Of the nine people preparing for today's show

only one will take home the prize money of up to £10,000.

The others will get nothing after their team-mates vote them the weakest link.

Welcome to The Weakest Link.

Any of the nine people in the studio here today could win up to £10,000.

They don't know each other. But if they want the prize money,

they'll have to work as a team.

But eight of them will leave with nothing,

as round by round we lose the player voted the weakest link.

Let's meet the team.

I'm Pam, I'm 48, a social researcher from Liverpool.

I'm Miles, I'm 21, a politics student from Chichester, W Sussex.

I'm Diana, 34, a mother and housewife from Reigate in Surrey.

I'm Shaun, 47, a bus driving instructor from Stanley, Co Durham.

Caroline, 29, a health and safety consultant from Peterborough.

I'm Keith, I'm 39, a psychiatric nurse from West Glamorgan.

Graham, 63, a print trade artist from Keynsham near Bristol.

Jo, 66, a retired communications aide from Warwickshire.

I'm Peter, I'm 52 years old, a telecom engineer from Ayrshire.

In each round the aim is to get enough questions right

to hit your £1000 target within the time limit.

The fastest way is to create a chain of nine correct.

Get your question wrong, you break the chain and lose all the money in it.

Say "bank" before a question and the money is safe,

however, you start a new chain from scratch. And remember, at the end of the round,

only banked money can be carried forward.
