Of nine contestants preparing for today's show,

only one will take home prize money of up to £10,000.

The rest will leave with nothing as one by one they're voted off as the weakest link.

Any of the nine people in the studio here today

could win up to £10,000.

They don't know each other. However, if they want the money, they'll have to work as a team.

But eight will leave with nothing

as round by round we lose the player voted the weakest link.

In each round, you aim to answer enough questions

to reach your £1,000 target

within the time limit.

The fastest way is to create a chain

of nine correct answers.

Get a question wrong, you lose the money in the chain.

If you say "bank" before the question is asked, the money is safe.

But you start a new chain from scratch.

At the end of the round,

only banked money is taken forward.
