Of the nine contestants preparing for today's show,

only one will take home prize money of up to £10,000.

The rest will leave with nothing as one by one they're voted the weakest link.

Any of the nine people in the studio here today

could win up to £10,000.

They don't know each other. However, if they want the money

they'll have to work as a team. But eight will leave with nothing,

as round by round we lose the player voted the weakest link.

My name is Duncan. I'm 34, from Grantham in Lincolnshire and I'm a lorry driver.

I'm Ben, I'm 26, from Hereford and I'm an IT manager.

I'm Caroline, I'm 37 years old, I'm from the West Midlands and I'm a district nurse.

Now the rules. The aim is to answer enough questions correctly to reach

your £1000 target within the time limit.

The fastest way is to create a chain of nine correct answers.

Get a question wrong, you lose the money in the chain.

If you say bank before the question is asked the money is safe.

But you start a new chain. Remember, at the end of the round

only money that's been banked can be taken forward.
