlenecks. And joining them to launch

:01:22.:01:26.

2016's Pro Challenge - a man who always gets our engines

:01:27.:01:28.

going - Aljaz is here! Looks like he's taking this

:01:29.:01:33.

a bit too seriously! But first, the Strictly costume

:01:34.:01:36.

department went into overdrive last weekend - 121 sensational

:01:37.:01:42.

outfits were created Let's find out what's

:01:43.:01:44.

in store for this week - In the jumpsuit, we love it. 121

:01:45.:02:16.

costumes, did it get a bit hairy getting them in and out of the

:02:17.:02:20.

costumes is yellow it was a bit. All the departments came together and it

:02:21.:02:26.

was perfect. Brilliant. A bit stressful going into the second

:02:27.:02:34.

dance, putting everything on. Everyone's hairstyle is changing,

:02:35.:02:37.

under skirts, the lots. Everybody fighting for attention. Possibly one

:02:38.:02:43.

of the best Blackpool shows we have seen. We should talk about Louise's

:02:44.:02:50.

costume, epic proportions. Here she is. Did you fear there might be a

:02:51.:02:59.

Madonna kind of moment with these stairs? Slightly worried. We had a

:03:00.:03:03.

centre front, centre back release, and the extra dancers were primed to

:03:04.:03:07.

make sure they gave it a good go, as soon as it released. Talk us through

:03:08.:03:12.

the detail in this dress. I thought the whole number from the backing

:03:13.:03:15.

dancers to Kevin and Louise, I thought the whole thing was great,

:03:16.:03:19.

the tone and colours of everything. Skirt worked really well. Louise

:03:20.:03:24.

probably hated us for flashing too much of her legs. Beautiful legs,

:03:25.:03:28.

she used them perfectly and got such a great score. Fabulous. Kevin loves

:03:29.:03:38.

a paso. I forgot to mention yesterday, his guy-liner was

:03:39.:03:44.

extreme. What can you tell us about Katia's outfit? My brief this week

:03:45.:03:50.

was a catwalk kind of feel. I love it. Lord help us. Quite simple in

:03:51.:03:57.

its design. The fabric is leading the way. Bright turquoise lining

:03:58.:04:01.

through the whole dress. In the tango when she's moving, there's a

:04:02.:04:05.

nice split on the left, we may reduce it but we'll see lots of

:04:06.:04:08.

turquoise as a block colour and the print runs through the dress. All

:04:09.:04:14.

the embellishment through the waste. There's a photograph of the material

:04:15.:04:20.

we can see here. Quite busy, but I think we'll still end up with

:04:21.:04:22.

sparkle to the detail. There's always a bit of sparkle. Claudia and

:04:23.:04:30.

AJ doing and Argentine tango, this looks great. It's a traditional

:04:31.:04:37.

colour and shape. I watched their directors take today. We've got a

:04:38.:04:41.

high split at the back. As with Oti, we put more slips in when we saw

:04:42.:04:49.

them in the dressing room. We may put slips up here. The front is

:04:50.:04:56.

solid red with mesh on the site. A purple panel down the back so when

:04:57.:05:00.

they are moving and turning we'll get lots of contrast. I think it's

:05:01.:05:09.

going to be a good one. Onto Oti's sambar outfit. We were laughing, we

:05:10.:05:14.

couldn't get it on the mannequin, she is so tiny, the mannequin must

:05:15.:05:18.

lose some weight. Talk us through this detail, it is incredible. I

:05:19.:05:23.

think this is one of my favourites. This was really born from Oti, she

:05:24.:05:27.

wanted an Amazonian tribal things number this week. We looked at lots

:05:28.:05:32.

of Prince. This is all done free hand so we had to take elements we

:05:33.:05:35.

thought we could transfer and make sure it was symmetrical. It has all

:05:36.:05:39.

been drawn on the base first. That's incredible. The stones do have shine

:05:40.:05:45.

but they are a flat colour, not too much reflection. Coral, turquoise,

:05:46.:05:48.

white Opel making an appearance again. Brown flare, lots of coloured

:05:49.:05:56.

pearls in between. And that Ash, he must spend hours on it. He's just

:05:57.:06:03.

absolutely fabulous. Ash, we love you, you should be knighted.

