From London, this is Strictly - It Takes Two. Please welcome your host,

:00:50.:01:02.

Zoe Ball! Hello and welcome to It Takes Two. We have so much to pack

:01:03.:01:07.

in, we might need to undo our top button halfway through the show.

:01:08.:01:11.

Let's see who is squeezed into the green room tonight. There is always

:01:12.:01:17.

time for a choreography lesson. It's the one and only Karen, looking

:01:18.:01:24.

gorgeous as ever. And the Strictly finalists Danny and Oti! And they've

:01:25.:01:29.

been there, done that, former champions Darren Gough, Jill

:01:30.:01:33.

Halfpenny and Tom Chambers! Look at those three! It is like a Strictly

:01:34.:01:40.

Hall of Fame! My first guests tonight, on Saturday, they served up

:01:41.:01:43.

two courses of delicious dance from a Cuban salsa to lonely American

:01:44.:01:49.

smooth. And a place in the final was the icing on the cake, it's Danny

:01:50.:01:50.

and Oti! Such intricate, fabulous lifts. It

:01:51.:02:05.

lacked for me, figure of eight rotation in the hip. It was like a

:02:06.:02:13.

Cuban evening, hot and steamy. I was totally and completely swept away.

:02:14.:02:17.

It really was exquisite storytelling. That was right up my

:02:18.:02:34.

street, I loved it! Danny and Oti! I love it but even Danny screamed

:02:35.:02:39.

seeing that, as Oti took her life in her hands. Where do we even begin?

:02:40.:02:45.

My goodness, two dances, a place in the final at stake. What was the

:02:46.:02:48.

atmosphere like on Saturday, how were the nerves? Well, I was really,

:02:49.:02:55.

really nervous, but it was so disconcertingly calm in the studio.

:02:56.:02:59.

There was four of us walking around, everything was so organised, and it

:03:00.:03:05.

was just calm, which was terrifying. I was completely ready did before

:03:06.:03:08.

the show, and that was no fun. Everything was quiet. It was so

:03:09.:03:16.

calm. It's the seriousness, the hugeness of the event. I love it!

:03:17.:03:21.

And starting with yourself, it was just utterly brilliant, frankly. And

:03:22.:03:26.

then Darcey said, it was not wild enough. She said, were you holding

:03:27.:03:31.

back, I'm assuming, probably not? I definitely was not holding back, but

:03:32.:03:36.

I was definitely holding onto all the choreography in my head. We had

:03:37.:03:40.

half a week, and I'm used to having every hour of the week on one dance.

:03:41.:03:45.

And we have half of that. And it was not totally 100% in my body, so I

:03:46.:03:49.

was clinging on to every step praying it did not go wrong. That

:03:50.:03:54.

was actually, mostly, the first time we got it all completely right from

:03:55.:03:58.

the beginning to end. At the end I was so surprised, I was like, what

:03:59.:04:02.

was that, where has this guy been the whole week?! There's so many

:04:03.:04:07.

steps in it, I can't explain. I watched it back, and I thought, are

:04:08.:04:13.

we still going?! And there's more! And normally, there is a huge sense

:04:14.:04:17.

of relief, you finish your dance, you go and watch everybody else. But

:04:18.:04:21.

this time you had to go on to the American smooth as an how was the

:04:22.:04:26.

focus, to go from one to the other? It was really odd. That's the first

:04:27.:04:32.

time we have had to do anything like that. But it was such a relief that

:04:33.:04:36.

the first one went well. If it hadn't, you knew so much will be

:04:37.:04:40.

riding on the second one. But thankfully we did it the right way

:04:41.:04:45.

around. We got the salsa out of the way which was really busy in my

:04:46.:04:48.

head, and then we could relax. Because the American smooth needed

:04:49.:04:54.

to be calm, cool and collected. It was a bit of a rush backstage but it

:04:55.:04:58.

was constant, there wasn't any time, which was quite nice. And not many

:04:59.:05:04.

people look back handsome in trousers, dancing in a jumper! You

:05:05.:05:08.

looked absolutely amazing, and it was stunning. Yes, thank you very

:05:09.:05:16.

much! It really was something else. Darcey was talking about that lift

:05:17.:05:21.

being slightly out of context. Oti, what did you make of that? Well, I

:05:22.:05:26.

understand what she was trying to say - maybe it was not as smooth as

:05:27.:05:30.

it could have been, but it was amazing, and it was different.

