Live from the strictly ballroom,
this is strictly It Takes Two. | 0:00:49 | 0:00:55
Please welcome your host, Zoe Ball.
CHEERING | 0:00:55 | 0:01:08
Mwah! Mwah! Oh! Get out of here you
are so gorgeous! | 0:01:08 | 0:01:21
Hello and welcome to the last | 0:01:21 | 0:01:22
It Takes Two of the series! | 0:01:22 | 0:01:26
Thank you, Anton. | 0:01:26 | 0:01:29
A thank you to our
gorgeous pro dancers! | 0:01:29 | 0:01:31
Now we've got a bit
more room tonight. | 0:01:31 | 0:01:33
We've taken over Strictly's ballroom
and for the next hour | 0:01:33 | 0:01:36
we'll be looking back
at an unforgettable series. | 0:01:36 | 0:01:38
For one last time I'll be chatting
to our four finalists | 0:01:38 | 0:01:42
and on the Friday panel -
the boys are back in town - | 0:01:42 | 0:01:45
Rufus Hound, Tom Allen
and Ian Waite will all be here! | 0:01:45 | 0:01:47
But first, I can't do
a Friday show without him - | 0:01:47 | 0:01:50
it's time to bring out my divine
stunt double - Mr Gethin Jones! | 0:01:50 | 0:01:57
# He's the greatest dancer... #
How are you darling? I'm good. What | 0:01:57 | 0:02:12
are you doing tonight? Eugh! We've
got the finalists and the rest of | 0:02:12 | 0:02:17
the couples who have made 2017 so
much fun and really special. I feel | 0:02:17 | 0:02:25
a bit like Ayman and Ruth, you are
Ruth! Let's meet our first | 0:02:25 | 0:02:33
finalists. | 0:02:33 | 0:02:34
This couple never fail to bring
a smile to our faces, | 0:02:34 | 0:02:37
they've lit up the dance floor every
weekend with some truly | 0:02:37 | 0:02:40
dazzling routines and we
have loved every step. | 0:02:40 | 0:02:41
So let's put our hands in the air
one last time as we take a look | 0:02:41 | 0:02:45
at Gemma and Aljaz's Strictly story. | 0:02:45 | 0:02:48
I wanted to be a bit more ladylike.
That would please my mum, anyway. | 0:02:48 | 0:02:57
The first downs of the cha cha cha.
Three, four, and one. It was cheeky | 0:02:57 | 0:03:06
and flirty, and you produced the
goods on the night. Well done. No | 0:03:06 | 0:03:10
dance comes naturally to me at all.
I have just really struggled with | 0:03:10 | 0:03:14
the steps. You kept your frame up,
your head was up, very impressive | 0:03:14 | 0:03:20
today. It was full of character and
energy, and I thought it was | 0:03:20 | 0:03:30
brilliant. I'm loving being part of
Strictly. I really am starting to | 0:03:30 | 0:03:39
fall in love with learning to dance.
I really and truly loved it. You | 0:03:39 | 0:03:48
really are becoming a polished Gem!
Second, unbelievable. It is | 0:03:48 | 0:03:59
incredible. The front runners in
this competition need to start | 0:03:59 | 0:04:04
looking behind them, darling. Gemma
is the perfect partner for me. She's | 0:04:04 | 0:04:14
pushing me as much as I am pushing
her. And we are halfway through. She | 0:04:14 | 0:04:19
has a much talent, so much
potential. There were some mistakes | 0:04:19 | 0:04:26
and the beginning when you started
off, you got on the wrong foot. I | 0:04:26 | 0:04:31
didn't forget the beginning. You did
forget the beginning. We are going | 0:04:31 | 0:04:36
to come back fighting. I want to
graft and rap, and look back with | 0:04:36 | 0:04:41
Alianza and say that we did it all
with a smile on our face. Don't | 0:04:41 | 0:04:48
think it, let yourself do it,
especially on the salsa. Every | 0:04:48 | 0:04:54
single week, I drive myself crazy
with anxiety, worry and fear that | 0:04:54 | 0:04:58
something's going to go wrong. I
have noticed a great difference in | 0:04:58 | 0:05:04
your eye level, which was brilliant.
I never in a million years thought I | 0:05:04 | 0:05:09
could put on a dainty frock and look
so elegant on the dance floor. You | 0:05:09 | 0:05:14
are getting better and better every
week. Fantastic. The improvement is | 0:05:14 | 0:05:21
out of this world. It almost looks
like it's not the same person. And I | 0:05:21 | 0:05:25
love that, to see her going from
zero to hero. I could not be more | 0:05:25 | 0:05:29
proud of. We got a standing ovation
from Shirley, wow! Two nines. | 0:05:29 | 0:05:39
Really?! I thought this dance
exposed your weaknesses, sadly. I | 0:05:39 | 0:05:49
feel sick every time I'm waiting for
the results. Praying that it stays | 0:05:49 | 0:05:54
white, and then when it does, it is
the best feeling ever. I thought it | 0:05:54 | 0:06:00
needed to be a bit lighter, but I
love the theatricality of it all. | 0:06:00 | 0:06:08
Everything I have done training wise
over the past living weeks has to go | 0:06:08 | 0:06:12
out of the window for the rumba.
There have been some days when I | 0:06:12 | 0:06:17
have cracked and have a good old cry
with Alianza, but he has got me | 0:06:17 | 0:06:21
through it. He is so patient with
me. He has been great. I would love | 0:06:21 | 0:06:28
to get to the pile. It would be a
big thank you from me to him. -- get | 0:06:28 | 0:06:33
to the final. The determination, the
passion, very nice work. I never | 0:06:33 | 0:06:40
realised how little Levi had it
myself until I started dancing. | 0:06:40 | 0:06:47
Gemma and Aljaz, I am gutted for
you, as well. To get this far and be | 0:06:47 | 0:06:52
eliminated would be devastating.
Gemma and Aljaz. Gemma and Aljaz. | 0:06:52 | 0:06:57
You are the winners. You are through
to next week's final. We have come | 0:06:57 | 0:07:04
so far in the competition. I've gone
from not ever taken a step in my | 0:07:04 | 0:07:09
life in dancing, the being a
finalist either I am so proud of | 0:07:09 | 0:07:15
Alianza, for helping me believe in
myself. Hello, it is going to | 0:07:15 | 0:07:22
happen. | 0:07:22 | 0:07:26
How does it feel to watch that back
and just how much you have done? It | 0:07:26 | 0:07:32
is crazy, but what I love about
watching it back without finding it | 0:07:32 | 0:07:36
ridiculous, we have laughed in
everyone, and the fact that we have | 0:07:36 | 0:07:39
managed to get here with that
journey, having fun, I literally | 0:07:39 | 0:07:44
could not be more happy and I am so
proud of you for getting me here. | 0:07:44 | 0:07:48
You have dragged me, we have done
it! I feel more ladylike now. You | 0:07:48 | 0:08:01
have had some peers, Alijaz. What
has been the best thing about | 0:08:01 | 0:08:11
dancing with the skill? There has
never been a dull moment. I have | 0:08:11 | 0:08:15
said that a million times. Every
day, there was never an old joke, is | 0:08:15 | 0:08:21
always something new, something
funny. And we say Merry Christmas. | 0:08:21 | 0:08:29
Traditional! As much as I enjoyed
doing the show here in the studio, I | 0:08:29 | 0:08:37
enjoy the rehearsals. And one of the
highlights was doing It Takes Two | 0:08:37 | 0:08:42
every week. We have had so much
fun... Put your hands up! I will | 0:08:42 | 0:08:49
never be able to stop that! How has
preparation gone today? Rehearsals, | 0:08:49 | 0:08:56
three dancers. It has gone well...
