tricks than ever before. Three of the world's best magic acts, Barry

:00:20.:00:25.

and Stuart, Latimer and Pete Firman will be joined each week by three

:00:25.:00:30.

new celebrity guests. They will be putting their reputations on the

:00:30.:00:33.

line as they compete to impress you with the most awe-inspiring

:00:33.:00:42.

illusions. How did he do that? year it is live. I'm pretty much

:00:42.:00:46.

worried about the whole thing. is doing something I don't know how

:00:46.:00:51.

to do. It's going to be tough. phone votes will decide the winner.

:00:52.:00:56.

But the act with the fewest votes will have to face the dreaded

:00:56.:00:59.

forfeit, the most dangerous event of the night and the trek that

:01:00.:01:07.

nobody wants to tackle. Prepare for mentalism, jaw-dropping illusions

:01:07.:01:13.

and death-defying stunts. Prepare to be mesmerised. It's The

:01:13.:01:23.
:01:23.:01:43.

Live from Shepperton Studios, please welcome your house -- host

:01:43.:01:51.

Darren McMullen and the magicians. Marianne Stuart. World Magic

:01:51.:02:01.
:02:01.:02:05.

Champion Latimer. And the amazing, Hello, Britain. How are you?

:02:05.:02:09.

Welcome to The Magicians. Tonight we have an absolutely amazing show

:02:09.:02:12.

for you. Get ready to have your eyes boggled and your mind baffled

:02:12.:02:16.

by some of the most incredible magic you will ever see performed

:02:16.:02:21.

by some of the finest professional magicians in the world. But these

:02:21.:02:26.

fine lads behind me are not doing it by themselves. Each magician

:02:26.:02:30.

will have the help of a complete amateur. But do not worry, they are

:02:30.:02:33.

celebrities. As we know, celebrities can do anything they

:02:33.:02:38.

want. They will be performing four tricks, with one aim, to impress

:02:38.:02:44.

you. So, let's bring out tonight celebrities. With Barry and Stuart,

:02:44.:02:54.
:02:54.:02:55.

from smash-hit comedy Outnumbered, Tyger Drew-Honey and Daniel Roche.

:02:55.:03:03.

Joining Latimer, Strictly Latin lovely Flavio. With Pete Firman,

:03:03.:03:13.
:03:13.:03:13.

Coronation Street and Boyzone's Keith Duffy. This is the magician's,

:03:13.:03:21.

The acts want to impress you tonight and they have four tricks

:03:21.:03:26.

to do that. Two of them will be performed right here, live in the

:03:26.:03:32.

studio. A live grand illusion and some high pressure, close-up magic.

:03:32.:03:36.

They will also be tackling the streets, doing sensational stunts

:03:36.:03:39.

on location and performing amazing street magic. Anything could happen

:03:39.:03:46.

and it probably will. The team with the lowest number of votes will

:03:46.:03:52.

take on the death-defying fall for it. -- a forfeit. Nobody wants that,

:03:52.:03:58.

trust me. Here is the moment before we went on air when they found out

:03:58.:04:08.
:04:08.:04:11.

For tonight's terrifying for fit, the loser has to swallow a flaming

:04:11.:04:15.

torch of blistering hot fire, which burns at an intensity of 300

:04:15.:04:21.

degrees centigrade. With the fire extinguished, they must ports

:04:21.:04:24.

coaching molten metal into their mouths and spit it out as a solid

:04:24.:04:29.

block. It is hot and horrifying. But who are will have to endure the

:04:29.:04:39.
:04:39.:04:44.

A serious risk of heartburn, not to mention death! Your votes will

:04:44.:04:48.

decide who faces that at the end of the show. The lines will open up

:04:48.:04:53.

all three acts perform their first trick. It is up to you to vote for

:04:53.:04:57.

your favourite. The one with the fewest votes will face the death

:04:57.:05:07.
:05:07.:05:12.

defying forfeit at the end of the First, trying to win your vote, she

:05:12.:05:17.

swapped the merengue for the magic. It is Strictly Come Dancing's

:05:17.:05:27.
:05:27.:05:28.

I am a professional dancer. I have competed for many years. I love

:05:28.:05:31.

learning new skills. It's a perfect opportunity for me to try something

:05:31.:05:35.

totally out there. I am Jason Latimer. Becoming world champion

:05:35.:05:38.

was just the beginning. This is much easier than what you are going

:05:38.:05:43.

to be doing. He has a background in three different sciences. Never my

:05:43.:05:48.

strong point at school. Impossible is merely an opinion. We have a

:05:48.:05:52.

high pressure close to perfect, lasers, high-speed escape. How do

:05:52.:06:00.

you feel about tattoos? Interesting! You need timing at

:06:00.:06:03.

the speed of light. I am the only person in the world that has built

:06:03.:06:09.

it, there are no more like it. is doing something I don't know how

:06:09.:06:12.

to do. I'm just going to keep my fingers crossed that I'm not going

:06:12.:06:22.
:06:22.:06:30.

Let's hope the practice has paid off. With them live grand illusion,

:06:30.:06:40.
:06:40.:06:40.

Apology for the loss of subtitles for 171 seconds

:06:40.:09:32.

Wow! Absolutely amazing, wasn't it? Do you think that Latimer was a big

:09:32.:09:39.

fan of Star Wars? What do you think, how would you beat that? I nearly

:09:39.:09:47.

got blinded at one point! That was absolutely spectacular. Stunning

:09:47.:09:54.

and spectacular? But we have got a pretty good trick as well. Just

:09:54.:10:00.

pretty good! Well, let's see what is is all about. Here these guys

:10:00.:10:05.

are, on location, for their grand illusion. Let's see what Barry and

:10:05.:10:15.
:10:15.:10:20.

Stuart had been teaching their I am Tyger. You probably know as as

:10:20.:10:25.

on-screen brothers from Outnumbered. They like things that are immature,

:10:25.:10:29.

gross and pretty. So they are perfect for working mothers. What

:10:29.:10:35.

attracts me is the idea of doing something that seems impossible. At

:10:35.:10:39.

the back of my mind I am thinking, what if it goes wrong? I'm just

:10:39.:10:44.

trying not to think about it. very own Barry and Stuart suits.

:10:44.:10:51.

You have the suits, can you do a Scottish accent? I can, actually!