:05:31.:05:33.

That's what we always try to do, something completely different every

:05:34.:05:38.

week, just to bring a little bit of roughness into it! When you're doing

:05:39.:05:43.

those, it's just brilliant! We have slowed it down for everybody to see

:05:44.:05:47.

because it is so fast. Here's that amazing moment when you catch Oti as

:05:48.:05:55.

she leaps down! I mean...! The trust, to do that! It's not

:05:56.:05:59.

something you can practice loads come either, Oti? No, it was so

:06:00.:06:07.

funny, because I always try to do simple endings, and he's like, come

:06:08.:06:13.

on, jump! I am like, I don't know you that well to just jump in your

:06:14.:06:18.

arms! He's like, Oti come just jump! And I'm like, he caught me! We've

:06:19.:06:25.

got to do it over and over again! And he did it, it was amazing. I

:06:26.:06:29.

kind of like broke my contact lenses. It's a long story, so during

:06:30.:06:35.

that whole dance, I could not see. So basically you are jumping behind?

:06:36.:06:40.

All I saw was a blue figure standing there, and all I knew was, nobody

:06:41.:06:51.

ever gets to jump abridge into Danny Mac's answerable how was it to hear

:06:52.:06:59.

your name? I was gutted. Of all the weeks, you do not want to be there

:07:00.:07:05.

in the dance-off. And everyone was so good. You thought your time was

:07:06.:07:12.

up. I just thought, that is so typical, we get to the semis, and

:07:13.:07:17.

that's it, done. It had all been so smooth, and we'd been so fortunate,

:07:18.:07:21.

even when things did not go so well, we still went through. Definitely we

:07:22.:07:25.

deserve it at some point. And actually in hindsight, to come out

:07:26.:07:31.

of it and to be on the good side of a dance-off, it is a great lesson to

:07:32.:07:35.

learn. And it's a great feeling to know you've achieved that. And at

:07:36.:07:41.

least that's part of the Strictly experience. You've had the full

:07:42.:07:47.

experience, you really have! So, this weekend, the final. Three

:07:48.:07:49.

dances for you, including the Showdance, the judges' pick and your

:07:50.:07:54.

favourite dance. What have you chosen and white, Oti? WE have

:07:55.:08:04.

chosen the samba! Why in particular, and was it a decision that you came

:08:05.:08:10.

to together? Yes. You know what? That dance was just so much fun, it

:08:11.:08:15.

was us letting go. I think if that's going to be the last dance that we

:08:16.:08:19.

ever get to do together, it has to be just a fun one where we get to

:08:20.:08:23.

release and go wild and have it be memorable. That for me was like the

:08:24.:08:29.

biggest achievement that I've had on this show for so many reasons. We

:08:30.:08:34.

always said Oti had to give me a character to go out and play to get

:08:35.:08:39.

through it, to detach myself from being on that floor. But that one,

:08:40.:08:43.

she went, it's just you and me, and we threw everything at it. And I

:08:44.:08:48.

felt like I was enjoying myself for the first time. That was me out

:08:49.:08:51.

there having fun with my best friend. It was just a dream. Stop

:08:52.:08:55.

it, I'm very emotional wreck already! We will find out about the

:08:56.:09:01.

music in a moment. Oti, you've blown our minds with your choreography all

:09:02.:09:05.

the way through, so your Showdance, is it going to be like nothing we

:09:06.:09:10.

have seen before? I hope so, I hope we can bring in some new elements of

:09:11.:09:16.

dancing on the show. So, the judges' pick, are you happy with what they

:09:17.:09:21.

have chosen? I am allowed to say? I do not want to say too much but I am

:09:22.:09:26.

very, very happy with it. I am so pleased we get to do it again. We

:09:27.:09:30.

cannot wait. Good luck in training. We will see you on Friday. Your

:09:31.:09:38.

amazing, Danny and Oti! I can barely compose myself to make this next

:09:39.:09:44.

introduction, because for the last time this series, we are putting

:09:45.:09:48.

choreography in a corner - it's Karen Hardy!