Very well. I genuinely didn't think | 0:08:56 | 0:09:02
that it would because we had a bit
of a wobble on Wednesday. But we | 0:09:02 | 0:09:07
have got here today, with a
different space and lighting and | 0:09:07 | 0:09:10
people watching, it is like, we did
the first dance fine, the showdowns, | 0:09:10 | 0:09:16
fine, the second dance, some things
we need to work on, we have watched | 0:09:16 | 0:09:20
it back and it is good to watch it
back. I feel like I still have the | 0:09:20 | 0:09:24
slippers on. It is perfect. Can you
believe that it is 116 days ago that | 0:09:24 | 0:09:32
you first met, back in August. Do
you remember your first impressions | 0:09:32 | 0:09:36
of each other back then? Yeah, I
remember thinking I was going to get | 0:09:36 | 0:09:42
on with him because straightaway, we
thought, we're going to have fun. I | 0:09:42 | 0:09:47
was like, yes. But I said to my mum,
when we did the training, I said, | 0:09:47 | 0:09:55
height wise, there is one of them,
Aljaz, I got on with him and I think | 0:09:55 | 0:10:03
I would have a laugh with him. That
is what I said to my mum. And here | 0:10:03 | 0:10:07
we are. Speaking of your mum, it is
not just Aljaz it was very proud of | 0:10:07 | 0:10:13
you. There are some special people
who have some lovely messages for | 0:10:13 | 0:10:16
you. Jimoh was always a tomboy. She
always wanted to be on a go-kart, or | 0:10:16 | 0:10:24
in the garage with her grandad. She
was very lovely and caring, a lovely | 0:10:24 | 0:10:29
girl. Gemma is good fun. Always
there if you need her. She is a | 0:10:29 | 0:10:33
brilliant sister. When I saw Gemma
stepping out on the first night, it | 0:10:33 | 0:10:41
was like, use this? Because it was
fabulous! Just watching her, it | 0:10:41 | 0:10:48
absolutely blew me away. She just
looked like a superstar to me. It | 0:10:48 | 0:10:52
was emotional. It was. | 0:10:52 | 0:11:03
She got her first pens, then and I
was so proud of her. She is so | 0:11:04 | 0:11:10
focused, she keeps going and she
wants to do everybody proud. If you | 0:11:10 | 0:11:14
had said to me 12 months ago that
Jenna would have made the final, I | 0:11:14 | 0:11:18
would have laughed at you. We have
seen her develop, this duckling, | 0:11:18 | 0:11:25
into this swan. And it has been a
fabulous journey, and we are very, | 0:11:25 | 0:11:29
very proud of her. We wish you loads
and loads of luck for the final. You | 0:11:29 | 0:11:36
can do this, you have been
absolutely amazing. Good luck. Good | 0:11:36 | 0:11:42
luck, auntie Gemma, you can do this.
We love you loads. Everybody is | 0:11:42 | 0:11:45
really proud of you. See you, Gemma,
bring that trophy home! That were so | 0:11:45 | 0:11:56
lovely. So sweet. What do you want
to say to all of your amazing | 0:11:56 | 0:12:02
supporters? Just thank you. I know
that it has been tough for my | 0:12:02 | 0:12:07
family. Here, we have put on a brave
face, and we do it, but when we are | 0:12:07 | 0:12:13
home, if I had a tough day, it is
them that I'm on the phone to, | 0:12:13 | 0:12:19
everyone at the radio station,
they've given me time off to do | 0:12:19 | 0:12:22
this. And last but not least, to
you, you have changed my life, kid, | 0:12:22 | 0:12:26
you have taught me how to dance.
Thank you. I could not have been | 0:12:26 | 0:12:32
happier. You knew what, that is the
easiest job I have ever done, | 0:12:32 | 0:12:36
teaching you to dance, every single
day. And look at us, if you watch | 0:12:36 | 0:12:41
back that first downs and what is it
to happen tomorrow, it does not | 0:12:41 | 0:12:44
matter how it goes, what the end
result is, you have achieved so much | 0:12:44 | 0:12:48
in such a little tired. We have
achieved. You have achieved! It is a | 0:12:48 | 0:12:56
family, you have brought as so many
great memories and semi last. We | 0:12:56 | 0:12:59
have loved having you on.
CHEERING | 0:12:59 | 0:13:07
We're so close to the
Strictly final now. | 0:13:07 | 0:13:13
It is 24 hours, 16 minutes and 54
seconds away. | 0:13:13 | 0:13:17
I'm feeling excited - | 0:13:17 | 0:13:18
but how are the class
of 2017 feeling? | 0:13:18 | 0:13:19
Let's head over to Gethin who's
with some of them now. | 0:13:19 | 0:13:26
It has been emotional. | 0:13:26 | 0:13:28
Look who I've found. | 0:13:28 | 0:13:29
It's Chizzy, Aston,
Charlotte and Jonnie! | 0:13:29 | 0:13:30
Welcome back! | 0:13:30 | 0:13:32
How does it feel returning
to the ballroom? | 0:13:32 | 0:13:37
It is lovely, and having no
pressure! It is really nice. You're | 0:13:37 | 0:13:44
missing brewing. He had a stand-in,
today, like a mock with his face on. | 0:13:44 | 0:13:50
We will miss you, Brian. What has it
been like hanging out with the class | 0:13:50 | 0:13:58
of 2017? We went out for lunch
yesterday which was brilliant. We | 0:13:58 | 0:14:01
were so lucky this year. We have had
such a laugh from start to finish. I | 0:14:01 | 0:14:06
cannot wait until tomorrow. We have
not seen you for ages. Have you been | 0:14:06 | 0:14:12
keeping up with dancing? No, no. If
anybody knows Pasha's address, let | 0:14:12 | 0:14:22
me know, we're running out of time.
I love this bunch of people. It has | 0:14:22 | 0:14:26
been a great time. Jonnie, you know
a thing or two about finals. The | 0:14:26 | 0:14:34
nerves that kick in. Are you looking
forward to tomorrow night? It is | 0:14:34 | 0:14:39
going to be a great night. Crazy
that it has come round is quick but | 0:14:39 | 0:14:43
everyone is going to be so excited,
they just have to go out and have | 0:14:43 | 0:14:47
fun and enjoy it because it'll be
the last time they get to do this on | 0:14:47 | 0:14:50
this stage. Jonnie has had a haircut
specially for the final! Extensions! | 0:14:50 | 0:14:57
Zoe, back to you! | 0:14:57 | 0:15:02
Right, let's bring out
our next finalists. | 0:15:02 | 0:15:03
This couple put a spell on us
from the very first moment | 0:15:03 | 0:15:06
they hit the dancefloor. | 0:15:06 | 0:15:08
Whether wowing us in ballroom
or turning up the heat in latin, | 0:15:08 | 0:15:11
there's only one word to describe
them - magic. | 0:15:11 | 0:15:13
Let's take a look at Debbie
and Giovanni's Strictly story. | 0:15:13 | 0:15:20
I still pinch myself every day when
I get up, I can't believe it's | 0:15:20 | 0:15:26
actually happening to me. It's
Giovanni. He is the partner I | 0:15:26 | 0:15:31
wanted, all my dreams came true.