:10:51.:10:55.

If the tricks go wrong, we will just go back and film them again...

:10:55.:11:05.
:11:05.:11:19.

It is live! It's not actually live, Today is all about art. I think we

:11:19.:11:25.

should split up into teams. I will be with Barry. Stuart and Danny,

:11:25.:11:35.
:11:35.:11:41.

you can go together. We will go off Got it? Good! Move the medal back a

:11:42.:11:51.
:11:52.:11:53.

little bit. Can you see me in it? Is it working? We finished! What

:11:54.:12:01.

have you made? It is really special, if you could just stand over there.

:12:01.:12:10.

What is it? What is it? You look brilliant. I'm not sure about the

:12:10.:12:18.

title, but it's a very clever. have you made? Will show you.

:12:18.:12:23.

is it? It looks weird. It is an abstract piece of art. We are going

:12:23.:12:27.

to use this for a grand illusion. It is subliminal. All of the

:12:27.:12:30.

shoppers are going to walk past this and they will forget they have

:12:30.:12:37.

seen it. But it will cause whoever has seen it to going to a record

:12:37.:12:42.

shop and buy this CD. People are going to buy this, but hopefully

:12:42.:12:52.
:12:52.:13:02.

they will not even realise why. Thanks for taking part. We are

:13:02.:13:09.

going to show you something with Tyger's production. Rochelle, take

:13:09.:13:15.

hold of that and don't let anybody touch it. Guard it with your life.

:13:15.:13:22.

What is your name? Maddie. We want you to go to any music shop and buy

:13:22.:13:29.

any CD that you like. OK? Anyone at all. Here is 20 quid. Thank you

:13:29.:13:34.

very much. Don't waste it, it is four week's pocket money. We will

:13:34.:13:44.
:13:44.:13:49.

This would have been much cheaper if we had bought this online. It

:13:49.:13:59.
:13:59.:14:05.

would have taken a bit longer, Hello. Excellent. We waited. Was it

:14:05.:14:11.

a successful trip? Rochelle, you have been holding on to that the

:14:11.:14:15.

entire time. Give it to Tyger. We think that he went to the shop and

:14:15.:14:25.
:14:25.:14:29.

you bought what we predicted here. None other than... Old Mercy.

:14:29.:14:39.
:14:39.:14:45.

Are you kidding? I wish I was. I got Joe McElderry. This is a bit

:14:45.:14:52.

embarrassing. We spend ages. can't believe you've got it wrong!

:14:52.:14:56.

The thing about magic is that sometimes things differentiate

:14:56.:14:59.

between right and wrong depending on your perspective. If we look at

:14:59.:15:04.

this in a different way, maybe we'll be right. I'm confused.

:15:04.:15:13.

is only one way to fix it. Bring out fat Barry! Please stop calling

:15:13.:15:18.

it that. They are going to bend it in a different way. As you will see,

:15:19.:15:23.

the abstract image is going to reveal itself as the face of... Joe

:15:23.:15:33.
:15:33.:15:37.

McElderry!? No way! It is quite realistic. Not quite as realistic

:15:37.:15:47.
:15:47.:15:59.

I bought one of your CDs. You got it right. I cannot believe what

:15:59.:16:03.

just happened. They put the mirror up, turned it, and then Joe

:16:03.:16:08.

McElderry was there. It was like, "No, I can't believe it. All of my

:16:08.:16:18.
:16:18.:16:18.

Christmases have come at once!" APPLAUSE

:16:18.:16:25.

Just when you think they stuffed it up, they do the old switch-er-ooh

:16:25.:16:31.

on you. Later they'll be performing a trick and need your help at home,

:16:31.:16:35.

folks. Think of a card, any card, in your head. Once you think you

:16:35.:16:45.
:16:45.:16:46.

Send us your choice now, and we'll use it live in the show later on. A

:16:46.:16:50.

bit of a word of warning - we will be sending your messages on the

:16:50.:16:55.

screen, so if you don't want your details on telly, don't post them.

:16:55.:16:59.

Brilliant. Joe McElderry. That's where he has been hiding...

:16:59.:17:04.

Bringing out the big guns. Seem You have your own big guns here. It's a

:17:04.:17:09.

gimmick - they pull out the popstar at the last minute. We have a

:17:09.:17:14.

popstar here in the studio. A few years ago. Forget it. You're a

:17:14.:17:19.

giant, a giant. Smoke and mirrors. Do you think you have what it takes

:17:19.:17:25.

to beat that? There is no smoke and mirrors about it. I agree with you.

:17:25.:17:27.

We need people to vote because I don't want to do the forfeit. I

:17:27.:17:31.

don't want to do the forfeit! So pick up the phone and vote, please.

:17:31.:17:37.

All right. It's time to prove your worth, please. This is going to be

:17:37.:17:45.

their first trick of the night. This is Peith and Keet! Keith and

:17:45.:17:51.

Pete! APPLAUSE

:17:51.:17:57.

Save the jokes for tonight. I am Keith Duffy. Sometimes it has been

:17:57.:18:02.

known for people to say my act is magic - but not very often. I have

:18:02.:18:08.

been doing magic for 20 plus years. Look at them. I have a keen

:18:08.:18:12.

interest in magic because my son isn't a bad little magician. Very

:18:12.:18:19.

good. It's such a night we have dangerous trick with fire. I am the

:18:19.:18:24.

firestarter. We're going to do a dangerous trick with sausage.

:18:24.:18:31.

wait. I have to entertain the crowd. How can I be in the forfeit? If we

:18:31.:18:35.

get in the forfeit, he's not letting me down, not letting the

:18:35.:18:38.

great British public down. He's letting his son down. What sort of

:18:38.:18:40.

a father is that? APPLAUSE

:18:40.:18:44.

So here they are with their first trick of the night. It's their

:18:44.:18:49.

close-up live magic, something that can really get their teeth into.

:18:49.:18:52.

Here is Pete and Keith. APPLAUSE

:18:52.:18:55.

Hey! Thank you very much. Thank you very much. That's very nice. We're

:18:55.:18:59.

going to need somebody from the audience to help out - the lady

:18:59.:19:02.

there in the white. Can we get a microphone on her, please? While

:19:03.:19:07.

they're doing that, let me show you something - some sleight of hand

:19:07.:19:13.

skills. Very cool, well done. years of my life! Misspent youth.