:09:49.:10:04.

Dame Karen Hardy, everyone! I'm going to miss that music week after

:10:05.:10:09.

week! Such a brilliant semifinal, so much to discuss. We're going to

:10:10.:10:15.

start with the top of the leaderboard, with Ore and Joanne,

:10:16.:10:18.

their first dance, the liver clad quickstep. Despite giving them an

:10:19.:10:28.

eight, he said that Joanne had set a very high standard of amalgamation.

:10:29.:10:31.

What did he mean? I love it nothing more than when our professionals can

:10:32.:10:36.

smell a trophy. They know it's just around the corner, and we got, from

:10:37.:10:42.

Joanne, she upped the choreography. Amalgamation means quick and slow,

:10:43.:10:47.

up and down, even a potential mannequin moment. So, this fabulous

:10:48.:10:52.

piece of Collier % up in the corner, the kicks and clicks, and they're so

:10:53.:10:56.

confident in what they are doing. Just freeze. And let's show off with

:10:57.:11:04.

the confidence, a wink in there as well. Again, scattered with a few

:11:05.:11:09.

errors, the gapping and things, but my goodness me, I never saw that

:11:10.:11:13.

coming in a million years - it was fabulous. I do believe you have a

:11:14.:11:18.

demonstration for us? I can't even get away with it on the last day!

:11:19.:11:24.

It's going to be a long winter! We have done pendulum swings before,

:11:25.:11:28.

but I thought we would do one in combination with a woodpecker.

:11:29.:11:31.

Because of that wonderful quickstep. A pendulum is swing, if everybody at

:11:32.:11:38.

home puts down their cooking utensils, and swing the legs, we get

:11:39.:11:43.

a nice bounce going on and we just tap the tow behind. Now, we combine

:11:44.:11:50.

the two, lonely amalgamation. A swing and a! There we go! Let's look

:11:51.:12:00.

now at their mesmerising Argentine tango. Rumour did not know if he was

:12:01.:12:07.

watching a lion tamer or magician. What did you think of it? For me it

:12:08.:12:13.

is not a Strictly semifinal without an Argentina Tango. This was

:12:14.:12:15.

fabulous. The energy, the assertiveness. The synchronicity

:12:16.:12:20.

between the two of them. Look at the perfection of the foot timing

:12:21.:12:25.

together. But on top of that, the assertiveness that he has learnt

:12:26.:12:31.

across the weeks. We had our front runners and we've got our slow

:12:32.:12:34.

burners. That has got to be the best final we could ever ask for. The

:12:35.:12:38.

teamwork between these two is sensational, equal now to the

:12:39.:12:42.

others. Masculine, leading through his own body, which he has learned

:12:43.:12:47.

throughout the weeks, and only because of that leading, he can make

:12:48.:12:57.

the woman look so amazing. OK, thank goodness, Danny and Oti surviving

:12:58.:13:00.

the dance-off. The judges were loving the lifts, what did you make

:13:01.:13:05.

of it? This was sensational. The music, the choreography, the

:13:06.:13:09.

performance element full stop but rightly so, Craig pick up on the

:13:10.:13:18.

essential element, which was the hip action. But I have to pick up on the

:13:19.:13:22.

choreography. These two have not stopped from beginning to end. They

:13:23.:13:26.

have pushed boundaries. We would say potentially Danny was one of our

:13:27.:13:29.

front runners, but towards the end, he has not held back anything. Have

:13:30.:13:33.

made the choreography more and more complex, and I absolutely loved it.

:13:34.:13:39.

But you must get technique, choreography, musicality and

:13:40.:13:42.

performance to raise that trophy. Just those for things! And their

:13:43.:13:51.