First dance is going to be a Paso | 0:15:31 | 0:15:36
Doble. I love it already. She's got
moves. You are on fire, Debbie! | 0:15:36 | 0:15:43
Whatever Giovanni has done to you,
darling. It's working, because you | 0:15:43 | 0:15:48
are dancing like a 20-year-old. It
could not be lovier, my dear Debbie. | 0:15:48 | 0:15:55
Amazing! Top of the leaderboard. I
still can't believe that. Giovanni | 0:15:55 | 0:16:03
found out I was ticklish. No, I will
not. Every time she got it wrong... | 0:16:03 | 0:16:10
It's a nightmare. I love that
classic Hollywood style. I felt it | 0:16:10 | 0:16:20
looked like a barbie doll doing this
particular dance. Doing the | 0:16:20 | 0:16:25
cha-cha-cha I knew that I hadn't
quite got it, so in my head you just | 0:16:25 | 0:16:30
have to do the best you can do,
girl. We got through it. Absolutely. | 0:16:30 | 0:16:35
He was brilliant. Both of us. I have
never seen a standing leg as | 0:16:35 | 0:16:43
beautifully straight as your
standing leg. Giovanni darling! | 0:16:43 | 0:16:49
Debbie, darling, I love, love! Well
done. Beautiful. I had quite a lot | 0:16:49 | 0:16:59
of low moments. On some of those
days where all I want to do is cry, | 0:16:59 | 0:17:06
Giavanni will make me laugh and say,
come on, we have to do something. | 0:17:06 | 0:17:12
Clean, precise, absolutely
incredible. How you produce those | 0:17:12 | 0:17:16
crazy lifts. I am going to give you
my Queen of Latin Crown. Because you | 0:17:16 | 0:17:22
deserve it. From now on I have to
call you, your majesty? Flawless. | 0:17:22 | 0:17:33
You gave me tingles down my back.
Four tens! Can't believe it! I am | 0:17:33 | 0:17:43
really proud of Debbie, every
Saturday she delivers the best | 0:17:43 | 0:17:47
performance that we could ask for.
Whatever you are on, darling, I want | 0:17:47 | 0:17:52
some. That is absolutely ridiculous!
I am really proud of that lift | 0:17:52 | 0:17:56
because no one else has ever done it
on Strictly and we're going to | 0:17:56 | 0:18:01
Blackpool. Thank you for bringing
girl power to the tower! It was a | 0:18:01 | 0:18:07
little bit spiky, a little bit
stiff. It was lacking in energy by | 0:18:07 | 0:18:11
the very end. When it is your light
that goes red, your heart just | 0:18:11 | 0:18:16
sinks. It's just that fear that
you're going to go. Debbie and | 0:18:16 | 0:18:22
Giovanni. It was such a relief. You
just want to get through. I felt my | 0:18:22 | 0:18:27
age today, I am really tired and I
am just not very good at relaxing. I | 0:18:27 | 0:18:32
have never seen balance like that,
you are outstanding. Your legs were | 0:18:32 | 0:18:37
like a paintbrush in the hand of a
great artist. Quarter-final! Ready | 0:18:37 | 0:18:45
to go? Absolutely. It was just
beautiful. I am purring with | 0:18:45 | 0:18:54
delight. | 0:18:54 | 0:18:56
That dance I think will always stay
in my heart because it was so | 0:18:58 | 0:19:03
beautiful. My experience of Strictly
has been nothing but happiness. And | 0:19:03 | 0:19:10
mostly because of Giovanni. We have
one of the most beautiful | 0:19:10 | 0:19:14
relationships, it's just been great
from the beginning. Your agility, | 0:19:14 | 0:19:19
how crisp those kicks are is
extraordinary. It was a sparkling | 0:19:19 | 0:19:23
jive. It's given me the opportunity
to show that I have had my own | 0:19:23 | 0:19:28
talent. It flowed brilliantly, I
loved it! Having had two very sad | 0:19:28 | 0:19:38
years, where I really felt I had
lost my sparkle, Strictly's brought | 0:19:38 | 0:19:45
my sparkle back. She's just a lovely
lady and she deserves the best in | 0:19:45 | 0:19:51
her life. Debbie and Giovanni
welcome! Everybody's getting | 0:19:51 | 0:19:57
emotional today and I am not
surprised. How does it feel to watch | 0:19:57 | 0:19:59
that back, Debbie? It's just
amazing. It's been such a fantastic | 0:19:59 | 0:20:04
time. You know, the fact that the
viewers have voted us and we are | 0:20:04 | 0:20:08
through to the final and watching
everything is just, it's just been | 0:20:08 | 0:20:12
so special. He's been so special. He
is quite special. Debbie, you are | 0:20:12 | 0:20:17
pretty special too! Debbie has
literally bent over backwards to get | 0:20:17 | 0:20:23
to the final. How proud are you of
this wonderful woman? Well, I keep | 0:20:23 | 0:20:29
saying this every day, I couldn't be
more proud, because it's not just | 0:20:29 | 0:20:35
about dancing. I think, now she's
better as a performer, human being, | 0:20:35 | 0:20:40
when you start she was a little bit
less confident than what she is now. | 0:20:40 | 0:20:47
She's as a friend as well,
friendship is really nice and | 0:20:47 | 0:20:50
spending every day with her in the
training room has opinion just | 0:20:50 | 0:20:54
great. The best time of my life. I
am really, really proud. I think we | 0:20:54 | 0:21:00
have seen that, your friendship
grow. Debbie, so close to the final, | 0:21:00 | 0:21:05
how are the nerves, have you felt
any different today than before? Am | 0:21:05 | 0:21:09
I not helping! We don't want to
think about nerves. No, at the | 0:21:09 | 0:21:15
moment we just really enjoyed the
rehearsals today. We love the dances | 0:21:15 | 0:21:21
we're doing. It just feels such an
honour to be in the final. I just | 0:21:21 | 0:21:26
want to have a wonderful time.
Trying not to get nervous and just | 0:21:26 | 0:21:31
remembering that we have laughed for
this whole series and I hope that | 0:21:31 | 0:21:34
tomorrow we will laugh through the
day as well. That's what I keep | 0:21:34 | 0:21:38
saying to Debbie as well. It's not
about tomorrow night, it's about the | 0:21:38 | 0:21:41
journey. Tomorrow what will be will
be. That's how we say it, right. | 0:21:41 | 0:21:48
That's how you say it! Listen, if we
win, if we don't win, doesn't | 0:21:48 | 0:21:54
matter, we are in the final. We
enjoy all the way through. I am glad | 0:21:54 | 0:21:58
that I have met one of the best
friends ever I could ask for and | 0:21:58 | 0:22:03
thank you, just thank you. I will
say the public will want lifts and | 0:22:03 | 0:22:07
legs from you two tomorrow. Are we
going to get that aplenty, have you | 0:22:07 | 0:22:13
gone Fulham full foeshs ambitious
tomorrow 200%. A lot of splits. | 0:22:13 | 0:22:29
Don't give too much. What are we
going to do when this is over! What | 0:22:29 | 0:22:36
will you miss the most about dancing
with this gorgeous one? The | 0:22:36 | 0:22:39
happiness. As soon as he starts to
dance he makes you smile. Because | 0:22:39 | 0:22:44
there's this kind of feeling that
comes off Giovanni as soon as he | 0:22:44 | 0:22:48
starts to move and every day I have
felt that for the last four months. | 0:22:48 | 0:22:51
So I will really, really miss that.