:06:04.:06:07.

Something exciting for you this week. The mystery mannequin. This

:06:08.:06:10.

one is covered up. This one is covered up because we're

:06:11.:06:13.

going to be unveiling it for the first time to dancer

:06:14.:06:16.

who'll be wearing it. Jo, you are doing the paso doble

:06:17.:06:29.

this weekend with Ore. Is that what you are doing? Somebody else can

:06:30.:06:36.

fill in. You had a conversation, what did you say you wanted? This is

:06:37.:06:40.

why she is great because she knows us all so well. And she knows that

:06:41.:06:45.

I'm the one pro who asks for the dresses to be longer rather than

:06:46.:06:52.

shorter, even my rumba dress. It was like a ballroom skirt on top. So you

:06:53.:06:57.

wanted long, it's paso doble, that's all we know. Ready for this? Drum

:06:58.:07:12.

roll, please. Oh my gosh, I hate it! That must happen, though, does it?

:07:13.:07:16.

It does, people aren't going to like everything. Is that shorts

:07:17.:07:22.

underneath? It is shorts. As you can see its work in progress. We'll see

:07:23.:07:26.

whether we put another layer in the lining. The skirt length, even

:07:27.:07:31.

though Jo likes them long, we may angle it from here down. Keep it

:07:32.:07:39.

closed. Not too much flashing. In the choreography they have a few

:07:40.:07:42.

moments on a table, in a raised position. Sounds exciting. I thought

:07:43.:07:49.

Jo would be happy if we had a placing underneath. Have you ever

:07:50.:07:55.

worn a placement for a paso doble before? Not yet. Are you loving it?

:07:56.:08:01.

Yes, and its black-and-white, and last time we wore black and white

:08:02.:08:05.

was the drive. Do you like the turtleneck and the stones? I do. How

:08:06.:08:10.

much will it change before Saturday? A bit, the waistband may change and

:08:11.:08:14.

we'll have more embellishment. The lines will be much sharper and

:08:15.:08:17.

hopefully we'll get a white edging on the hem. We will see. I think we

:08:18.:08:23.

should do mystery mannequin more often, I love it. I think this is

:08:24.:08:31.

going to be my Christmas tablecloth. Well we know our couples are going

:08:32.:08:33.

to look the part on Saturday night - but are their dance moves

:08:34.:08:36.

looking as fancy? Let's see how Danny and Oti and Ed

:08:37.:08:38.

and Katya have been getting along The tango is not only sharp, but

:08:39.:08:53.

also quite low, driving and stamping along and I'm still in the foothills

:08:54.:09:01.

of learning the tango. In tango we say it's like a Ferrari, so it's low

:09:02.:09:06.

but very powerful. He's quite a tall man and big frame. So to be able to

:09:07.:09:13.

drive that across the floor will be important. If I can find my inner

:09:14.:09:19.

tango style I'll be OK on the night. OK. The sambar is a very rhythmical

:09:20.:09:29.

dance. It's fun and it's all so very, very technical. I need to

:09:30.:09:35.

throw all my energy at it and really enjoy it, because when I do it is so

:09:36.:09:44.

much fun. Come on, don't stop. This is one of Oti's favourite styles

:09:45.:09:47.

says she is really throwing everything at this and she wants to

:09:48.:09:50.

have a great routine, which I hope I can help her with somehow. Why are

:09:51.:09:54.

you so stiff? Why are you fighting me?

:09:55.:09:58.

Those gorgeous four on the show tomorrow.

:09:59.:10:01.

Now, our Strictly pros thrive on competition.

:10:02.:10:03.

In previous years we've tested them on Botafogos, Kick ball changes,

:10:04.:10:05.

But this year will see them face their greatest challenge yet.

:10:06.:10:11.