:19:13.:19:21.

Think of a card, any card. What is it? Want me to tell you? Yeah.

:19:22.:19:27.

eight of hearts. He's absolutely right. Is that good? This is a

:19:27.:19:32.

little bit run-of-the-mill sleight of hand stuff. I thought it would

:19:32.:19:39.

be more interesting to spice things up with the sleight of hand - and

:19:40.:19:47.

some pork. Sausages! Can you come up on stage? Give this lady a round

:19:47.:19:54.

of applause. What's your name? This is Keith. It's Kerstin. How are you,

:19:54.:20:00.

Kerstin? A I am going to run through the cards. You say stop.

:20:00.:20:05.

Whenever you say, I'll stop. Stop. Have a look at the card. Move down

:20:05.:20:09.

here. If you could take it all the way out - that's cram number three

:20:09.:20:15.

down there. Show it to the people at home. I don't want to see it.

:20:15.:20:21.

don't want to cheat. We wouldn't want to do a thing like that.

:20:21.:20:25.

would if it meant we wouldn't have to forfeit. It's a shame because it

:20:25.:20:28.

would rhyme with your name. Don't improvise!

:20:28.:20:30.

LAUGHTER At the moment, that card is going

:20:30.:20:36.

to disappear. It's going to end up somewhere unbelievable. I hope that

:20:36.:20:43.

somewhere unbelievable isn't going to end up somewhere uncomfortable.

:20:43.:20:47.

Tear that in half, tear it in half again. Nobody said show business

:20:48.:20:52.

was going to be easy. Tear it in half a third time. I am making a

:20:52.:20:57.

bag with this handkerchief. How many pieces would you say are in

:20:57.:21:01.

there? A thousand. A thousand pieces? Absolutely. You can feel

:21:01.:21:06.

all the piece in the handkerchief, agreed? Yep. On the count of three

:21:06.:21:11.

they're all going to disappear. One, two, three, all of those pieces

:21:11.:21:16.

disappear... Keith, I don't think they've noticed. They have gone

:21:16.:21:21.

forever. (They have noticed!" 999 isn't bad.

:21:21.:21:25.

Move on to the pork. That's a good idea. In a moment you're going to

:21:25.:21:31.

pick a sausage, any sausage. Before you do that, pick up the three of

:21:31.:21:36.

hearts. Hold on to that. You're going to need it in a moment.

:21:36.:21:41.

Shuffle those sausages. Hope these are fresh. Happy? Yep. Very good.

:21:41.:21:44.

We're going to eliminate some sausages. Come over here. Pick up

:21:44.:21:49.

any two you want. The two you choose we're going to get rid of.

:21:49.:21:54.

You don't want to touch them, do you? Pick them up. I'll take them.

:21:54.:21:59.

Eliminated. They're gone. You can't have those back. A round of

:21:59.:22:01.

applause for the sausages. I like that. That's good stuff!

:22:01.:22:06.

APPLAUSE I love when you ham it up like that,

:22:06.:22:12.

Pete! Choose another sausage to be eliminated. Just one? That one.

:22:12.:22:16.

Eliminated. That one's gone - gone forever, no more. Don't clap them

:22:17.:22:20.

every time. It's a little bit weird. Now we're 50-50. You're going to

:22:20.:22:24.

eliminate one more sausage. You'll save one and keep one on the tray.

:22:24.:22:31.

Get rid of the one you don't want. A little gift for you - don't ever

:22:31.:22:34.

say I never give you anything. Salmonella. We're down to one

:22:35.:22:39.

sausage. I want you to know we're not doing any funny moves here. In

:22:39.:22:42.

my pocket I have a knife. We're going to go around the

:22:43.:22:47.

circumference of the sausage. try this at home, kids. No, don't

:22:47.:22:50.

do that. Inside the sausage - surprise, surprise, sausage meat -

:22:50.:22:53.

but as well as that, folded up, there is a playing card. You picked

:22:53.:22:58.

one a moment ago. You remember that far back, right? Yeah. What was

:22:58.:23:01.

that card you picked? The three of hearts. Ladies and gentlemen, there

:23:01.:23:06.

it is, the three of hearts - a sausagey - there is a piece missing.

:23:06.:23:11.

You're holding a piece. If I take that piece - tell me the truth,

:23:11.:23:18.

does it fit perfectly? It does. It's the same card, ladies and

:23:18.:23:19.

gentlemen. Thank you very much. what about Keith?

:23:19.:23:29.
:23:29.:23:32.

I'm impressed - they pulled it out. There you go. All our acts have now

:23:32.:23:36.

performed their first trick, which means the phone lines are now open,

:23:36.:23:40.

folks, to vote and save your favourite celebrity and magician

:23:40.:23:48.

from the death-defying forfeit. These are the numbers you need - to

:23:48.:23:58.
:23:58.:24:12.

save Barry and Stuart from permission. For full terms and

:24:12.:24:14.

conditions, visit bbc.co.uk/magicians.

:24:14.:24:19.

Remember, they've each got three more tricks to perform before we'll

:24:19.:24:28.

reveal who will swallow fire and Still to come: Pete and Keith get

:24:28.:24:33.

out their crystal ball. Barry and Stuart and the Outnumbered boys get

:24:33.:24:37.

up to no good, and Latimer and Flavia attempt a sensational escape.

:24:37.:24:44.

APPLAUSE Now hoping to wow you with their

:24:44.:24:47.

second magic trick of the evening, it's their live grand illusion,

:24:47.:24:49.

Barry and Stuart and the boys from Outnumbered.

:24:49.:24:59.
:24:59.:25:01.

time in the show to perform our very own magic trick without the

:25:01.:25:05.

help of Barry and Stuart. They have left us this rather strange

:25:05.:25:09.

contraption, which they have labelled "Barry and Stuart kit". If

:25:09.:25:15.

you follow me, you can see it's just a big, sturdy box, and when we

:25:15.:25:21.

open it... We have some sort of stereo and a note saying, "put

:25:21.:25:28.

these jackets on." Oh, yeah, this is cool. I look just like him.

:25:28.:25:32.

reckon I look like a more handsome version of Barry, yeah?

:25:32.:25:40.

APPLAUSE What do I look like? You look like

:25:40.:25:45.