I understand. I understand what | 0:22:51 | 0:22:54
she's saying. You do obviously! Who
wouldn't feel like that! Debbie, | 0:22:54 | 0:23:01
tissues at the ready. We have some
wonderful messages for you now from | 0:23:01 | 0:23:05
your nearest and dearest.
Debbie was always very girly girly. | 0:23:05 | 0:23:13
Loved pretty little dresses and
playing with dolls. Ever since she | 0:23:13 | 0:23:19
was a little girl she's enjoyed
entertaining and always wanted to go | 0:23:19 | 0:23:25
on stage. When Debbie did her first
dance I had tears. She went through | 0:23:25 | 0:23:34
a really tough time losing her dad
and then losing Paul and for a few | 0:23:34 | 0:23:40
months she was very, very down. Then
she got Strictly and the sparkle | 0:23:40 | 0:23:45
came back. What Debbie has been
doing at her age is amazing and it's | 0:23:45 | 0:23:49
really, really lovely the amount of
people that I speak to who are | 0:23:49 | 0:23:54
inspired to start dancing because of
it. She's such an entertainer and | 0:23:54 | 0:24:00
such a great performer and she's
doing herself proud. If Paul could | 0:24:00 | 0:24:07
see her now and how well she's done
he would be overjoyed. Good luck, | 0:24:07 | 0:24:12
Debbie, go out and grab that
glitterball on Saturday, we know you | 0:24:12 | 0:24:15
can do it. We love you so much, we
are rooting for you. I am so proud | 0:24:15 | 0:24:19
of you, lovely sis. Good luck on
Saturday. Love you to bits. Debbie, | 0:24:19 | 0:24:24
I just want you to know how proud I
am of you and I know your dad would | 0:24:24 | 0:24:32
be doubly proud. So just go out
there and smash it love. | 0:24:32 | 0:24:39
Oh! Wonderful. Your family. We have
all gone. Me too. Goodness me. What | 0:24:39 | 0:24:47
has the support meant to you,
Debbie? It's just been incredible. | 0:24:47 | 0:24:52
All my family and friends, where I
live in the village. They send me, I | 0:24:52 | 0:24:59
get 100 messages every Saturday.
Then wherever Giovanni have gone and | 0:24:59 | 0:25:03
I have gone, the public have just
been amazing. That's been a huge | 0:25:03 | 0:25:10
part of being on Strictly, is people
have shown me how much they love me | 0:25:10 | 0:25:17
and that's something that you can
never buy. No, you're absolutely | 0:25:17 | 0:25:21
right. Giovanni, do you have
anything to say to Debbie? As I said | 0:25:21 | 0:25:25
before, I just want to say thank you
for being amazing partner, but most | 0:25:25 | 0:25:32
important thing thank you for being
yourself and I love you lots. So | 0:25:32 | 0:25:37
much love in this room! Debbie and
Giovanni, we have loved it, we can't | 0:25:37 | 0:25:42
wait to see the legs and all
tomorrow. Flexi-McGee, you are a | 0:25:42 | 0:25:49
legend. Debbie and Giovanni!
APPLAUSE AND CHEERING | 0:25:49 | 0:25:56
Now, what do Susan Calman,
Darvid Ghadami and Ruth Langsford | 0:25:56 | 0:25:58
all have in common? | 0:25:58 | 0:25:59
Any clue? | 0:25:59 | 0:26:00
They're in touching distance
to Gethin - lucky things. | 0:26:00 | 0:26:02
Let's see how they're getting on. | 0:26:02 | 0:26:05
Top it you lot! Tell you what,
tickets are so scarce for the | 0:26:05 | 0:26:09
Strictly final that some celebs have
had to reserve seats right now. | 0:26:09 | 0:26:12
Isn't that right? We have had to
fight for these seats, I don't think | 0:26:12 | 0:26:16
we are going to be moved. We are
going to stay here until tomorrow. | 0:26:16 | 0:26:20
This is it. Ready to go. The
finalists are now your friends of | 0:26:20 | 0:26:24
course, have you lent them your
lucky socks? They mean too much to | 0:26:24 | 0:26:28
me. I want to frame them on the
wall. I might wear them myself. You | 0:26:28 | 0:26:33
will be here. That's true. The
question on everyone's lips is, have | 0:26:33 | 0:26:40
you got a tattoo? I haven't yet
because I am doing the tour, I | 0:26:40 | 0:26:45
didn't want a wound on my foot. I am
booking it in for March, it is | 0:26:45 | 0:26:51
happening, just not before the tour,
I want to dance well on the tour. We | 0:26:51 | 0:26:55
can not wait for that. Back with
Kevin, what's it been like | 0:26:55 | 0:26:59
rehearsing today, back with him in
hold? The most difficult part about | 0:26:59 | 0:27:02
leaving the show was not seeing
Kevin every day. It feels like I am | 0:27:02 | 0:27:05
back with my best mate today and I
have never been happier than seeing | 0:27:05 | 0:27:08
his smiling face. We have had a
brilliant time. Yeah, it's been | 0:27:08 | 0:27:13
great to see him again. I have
missed him! Good luck with that | 0:27:13 | 0:27:18
tomorrow. So many good dances to
look forward to. Show dances in | 0:27:18 | 0:27:22
particular. I love the show dances,
it's my favourite part of the | 0:27:22 | 0:27:25
series, we all had to learn dances
but to see people doing their own | 0:27:25 | 0:27:29
thing and they're always amazing.
Can't wait to see those. I am going | 0:27:29 | 0:27:33
to miss a show dance without you and
Anton. Everyone would have loved to | 0:27:33 | 0:27:37
see that. Enjoy the show tomorrow. I
will get the snacks ready for | 0:27:37 | 0:27:42
tomorrow. Cool. Thank you very much.
Lovely gang. Time to welcome my | 0:27:42 | 0:27:50
final Friday panel of the series.
Please welcome Rufus Hound, Tom | 0:27:50 | 0:28:02
Allen and Ian Waite!
OK, here we are it's the Eve of the | 0:28:02 | 0:28:08
2017 final. Where will you be
watching tomorrow night, Tom? | 0:28:08 | 0:28:11
Watching at my mum and dad's house,
that's where I live. And I will be | 0:28:11 | 0:28:19
dressed as Debbie McGee. Which era?
