Episode 10 The Apprentice: You're Fired

screwed it up. Who is the waste of Good evening and welcome to the The

Apprentice You're Fired, it's week ten of Lord Sugar's search for his

business partner and one more candidate has been shown the door

in the search for the �250,000 investment. What is happening here?

really. I've watched you up close. You are a tactile person. And it's

about your personality. People enjoyed working with you. Hu the

energy and could calm people down. You could get your poi point across.

sell. I learned... I learned that late. In the -- I can analyse

relatively new business. It's still having teething problems for the

business. This type of business did not exist until a couple of years

ago. The gap we tried to fill to enable small local businesses like

restaurants and beauty places to sell online. Because the business

and industry did not exist before we had to pioneer that, and along

the way ran into issues we did not see. We had to fix that. You had

issues with fair trading because your company is making promise on

behalf of other businesses. learned over time that we as a

company under more scrutiny than the local merchants. They can claim

their massage is pain relieving. In the beginning we would put it on

the website but we had no proof, to grant that being on the website. We

got punished for. That we know we have to be the experts in the

regulation and regulate what the merchants put on their website and

not put it on ours. Weight loss hot pants for example!. Lets go to the

great people skills, but the business acumen was repeatedly not

fired. I would have fired myself. You managed to save yourself last

think the tone was said and the pressure on from the minute, I know

you're seen putting the tie on, and I'm positive. It's almost as if you

are trying to convince yourself. You know you have put a enormous

gauntlet down. You can see early the headless chicken thing. And the

pressure is mounting. It would have helped if you running the team from

the start would have made more of a plan. What we saw the other team

saw more time to plan and said what businesses are we going to visit.

Your team ran out quickly, and when you came to make the decision you k

did not have the plan. Should I go or not. Under pressure you take the

wrong decisions. More planning would have helped. It was quantity

versus quality. The nature of business I'm in, it's about volume

and quantity. I've taken it on board in this task. If I was going

to do it again, I would focus on the quality. You were slippery at

times. Do you work out how to do this? There was times you know you

are in the wrong. That's actually my mistake. I'm not going to say,

my fault. I'll try to make A the most of the situation. It meant a

lot to me and I'm competitive. That will come to the fore when in a

boardroom situation. I wasn't in the right always in the boardroom.

You can deflect blame in the boardroom. You don't let others do

it to you. Talk about yourself, don't talk about me!. Where did

specifics come from? Life is too short to generalise. I was

disappointed in the boardroom with you. Particularly the way you dealt

with gab yell. In the first -- Gabrielle. In the first task the

team went astray and you rounded everyone up. You seemed like a good

team player get the best out of people and I saw a different side

to you there. It underestimated the dependency in the boardroom once or

twice. Being condescending to people, the second time people

would remember. If you would have kept the mind at some time you

would lose the dressing room, to take you to football, you might do

better. You deflected blame to Gabi and you got called out by Ricky.

What did you do, along from going along with me. This is the most

passionate I've seen you. If you were like this on the day we would

Who did you particularly get on with of the candidates. I was going

to say Gabrielle. You may not believe. That Adam, and yiky, and I

were close. In the boardroom the associations went aside temporarily.

For sure Adam for me was a close confidant in the first weeks and

Ricky in the latter weeks. Let's see what Lord Sugar and former

colleagues have to say. What I liked when he was in losing teams

he had the ability of summarising very, very quickly and he was right

most of the time. He was quite good at putting the blame with other

people. In this particular task he was out of control. He panicked.

Jee said, I feel the stress. I'm really, really pressured. History -

- his words were, I don't want to be fired. That wasn't great to hear

from the project manager. He said make me project manager and I will

win. He did not. That's why I fired Stephen. What is your reaction to