It's time to launch the Strictly Pro Challenge 2016!

:10:12.:10:25.

The Strictly pro challenge is back and bigger than ever. This year our

:10:26.:10:32.

pros are going to attempt to set a Guinness world record for the most

:10:33.:10:40.

jive kicks and flicks in 30 seconds. Judging alongside me, top

:10:41.:10:43.

choreographer, Richard Marcel, and Guinness world records adjudicator

:10:44.:10:49.

Emma Davies. The kick and flick is a quintessential jive step that

:10:50.:10:51.

requires a lot of energy and conviction. We'll be looking for

:10:52.:10:57.

strong, pointed kicks with a fast retraction and then the feet

:10:58.:10:59.

returning to the floor after the flick. If they don't bring the foot

:11:00.:11:04.

back to the resting position then the step will be disqualified. This

:11:05.:11:09.

will be a challenge of energy and endurance. There can only be one

:11:10.:11:13.

champion so they need to make every step count. Welcome to the Strictly

:11:14.:11:18.

pro challenge 2016. Thank you, Ian. Time to welcome 2016's first

:11:19.:11:22.

Pro Challenge contender. He's 5'11 tall, has size 9.5 shoes

:11:23.:11:24.

and likes to eat squid. Slovenia's finest export,

:11:25.:11:27.

Aljaz Skorjanec! What an entrance, fine sir. Welcome,

:11:28.:11:49.

my dialling. You're going to be the first, how exciting.

:11:50.:11:50.

So Aljaz, you are the reigning Strictly pro champion

:11:51.:11:55.

with Karen Clifton, together you set the world record

:11:56.:11:59.

for most New Yorkers in 30 seconds, 39, back

:12:00.:12:01.

No Karen to help you this time, can you be victorious again?

:12:02.:12:08.

No. OK. Was it just a lucky shot last time? I think it was all down

:12:09.:12:18.

to Karen, I was just in the shot doing it with her. But yeah, I was

:12:19.:12:24.

never the fastest in jive so I always knew it was going to be a

:12:25.:12:28.

tough one, but I did practice loads. I was going to say, do you prepare

:12:29.:12:32.

at home? Pretty much since August, seven hours a day. Just one hour of

:12:33.:12:38.

training with Daisy and the rest is this. Takes this very seriously.

:12:39.:12:41.

Your fiance, Latin sensation Janette Manrara, came last

:12:42.:12:45.

in the previous pro challenge, she fell over.

:12:46.:12:50.

Obviously she is livid, she has never lived it down. Is it

:12:51.:12:55.

competitive between the two of you, bit of an atmosphere? Yes, a bit

:12:56.:13:01.

stressful at home since that pro challenge. No, you know what, mainly

:13:02.:13:07.

it's mostly fun. But obviously all of us want to do well. Quite a few

:13:08.:13:11.

couples can be competitive, it's brilliant. Are you nervous being

:13:12.:13:14.

first? Yes, I'm literally sweating. I never consider myself being good

:13:15.:13:26.

in kicks and flicks so I think the biggest rival in this challenge is

:13:27.:13:29.

going to be myself. I just hope I don't cramp up. That would be bad.

:13:30.:13:37.

Hello, Aljaz. Hello. Welcome to the pro challenge. In the last pro

:13:38.:13:41.

challenge you set the world record with Karen Clifton. Have you got a

:13:42.:13:44.

plan for this, have you practised? I've practised loads, pretty much

:13:45.:13:49.

since I left Slovenia. Good luck, we hope you do well. Please take your

:13:50.:13:55.

place. Aljaz, good luck. I'm going to count you down for the record.

:13:56.:13:57.

Three, two, one, though. Five, Faulkner three, two, one...

:13:58.:14:33.

Stop. How does it feel? Horrible! What do you think, Richard? I

:14:34.:14:37.

thought he did really well. Really stylish, had good posture, looked

:14:38.:14:42.

great. I think you're in for a good chance. Thank you. Even if I don't

:14:43.:14:49.

get it, that was stylish! I have to say, I find this really difficult.