American smooth rich was stunning. And reversion, Darcey scored lower

:13:52.:13:54.

than Craig for once - was she just being picky? Go, girl. You've got to

:13:55.:14:01.

say what you feel as a judge. This is what I call a Marmite Downs, you

:14:02.:14:07.

either love it or hate it. They brought contemporary elements into

:14:08.:14:11.

it. Plus a clever, more difficult piece of lift work. Darcey is always

:14:12.:14:17.

meticulous with a lift work action. However, the quality, the beauty, as

:14:18.:14:23.

they went into the extra terms. However, and this was kicked up on

:14:24.:14:30.

by Len, he did not do the reverse turn, and he did not do that picky.

:14:31.:14:37.

We would need a combination of everything in that final. Right,

:14:38.:14:42.

Louise and Kevin, Tango for them first. The judges were impressed

:14:43.:14:45.

with the detail. What stood out for you? Remember we said previously, I

:14:46.:14:50.

thought everything was a little bit too simple. So I have picked up on

:14:51.:14:54.

this lovely bit of choreography. They're dancing down the floor. We

:14:55.:14:58.

have got the flicking action, the pivot turn with the kick. They're

:14:59.:15:04.

adding more detail, they've made it more complicated, which I really

:15:05.:15:09.

love. It was scattered with errors, we can see the gapping. I would say

:15:10.:15:15.

the top line was too far forward in the Argentine tango. The

:15:16.:15:17.

international Tango should be a lot further back. Four pieces of the pie

:15:18.:15:23.

for that final, and tech is one of them. But I love her, we have all

:15:24.:15:26.

fallen in love with her. Onto the Samba, Len could not get

:15:27.:15:40.

enough of the maple. We love bringing back a step like that. Well

:15:41.:15:43.

done, Kevin. Maybe it will not mean much to the public but this is the

:15:44.:15:50.

maypole, which I liked the lady. He has been clever in making her the

:15:51.:15:54.

centre of attention. The song was Brazil, which we all love as

:15:55.:15:58.

dancers. She brought a lot of energy. She had her eyes down and

:15:59.:16:01.

she looked nervous but her personality, that we have all fallen

:16:02.:16:04.

in love with as the weeks have gone on, together with this choreography,

:16:05.:16:08.

I cannot wait to see what the final is going to be like. I cannot wait

:16:09.:16:12.

either. Karen Hardy, you are godless and I will miss you over the next

:16:13.:16:20.

few months. -- you are a goddess. I adore her. The goodbyes keep on

:16:21.:16:24.

coming. Before we pop the jukebox into storage, let's will it out one

:16:25.:16:27.

last time for a special edition of tunes on Tuesday. # Let's dance...

:16:28.:16:40.

It is almost time to say goodbye, old faithful friend. I have one last

:16:41.:16:45.

dime, so let's make it a good one. Hit me with my first show dance

:16:46.:16:56.

tune. Adele! Yes, her smash, set fire to the rain, which spent a

:16:57.:17:00.

whopping 23 weeks at number one. I tell you. It backed her two Brit

:17:01.:17:07.

awards and six Grammys. Hang on a minute. I know it is bad luck

:17:08.:17:12.

indoors. The accolades have been pouring in ever since. Her latest

:17:13.:17:16.

album, 25, is now the fastest selling album of all time on both

:17:17.:17:23.

sides of the Atlantic. Who will be hoping to set the dance floor like

:17:24.:17:30.

with this song on Saturday? -- set the dance floor alight. Are you

:17:31.:17:39.

ready? OK. Danny and Oti. It will be a beauty. Let's see what is on next.

:17:40.:17:47.

# I got rhythm... It is the popular Gershwin brothers song, I've got

:17:48.:17:50.

written, performed by some of Hollywood's greatest musical stars

:17:51.:17:56.

from Judy Garland to Gene Kelly. He tap danced along to this classic in

:17:57.:18:01.

the Oscar-winning movie, an American in Paris. Much like Thom here, John

:18:02.:18:10.

chambers! -- Thom chambers. I love it when he does that. That is

:18:11.:18:15.

amazing. Who will be channelling their inner Gene Kelly on Saturday?

:18:16.:18:27.