Stuart would look if his DNA had been merged with a mop. Wait.

:25:45.:25:49.

There's something in the pocket - instructions? What is this? It's

:25:49.:25:53.

all old and clanky. It's a tape! Give it here.

:25:53.:26:01.

LAUGHTER Hi, Tyger and Daniel. These are

:26:01.:26:05.

your instructions for you to learn our ghost illusion so you can

:26:05.:26:09.

actually be Barry and Stuart. These are secret instructions, remember,

:26:09.:26:16.

so please, whatever you do, do not play them in front of the audience.

:26:16.:26:18.

LAUGHTER Daniel? Yeah. No need to answer.

:26:18.:26:22.

This is just a recording, remember. First get the bigs, red cloth. It

:26:22.:26:27.

has two dots printed on it. As Daniel does that, perform a little

:26:27.:26:30.

dance. This is absolutely nothing to do with the trick. We just

:26:30.:26:40.

wanted to give the audience a laugh at your expense. Step into the box.

:26:40.:26:45.

Pass him the cloth. When the dots are exactly in the dead centre, a

:26:45.:26:54.

ghost will magically manifest itself. Ooo! And the audience

:26:54.:26:58.

should clap. Whatever you do, Daniel, do not touch that. Tyger,

:26:58.:27:02.

hold up the second cloth, the blue one. Once again, hold it so the

:27:02.:27:08.

dots are in the centre. If you have done this correctly, a second ghost

:27:08.:27:13.

will appear. Wooo! APPLAUSE

:27:13.:27:21.

Daniel, please remember, do not fiddle with those ghosts. Boo!

:27:21.:27:28.

take the third and final cloth, the green one. Hold it so the I's are

:27:28.:27:36.

centralised. When it's done, the final ghost should appear. Wooo!

:27:36.:27:41.

make the illusion complete, Tyger, stand in the box and close yourself

:27:41.:27:49.

in there. Cover yourself up completely. Daniel, this is your

:27:49.:27:53.

moment. Make a magical gesture - and pull the cover from the box.

:27:53.:27:57.

Tyger has vanished! APPLAUSE

:27:57.:28:07.
:28:07.:28:11.

But where is he? Yeah! And that is how you become... Barry. And Stuart.

:28:11.:28:21.
:28:21.:28:24.

Brilliant. Well done and fantastic. We actually have one of the co-

:28:24.:28:27.

stars from Outnumbered - Ramona is in the audience. How are you doing?

:28:27.:28:31.

The boys doing well, do you think? Yeah, they're doing really well.

:28:31.:28:35.

Were you scared there - not at the ghosts - at Barry and Stuart?

:28:35.:28:40.

They're doing well, though, yeah? Yeah, really well. Brilliant. Next

:28:40.:28:46.

up, with their street magic, is Latimer and Flavia - or as they're

:28:46.:28:56.
:28:56.:29:01.

known, "Latvia"! Everyone, this is Flavia. Flavia,

:29:01.:29:07.

this is everyone. Hi, everyone. You're everyone! We're here to

:29:07.:29:12.

demonstrate her new ability to read minds. OK. I need a little bit of

:29:12.:29:16.

help from one of you. I'm going to pick - going to pick you, if that's

:29:16.:29:20.

OK. And I basically need you to think of a card, any card that you

:29:21.:29:27.

like at all. OK. So do you have a card in mind? Yeah. So what I need

:29:27.:29:31.

you to do now is really concentrate on that card, focus on that card as

:29:31.:29:38.

much as you can, OK? OK. OK. I think I'm getting a picture. OK.

:29:38.:29:43.

Right. OK. I need to draw it. Where should I draw it? I'll tell you

:29:43.:29:53.
:29:53.:29:56.

I'm a good artist. It's going to be amazing. She is so close! Keep

:29:56.:30:05.

thinking. She's doing this suit and everything. She is committing.

:30:05.:30:15.
:30:15.:30:28.

done. Do you have it in your mind? No. It's not? Give me a second.

:30:28.:30:35.

see what you're doing. OK, that is the top card of a deck of cards.

:30:35.:30:42.

Your card is in there. What is it? Seven of diamonds. A well, it is in

:30:42.:30:47.

the deck. If you take it, you can actually shake it and caused it to

:30:47.:30:57.
:30:57.:31:16.

You've got to make sure. It is there, right? It's a good tattoo,

:31:16.:31:21.

it looks good on you. It really is permanent mark there. I've never

:31:21.:31:27.

seen magic like that before. Lost for words! It just came out of his

:31:27.:31:37.
:31:37.:31:39.

Remind me not to play poker with Latimer. Next, with their location

:31:39.:31:48.

Grande illusion, give it up for Pete and Keith in Bonnie Scotland.

:31:48.:31:58.

Welcome to Scotland! Stop that. It's kind of annoying. It's nice to

:31:58.:32:03.

be here in Edinburgh. It's lovely, but it is freezing. We need an

:32:03.:32:09.

assistant. Would you help? Would that be all right? Give us a hand.

:32:09.:32:17.

Nice and easy, guys. You must be a ballet dancer? That was graceful.

:32:17.:32:22.

What is your name? Sandra Boss stopped I'm Pete, this is Keith.

:32:22.:32:29.

You will not know this, but he is actually a psychic Troicki Li Na --

:32:29.:32:34.

psychic dry-cleaner. He's unique, because he does it wet. We have a

:32:34.:32:37.

line of clothing, T-shirts, underpants and one thing and

:32:37.:32:42.

another. Without saying it out loud, pick an item of clothing from the

:32:42.:32:46.

line and remember the exact item of clothing you are thinking about.

:32:46.:32:52.

Don't tell anybody. Have you got one in mind? You are not going to

:32:52.:32:57.

tell anyone? OK. Keith, get yourself ready up there. Come this

:32:57.:33:02.

way. We are on the Royal Mile. It has a gradient of about... Well, it

:33:02.:33:05.

is very steep. That is really important for what he is about to

:33:05.:33:10.

do. Psychics use crystal balls. It's a little-known fact that the

:33:10.:33:16.

better the psychic, the bigger the balls. That is impressive. Let me

:33:16.:33:21.

show you what we are going to do. Come round this side. Keith, if you

:33:21.:33:29.

would not mind entering the crystal ball. Excuse me, this is not easy.

