because when the scores were coming

in, you could hear them, b I was

still, I didn't know what was

improved in scores over the last

three weeks.

you're smiling. Why does the

American Smooth suit Gemma?

We did a

foxtrot a couple of weeks ago and it

went really well. Incredibly well,

but on the night the nerves got the

better of us both. Because it was

such a slow and smooth dance. The

music was changing types all the

time. Down town... I can't do it.

But the down Town was a lovely

foxtrot and doing it up in that huge

ballroom, which doesn't make any

accepts, because Gemma gets nervous

in Elstree and Blackpool ballroom is

so huge, but as soon as the numbers

started, you could see love in your

face and you loved the whole thing.

Because it's Blackpool.

It lifts you

I think.

I have so many amazing

memories from Blackpool.

We are

doing the show again in Blackpool.

We are all coming down. This weekend

it is the Samba. How has it gone?

It

has been OK, but it is quite light

and it is the bounce. I don't think

I have enough hippage. I'm quite

surfboardy. Aljaz said, no matter

what, he said in four weeks this

journey is over for everyone. Four

weeks left, enjoy it. That is what

he says. Any bits I'm going to go

for it.

Oh, yeah.

Ooh! It is a beautiful thing. Lexie

McGhee described her Samba rolls as

like sausage rolls.

I don't eat

meat, but I would rather have a

sausage roll. It is like playing

snooker.

We explain it is like a

snooker. It is nothing like that

really.

When they do it tomorrow, we

But before that let's head

back to the training

room to see how Mollie,

Alexandra, Joe and Debbie

have been getting along.

It is like the other dances, but a

hundred miles an hour and I'm so

slow. The hardest part is

remembering the sequence.

You have

to remember it.

Hopefully it will

become muscle memory. At the moment

my mind is blown.

We are going to do

it again and again until Molly gets

it perfectly and we are

synchronised.

The rumba is the

slowest of the Latin dances and that

makes it more difficult. You're so

open to any mistake.

You have to be

precise in every step. One, two...

And you need to feel the music with

the movement of your body. I know

Shirley is going to pay a lot of

attention, as she loves the rumba.

What I need to do is relax and do

the movement and enjoy it. Because

this is going to be a special number

for us.

It has been tiring a

quickstep is energetic. It is quite

complicated. There is lots of

rhythms and steps.

The comply

Cailleted part is that the steps

repeat, but all in different order

and speeds.

I'm quite exhausted. The

hardest part is maintaining the

energy and remembering which rhythms

you're going into it. Oh!

I'm loving

learning the Argentine tango. It is

very leggy and pointed feet and I

just feel right in it.

The technique is coming along really

well and the legs, beautiful legs.

My biggest problem is to make myself

relax so I can do the technique

properly and I'm just not very good

at relaxing.

Relax. We have the

legs. We have the passion. All we

need to do now is relax. And put it

on show a bit more.

I

love it, because I treat it like a

sporting event. Those that have

endurance and those that can perform

in front of a big crowd. I think is

the most brilliant shared

experience... I have conversations

with everyone all over the place

about it, just like the Olympic.

the queue at the garage, the

supermarket, the library... I'm in

the library all the time! You are a

massive fan of the show, have you

had any favourite moments?

Aston's

paso doble broke me. I thought

Kevin's, Kevin and Susan's dance

from the Strictly Ballroom, like

someone living their dream and

loving it. So many.

Russell so many

gorgeous memories. You were dancing

with. Welcome back. Let's talk about

Susan and Kevin. Tomorrow, an

American smooth, it has a nautical

theme. Could it be perfect smooth

sailing for you, Russell? Tell me

what you think.

I love Susan because

she is full of joy and I love the

joy. I really saw the joy come out

when they did the jive, the painting

on the wall. I love her because its

infectiousness. I think if I was a

woman, I'd be Susan.

Susan's my friend that

I can't believe how well she's taken

to it. And she's not a dancer. I

think she's embraced the whole

rumba time. People can go either way

on this. There has never been a

perfect score for a rumba.

this be the one? I think if anyone

is going to bring it, it's hard.

dance. She's got the intensity, the

strength, and she's got that Latin

fire in her. Her last dance was

absolutely insane. She's just...