The exact outfit she will be wearing | 0:28:19 | 0:28:25
tomorrow. Please tweet photos. Ian,
you have been keeping a strict - | 0:28:25 | 0:28:29
look at you all happy. This feels
really weird to be sitting down not | 0:28:29 | 0:28:33
doing something. Nice of some of us
to make an effort, Ian! I look like | 0:28:33 | 0:28:39
I have a darts match on after. Tough
competition, it's so tight. They've | 0:28:39 | 0:28:48
all got something. I love Gemma and
Aljaz. They've got this wonderful | 0:28:48 | 0:29:00
relationship. Then you have
flexy-McGee who can do everything. | 0:29:00 | 0:29:07
Alexandra so expressive,
unbelievable. Then Joe who is just | 0:29:07 | 0:29:11
improved, he has gone on the J-word,
the journey. Are these the four you | 0:29:11 | 0:29:16
expected at the beginning? No, I
think that's fair to say, don't | 0:29:16 | 0:29:20
think anybody necessarily had these
four in the pool. We were all | 0:29:20 | 0:29:23
expecting to see Aston. Forgive me,
because they're all brilliant and we | 0:29:23 | 0:29:27
love them all, it's Christmas and
let's not be mean. But it would have | 0:29:27 | 0:29:32
been lovely to see either a Susan or
a Reverend Richard or... Maybe you | 0:29:32 | 0:29:43
next year. I amen's wife Ruth. --
I'men's wife. Joe, last man | 0:29:43 | 0:29:55
standing. -- Eamon. He has impressed
me so much. Viennese waltz. It's not | 0:29:55 | 0:30:02
just a biscuit turns out. Also he is
wearing that lovely Russian outfit | 0:30:02 | 0:30:07
with a moustache, don't know about
you but I love to see Freddie | 0:30:07 | 0:30:11
Mercury doing a waltz. Going to be
wonderful. Ian, you were saying Joe | 0:30:11 | 0:30:15
was a bit square in the first bit of
training. Everyone loves a square | 0:30:15 | 0:30:19
dance. Weeks on you have seen
improvements. The ballroom has | 0:30:19 | 0:30:25
improved tremendously. He needs to
get his left side up in promenade, | 0:30:25 | 0:30:29
if he can he will be amazing. | 0:30:29 | 0:30:36
Holmes, Gemma and Aljaz, last time
we met you were loving the fact that | 0:30:36 | 0:30:40
they were so bubbly. Her big
improvement, she hasn't naturally | 0:30:40 | 0:30:45
quite got the bounce, you look at
Joe and he has this natural bounce. | 0:30:45 | 0:30:50
I bet though whether it is the
muscle strength or core strength | 0:30:50 | 0:30:53
that improves but she has got more
like Paul Murphy, and again, the J | 0:30:53 | 0:30:59
word, you can see where she started
and where she is now. Strictly is a | 0:30:59 | 0:31:05
dance competition, but it is not the
best dancer, it is who do I like | 0:31:05 | 0:31:08
watching dance the most, and from
where she started to where she is | 0:31:08 | 0:31:12
now, she's the one I like watching
the most. Lots of people with you on | 0:31:12 | 0:31:16
that. The judges have picked this
from week four, the paso doble. The | 0:31:16 | 0:31:26
woman is a cake in the paso doble,
there's nothing nicer than swishing | 0:31:26 | 0:31:29
around. Very powerful. The thing
about Gemma is, she has come on in | 0:31:29 | 0:31:34
leaps and bounds. She has never
danced before. Can you imagine such | 0:31:34 | 0:31:39
a thing? Think how far she has come.
That flaw is so shiny, it is more | 0:31:39 | 0:31:47
shiny than my face! She has got to
keep her cool, and she has got it | 0:31:47 | 0:31:52
all to play for tomorrow. All to
play for, Alexandra and Gorka the | 0:31:52 | 0:32:00
corker. What does she need to focus
on with the American Smooth? It was | 0:32:00 | 0:32:05
said that she didn't get the
standing ovation because she didn't | 0:32:05 | 0:32:09
is an issue of her arms properly.
She takes direction so brilliantly | 0:32:09 | 0:32:13
well. I am sure now she is using her
arms expressively. She does | 0:32:13 | 0:32:18
everything brilliantly. She has
improved so much. She has set the | 0:32:18 | 0:32:21
bar. She's had the most tens across
the series. Can they top what | 0:32:21 | 0:32:29
they've done so far tomorrow? I
don't know that they've got to. I | 0:32:29 | 0:32:34
see Alexandra dancing and I think
this is somebody who is incredible | 0:32:34 | 0:32:38
at dancing. The Tina Turner
number... That is just edged in my | 0:32:38 | 0:32:43
mind as being as good as this show
gets. I don't know that they have do | 0:32:43 | 0:32:48
topic. Especially in the final, it
is the moment. If you seize the | 0:32:48 | 0:32:54
moment, the mid-show moment. Flexie
McGee, Tom, I'm coming to you. You | 0:32:54 | 0:33:03
are slightly obsessed about this.
There is such love between a gay man | 0:33:03 | 0:33:12
and a woman in her 50s with a strong
personality. I want to see personal | 0:33:12 | 0:33:16
life anecdotes from her. I want to
see the arena tour, high-kicking and | 0:33:16 | 0:33:23
dancing. Coming to a city near you.
I love you. Can you tell me who's | 0:33:23 | 0:33:30
going to win, Rufus? I think Debbie
would be best for the show. | 0:33:30 | 0:33:37
Alexandra the best dancing, Gemma
the best, and then Joe might be best | 0:33:37 | 0:33:42
because the only man in it, and he's
from Scotland. Tom? We can say who | 0:33:42 | 0:33:48
we like, it is going to be one of
them! Say it is going to be me he | 0:33:48 | 0:33:55
says, but it does not work like
that. Debbie McGee, of course, it is | 0:33:55 | 0:33:58
going to be Debbie McGee, I will be
turning up at the studio tomorrow | 0:33:58 | 0:34:03
crying if it is not Debbie McGee.
Ian? Out of time. What a panel! | 0:34:03 | 0:34:13
Right, back to business -
let's meet our next finalists. | 0:34:13 | 0:34:16
Now just when you thought you'd seen
it all on Strictly - | 0:34:16 | 0:34:18
these two come along and re-write
the rule book. | 0:34:18 | 0:34:21
They're the risk takers,
whose bold routines and daring lifts | 0:34:21 | 0:34:23
have blown us all away. | 0:34:23 | 0:34:24
Let's take a look at Joe
and Katya's Strictly story. | 0:34:24 | 0:34:28
The people that know me best would
describe my dancing as... | 0:34:28 | 0:34:32
Overenthusiastic! Let's find out who
your leading lady is. It is Katya! | 0:34:32 | 0:34:43
Will another he smiles inexorable
and happy. She is such a fantastic | 0:34:43 | 0:34:47
dancer. And the first dance is the
giant! The jive?! -- the jive. The | 0:34:47 | 0:35:01
attack, the energy, the style. You
have to contort your body into | 0:35:01 | 0:35:10
positions that they feel natural at
all. Is this going to be easy? I | 0:35:10 | 0:35:18
wouldn't normally say this about the
tango, but there was too much | 0:35:18 | 0:35:23
energy. I know that you can do it
better. I just had a mind blank | 0:35:23 | 0:35:31
where I literally didn't know what
my next steps were. So you're going | 0:35:31 | 0:35:36
to come back strong. I was swept
away by a romantic blizzard. Epic. | 0:35:36 | 0:35:46
That was so beautifully traditional,
and it worked, it really work. You | 0:35:46 | 0:35:53
have been the best partner. We
absolutely depending on each other. | 0:35:53 | 0:36:01
I'm going to be there for you the
matter what, and we have the belief | 0:36:01 | 0:36:04
that you can go all the way. You
haven't quite mastered the action in | 0:36:04 | 0:36:11
the leg and hip department. The
footwork was very, very good. Joe, I | 0:36:11 | 0:36:16
don't think you actually did that
badly. Keep moving forward. The | 0:36:16 | 0:36:27
silhouette is right at the
beginning, the shaping, I absolutely | 0:36:27 | 0:36:30
loved it. Her control. That was the
best male paso doble we have seen on | 0:36:30 | 0:36:37
Strictly so far. I really went for
it. To get ten, that was just mind | 0:36:37 | 0:36:44
blowing. I knew that I love dancing
but I didn't think I would enjoy it | 0:36:44 | 0:36:48
as much as I am. It is a fantastic
final. I really love the energy and | 0:36:48 | 0:37:01
drive. Really impressive. Very well
executed. It feels fantastic to be | 0:37:01 | 0:37:08
past the halfway mark, and to make
it past Halloween is just | 0:37:08 | 0:37:11
phenomenal. I love it. I thought it
was absolutely brilliant. I thought | 0:37:11 | 0:37:24
you did an exquisite job, so well
done. People say to me that I've | 0:37:24 | 0:37:36
improved, but right now it feels
like they're still and mountain of | 0:37:36 | 0:37:38
work to do. Be a bit more precise.
