Banbury. This is a brilliant project which trains Assistant dogs for

adults and children with varying disabilities. We were fortunate in

1997 to get a grant from the lottery. They received further

funding in 2009 for Paws is the project continues to grow and

reaches more people. Dogs for the disabled means dogs are good for us.

We support clients with a range of disabilities and conditions. The

underlying theme for all our work is interaction between dogs and people

which is a very positive thing. such person to benefit is

14-year-old Natasha who has cerebral palsy and was paired up with the

amazing Gyles a year ago. She's since had her life transformed.

best friend because he's really helpful and really cute and friendly

-- Gyles. When I'm having a bad day, he'll always be there. We drop

something on the floor, we take it for granted that we can lean down

and pick it up. Natasha's sense of balance means that's not easy for

her. Gyles is always there. He's a really massive difference.

Definitely given me more independence because I wasn't able

to join in with what my friends were dog. Gyles has helped Natasha focus

on a dream of becoming a paralympian and I have a surprise to get her one

step closer to achieving that. If I said to you, Sophie

Christianson, do you know who that is? She's a Paralympic gold

medallist in dressage. Well, we spoke to Sophie and her coach and

you are going to have a lesson with them. Yes. Wow! Amazing!It's going

see the work that Dogs for Disableside doing. You are helping

clearly enjoying that bone. deserves it. Earlier this week, as

promised, Natasha got to train with National Lottery-funded Paralympian,

Sophie Christensen, and even got to ride Janeiro, the horse Sophie won

Gold with at London 2012. The experience has really spurred

Natasha on to pursue her dream of becoming a Paralympic dressage