:33:29.:33:35.

Fantastic! All right? Now, Sandra, this laundry is identical to do

:33:35.:33:39.

things that you have just looked at on the washing line. We have

:33:39.:33:43.

duplicates. Let's get back inside the crystal ball. Look at that,

:33:43.:33:53.

that is one of Latimer's! If you could just put those inside.

:33:53.:34:00.

can have this one back, I think it is yours. The last lot. Very good.

:34:00.:34:04.

Excellent. Fantastic. The idea is that you are thinking of an item of

:34:04.:34:08.

clothing. Keith is going to try to define your thoughts and find the

:34:08.:34:13.

duplicate item. To do this, you are going to have to create a psychic

:34:13.:34:17.

connection. Just put your head out for the psychic connection. Just a

:34:17.:34:22.

little bit lower. Look into his eyes. Concentrate. It's scary,

:34:22.:34:29.

isn't it? Not only is he going to find your piece of laundry, it is

:34:29.:34:39.

getting cleaned. So, let's get this in. It's freezing! Why don't you

:34:39.:34:43.

put a bucket of water in there? were supposed to heat the water

:34:43.:34:52.

run! It's a 40 degree, don't worry We are going to need to be

:34:52.:35:02.
:35:02.:35:06.

detergent. One squirt and the dirt Getting there! Fantastic. If you

:35:06.:35:14.

could seal it up, we will get that sealed up. Fantastic. Now, so he

:35:14.:35:20.

can hear us, we have this loud hailer. All right in there? Yes!

:35:20.:35:24.

don't need that. Keep concentrating on your item of clothing. Have you

:35:24.:35:34.
:35:34.:35:38.

got it in mind? OK, help me count He's going! He is part hamster.

:35:38.:35:48.
:35:48.:36:06.

Here is what happened. You looked at an item of clothing on the

:36:06.:36:09.

washing line, you thought about it, nobody told you what to pick. You

:36:09.:36:15.

have not told anybody what it was. Fantastic, here he is. The boy

:36:15.:36:25.
:36:25.:36:28.

wonder. What have you got? The blue vest? No. It's not. Maybe you will

:36:28.:36:34.

have to do... What was it? Grab the item of clothing that you were

:36:34.:36:40.

thinking of. Was it far-off? Not even close. Let's have a look. He

:36:40.:36:46.

went even in the right ball park. The underpants. You were miles away.

:36:46.:36:56.
:36:56.:37:23.

A lot of very excited ladies across Britain right now. We actually have

:37:23.:37:27.

his son in the audience. Your dad in his underpants on national

:37:27.:37:31.

television, you must be proud? Did he do a good job? Yes, I'm very

:37:31.:37:36.

impressed with what I've seen so far. Good stuff coming up? I was

:37:36.:37:40.

talking to Pete, apparently it is quite dangerous so I'm looking

:37:40.:37:46.

forward to seeing it. We are at halfway mark. The Act have

:37:46.:37:51.

performed two tricks each. But they still have two left to perform.

:37:51.:37:58.

Nobody isn't be safe from the death-defying forfeit. But he who

:37:58.:38:08.
:38:08.:38:24.

Please get the bill payer's permission. Anyway, let's get

:38:24.:38:28.

straight back into the magic. Next, with their live closer up trick,

:38:28.:38:38.
:38:38.:38:40.

Barry and Stuart and the boys from We have been asking everybody to

:38:40.:38:44.

send the name of a playing card through social media. You can

:38:44.:38:48.

please stop sending nose right now. Before the show began, Daniel and

:38:48.:38:53.

Tyger took a card from this brand new DEC. They signed their initials

:38:53.:38:57.

on the back. To make this as fair as we can, they will be shown in

:38:57.:39:02.

the bottom of your screen at all times. Thousands of you have been

:39:02.:39:06.

sending in random playing cards. These are now being displayed on

:39:06.:39:09.

the two screens behind us. If you look carefully enough, you might

:39:09.:39:16.

see your name on television. Indeed you will. Now, we do need somebody

:39:16.:39:21.

in the crowd to help. Daniel is going to choose, at random, who

:39:21.:39:28.

that is going to be by throwing into the audience this Brecko. --

:39:28.:39:32.

house brick. Don't worry, it is made of sponge. He has no idea

:39:32.:39:38.

where it is going to go. Try to catch it. If it lands near you,

:39:38.:39:44.

grab it. Stand-up. He's very small! We need you to make the most

:39:44.:39:50.

important decision, the first decision, do you want us to use the

:39:50.:39:54.

social network Facebook or do you want to use Twitter? One or the

:39:54.:40:03.

other. One! I think that means Facebook. Facebook or Twitter?

:40:03.:40:13.
:40:13.:40:20.

Now Daniel is going to throw another object. It's a hammer.

:40:20.:40:24.

Unlike the last one, this one actually is real. If it comes near

:40:24.:40:31.

you, or catch it. Some of you might be thinking that Daniel has been

:40:31.:40:34.

practising for the 2012 Olympics hammer throw. The person that has

:40:34.:40:39.

got it, can you throw it somewhere else. Anyway you like. She is

:40:39.:40:49.
:40:49.:40:52.

Stand-up. A very tall person! Excellent. A man with the beard?

:40:52.:40:57.

would like you to look at these two feeds that we have and call out

:40:57.:41:03.

stop at any point you like. Stop! Right there. There are loads of

:41:03.:41:08.

cards on the screen. This is the most important decision. We want

:41:08.:41:12.

you to just choose one of them at random and call it out as loud as

:41:12.:41:21.

you can. Eight of spades! That was sent by Ethan Bagshaw. He is about

:41:21.:41:24.

to be inundated with friend requests. Do you remember which

:41:24.:41:30.

playing-card you signed? The eight of spades! They don't lie. Thank

:41:30.:41:34.

you very much. A lot of you are buying that! Are very trusting

:41:34.:41:38.

crowd. I think the people at home might want to see that. The eight

:41:39.:41:42.

of spades. This shot has been on your screen the entire time as we

:41:43.:41:48.

have done this. It is right there. On the back is actually the

:41:48.:41:55.

initials. Even better than that,... You are probably thinking that they

:41:55.:42:05.
:42:05.:42:07.

have signed all of them. That's not possible, we had two very tall

:42:07.:42:12.

people check. But actually, the only one without a blue plaque is

:42:12.:42:22.
:42:22.:42:26.

that one there, the eight of I'm glad you didn't use the real

:42:26.:42:31.

hammer, like in rehearsals. That didn't go too well. It is time for

:42:31.:42:37.