He wants to work really hard, he | 0:37:38 | 0:37:43
wants to get it right. I just want
him to remember how far he has come. | 0:37:43 | 0:37:50
My goodness, the attitude that you
brought to this dance! To still be | 0:37:50 | 0:37:55
here in week ten... Well done. It
was superb. | 0:37:55 | 0:38:01
CHEERING
This is a lovely place to be, top of | 0:38:01 | 0:38:08
the board. It feels good. It feels
really good. Katya is an amazing | 0:38:08 | 0:38:16
talent and a brilliant teacher. I am
absolutely under no illusion that | 0:38:16 | 0:38:21
I'm still here, because of her. It
could not be better than that. I | 0:38:21 | 0:38:26
just want to squeeze him so hard and
tell him how proud I am. It is | 0:38:26 | 0:38:34
absolutely him, all of the dancers
that I want to do, it is so happy. I | 0:38:34 | 0:38:40
knew that I wanted to do well, but I
didn't know that it would mean so | 0:38:40 | 0:38:45
much as it does. I will look back on
it as being a fantastic time. | 0:38:45 | 0:38:53
APPLAUSE
Joe and Katya. Katya has just said, | 0:38:53 | 0:39:01
see, I do have emotions! Goodness
me. When you look back at that... ? | 0:39:01 | 0:39:11
It is so overwhelming. Three short
months. Looking back to the first | 0:39:11 | 0:39:18
day of rehearsals and learning that
first group dance, it took about two | 0:39:18 | 0:39:23
days to learn those ten steps, now
it takes a lot less time. It seems | 0:39:23 | 0:39:27
like such an achievement. Something
I will always look back on with such | 0:39:27 | 0:39:30
pride and happiness. It is in the
memory banks for those dark times. | 0:39:30 | 0:39:36
We're with you. I am grinning.
Katya, when did you realise just how | 0:39:36 | 0:39:45
good Joe would be? Immediately,
immediately. We had to have one | 0:39:45 | 0:39:54
strong person in this partnership. I
am going to drive you and drive you | 0:39:54 | 0:39:58
and drive you. Immediately. I saw
that you can do so much. And I | 0:39:58 | 0:40:06
wanted to let you jump on with all
of this information, that I almost | 0:40:06 | 0:40:10
had to pull myself back and learn
from the first few weeks when we had | 0:40:10 | 0:40:13
some ups and downs, the king, maybe
he is not quite ready, let's take it | 0:40:13 | 0:40:18
slowly. That was you going slowly? !
What with the other version have | 0:40:18 | 0:40:24
been like?! This has worked, though.
I do like it. And everyone has | 0:40:24 | 0:40:31
noticed, Katya has a teaching style,
which is, just keep doing it and | 0:40:31 | 0:40:37
keep doing it until you get it
right. And it has been the best for | 0:40:37 | 0:40:40
me. I think that people are sent
here for a reason and she was | 0:40:40 | 0:40:44
exactly the type of teacher that I
need, because I wouldn't have needed | 0:40:44 | 0:40:48
the easy option. I have her voice in
my head saying, if you're going to | 0:40:48 | 0:40:53
do something, do it right, and that
is a brilliant voice, because | 0:40:53 | 0:40:57
sometimes you can be lazy and just
phone it in. If you're going to do | 0:40:57 | 0:41:01
something, apply yourself,
especially something like this, | 0:41:01 | 0:41:04
which is such a lovely, brilliant
show. You don't want to mess up for | 0:41:04 | 0:41:08
people because people adore it. They
do. Especially you, you fat such | 0:41:08 | 0:41:13
support from this lovely bunch. Good
luck from everyone at Holby City! | 0:41:13 | 0:41:24
THEY SING Strictly THEME. There are
some more. You will be ready for | 0:41:24 | 0:41:31
this. They have all loved watching
you. Here they are, your nearest and | 0:41:31 | 0:41:36
dearest. Joe is the kindest and most
generous person I think I've ever | 0:41:36 | 0:41:43
met. The post only read on Strictly
and did the jive I was proud beyond | 0:41:43 | 0:41:50
words. I could see his legs shaking
and I knew that he was absolutely | 0:41:50 | 0:41:55
terrified. I was full of joy when I
watched Joe dancing on Strictly, | 0:41:55 | 0:42:02
just because of the pride that you
feel. I like it when Joseph came | 0:42:02 | 0:42:07
down from the clock. I'm pretty sure
that we had those outfits when we | 0:42:07 | 0:42:11
were clubbing, when we were younger.
We have been so lucky to have our | 0:42:11 | 0:42:22
lovely friend go through, week by
week, and now be in the final. He | 0:42:22 | 0:42:26
has pushed himself and reached
levels he will never forget. If he | 0:42:26 | 0:42:35
won it would be the icing on the
Strictly cake. It is just | 0:42:35 | 0:42:39
unbelievable, really. It is just...
Just really proud of him. Hi, Joe, | 0:42:39 | 0:42:48
we all love you very much and we're
all rooting for you, 100%. Your work | 0:42:48 | 0:42:54
so hard, and you really deserve to
lift the glitterball. Good luck, | 0:42:54 | 0:43:01
Joe! Just get out there and do what
you always do. Give it laldy and | 0:43:01 | 0:43:10
show them what you're made of! Well
said, Maggie, give it laldy! What we | 0:43:10 | 0:43:18
want to say to people? It has been
amazing, the show is so adored. | 0:43:18 | 0:43:24
You're just really proud to be
associated with it. Everybody wants | 0:43:24 | 0:43:27
to know what you are like and what
everyone else is like. You feel like | 0:43:27 | 0:43:32
the representative and Ambassador or
for the show. And you just want to | 0:43:32 | 0:43:36
be as good as the show is, and
hopefully, we have been. And that | 0:43:36 | 0:43:40
never goes. You will always be that
person. It is so special. We haven't | 0:43:40 | 0:43:45
been invited once, that just says so
much. Katya, you have seen the man | 0:43:45 | 0:43:54
behind all the glitz and the
costumes, you have been there with | 0:43:54 | 0:43:58
him, why does he deserve to win?
LAUGHTER | 0:43:58 | 0:44:03
I think he has got it all, I think
he really has. He worked really | 0:44:03 | 0:44:08
hard. He has natural ability. But he
managed to push himself. And his | 0:44:08 | 0:44:15
confidence, I was so proud, dancing
with you last weekend, because your | 0:44:15 | 0:44:20
confidence just went miles up, and
that is so exciting. You're going | 0:44:20 | 0:44:25
onto the floor, not nervous. And you
just kind of make this happen. | 0:44:25 | 0:44:30
That's why we're here, to entertain
people. When you think back and | 0:44:30 | 0:44:34
remember that it all just falls into
place. Thank so much. We cannot wait | 0:44:34 | 0:44:39
to see what you are going to bring
to the dance floor. That's tomorrow | 0:44:39 | 0:44:44
night. Go crazy for Joe and Katya.