:14:50.:14:54.

It's very hard on your legs. I could not turn you how it went, because it

:14:55.:15:00.

was kind of like an out of legs experience. I have had a few of

:15:01.:15:04.

those as well, actually! How do you think you did? I don't know. I got

:15:05.:15:12.

halfway through, and... You only have the left leg and the right leg.

:15:13.:15:18.

Generally, yes! But I have never had simultaneous cramp in both of them

:15:19.:15:24.

at the same time! I know! But it was worth it. You fought on, even so!

:15:25.:15:30.

You are used to doing jives, kicks and flicks, but never that many at

:15:31.:15:36.

the same time? , never. After each of the professionals have made there

:15:37.:15:39.

tempt, the footage was watched back by the adjudicators in slow motion

:15:40.:15:45.

to make sure that every single one was accurate. Did you see any

:15:46.:15:49.

mistakes, looking back? No, none whatsoever. Perfection. Around 300!

:15:50.:15:57.

Interesting you should say that, because I can reveal that you had

:15:58.:16:03.

two steps disqualified. I know! The tension is unbearable, ladies and

:16:04.:16:06.

gentlemen! You money for the moment of truth? In 30 seconds, you

:16:07.:16:10.

completed... 52! Which puts you at the top of the

:16:11.:16:34.

leaderboard! Don't get carried away, because you're the first one. You

:16:35.:16:39.

are obviously also the bottom of the leaderboard. And in the middle,

:16:40.:16:43.

which is a dangerous place to be! We have 12 other pros - who do you

:16:44.:16:49.

think is your biggest competition? I think as I said in the video, it's

:16:50.:16:54.

just myself. We have some new pros, they're all incredible, young and

:16:55.:16:57.

fast. It's going to be interesting to see, especially when we do it

:16:58.:17:03.

just as individuals. We will have to wait and see. Thank you for being

:17:04.:17:09.

first, Aljaz! Isn't he gorgeous, everyone?

:17:10.:17:16.

Time now to go behind the scenes for an exclusive look at this

:17:17.:17:19.

This weekend, we are taking the ball into the athletics field. Let's go!

:17:20.:17:36.

The concept of this dance is charleston, based on an or fashion

:17:37.:17:42.

sports day. Egg and spoon races, sack races, things like that. It's

:17:43.:17:46.

going to be fun and energetic, with a lot of things going on. We are all

:17:47.:17:56.

doing lots of different activities, including the piggyback race, and

:17:57.:17:58.

even the tug-of-war. And I beat all the boys! As soon as we heard there

:17:59.:18:08.

was going to be a Strictly Sports Day, we realised it would be silly

:18:09.:18:12.

and funny. Doing it with the charleston, you get a lot of

:18:13.:18:17.

character in. It's great fun. I'm definitely going to win the Strictly

:18:18.:18:24.

Sports Day. Some of it not what you would expect at a regular sports day

:18:25.:18:30.

event. This is Strictly, of course! Who would have a real life sack race

:18:31.:18:35.

one I think Neil does not have a chance. The most challenging part of

:18:36.:18:43.

this routine is the timing trainer things happen very quickly trainer

:18:44.:18:48.

one thing passes into the next thing. Hopefully we will connect

:18:49.:18:52.

everything together and it should be a fun routine. Right, it's time for

:18:53.:19:03.

you to hop, skip and jump out of here. Me? No, them! Seeing Neil to a

:19:04.:19:13.

caterpillar in a sack, that is a first.

:19:14.:19:15.

On first impressions, our Strictly pros may all seem

:19:16.:19:17.

But get them in our Booth of Truth, and a whole other side is revealed!

:19:18.:19:22.

Which pro is most addicted to their phone? Without a doubt, Pasha. It's

:19:23.:19:50.

100 cents Pasha. I would have to say it's Pasha. Here we go. He just

:19:51.:19:56.

ignores you when you're talking in the middle of a sentence. He's

:19:57.:20:01.

always playing games. Pasha loves the phone. Which pro is the

:20:02.:20:08.

grumpiest in the morning? I love this lady but it would have to be

:20:09.:20:12.