Pete and Keith's turn. It is St magic in Dublin. I say Street Magic

:42:37.:42:47.
:42:47.:42:54.

loosely, being a good Irishman he Hello, ladies. How are you? I'm

:42:54.:42:59.

very well, how are you? You are looking lovely today. How why you?

:42:59.:43:05.

I need your help. He is a fantastic magician, this guy. But I think I

:43:05.:43:10.

am better. I'm going to show you this magic trick. There is the

:43:10.:43:15.

bottle. A bottle of cola. I want you to hold it there. You have seen

:43:15.:43:19.

opera singers singing, and when they hit a high note, a wine glass

:43:19.:43:28.

smashes. That is what we want to recreate, my way. Will that it? We

:43:28.:43:33.

are going to put the coin in there. I need you to shake it about. Think

:43:33.:43:43.
:43:43.:43:49.

I told you! Impressed? I'm very I think I've got something similar.

:43:49.:43:54.

Whatever I do, he has to do better. Let's try something else. This

:43:54.:44:01.

would be tough. Could you hold that? Just check it and hit the

:44:01.:44:09.

sides. Make sure it is solid. Cupid outstretched and concentrate. I

:44:09.:44:17.

just need some of your energy. energy? Just put your hand on my

:44:17.:44:22.

shoulder. Just think, break. It's not going to work, don't worry.

:44:22.:44:27.

He's not going to be able to do it. I'll try my best. It might not work.

:44:27.:44:37.
:44:37.:44:43.

LAUGHTER Ooh! That was amazing. That was

:44:43.:44:50.

amazing. Could you do me another favour? Here you go. Would you

:44:50.:44:56.

clean up that glass? Mwah! LAUGHTER

:44:56.:45:06.

Ooh! Very shocked. I don't know how he did it. I haven't a clue how he

:45:06.:45:08.

done it. That was great. I wish I could do it.

:45:08.:45:18.
:45:18.:45:19.

Don't attempt that trick at home, folks or down the pub, for that

:45:19.:45:23.

matter. They won't be very happy. We have the lovely Flavia and

:45:23.:45:29.

Latimer here, everybody. How are you feeling? Good, excited. How are

:45:29.:45:34.

you going - what are you going to do? We have a trick that involves

:45:34.:45:44.

the two of us, a bus and some handcuffs. Handcuffs? Yes. Say no

:45:44.:45:54.
:45:54.:46:01.

more. Flavia and Latimer on MUSIC

:46:01.:46:05.

Ladies and gentlemen, thank you so much for joining us here at the

:46:05.:46:10.

Essex Arena Raceway. As you can see, we have two wooden crates on

:46:10.:46:14.

opposite sides of the track. Those will be locked tight with shackles

:46:14.:46:19.

and padlocks. I am going to have one pair of handcuffs on. He'll

:46:19.:46:23.

have two. Each of us is in a separate box. The only difference

:46:23.:46:27.

between her crate and mine is Flavia has access to the padlock on

:46:27.:46:30.

the outside of the crate. I don't. She has to escape from the padlocks

:46:30.:46:35.

to put her hands on the outside of the holes to unlock the padlock,

:46:35.:46:39.

then grab my keys from this flag post and unlock my crate. If it all

:46:39.:46:43.

goes to plan, it will all go very smoothly. There is one problem -

:46:43.:46:51.

that bus. The bus driver has been instructed to make one lap, then

:46:52.:46:58.

crash through both crates and to stop for no reason - at all.

:46:58.:47:01.

guys are actually going to be passengers on the bus, so you're

:47:01.:47:04.

going to be living the whole experience live. So hold on tight.

:47:04.:47:08.

Ladies and gentlemen, I do want to make a point to say this is

:47:08.:47:11.

probably the most dangerous escape I have ever done - frankly because

:47:11.:47:16.

it's no longer an individual sport. It's a relay race. Are you ready?

:47:16.:47:20.

Yeah, I think we should go for it. All right. Let's do this. OK. Good

:47:20.:47:30.
:47:30.:47:57.

Ready to go? Good luck. OK. If you'd like to put your helmets on

:47:58.:48:07.
:48:08.:48:08.

Apology for the loss of subtitles for 171 seconds

:48:08.:50:02.

Is everyone OK? Amazing! CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

:50:02.:50:06.

Latimer, you cheeky monkey! If you liked that, there is plenty more to

:50:06.:50:12.

come, and if you want to learn a few tricks yourself and impress all

:50:12.:50:18.

your mates, you can go to our website, and they're all on there.

:50:18.:50:22.

You have seen all the acts perform three times tonight. They've got

:50:22.:50:27.

one more trick left up their sleeve before we close the phone lines.

:50:27.:50:32.

Things are really hotting up, quite literally, for one of our acts, so

:50:32.:50:36.

pick up the phone and vote for your favourite to save from forfeit.

:50:36.:50:42.

This is your last chance to see the phone number, so if you haven't got

:50:42.:50:52.
:50:52.:51:12.

Calls cost 15p from a BT landline. Other networks may vary. Calls from

:51:12.:51:15.

mobiles will cost considerably more. Please get the bill payer's

:51:15.:51:20.

permission. Now time for our last live close-up magic for the night -

:51:20.:51:22.

it's Latimer and Flavia. Here they are.

:51:22.:51:32.

Thank you. Thank you. Today beer going to be doing a little bit of

:51:32.:51:36.

close-up magic right here in the audience, but we need calm of

:51:36.:51:40.

volunteers. Let's go and find them. We're going to go deep into the

:51:41.:51:45.

audience. Thought you were safe up here, didn't you? Can I have you if

:51:45.:51:55.
:51:55.:51:57.

that's OK. And your name is? Priu. Alex. Lovely to meet you. Stand

:51:57.:52:00.

right here. I'd like you to stand right there.

:52:00.:52:06.