Like they said... Is there anything

she can't do?

Is there a

touch of Alesha Dixon is there? I

just loved that cha-cha-cha they did

a couple weeks ago, I loved it so

much, because the music matched. The

music has to match the dance, you

feel it. When you get that music,

you just can't stop!

I'm lost in him! We are going on to

Davood and Nadiya. Great scores for

them last week. They are creeping up

here. They have a waltz this

weekend, a tricky one because it is

so slow, it can be exposing. If they

are in training, what do you think?

I think Davood has improved so much,

growing with the competition. He is

clearly very fit and sporty anyway.

He has a beautiful head carriage,

like a horse in dressage. I just

hope they wear a proper outfit.

took all the bed sheets this

morning.

Actually, no, but I'll let you know

I was doing the rumba and I think

the driver thought I was a bit crazy

because I was going four, 12... He

just practising in my head.

Never have Swivels been

as terrifying as this.

This year's Strictly Pro Challenge

is going back in time to the roaring

1920s, where they will attempt to

set a world record title for the

most swivel steps in 30 seconds. In

order for the swivel step to qualify

our pros will have to complete on

Ford on one backward step. If there

is no swivel in the feet and ankles,

the step will be disqualified. This

year's challenge will be the hardest

our pros have ever faced, but only

one person can claim the title. It's

the Strictly Pro Challenge 2017.

Slovenia about 9 years ago, that's

all I've been doing.

to verify every single swivel come

to make sure they were accurate. Are

at their version of Strictly.

over the world and where are we off

to today? Ireland, of course, why

else would I be wearing a shamrock

my head?

Ireland's version of Strictly is

called dancing with the stars on the

first series aired in January of

this year.

Tonight, the world's most

popular dancing extravaganza has

reached Ireland. Welcome to Dancing

With The Stars.

Last week the series

proved to be a big hit and in June

it was announced it would be

returning for a second series. There

are a few familiar faces from the

Strictly family, including one of

the judges comment Nicky Byrne, who

got to the quarterfinals in 2000

while. I have come to meet him to

find out a little more about the

show. -- in 2012. So you were a

contestant on Strictly Come Dancing

but now you are hosting it?

Yes,

when I heard the rumours last year

dancing with the stars was coming to

Ireland I thought, I have to be part

of this and how.

asked myself and Amanda to do part

of the group dance. We didn't have

much of a rehearsal, two hours. Do

What are the judges like

compared to here?

Pretty similar. We

have Lorraine, Brian and Julian.

me about the most memorable moments?

This guy Hughie had been on Big

know is the pro dancers have to

rehearsing this week so I thought

the biggest differences between the

Irish dancing with the stars and

Strictly.

We have some lovely

themes. Last year we had a beautiful

Valentine's vehicle. And we have the

Irish week, St Patrick's Day, the

Riverdance and the energy they

produce is unbelievable.

We have the

switch up, that means the couples

get to dance with another partner

during that episode eight creates

different stressesches

Jealousy.

What have

been the most memorable moments.

Contemporary ballroom. Des doing his

paso doble and Austin Powers number.

We have had some stand out moment

and looking forward the season two

and there is a lot of work to do

between now and then.

It is so

exciting to see another series

starting, I was going to wish them

good luck, but as the Irish say, if

you're lucky enough to be Irish,

then you're lucky enough!

with their dramatic Paso Doble.

I loved that flamenco. That was

fantastic.

At times it looked like a

paso doble that had shrank in the

wash.

You covered the floor well.

You had some nice styling. Well

gripped the nation. It was a big

moment for you, did the weekend live

up to expectations?

Absolutely,

Blackpool was everything I thought

and more. Being in the Tower

ballroom doing the dance was one of

greatest moments of my life.

that I say! Serious amount of love

there. I love Fridays, you both have

your tans.

I can see myself on the

screen.

You can get emotional in

these routines, what was going

through your mind?

Just pride that

we had made to it Blackpool from

starting off not knowing if we would

make week three or four. It was a in

a big flamenco dress and he had his

wee gold jacket. I felt proud we had

made it there to do the dance that

Kevin had wanted to do.