Karen. I think she would admit it, she's just not a morning person.

:20:13.:20:16.

Karen, she will kill me for saying that. I think it would be Karen,

:20:17.:20:23.

because sometimes, she can be a bit grumpy. If I haven't eaten, don't

:20:24.:20:29.

talk to me. But that only happens a few times. The most grumpy pro in

:20:30.:20:40.

the morning, who is that? It's definitely Brendan Cole. He has

:20:41.:20:43.

something to say about everything. Me!

:20:44.:20:46.

Now, our final guests' Viennese Waltz blew the socks off

:20:47.:20:48.

the judges last weekend, with Darcey, Len and Bruno

:20:49.:20:51.

If only Craig would have scored higher!

:20:52.:20:54.

# That's life! Cool, sophisticated, slick.

:20:55.:21:16.

Brilliant! You just fall into the style so easily. I loved it. I

:21:17.:21:23.

thought it was a fantastic performance.

:21:24.:21:33.

Ore and Joanne! Hello! The Prince and the showgirl! And you two had so

:21:34.:21:44.

much fun in Blackpool. Tell me more about this night? It was

:21:45.:21:51.

sensational, I was not really sure what to expect because the pros had

:21:52.:21:55.

talked about it all series long. But you go in there, it's overwhelming -

:21:56.:21:59.

the history of the place, the roar of the crowds when we got

:22:00.:22:03.

introduced, it was like going into a Roman Colosseum. Does it go to your

:22:04.:22:09.

head, all of the adoration? You've just have two it. And welcome back

:22:10.:22:19.

to Ten Club! You are back full stop so close to getting A40. What did

:22:20.:22:25.

you make of Craig giving you an eight? Let's concentrate on the

:22:26.:22:31.

tens! We did not expect that at all. We were just really happy to have

:22:32.:22:34.

got through the routine cleaning and to be so happy about it, because

:22:35.:22:39.

everything was just so incredible about it. So, to add tens, and did I

:22:40.:22:47.

mention it was my birthday last week as well...? Happy birthday, by the

:22:48.:22:53.

way! Thank you very much no more surprises, I can't take it! Jo,

:22:54.:22:57.

Craig said he was a bit bothered by the top line and it was a little bit

:22:58.:23:03.

Skippy around the table. I say Jo, I should say Marilyn, actually. What

:23:04.:23:08.

did you think about that? Hold-wise, I've got to disagree. We worked so

:23:09.:23:15.

hard on it, and looking back at the video, yes, the elbows have to be in

:23:16.:23:19.

line and they were in line. I thought the hold was really, really

:23:20.:23:24.

good. Good boy! The skipping... Just around the table at the end, because

:23:25.:23:30.

the ballroom is so big and we had to get right round to the other side,

:23:31.:23:35.

we really had to move. But that's all right. Also, you skipped with

:23:36.:23:39.

joy! And anyway, who cares what the judges think? Really, it's all about

:23:40.:23:45.

your mum, Ore. Your mum Fola, what was her feedback after this one? Can

:23:46.:23:49.

I be honest only I have not spoken to my mum all week! That's

:23:50.:23:58.

outrageous! Terrible! Fola, call in, we will put you in touch! Hi, mum, I

:23:59.:24:04.

just wanted to say, Blackpool was really brilliant, I will call you

:24:05.:24:07.

after the show! You're in so much trouble! We were trying to count but

:24:08.:24:12.

we got really dizzy, you did so many. It was absolutely beautiful,

:24:13.:24:16.

we had never seen anything like it before. How did you carry on,

:24:17.:24:23.

though, after that? To be honest it was quite difficult, because at the

:24:24.:24:28.

point that we stopped, you can see four images, all slowly merging

:24:29.:24:34.

together! And you're like, OK, now I can see! But it was amazing. And

:24:35.:24:44.