APPLAUSE And your names? Alex. This uses

:52:06.:52:13.

coins from back home, but it's a neat little effect I think you'll

:52:13.:52:18.

enjoy. We have a handkerchief. If you could hold each coin in each

:52:18.:52:23.

hand tight, a little bit lower. That's perfect. I would like you to

:52:24.:52:29.

imagine a hole right here - when you can't see and when you can't

:52:29.:52:34.

you can't see and when you can't feel. I'll place those coins On the

:52:34.:52:44.
:52:44.:52:44.

imaginary hole. I'll take one hand - see it grip? Just pull that coin

:52:44.:52:49.

through the hole. Pretty cool, huh? Here. Why don't you hold on to one

:52:49.:52:55.

coin. Let's do it again. Can I have a go? Of course. Let's go for it.

:52:55.:53:00.

As we said, we have an imaginary hole you can't see on top. It's

:53:00.:53:04.

here. Trust me. You can't see it, and of course, you can't feel it.

:53:04.:53:11.

Here we go. OK. So I am going to give this a go. A little bit lower.

:53:11.:53:15.

Perfect. OK. Here we go. Voila. Right through.

:53:15.:53:23.

APPLAUSE That's one, and that's two, but -

:53:23.:53:26.

APPLAUSE It gets better. We're going to take

:53:26.:53:32.

one, and we're going to go the opposite direction.

:53:32.:53:34.

APPLAUSE Thank you. Watch. I'll place it

:53:34.:53:37.

through the bottom. Go ahead and let go of everything. Go ahead and

:53:37.:53:42.

let go of all the corners. We'll take one last peek to make sure the

:53:42.:53:47.

coin is underneath the silk, right? I'll give it one twist. I'll hold

:53:47.:53:53.

that. I'm going to take off my ring. I'm going to place all four corners

:53:53.:53:57.

through this solid metal ring. That will make sure nothing happens from

:53:57.:54:00.

below. LAUGHTER

:54:00.:54:04.

So we're almost there. So as you can see, that coin is completely

:54:04.:54:10.

trapped by the ring, OK? If I could ask you to take the two corners as

:54:10.:54:15.

you did before - and if you could do the same - and if you gently

:54:15.:54:22.

pull, we're going to rub the material gently, and here we go - I

:54:22.:54:25.

can see it - there you go. APPLAUSE

:54:26.:54:30.

Imagine that. APPLAUSE

:54:30.:54:36.

Thank you so much - Pria, thank you. Everyone in that bottom row, I

:54:36.:54:39.

highly suggest you check your wallets as well. Do not trust that

:54:39.:54:45.

guy! Next up, with their last chance to avoid the dreaded forfeit,

:54:45.:54:52.

it's with their street magic, here is Barry, Stuart and the boys from

:54:52.:55:00.

Outnumbered. Today we're going to try to cure

:55:00.:55:05.

people of their deepest, darkest phobias using something everybody

:55:05.:55:12.

loves, coffee. What do you think, guys? We're helping people out.

:55:12.:55:18.

don't like coffee. Coffee is not everyone's cup of tea. I like that.

:55:18.:55:24.

I thought I was going to get a bigger reaction. We're going to

:55:24.:55:27.

need a few volunteers. I think you should go out and get them because

:55:27.:55:29.

you're the youngest. That's how it works.

:55:29.:55:36.

That guy - hello. Why not. Got some people - good job. You did good.

:55:36.:55:40.

Let's try some group therapy. What's your name? Hannah. All we

:55:40.:55:48.

need to do is get in mind an insect you really don't like? Maggots.

:55:48.:55:53.

Hate maggots? What we're going to try to do now is cure your phobia.

:55:53.:55:59.

We're going to borrow your coffee. What you got there? It looks like

:55:59.:56:03.

black coffee to me - good. What we want you to do is concentrate on

:56:03.:56:07.

your phobia, think about your fear of maggots. Give me your hands and

:56:07.:56:10.

cup them like that. That's perfect. Concentrate on it. We're going to

:56:11.:56:20.
:56:21.:56:29.

Absolutely horrified. They're just creepy, wet and disgusting. What

:56:29.:56:39.
:56:39.:56:49.

Tell me what your fear is. Locusts. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Concentrate

:56:49.:56:57.

on your phobia of cockroaches right now. Very good job today, guys.

:56:57.:57:01.

Shall we go celebrate? Yeah, let's go get a coffee. Let's get a

:57:01.:57:06.

coffee! APPLAUSE

:57:06.:57:10.

Disgusting, but quite brilliant. Anyway, folks, we're going to close

:57:10.:57:14.

our phone lines very, very soon. We have about five minutes left - five

:57:14.:57:19.

minutes to pick up the phone and vote for your favourite. As soon as

:57:19.:57:24.

we finish our final performance for the night, they will be closed, and

:57:24.:57:30.

speaking of which, here is our live grand illusion - give it up for

:57:30.:57:32.

Pete and Keith. APPLAUSE

:57:32.:57:36.

They love us. It's going great, isn't it, really well. It's going

:57:36.:57:42.

fantastic. We have done our best, worked hard. Edinburgh went great.

:57:42.:57:50.

Sensational. We had great fun in the pub in Dublin. Smashing time!

:57:50.:57:54.

Altogether. We have saved the best for last, and you have been so good

:57:54.:57:59.

through the whole process that I am going to give you the part of the

:57:59.:58:03.

magician. Going to let me do the illusion? Yeah, absolutely. I want

:58:03.:58:06.

to play the part of the assistant, so tonight you're going to be the

:58:06.:58:09.

magician and you're going to be the assistant.

:58:09.:58:16.

So I get to put you in the box and stick swords in you? Yeah. This

:58:17.:58:19.

trick is fantastic. It's got everything - it's got danger. It's

:58:19.:58:24.

got fire. It's got me. What more could you want? It's funny you say

:58:24.:58:28.

that, Pete, because I really feel like I went all out tonight to look

:58:28.:58:33.

like a magician. I feel like I look the part. Oh, yes.

:58:33.:58:35.

APPLAUSE They agree with me. But I'm sorry

:58:35.:58:40.

to say, pal, you don't look much like the glamorous assistant I was

:58:40.:58:43.

hoping for. No, Keith, this isn't the outfit, fella. This is!

:58:43.:58:53.
:58:53.:59:14.

Keith, come here. Come here. Get off!

:59:14.:59:24.
:59:24.:59:24.