APPLAUSE | 0:44:44 | 0:44:54
'Now the end is near,
and so I face the final... | 0:44:54 | 0:44:57
Gethin chat of the series! | 0:44:57 | 0:44:58
Let's head back to the ballroom | 0:44:58 | 0:44:59
and find out who our Welsh
wonder is talking to. | 0:44:59 | 0:45:02
Yes, that works. Joe, I have an
exclusive. The Reverend Richard | 0:45:02 | 0:45:09
Hollins -- Reverend Richard. Let's
get your comments. What do you think | 0:45:09 | 0:45:13
it would be like judging a show like
this? | 0:45:13 | 0:45:20 | |
Are you looking forward to tomorrow
night's final? So looking forward to | 0:45:20 | 0:45:24
it, darling. Really am. I am so
excited for the finalists and | 0:45:24 | 0:45:31
actually to get back together has
been lovely. Last week you were | 0:45:31 | 0:45:33
there, now you are here, what is it
like this side of the table? It's | 0:45:33 | 0:45:38
more relaxing, I am loving this up
here. First time I have sat here. I | 0:45:38 | 0:45:42
might stay here until tomorrow. A
little birdie tells me you are going | 0:45:42 | 0:45:46
to chat to the judges now. I have
been so scared of them the whole | 0:45:46 | 0:45:51
time, I haven't talked to them in
the corridors, I have like hello. | 0:45:51 | 0:45:55
Now I will be how's it going, can't
wait to see them. You are all back. | 0:45:55 | 0:46:00
You have a group number tomorrow.
What's that been like? The group | 0:46:00 | 0:46:05
number is hilarious, everyone is
going this is good fun. Only time on | 0:46:05 | 0:46:08
that dance floor when you are
relaxed and we have had a laugh. | 0:46:08 | 0:46:11
It's been a proper giggle. Wouldn't
say it's going to be the tightest | 0:46:11 | 0:46:14
bit of choreography you have ever
seen but it's fun. Always! Could you | 0:46:14 | 0:46:28
score this year's It Takes Two for
us. The judges' scores... What, | 0:46:28 | 0:46:35
bring back Craig. I ask you to do
one thing! Congrt layingses to Dom, | 0:46:35 | 0:46:53
our camera they've just had a baby.
-- cameraman. | 0:46:53 | 0:47:00
Time now to welcome our last
remaining finalists. | 0:47:00 | 0:47:02
These two firecrackers
didn't come to play, | 0:47:02 | 0:47:03
they came to slay the competition. | 0:47:03 | 0:47:05
Delivering fierce and fiesty
routines with a whole lot of heart - | 0:47:05 | 0:47:08
here's Alexandra and Gorka's
Strictly story. | 0:47:08 | 0:47:09
It's been a dream of mine for the
longest time I am having to pinch | 0:47:09 | 0:47:13
myself. Match made in heaven. You
know which dance we are doing? No. | 0:47:13 | 0:47:15
Starts with W. The waltz? Yeah! You
have a natural artistry and it's a | 0:47:15 | 0:47:24
great quality. I think that you are
going to probably be a frontrunner | 0:47:24 | 0:47:29
after what I have just seen. You
blew me away. | 0:47:29 | 0:47:42
I think it's going to be the moment
that we always remember on Strictly. | 0:47:44 | 0:47:50
I definitely feel pressured because
of how last week went. My mum always | 0:47:50 | 0:47:53
said to me you are only as good as
your last performance I so I want to | 0:47:53 | 0:47:58
make this as amazing as it can
possibly be. You are so versatile. | 0:47:58 | 0:48:07
You danced it really, really well.
The energy, it was absolutely | 0:48:07 | 0:48:12
stunning. You have left me
speechless. You were great. | 0:48:12 | 0:48:19
When the 10s were there it hit home.
I wish my mum was here. I got 10s | 0:48:25 | 0:48:32
and I can't even scream about it
because the one person I wanted to | 0:48:32 | 0:48:37
be there for that moment wasn't. So
it was pretty difficult. I have no | 0:48:37 | 0:48:41
words to describe how proud I can be
of you today. | 0:48:41 | 0:48:49
I think we are expecting a lot from
you. Now it's on the smaller | 0:48:50 | 0:48:55
details. I take their criticism, I
am here to learn and hopefully get | 0:48:55 | 0:49:02
better. It was flirty, it was
confident. You have been working so | 0:49:02 | 0:49:06
hard and it paid off. You look like
a professional. It was the best | 0:49:06 | 0:49:13
cha-cha-cha this season so far. | 0:49:13 | 0:49:17
You never cease to amaze me. I
thought it was superb. You did | 0:49:18 | 0:49:23
something that could come out of a
classic Hollywood movie. Is there | 0:49:23 | 0:49:27
nothing you can't do? I mean,
incredible. Gorka has taught me what | 0:49:27 | 0:49:35
real partnership means. You meet
someone for a reason and we dance | 0:49:35 | 0:49:40
together for a reason. Exactly. The
rumba is the slowest of the Latin | 0:49:40 | 0:49:46
dances, so you are open to any
mistake. I felt it lacked any sort | 0:49:46 | 0:49:52
of connection and chemistry. You are
still a really stunning dancer. I | 0:49:52 | 0:49:57
just expect more. You never know
what's going to happen in this | 0:49:57 | 0:50:01
competition. Thankfully we are still
here to fight another week. I would | 0:50:01 | 0:50:07
say Strictly has changed me in the
way of wanting to work even harder | 0:50:07 | 0:50:10
for what I want in life. This is the
first time I have gone it makes me | 0:50:10 | 0:50:14
so happy that I don't want it to
end. Practically perfect in every | 0:50:14 | 0:50:20
possible way. It was amazing. I
loved it. Two weeks in a row is what | 0:50:20 | 0:50:26
made it really hard. It does hurt.
You can only try your best to pick | 0:50:26 | 0:50:32
yourself back up. I hope people will
see how much this show brings me joy | 0:50:32 | 0:50:38
and I don't know if people see that
yet. I hope to God Gorka realises | 0:50:38 | 0:50:45
that without him I wouldn't have
been able to get through this at | 0:50:45 | 0:50:49
all. She shows me how strong she is
and how sometimes, like her moments | 0:50:49 | 0:50:58
and you keep going and fight for
your dreams. -- fabulous. Finally we | 0:50:58 | 0:51:11
get 40! It would make my dreams come
true to get through to the final. | 0:51:11 | 0:51:18
Just to be able to dance and be free
and lose myself has been an | 0:51:18 | 0:51:24
untouchable experience. It's been
incredible and I am the proudest man | 0:51:24 | 0:51:30
I could be to dance with her.