Here we go. Ore and Joanne! Thom Chambers! That means that it just

:18:28.:18:33.

leaves the wheeze and Kevin's show dance song. Here we go. # I want one

:18:34.:18:43.

moment in time... It's Whitney Houston's One Moment In Time. . It

:18:44.:18:51.

was recorded for the whole of in Seoul in 1988. The finished line is

:18:52.:18:56.

in place. Whatever happens, they are guaranteed a place on the podium. To

:18:57.:19:01.

find out more about this weekend's songs, head to our website. All that

:19:02.:19:04.

is left to do is just enjoy these two ladies reaching for the finish

:19:05.:19:14.

line... I love it. All that is left to do now, sadly, is power-down the

:19:15.:19:24.

jukebox. 94 the memories, my little friend. On Saturday, Danny, the

:19:25.:19:30.

wheeze or Ore will the famous butterball, joining an exclusive

:19:31.:19:33.

club of Strictly champions. Here to reveal the secret to getting your

:19:34.:19:37.

hands on the trophy, Darren Gough and Thom Chambers. That was class. I

:19:38.:19:50.

am telling you. The amount of detail in your work is extraordinary. The

:19:51.:20:01.

winners of Strictly Come Dancing, Jill and Darren. You have danced

:20:02.:20:07.

beautifully. The Incredible Hulk of the competition!

:20:08.:20:14.

I loved it. All I can say is wow. The winners of Strictly Come

:20:15.:20:33.

Dancing, Tom and flabby. -- Flavia. Amazing hairdos. Give it up for our

:20:34.:20:40.

winners last. Great to see you. It was amazing to see that. It takes me

:20:41.:20:48.

back. It was a long time ago. A bit of sun in in your hair. Those tips.

:20:49.:20:54.

Whether you display your get butterball is? I am interested to

:20:55.:20:58.

know. I have three format. I have lost count. -- three or four. It is

:20:59.:21:07.

in my office, my study, whatever you call it. No cricket trophies, it is

:21:08.:21:12.

all about Strictly. Where is yours? Beside my retro record player. I

:21:13.:21:19.

knew I liked you. Beside the bedside table. I think my dad thinks that he

:21:20.:21:25.

won it because he has always got it. In his office, he is a chartered

:21:26.:21:31.

accountant, it is on the pavement, so that people walk past and do a

:21:32.:21:35.

double-take. It is good for business, I love it! Jill, in the

:21:36.:21:39.

audience on Saturday, when you were watching the show again, do you want

:21:40.:21:43.

to get up and join in? Yes. It was such a good show. It was amazing. It

:21:44.:21:49.

makes you want to do it again, it brings it all back. It was such a

:21:50.:21:53.

good show. Absolutely spectacular. Back to steer is three, Darren,

:21:54.:21:59.

there we were. You won and I have not spoken to you since then. Just

:22:00.:22:03.

kidding! -- series three. He did not have the best start. You got 19 on

:22:04.:22:09.

the cha-cha-cha and then he became the people's champion and you got

:22:10.:22:12.

better and better. It was amazing. He did go on a journey. Who do you

:22:13.:22:18.

think, looking at this series, has had the best journey? This is a

:22:19.:22:22.

difficult one. How do you judge it, what to look for? Danny is the best

:22:23.:22:25.

answer by far, in my personal opinion. But for the journey, I

:22:26.:22:32.

think the wheeze. When it went down to two dancers, I thought she would

:22:33.:22:37.

struggle. But now her journey, I think she has got better every week,

:22:38.:22:42.

until last week, which I think was probably her worst week for a while.

:22:43.:22:47.

Her journey has been fantastic. And everybody adores her. She is such a

:22:48.:22:51.

sweetheart. And it is kind of anyone's game. The shocker of Danny

:22:52.:22:56.

being in the bottom two. You were up against Rachel Stevens and Lisa

:22:57.:23:01.

Snowdon, and amazing final. How do you bring it in the last Jill? You

:23:02.:23:06.

get to a point, my wife told me that I needed to go up a gear because I

:23:07.:23:10.

was not quite there. The others were overtaking me and I thought, right,

:23:11.:23:13.