Apology for the loss of subtitles for 171 seconds

:59:24.:01:03.

Pete and Keith, everybody! Come on over. That was brilliant. Baffling,

:01:03.:01:08.

I don't know what baffled me more, the trick or how I felt when I saw

:01:08.:01:13.

you in that outfit. It is rather dashing. I am putting Flavia to

:01:13.:01:20.

shame! Custom-made, no doubt. Wax for the occasion? There were

:01:20.:01:25.

already, but we won't go into that. Very good with your magician hands

:01:25.:01:30.

as well. I was practising all day. Even though I did that for the

:01:30.:01:34.

first time just now. Danger, fire, sexy, what else do you want? The

:01:34.:01:44.
:01:44.:01:48.

How do you feel after seeing that? Fabulous. Everybody has been

:01:48.:01:52.

amazing, but we have given our best. You think you have done everything

:01:52.:02:01.

you can do? Absolutely, we have put everything into it. How about that

:02:01.:02:07.

amazing dance you do, as one last attempt to get more votes? Do you

:02:07.:02:11.

think you are going to take up the magical stick to the day job?

:02:11.:02:16.

Probably stick to my day job. But I think it did go well. I think they

:02:16.:02:26.
:02:26.:02:28.

You have now seen four tricks from all four acts. That means that the

:02:28.:02:33.

lines are now close! Please do not vote any more. It will not count

:02:33.:02:38.

and you may be charged. Nail-biting stuff, we are about to find out he

:02:38.:02:42.

was facing the deadly forfeit shortly. Whilst the votes are being

:02:42.:02:46.

counted we have a special performance. If you did get a magic

:02:46.:02:52.

set for Christmas, kids, pay close attention. We are about to see the

:02:52.:02:59.

team magic champions and stars of the film's Make Believe. It is East

:02:59.:03:08.

meets West. All the way from Nagoya, Japan, and Anchorage, Alaska, it is

:03:08.:03:18.
:03:18.:03:18.

Apology for the loss of subtitles for 171 seconds

:03:18.:07:52.

Brilliant command teenagers as well. What a great way to finish. That is

:07:52.:07:57.

the last bit of magic you will see. It is time to get serious and

:07:57.:08:02.

revealed the results of the votes. Which actor impressed to the most?

:08:02.:08:12.
:08:12.:08:15.

Who has escaped the forfeit? May I I can now reveal the act with the

:08:15.:08:20.

most of votes, who is definitely saved from performing the forfeit

:08:20.:08:30.
:08:30.:08:51.

It is Barry and Stuart and the boys We now have Latimer and Fabio and

:08:51.:08:57.

Pete and Keith. The person who has the least amount of votes tonight

:08:57.:09:07.
:09:07.:09:15.

and will have to swallow fire and It is Pete and Keith!

:09:15.:09:24.

Congratulations to Latimer and Fabio. -- Fabio. I'm sorry. It's

:09:24.:09:34.
:09:34.:09:36.

all right. Unlucky. Unlucky?! That is a fix! Are they sending out the

:09:36.:09:41.

same show from the broadcast truck? My grandmother has been on the

:09:41.:09:45.

phone, there is no way I lost that. It's time to compose yourself and

:09:45.:09:49.

get into the zone. While you do that, let's remind everybody at

:09:49.:09:59.
:09:59.:10:01.

home of the horror that is just For tonight's terrifying forfeit,

:10:01.:10:05.

the loser must swallow a flaming torch of blistering hot fire, which

:10:05.:10:10.

burns at an intensity of 300 degrees centigrade. With the flame

:10:10.:10:17.

extinguished, they must pour molten metal into their mouth and spit it

:10:17.:10:26.

Nasty stuff. I will need an audience member to verify

:10:26.:10:30.

everything. Hands up if you would like to volunteer. You, at the

:10:30.:10:38.

front. A round of applause! What is your name? J? I just want you to

:10:38.:10:42.

confirm that the fire is very hot. You don't have to touch it. As

:10:42.:10:50.

close as possible. We'll fire? Yes? Step back, this is dangerous stuff.

:10:50.:10:55.

I do need to point out to everybody watching this that Keith has not

:10:55.:11:00.

rehearsed this before. Under no circumstances should you attempt to

:11:00.:11:04.

do this forfeit at home. They are incredibly dangerous. I'm going

:11:04.:11:11.

home! You don't have that option. To complete his final challenge...

:11:11.:11:16.

In is it real fire? Of course, I am right next to it. All right, Kung

:11:16.:11:26.
:11:26.:11:28.

I will do this down on one knee. I don't have to do this like this, it

:11:28.:11:33.

is just more dramatic. Aiming for your tongue, bring it to the back

:11:33.:11:39.

of your mouth and breathe out. That is very important. Don't breed in!

:11:39.:11:49.
:11:49.:12:05.

It's as easy as that. I don't want to burn my beard! Don't try this at

:12:06.:12:15.
:12:16.:12:16.

It was nice working with you. is the end of the singing career.

:12:16.:12:26.
:12:26.:12:27.

It can only improve my singing, I need some water. Do you want to

:12:27.:12:35.

do it on your knees, or stand up? I'll do it sideways. Seriously,

:12:35.:12:45.
:12:45.:13:01.

focused. Remember, the town and the You are only halfway through. You

:13:01.:13:11.
:13:11.:13:22.

now have to gargle with hot, molten Hot lips. Keith, this is molten

:13:22.:13:27.

metal. It is obviously very hot. He's got it in... What do you call

:13:27.:13:37.
:13:37.:13:45.

that? A furnace. He is going to put Now, this one is a little trickier.

:13:45.:13:54.

My lips are on fire! Do I have to do this? You could run. Into the

:13:54.:13:58.

mouth, throw your head back. Pennine not just do some vodka or

:13:58.:14:08.

one! Time to play dress up. into your tongue, tilt your head

:15:00.:15:07.

back. I'm not going to do what you did, you got it or love yourself!

:15:07.:15:11.

Hurry up, or we will have to cut to the lottery and everybody will

:15:11.:15:21.
:15:21.:16:01.

shaking your head. Spit it out. Is that real mettle? Yes. Real

:16:01.:16:11.
:16:11.:16:13.

Well done, you have ruined a perfectly nice suit.

:16:13.:16:18.