Alexandra and Gorka! Oh! | 0:51:30 | 0:51:37
APPLAUSE AND CHEERING
My darling, everybody's so emotional | 0:51:37 | 0:51:41
today. We try to hold back on using
the J-word on this show but boy have | 0:51:41 | 0:51:45
you been on one. I am saying
journey. I have done it. How do you | 0:51:45 | 0:51:51
feel watching that? It's incredible
stuff. We don't get an opportunity | 0:51:51 | 0:51:56
to really soak in everything we have
done and I think because it's gone | 0:51:56 | 0:52:00
so quickly it's hard to, not
remember, but just to kind of | 0:52:00 | 0:52:05
reflect and to see that again hit
home. I have tried to avoid the | 0:52:05 | 0:52:09
emotional part of my life this week
and just focus on the joy that this | 0:52:09 | 0:52:13
show brings, joy that we have
created and everyone's given us and | 0:52:13 | 0:52:16
supported us. To watch that back,
it's like, my goodness we are still | 0:52:16 | 0:52:20
here and we are at the final. I am
so happy to be here and it's really | 0:52:20 | 0:52:27
just, like my fingers are so sweaty,
really weird. Gorka The Corker, | 0:52:27 | 0:52:37
honey, your first final, how are the
nerves? The nerves are all right for | 0:52:37 | 0:52:42
the moment. I think maybe tomorrow
as soon as the show gets closer | 0:52:42 | 0:52:45
maybe a little bit. But yeah, you
know, we are going to go there, have | 0:52:45 | 0:52:49
fun with the rest of the guys and
give the best show we can do. Yeah, | 0:52:49 | 0:52:52
let's have fun. I have heard that
your show dance is incredibly | 0:52:52 | 0:52:57
ambitious. We like! How has it gone
in rehearsals? It went really like | 0:52:57 | 0:53:02
well, really fun. We added in a few
props, don't know if I am giving too | 0:53:02 | 0:53:07
much away. When props get involved I
get like oh, where am I? I feel like | 0:53:07 | 0:53:12
we are going to have the best time
and have fun and create memories and | 0:53:12 | 0:53:16
smile. That's all I want to do
tomorrow is smile the whole day. And | 0:53:16 | 0:53:20
the whole night. Brilliant. We want
to see you doing that too. Has it | 0:53:20 | 0:53:25
lived up to expectations, this
experience? More so. Absolutely more | 0:53:25 | 0:53:28
so. I mean, I didn't know what to
expect being part of this amazing | 0:53:28 | 0:53:32
show. All I know is that there's so
many people have been part of it and | 0:53:32 | 0:53:36
spoken highly of the show. To be a
part of people's lives where | 0:53:36 | 0:53:40
everyone else is so lovely and
supportive and take care of you and | 0:53:40 | 0:53:44
you create amazing friendships,
that's what's important, is the | 0:53:44 | 0:53:47
friendships that we have all created
amongst each other and that ballroom | 0:53:47 | 0:53:52
floor, it's like, that is a
once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and | 0:53:52 | 0:53:54
here we at the final. Come on. Here
you are. Now of course hold tight | 0:53:54 | 0:53:59
everyone, let's hold hands. There
are a few people behind you all the | 0:53:59 | 0:54:05
way, Alexandra, have a look.
I would say Alexandra as a child was | 0:54:05 | 0:54:10
a big bubble of energy, always
wanting to perform. From early age | 0:54:10 | 0:54:15
we see she's going to be a star.
Alex's first performance on Strictly | 0:54:15 | 0:54:19
I was expecting it to be very, very
emotional. The strength, I never | 0:54:19 | 0:54:28
knew it was there. Strict le brings
it out. The standout performance for | 0:54:28 | 0:54:32
me has been the jive. I am just in
awe of her, her energy. Nothing she | 0:54:32 | 0:54:38
can't do. When Alex got her first
tens I was elated. Just proud, just | 0:54:38 | 0:54:44
a wave of emotion came over me
because I know how much it meant to | 0:54:44 | 0:54:47
her. It's so lovely to see Alex
growing and progressing, no matter | 0:54:47 | 0:54:52
what has been thrown at her, she
will keep going. Every week she goes | 0:54:52 | 0:54:59
out there and gives it 100% and it's
all coming from her heart. If Alex | 0:54:59 | 0:55:04
does get to lift that glitterball
trophy, not only will she be doing | 0:55:04 | 0:55:08
it for herself, she will be doing it
for her supporters, her family, but | 0:55:08 | 0:55:14
the main person most of all our mum.
I just want to wish you all the best | 0:55:14 | 0:55:21
for the final this week, I am so
proud of you. Keep focussing and | 0:55:21 | 0:55:26
just keep fighting. Continue to be
my little diamond. It's been a tough | 0:55:26 | 0:55:30
journey but now you need to show
them what you are made of. Good | 0:55:30 | 0:55:33
luck, love you.
So much love in this room. | 0:55:33 | 0:55:41
Alexandra, bless you. How much
sweetheart, has all the support that | 0:55:41 | 0:55:47
you have had meant to you? Honestly,
I don't think people realise how | 0:55:47 | 0:55:54
much it means. Just be honest and
say that I know some people may not | 0:55:54 | 0:55:59
like seeing me cry, but man, I have
been through the toughest time of my | 0:55:59 | 0:56:02
life and saw the light at the end of
the tunnel and I am still trying to | 0:56:02 | 0:56:05
reach it, trying my best to reach it
but I have had so much fun and if it | 0:56:05 | 0:56:13
wasn't for everyone, Strictly,
everyone here that supported what I | 0:56:13 | 0:56:15
have gone through, I don't know
where I would be. I am just really | 0:56:15 | 0:56:21
grateful. I am with you there, my
darling. I really am. | 0:56:21 | 0:56:25
Oh my goodness me! You are proving
yourself as a singer, actress and | 0:56:25 | 0:56:29
thanks to Gorka now a dancer.
Anything you would like to say to | 0:56:29 | 0:56:32
each other whilst we try and get our
act together. Love you. You are | 0:56:32 | 0:56:38
amazing. I don't want to make it
worse... Anything you want to say to | 0:56:38 | 0:56:45
him. You know how much you mean to
me. I am just so grateful that you | 0:56:45 | 0:56:50
have been part of this journey and
you have made it so special. I loved | 0:56:50 | 0:56:53
it. Whatever the outcome tomorrow I
have made a friend for life and | 0:56:53 | 0:56:57
that's what matters. Friend for life
people! Good luck tomorrow, you are | 0:56:57 | 0:57:06
both amazing. Alexandra and Gorka
The Corker! I am sorry to make | 0:57:06 | 0:57:12
everyone so emotional. | 0:57:12 | 0:57:16
Now despite the title,
it takes far more than two people | 0:57:16 | 0:57:18
to make this show what it is. | 0:57:18 | 0:57:20
We've had so much fun this series. | 0:57:20 | 0:57:22
Here's a look at It
Takes Two's Best Bits. | 0:57:22 | 0:57:26
I think we are all set. Welcome,

Hang on, remember I am on live | 0:57:35 | 0:57:39

very impressed. Love it when they do | 0:57:39 | 0:57:50
the crossing legs. Yeah. I am so
confused. Jazz hands. All right. We | 0:57:50 | 0:57:56
are going to see a darker side to
the Peacock. | 0:57:56 | 0:58:12
I will just turn this off. | 0:58:13 | 0:58:18
Strictly's head designer Vicky Gill.

year's pro challenge champion is...

I loved it. You are going to be
decky McGee. I can't even look at | 0:58:33 | 0:58:40
you right now. If I try to pout you
look like I am stuck in a sherbert | 0:58:40 | 0:58:44
lemon. It's demo time. I am between
a vicar and politician and I am the | 0:58:44 | 0:58:52
least professional person. He is
gown, he is down. Love, love, love. | 0:58:52 | 0:59:01
Here we go. I love a lift. Immense.
It's over. Good night. | 0:59:01 | 0:59:13