Kevin is

your dream dance. Did you think,

there is a lot of pressure to put on

two things.

I don't want to do it.

But she did do you proud.

She did

amazingly. I wanted to do this for

years and paso is supposed to be the

man's dance in general, but I had

the this vision of having Susan in

the middle of the floor and doing

the flamenco and I thought, what I

would love is if everyone starts

clapping along. But it only happen

if Susan's big enough with the

performance. Off she went... Look at

that.

And the whole crowd...

Started

straightaway. I got chills down my

spine. I went, they're doing it, it

is happening, the moment I have been

waiting for.

You made him so happy.

Such an iconic film. I wonder if

anyone from the film has been in

touch?

We have had the musical have

been in touch saying we did them

proud. Because Strictly is coming as

a musical to the west end.

You're getting emotional. Beyond the

sea, Bobby Darren, it is a classic.

This has been my favourite week in

Strictly. We are doing a beautiful

Fred and Ginger American Smooth and

it is gorgeous and fun and

romantic... He doesn't know it yet,

but it is. In every dance I'm going

to kiss you and he says, no, it's

not appropriate.

And the concept?

On

the deck of a ship and very Fred and

Ginger style and I'm a naval captain

and Susan's a passenger on the ship

and we are courting.

It is such a

good word.

We are in the early

stages of romance. We might kiss. We

are going to kiss, we are going to

kiss.

You haven't done a lift since

the Charleston, you have been

getting the giggles.

Yes it is

really high up and I'm very short

and anyone above five foot is

terrifying. We have been trying some

ambitious lifts and I kept

screaming, put me down, I'm

frightened. But it will be OK, won't

it?

I will do me best.

Before you

go, I have to ask you about a tweet

you sent to a fan. We do the rumba

in the training room to make

ourselves laugh. No one will ever

see it. No one. You then go on to

say, we rumba to another level's

Freak Me. I don't think anyone needs

to see that. Well, we disagree. We

think people need to see it. Kevin

I'm a come per, but I'm called a

warm up guy who entertains the

audience before the show. I have

been doing it for 12 years.

You do a

brilliant show.

I'm the best in my

Have you ever learned

to dance?

You know what? It is a

very good question, because, no, I

know all the dances of Latin and

ballroom, but never danced. It would

be a dream come true if I could

dance.

I'm sure one of pros will be

watching.

Only Giovanni has offered.

You're famous for your attire. I see

you brought a selection with you.

I

like a whacky suit. I have got about

25 suits. These are a small

selection of the ones I will wear on

a Saturday night. So you have got...

You are themed. You do movie nights

and Hallowe'en.

I have a couple

here. I will have a suit for the

special nights that we do here. So

we have got great, like a love heart

one, TV test card. Not sure whether

you can see that. But you have got a

confety, galaxy and for the

special... Kind of nights, very

light.

It makes the one you're

wearing look dull.

This has a trick

up its sleeve. You press a button

and... We have gone all neon. This

will be making an appearance on the

final.

You have fun with the judges.

Who is your favourite.

I would say

Craig. I have known him a long time.

Well about three faces ago. We go

back a long way. That guy's the

single reason why aliens refuse to

make contact us with.

He is looking

great these days.

I he is. Nice to

meet you.

I love that boy.

where we all try to hold

back the tears.

This series has been such

an emotional rollercoaster

for our celebrities,

and they really couldn't do it

without their partners.

I don't think I could have had a

better partner than Giovanni. We

have so much fun together. And he is

such a lovely human being.

We are

both on the same page. Debbie's such

an amazing person to work with.

Molly is the perfect partner for me.

I want affection and we are striving

for that.

He has taught me so much

about dancing and about life. I feel

like the luckiest girl ever are I

week.

I like Sandra she is always

someone who comes every day and

loves everything what she does. I'm

going to miss her when this finish.

He has taught me what real

partnership means. I hope he

realises that. Without him I

wouldn't have been able to get

through this at all. I'm very,

very... Thankful for his... Just for

him.

I've learned so much from

Aljaz. I have learned to believe in

myself.

She is pushing me as much as
