If all you wanted in life was to spend quality time with

0:00:020:00:05

the people you love, how far would you go to achieve your dream?

0:00:050:00:09

In 2014, the Bone family were considering swapping

0:00:090:00:13

their life in Scotland for a new start in Australia.

0:00:130:00:17

Today, one year on,

0:00:170:00:19

we'll find out if they've gone ahead with the life-changing move.

0:00:190:00:23

Back in 2014, the Bones were struggling to balance work

0:00:230:00:27

and family life.

0:00:270:00:28

Dad's not here when we come in from school.

0:00:280:00:31

Dad's not up when we leave for school in the morning.

0:00:310:00:34

They believed Australia could be the answer,

0:00:340:00:36

and a trial week down under didn't disappoint.

0:00:360:00:39

No way!

0:00:390:00:41

That's just amazing.

0:00:420:00:44

So, 12 months later, have the Bones made it

0:00:440:00:46

-to the other side of the world?

-What do we do now?

0:00:460:00:49

Is the dream over now, before it's even started?

0:00:490:00:52

In the last 20 years,

0:01:160:01:18

over 600,000 British citizens have moved to Australia.

0:01:180:01:22

They are drawn by the lure of the country's 10,500 beaches,

0:01:220:01:26

an average nine hours' sunshine every day

0:01:260:01:29

and the outdoor lifestyle that comes as a result.

0:01:290:01:32

On the surface, the Bone family had a comfortable life

0:01:340:01:37

in a beautiful part of the world.

0:01:370:01:39

But mum Sarah believed it came at a price

0:01:390:01:41

she was no longer willing to pay.

0:01:410:01:44

A year ago, the family spent a week experiencing everything Australia

0:01:440:01:48

could offer, before deciding whether to move there for good.

0:01:480:01:52

Today, we'll catch up with the family and find out where

0:01:520:01:56

in the world they now call home.

0:01:560:01:59

The Bones' trial week in Perth began with more than 10,000 miles

0:01:590:02:02

in the air, but they'd taken the 20-hour journey in their stride.

0:02:020:02:06

It's certainly better than we expected, I think.

0:02:100:02:12

The kids were great on it. So it's doable.

0:02:120:02:15

It was the family's first time on Australian soil

0:02:150:02:18

and they were raring to go.

0:02:180:02:20

Stepping out of the plane was really day one of our adventure

0:02:200:02:23

and our prospects of looking into options for a better life.

0:02:230:02:27

It just feels so exciting.

0:02:270:02:29

I just cannot wait to see what's on offer in Perth.

0:02:290:02:32

Ahead lay a week that could change the family's future forever.

0:02:320:02:36

In 2014, home for the Bones was the village of Ochiltree

0:02:390:02:42

in East Ayrshire, in Scotland.

0:02:420:02:44

Mum Sarah lived with Dad Max, Rhiannon, then 15, Cara,

0:02:460:02:50

who was aged nine, and Hayden, who was four.

0:02:500:02:53

We have a really comfortable life, financially.

0:02:530:02:55

Beautiful house, beautiful children.

0:02:550:02:58

It was a long was from the life Sarah once knew.

0:02:580:03:01

Having fallen pregnant with Rhiannon at 16, she found herself alone.

0:03:010:03:05

I had nowhere to stay, and I had to make an application as homeless

0:03:050:03:09

through the local authority.

0:03:090:03:10

To be a parent, a single parent,

0:03:100:03:12

at 16 and to be facing homelessness was pretty scary.

0:03:120:03:16

Determined to build a better future for herself and her daughter,

0:03:160:03:20

Sarah returned to education.

0:03:200:03:22

I really wanted to kind of show people that I had more in me.

0:03:220:03:26

So, whilst being in a hostel accommodation,

0:03:260:03:29

I started my degree

0:03:290:03:31

to turn my life about, for myself and my daughter.

0:03:310:03:35

It's only now that I'm older that I've seen how she struggled,

0:03:350:03:37

but she's done such an amazing job, because I never saw her struggles.

