Here are today's team of nine contestants.

Only one will go home with the prize money

of up to £10,000.

The others leave with nothing, as they're voted the weakest link.

Any of the nine people here today could win up to £10,000.

They don't know each other,

but if they want to win, they'll have to work as a team.

But eight of them will leave with nothing,

as round by round, we lose the player voted

the weakest link.

I'm Eileen, 54, from Wombourne, Staffordshire. I'm a special school head teacher.

I'm Richard, 29, a call centre manager from Coventry.

I'm a journalist and currently a student.

Now, the rules. In each round, you aim

to answer enough questions correctly to hit a £1000 target.

The fastest way is to create a chain of nine correct answers.

Get your question wrong, and you break the chain

and lose all the money in it.

If you say "bank" before the question is asked, the money is safe,

but you start a new chain from scratch.

At the end of a round, only money that's banked can be carried forward.

In Round One there are three minutes.