I have to really knuckle down. And it gets to the point where it is a

:23:14.:23:18.

bit of a mystery because it is a really lovely atmosphere, and

:23:19.:23:22.

everyone is really good friends, good support, and then it is like,

:23:23.:23:26.

wow, we are approaching the finals, and you have to really focus. The

:23:27.:23:32.

audience think you are completely in control but actually you are

:23:33.:23:36.

entirely out of control. And it does not go, that fear. Any advice to

them, doing three dancers this weekend? What should they be doing?

:23:40.:23:44.

My advice my dance like you have won it. The thing is with any type of

:23:45.:23:49.

performance, you have to make the person who is watching you feel

:23:50.:23:55.

really safe and believe in you. And Danny and Oti, they dance like they

:23:56.:23:59.

are winners. But the other two are completely capable of that. They

:24:00.:24:02.

just need to go out there and dance the way that they dance because all

:24:03.:24:06.

of them will up their game. And I think that it will be a really close

:24:07.:24:11.

final. Let's look at them all in a little detail. Starting with Danny

:24:12.:24:15.

and Oti. The bottom two for the first time on Saturday. Did you see

:24:16.:24:19.

that coming? He is by far the best answer. He has been greater since we

:24:20.:24:25.

won. He has got better. People think is the best man ever, and I kind of

:24:26.:24:28.

find that hard to believe. I think the one who came close was Tom. The

:24:29.:24:35.

best show dance ever. I was not even the best in our show, but I won it.

:24:36.:24:40.

And I can accept that. Colin and you, you were better than me.

:24:41.:24:43.

Because it is a public show, I will take it, but I think Danny is by far

:24:44.:24:48.

the best. That does not mean he will win. That is what I like about the

:24:49.:24:53.

show. Louise and Kevin, she has really grown in confidence each

:24:54.:24:57.

week. Have you been impressed by her progress? The reason why I love the

:24:58.:25:02.

wheeze and Kevin is because all of their partnership. -- Louise and

:25:03.:25:04.

Kevin. I think they have total respect for each other. They are

:25:05.:25:09.

really good friends and I love the way that Kevin choreographs. I love

:25:10.:25:14.

that he shows her off. I think she just needs to believe in herself as

:25:15.:25:17.

much as Kevin believes, and she can do it. Talking about Ore and July

:25:18.:25:24.

now, they topped the leaderboard for the first time this weekend. As he

:25:25.:25:27.

upped his game at the right time? He really has. He is a man after my own

:25:28.:25:33.

heart. He has really tried to get himself into that field of

:25:34.:25:37.

performance, when it is make or break on the floor. Coming from a

:25:38.:25:41.

sporting background, a sports presenter, without that feeling of

:25:42.:25:44.

how you have to get your body into the moves and really believe that

:25:45.:25:48.

you were doing it, it is really difficult. I think he is like Gene

:25:49.:25:56.

Kelly. When he did to two singing in the rain, it was amazing. Bruno has

:25:57.:26:05.

said he has joined the holy trinity of giants, along with you and Jade.

:26:06.:26:12.

He is doing it again in the final. Could that win him the competition?

:26:13.:26:15.

I think everyone likes the jive because it is a fun, dynamic dance.

:26:16.:26:20.

If you can get the crowd on your side and get those people at home

:26:21.:26:24.

excited about what you were doing, it is a real crowd pleaser. I think

:26:25.:26:28.

it is a good one to do. It is the most energetic. You really have to

:26:29.:26:34.

work hard. It is a real cardio work-out. Not for me. I was rubbish.

:26:35.:26:39.

When I did mine, you said I looked like a wedding pony. Who is going to

:26:40.:26:48.

win? I wanted Tameka to win but she is not here so I'm going to go for

:26:49.:26:54.

the wheeze. I hope she wins. -- go for Louise. Who do I want to win?

:26:55.:27:04.

Louise. Tom? I was the one Oti and Danny but Ore. It is so gorgeous to

:27:05.:27:11.

see all of you. Who will be joining you with the glitter ball? Give it

:27:12.:27:17.

up for Darren, chill and Tom. -- Jill. Thank you to all my guests.

:27:18.:27:23.

Join us tomorrow for a catch up one last time. And for the first time

:27:24.:27:28.

ever we will welcome TV's favourite double act to our sofa, Tess and

:27:29.:27:31.

Claude will be here. Good night.