0:03:370:03:41

15 years on, life was very different.

0:03:410:03:44

With financial security, a loving husband and a home of her own,

0:03:440:03:48

everything looked perfect...

0:03:480:03:51

but it wasn't.

0:03:510:03:52

Dad's not here when we come in from school.

0:03:520:03:55

Dad's not up when we leave for school in the morning.

0:03:550:03:58

Max's job with a pizza company meant long and late shifts

0:03:580:04:02

away from the family.

0:04:020:04:04

Where we do spend time as a family, it's great.

0:04:040:04:06

We'll have a fantastic time, but it's few and far between.

0:04:060:04:10

I will get annoyed that Max is working,

0:04:100:04:12

and I know that it's not his fault, but it still becomes really

0:04:120:04:16

frustrating and it just starts a bit of tension,

0:04:160:04:19

and then usually ends up spiralling into something bigger than it was.

0:04:190:04:23

Max agreed things had to change.

0:04:230:04:26

We also want to have time at the end of a working day where you can

0:04:260:04:29

have your downtime, have your fun time.

0:04:290:04:32

For more than five years, both he and Sarah had felt Australia

0:04:320:04:35

could offer their family the ideal life.

0:04:350:04:38

Whether it be naively from watching Home And Away and Neighbours,

0:04:380:04:41

and things like that, as a young person, growing up,

0:04:410:04:43

you have these images, or a vision in your head.

0:04:430:04:46

It's something inside both of us that's just burning away,

0:04:460:04:49

and we just need to look at this seriously.

0:04:490:04:52

But Max also had concerns about moving his family to

0:04:520:04:55

the other side of the world.

0:04:550:04:57

I think it's a great idea. You know, the weather's great,

0:04:570:05:01

the lifestyle looks brilliant, but unless we can get out there

0:05:010:05:05

and get decent jobs, it would just be crazy for us to be that stupid.

0:05:050:05:10

Seeking the perfect family life,

0:05:100:05:12

the couple were pinning their hopes on a country they'd never visited.

0:05:120:05:16

This weekend in Perth is going to be huge for us.

0:05:160:05:19

It really is, for the dream, make or break.

0:05:190:05:23

If it doesn't work out, I think I'll be absolutely gutted.

0:05:230:05:25

The family spent their trial week

0:05:360:05:38

in Western Australia's capital city, Perth.

0:05:380:05:41

Home for the week was this modern three-bedroom house and,

0:05:410:05:44

as a first taste of Aussie living, it didn't disappoint.

0:05:440:05:48

Wow. This is fantastic. Stairs, double.

0:05:500:05:53

-This is gorgeous.

-Two storey.

-This is absolutely gorgeous.

0:05:530:05:56

The whole family could imagine chilling outdoors.

0:05:560:05:59

-This is a big space.

-There's the barbie. Fantastic. Aussie barbie.

0:05:590:06:04

But the realisation their dream could live or die over

0:06:040:06:07

the next week wasn't far from Sarah and Max's thoughts.

0:06:070:06:11

This week in Australia is make or break for us.

0:06:110:06:14

Our concerns are the financial aspects.

0:06:140:06:18

It's a huge, huge thing we're thinking of doing here.

0:06:180:06:21

Back in 2014, the Bones were living in a four-bedroom house

0:06:280:06:31

in the village of Ochiltree in East Ayrshire.

0:06:310:06:34

We have the dream house, and it's going to be really,

0:06:340:06:37

really hard to leave.

0:06:370:06:39

The family had a budget of £300,000 for a home in Australia

0:06:390:06:43

and a clear idea of what they'd like.

0:06:430:06:46

It would need to be four bedrooms.

0:06:460:06:47

Our kids would never cope, having to go back and share a bedroom.

0:06:470:06:52

I've got a bee in my bonnet about a pool.

0:06:520:06:54

That's the swinging point for my three children, to have a pool.

0:06:540:06:57

Even for me, the big one's the pool.

0:06:570:06:59

I'd love a pool.

