Here are today's contestants,

preparing for the show.

Only one will get the prize

of up to £10,000.

The others leave with nothing,

as their team-mates vote them the weakest link.

Any of the nine people in the studio here today could win up to £10,000.

They don't know each other,

but if they want the money, they'll have to work as a team.

as round by round we lose the player voted the weakest link.

I'm Clive. I'm 44 years old, and I'm a delivery driver from Birmingham.

I'm Rod. I'm 37. I'm a paramedic from Howick in the Scottish borders.

I'm Irene. I'm 44, a leisure attendant from Abergele, North Wales.

I'm Bob. I'm 52. I'm a safety officer from Middlesbrough.

I'm Lynne. I'm 38. I work in a library in Milton Keynes.

I'm Paul. I'm 31, and I'm a writer and musician from Chippenham near Bath.

I'm Ryan. I'm 22 and I'm a post office manager from Plymouth.

I'm Sybil. I'm 63. I'm retired and I come from Stevenage in Hertfordshire.

The aim is to answer enough questions correctly

to reach your £1000 target within the time limit.

The fastest way is to create a chain of nine correct answers.

Get your question wrong and you break the chain, and lose the money in that chain.

If you say "bank" before the question, it's safe. But you start again.

Remember, at the end of the round,

only money that has been banked can be taken forward.
