Episode 4 I Lár an Aonaigh

APPLAUSE

Been a long time coming for myself, you know,

going and watching the Green and White Army for over 30 years

with my friend Robin and a few other friends.

We never, ever thought in our lifetime we'd get to go to

France, or even to a World Cup.

But the opportunity came along. We took it. We're going.

All our sons are going, the whole family is going.

We're making a three-week holiday out of it

and we're going to travel around France.

We got our tickets first time round and it's just going to be

a totally amazing experience and we can't wait.

It's about being there and it's about having a good time.

The group itself is very tough.

There's Germany, Poland, Ukraine. What do you think the chances are?

I think the pressure's on those three sides

because people will never really give Northern Ireland much credit.

In fact, qualifying's an achievement for us.

We're hoping those three teams will worry more about each other

than they'll worry about us and we'll just take it as it comes.

Can you imagine what the buzz is going to be like in the stadiums?

I honestly can't wait to experience it.

I've waited 25 years as a Northern Ireland supporter,

to get to the finals, and I'm just going to go

and enjoy every minute of it, like every other supporter.

For me, really, it's the whole experience of going to

a finals and experiencing everything else that goes with it.

Yes, I'm looking forward to the individual games,

but to actually say that I'm going to a finals...

Because it may never happen in my lifetime again,

that experience in itself is just worth its weight in gold.