0:06:590:07:01

I think if we somehow couldn't afford a four-bedroom house

0:07:010:07:05

or the dream property in a nice area, myself and Sarah would

0:07:050:07:08

really need to sit down and have a long, hard discussion about

0:07:080:07:12

whether it was actually worth moving to Australia or not.

0:07:120:07:15

To give the Bones an idea of what was on offer in Perth,

0:07:210:07:24

we showed them three properties.

0:07:240:07:27

Two on-budget, and one which could be their dream home.

0:07:270:07:30

The search began in Butler, a suburb 25 miles north of Perth.

0:07:300:07:36

Did this four-bedroom house get the day off on the right foot?

0:07:360:07:40

-It's darker than I thought.

-Oh, it is dark, isn't it?

0:07:400:07:43

-Quite small as well, isn't it?

-Yeah.

-Really dingy and dark.

0:07:430:07:47

First impressions, wouldn't be

0:07:470:07:49

what I'd hoped to see in an Australian house.

0:07:490:07:53

It wasn't a great start. But spirits brightened with the kitchen.

0:07:530:07:57

What we have got through here? Oh. It's a kitchen. Ooh. Nice.

0:07:570:08:04

Oh, wow, right. OK.

0:08:040:08:06

But not for long.

0:08:060:08:07

I don't like the corrugated iron. That's a big bugbear.

0:08:070:08:11

Max was getting worried.

0:08:110:08:13

Yeah, this is quite... A wee bit concerning now

0:08:130:08:16

if this is the standard that is maybe the only option

0:08:160:08:19

for us in Australia.

0:08:190:08:20

That's isn't good enough.

0:08:200:08:23

Outdoors, though, the garden's dining area was a hit.

0:08:230:08:26

Oh, this is so nice.

0:08:260:08:28

-Nice, isn't it?

-So nice.

0:08:280:08:31

Oh. Do you feel the breeze?

0:08:310:08:33

I definitely see myself sitting at that with an orange

0:08:330:08:36

juice and a croissant in the morning, before work.

0:08:360:08:38

While the garden had the space the Bones were looking for,

0:08:390:08:42

the house's interior had left everyone underwhelmed.

0:08:420:08:47

And they worried their £300,000 budget may not even meet

0:08:470:08:51

the asking price.

0:08:510:08:53

I'm really nervous about turning this card over.

0:08:530:08:55

-If it's at the top of our budget... My stomach's turning.

-Me too.

0:08:550:08:58

-Right, Rhiannon.

-Ready?

-Fingers crossed, guys.

0:08:580:09:02

-Oh, my goodness.

-Wow. That's...

0:09:050:09:07

£267,000.

0:09:100:09:13

It may have been £33,000 below budget,

0:09:130:09:16

but that wasn't enough to impress Max.

0:09:160:09:19

That's extortionate.

0:09:190:09:21

-Extortionate.

-Yeah.

-Absolute rip-off!

0:09:210:09:25

Oh, no. That's really scary for where we go from here.

0:09:250:09:29

I feel really disappointed

0:09:290:09:30

and quite worried about what the rest of the day holds.

0:09:300:09:33

With their day off to such a disappointing start,

0:09:350:09:38

was Sarah and Max's vision of a life down under already in trouble?

0:09:380:09:42

Property number two was also in the Butler area.

0:09:500:09:53

This spacious four-bedroom home should have been just what

0:09:530:09:56

the family were after,

0:09:560:09:58

but did it impress enough to boost their morale?

0:09:580:10:01

-Oh, wow!

-ALL: Ooh!

0:10:010:10:03

Look what's in here, Hayden.

0:10:030:10:06

-Do you like this room?

-This is...

0:10:060:10:09

-lovely.

-This is lovely.

-This is really nice.

0:10:090:10:12

It was a much more promising start.

0:10:120:10:14

And the master bedroom didn't disappoint either.

0:10:140:10:18

-Oh, Sarah!

-There's walk-in wardrobes. Two!