Clifton's choreography, she has been in this Blackpool situation before,

:24:45.:24:49.

she knew that if we carry on... It gets bigger and bigger. I was like,

:24:50.:24:59.

use that! I must say, Karen Hardy said you took a risk with those

:25:00.:25:02.

moves, but it really did pay off. You've got to do things like that I

:25:03.:25:06.

surmised at this point in the competition, Jo? Yes, as I said I

:25:07.:25:11.

knew it was something that worked, I wanted to put it in. It is really

:25:12.:25:15.

hard, I remember doing it in competitions, and my neck could be

:25:16.:25:21.

like, my dance partner... I was like, he's strong, he can do it.

:25:22.:25:26.

Last week, I thought, no chance, this is the most ridiculous

:25:27.:25:29.

choreography I have ever seen. But it all came together. You thought

:25:30.:25:33.

that was ridiculous - this weekend, the paso doble. Jo, have we got any

:25:34.:25:40.

more firsts, the most legs crawl more than we have ever seen, or

:25:41.:25:45.

anything? We have got a table. Love tables, you two, don't you? This one

:25:46.:25:53.

is rectangular. All the shapes! Next week, Triangle table! With got bits

:25:54.:25:59.

underneath the table. I say, that sounds very racy! You are dancing to

:26:00.:26:09.

Everybody Wants To Rule The World. Everybody wants to rule the

:26:10.:26:12.

leaderboard at the moment, how do you get to the top this week? Our

:26:13.:26:18.

paso will be slightly different, in the sense that it is not

:26:19.:26:21.

traditional, the music starts off really, really slow. So we're just

:26:22.:26:27.

going to be really intense. I like it! I've been sweating this week,

:26:28.:26:33.

rarely moving, standing and sweating. It that intense. And Len

:26:34.:26:39.

said, doing nothing is very difficult. There are some moments,

:26:40.:26:44.

actually, we spoke about that waltz, some moments where you have just got

:26:45.:26:49.

to stick your tongue back in, mate! I like you talking yourself through

:26:50.:26:55.

it! Kevin, your Big Brother, did the paso last week, and it's following

:26:56.:26:58.

on from that, which will be tough. Can you match it? I should hope so!

:26:59.:27:05.

Don't feel the pressure or anything! It wasn't bad, was it? Why did they

:27:06.:27:13.

do that to you? Strictly statistic time, because it's been a pretty

:27:14.:27:17.

close series for the Clifton siblings. Let's compare your scores

:27:18.:27:20.

so far. I feel like such a stirrer! We've got this nifty little chart.

:27:21.:27:34.

You start at the beginning. You're in blue, Ore. And it all starts to

:27:35.:27:40.

turn around in week four. And then as we move through the weeks, week

:27:41.:27:45.

seven was Louise's Argentine tango. And then we get to last week, and

:27:46.:27:52.

you are neck and neck. And then when we add them all that we can see that

:27:53.:28:03.

you have... Only six points in it. And this week, the Cha-Cha-Cha

:28:04.:28:05.

Challenge is an extra six points for someone. You have not done the

:28:06.:28:10.

cha-cha-cha since week two. AJ was laying down the gauntlet saying that

:28:11.:28:16.

they're can take everybody down. Any words for your opponents? I saw that

:28:17.:28:20.

interview with AJ. AJ, listen up, OK? Beware, your space, a little

:28:21.:28:28.

politeness goes a long way. But if you come in and have a cup of tea,

:28:29.:28:31.

you're most welcome! Fighting talk for you? Push good luck this

:28:32.:28:35.

weekend, you're both marvellous! That's all we've got

:28:36.:28:39.

time for tonight. Join me tomorrow at six

:28:40.:28:42.

for an epic It Takes Two! I'll be chatting to Ed and Katya,

:28:43.:28:46.

Danny and Oti and On the Friday panel

:28:47.:28:49.

will be Katy Brand, All that, plus - Gethin will be

:28:50.:28:51.

reporting from Elstree and Who knows where

:28:52.:29:14.

it's going to take me?

:29:15.:29:16.