0:10:180:10:21

-SHE GASPS

-We've got half each.

0:10:210:10:24

-Oh. Nice.

-What have we got here?

-Nice.

-Wow.

0:10:240:10:27

This is a huge space as well, isn't it?

0:10:270:10:30

Toilet.

0:10:300:10:32

-Double shower.

-Look at that!

0:10:320:10:35

Oh, this is... This is big!

0:10:350:10:36

This is the kind of bathroom that we would like to have.

0:10:360:10:39

This house seemed to be delivering on all fronts.

0:10:390:10:42

So nice.

0:10:420:10:43

-Look at this space.

-What?!

0:10:430:10:46

-Oh, wow!

-That's amazing.

-This is the dream.

0:10:460:10:49

This feels as if this could be the one.

0:10:500:10:54

-Oh, another bedroom.

-Ooh.

-Oh, this is big as well, isn't it?

0:10:540:10:57

And Max was quick to spot something which indicated this

0:10:570:11:01

could've been the Bones' home from home.

0:11:010:11:04

This is clearly meant to be. This is our house.

0:11:040:11:07

That was a sign. It's meant to be.

0:11:070:11:09

BAGPIPES PLAY

0:11:090:11:12

Outside lay another surprise.

0:11:150:11:18

-Oh.

-Oh, that's amazing.

-It is amazing!

0:11:190:11:23

-This is lovely.

-This. You can imagine this.

-It's lovely.

0:11:250:11:27

This is the dream, isn't it?

0:11:270:11:29

Sitting with a glass of wine, having a chat about our day,

0:11:290:11:32

after school, everybody.

0:11:320:11:34

Just catching up and chilling.

0:11:340:11:37

I think this would be worth working really, really, really hard for.

0:11:370:11:40

Yeah.

0:11:400:11:42

The house seemed tailor-made for the family,

0:11:420:11:44

but was it somewhere they could afford to call home,

0:11:440:11:47

with their £300,000 budget?

0:11:470:11:50

I mean, for me, I'm feeling almost nervous

0:11:520:11:55

that it's beyond what we can afford.

0:11:550:11:57

Because this is the house I want. This is a house we want.

0:11:570:12:00

-Ready, Cara?

-The moment of truth.

0:12:010:12:03

-Oh!

-THE CHILDREN GASP

0:12:100:12:12

No way!

0:12:120:12:13

That's so surprising.

0:12:130:12:16

It was only £17,000 over budget.

0:12:160:12:20

As long as the job situation goes well,

0:12:200:12:23

wow! With a pool.

0:12:230:12:25

-That's amazing.

-That is amazing.

0:12:250:12:27

This house had knocked the family for six

0:12:270:12:30

and emotions were running high.

0:12:300:12:32

Me and my mum have came from a house that's like, you know, two bedrooms.

0:12:320:12:36

It wasn't very nice at all, and she's just done amazing.

0:12:360:12:40

It's just amazing. Wee Rhiannon's getting all emotional.

0:12:400:12:44

I just feel, like, so proud of my mum,

0:12:440:12:47

to have came to this place. Sorry.

0:12:470:12:51

It's just amazing.

0:12:530:12:54

Everyone had fallen for this house, but there was still

0:12:550:12:59

one more to see - the potential dream home we'd found them.

0:12:590:13:02

The final stop was in Quinns Rocks -

0:13:070:13:09

a popular residential suburb just a 30-minute commute

0:13:090:13:12

from Perth city centre.

0:13:120:13:14

This modern new build was just a stone's throw away from the beach,

0:13:140:13:18

but did it have the wow factor of property number two?

0:13:180:13:22

Oh, wow, this is nice.

0:13:220:13:24

-Oh, it's dead bright, isn't it?

-Isn't it?

0:13:250:13:28

That sounded promising.

0:13:280:13:30

Oh, this is huge.

0:13:300:13:32

-Whoa.

-Oh, wow.

0:13:320:13:34

-This is absolutely huge.

-Gorgeous.

0:13:340:13:36

What's in here?

0:13:370:13:38

SHE GASPS

0:13:380:13:40

No way!

0:13:400:13:42

SHE LAUGHS

0:13:420:13:44

-What?!

-Wow!

0:13:440:13:45

Look at the size!

0:13:450:13:47

This is a bedroom!

0:13:470:13:50

Sarah was bowled over,

0:13:500:13:52

and it wasn't long before Max had found his dream spot too.

0:13:520:13:55

-Oh, cool, there's another bed!

-It's incredible!

0:13:570:14:01

That's awesome, isn't it?

0:14:010:14:03

Aw, man.

0:14:040:14:06

I want this house. I just want this house.

0:14:060:14:08

Oh, wow.

0:14:110:14:13

-THEY GASP

-Whoa.

0:14:130:14:15

-Look at this area.

-Whoa.

0:14:150:14:16

Aw, wow. Big TV.

0:14:160:14:18

This house had surpassed everyone's expectations,

0:14:190:14:22

and outside was the icing on the cake.

0:14:220:14:25

No way!

0:14:250:14:28

SHE GASPS

0:14:280:14:29

Aw, yeah. You could relax in here, couldn't you?

0:14:300:14:33

Aw, yeah.

0:14:330:14:35

This is the dream, isn't it? Just to be able to sit out your back door

0:14:350:14:39

-and relax.

-Yep.

0:14:390:14:41

This property had delivered everything

0:14:410:14:43

the Bones could want from a dream home.

0:14:430:14:46

But how close did it come to their £300,000 budget?

0:14:460:14:50

Right, will we turn it over?

0:14:500:14:53

-How much?

-Ready...

0:14:530:14:54

-£392,000...

-£392,000.

0:14:570:14:59

-705.

-..705.

0:14:590:15:01

Wow.

0:15:010:15:03

It was £92,000 over budget, but...

0:15:030:15:07

It's less than I thought it was going to be.

0:15:070:15:10

..with the right jobs and salary down under,

0:15:100:15:12

this house could have been within reach.

0:15:120:15:14

But Rhiannon had her heart set on another home.

0:15:140:15:17

For us, as a family, the space in here is just too much

0:15:170:15:22

and over the other properties...

0:15:220:15:25

all was perfect.

0:15:250:15:26

The Bones' search for Perth property had brought mixed results.

0:15:290:15:33

House number one was under budget,

0:15:340:15:36

but the dark interiors didn't impress.

0:15:360:15:38

Property two had plenty of space and went down well with everyone.

0:15:400:15:43

And home number three really was a dream home,

0:15:450:15:49

but perhaps just too spacious for Rhiannon.

0:15:490:15:51

So when it came to the vote, did the Bones choose home or away?

0:15:520:15:56

What a wonderful day visiting the houses in Australia.

0:15:560:15:59

Now it's time to vote.

0:15:590:16:00

-Australia!

-Australia!

0:16:100:16:12

-Unsure?

-No way!

0:16:120:16:14

Wow.

0:16:140:16:15

The price of the properties compared to the house we have at home...

0:16:150:16:19

They're really expensive.

0:16:190:16:21

At least you never voted for UK.

0:16:210:16:22

-SHE LAUGHS

-That's positive.

0:16:220:16:24

The dream's not dead.

0:16:240:16:25

Sarah's undecided vote had surprised everyone.

0:16:300:16:33

Was she slowly realising Australia might not meet

0:16:330:16:36

her expectations?

0:16:360:16:38

It was Cara's tenth birthday, but any celebrations

0:16:390:16:43

would be short-lived unless Sarah and Max

0:16:430:16:45

found the right jobs down under.

0:16:450:16:47

Sarah was the main visa applicant.

0:16:490:16:52

Back in the UK, she was a qualified community worker.

0:16:520:16:55

I love this job. I have worked in social care

0:16:570:17:00

and with people experiencing homelessness

0:17:000:17:02

or threatened with homelessness for ten years.

0:17:020:17:05

It was a job she knew the value of first hand.

0:17:050:17:08

If it hadn't been for supports and information that I had got

0:17:080:17:11

going through the homeless process, I would never have been able

0:17:110:17:14

to achieve what I've achieved today.

0:17:140:17:16

While Max enjoyed his job as area manager for a pizza chain,

0:17:160:17:19

the hours weren't ideal.

0:17:190:17:21

It's a lot of evening work and weekend work.

0:17:220:17:25

Again, there's a lot of early starts as well.

0:17:250:17:27

To check out Sarah's work opportunities in Perth,

0:17:330:17:35

we arranged for her to visit St Bartholomew's House -

0:17:350:17:38

a shelter looking after 600 people

0:17:380:17:41

at risk of or experiencing homelessness.

0:17:410:17:44

She was met by manager and expat Nina Crosland.

0:17:440:17:47

Welcome to St Bart's.

0:17:470:17:49

Sarah was keen to know if her qualifications from the UK

0:17:520:17:55

would be relevant down under.

0:17:550:17:57

I have a House SVQ 3 in Health and Social Care.

0:17:570:18:01

I have a PDA in Housing Law and Advice,

0:18:010:18:03

but my degree is in Business Studies,

0:18:030:18:05

so that's a worry - that my skills won't be able to transfer.

0:18:050:18:09

They change the jobs on the list of what they're actually looking for

0:18:090:18:13

at times, so, welfare worker, I believe, is on there.

0:18:130:18:15

So, I think, you know, you can really look to consider

0:18:150:18:18

whether that's something that you can fall under.

0:18:180:18:20

We've had a number of people come from the UK

0:18:200:18:22

and transition really easily.

0:18:220:18:24

That was encouraging news for Sarah.

0:18:240:18:27

Meanwhile, across town, Max was getting the low-down

0:18:270:18:30

on opportunities in the restaurant sector from Andrew Thomas...

0:18:300:18:33

-Come on in.

-That's great, thank you.

0:18:330:18:36

..operations director of a speciality coffee shop chain.

0:18:360:18:39

'How would somebody get into a business like this?'

0:18:390:18:41

Would they start at entry level, or...?

0:18:410:18:44

As I understand it, you kind of spent nine-odd years

0:18:440:18:47

-with a pizza business and five years as an area manager?

-Yeah.

0:18:470:18:51

The opportunity and the availability for those positions

0:18:510:18:53

definitely exists.

0:18:530:18:54

It looked like Max's experience would pay off,

0:18:560:18:59

but would his shift patterns be any better than at home?

0:18:590:19:02

Leaving at four, you know, half past four, five o'clock,

0:19:020:19:06

-no-one frowns upon that.

-Yeah.

-I see my kids in the morning

0:19:060:19:09

-and have dinner every night.

-That sounds great.

0:19:090:19:12

Early finishes meant Max would get more of the family time

0:19:120:19:14

he'd been missing out on.

0:19:140:19:16

But if a move was to work, salary for the couple would be key too.

0:19:160:19:21

Back at St Bart's, Sarah was finding out how much

0:19:210:19:24

she could earn in a year.

0:19:240:19:25

You can be considering something between 52,000

0:19:250:19:28

as a starting point, up to 57,000.

0:19:280:19:31

You could consider a team leader role or a coordinator position

0:19:310:19:34

which would take you up to roughly about...sort of

0:19:340:19:38

70,000.

0:19:380:19:39

That was a potential annual salary of almost £39,000 -

0:19:390:19:44

nearly double what Sarah was earning in the UK.

0:19:440:19:47

Very, very impressed, and it makes me very hopeful

0:19:470:19:49

of opportunities if I was to come over to Australia.

0:19:490:19:52

But Sarah knew unless Max got a positive result

0:19:520:19:55

on the earnings front, the move may never happen.

0:19:550:19:58

If he can't secure a good income or an increased salary,

0:19:590:20:01

or at least the same as what he does, then it's not an option.

0:20:010:20:05

So what were Max's prospects?

0:20:050:20:07

The base salary would probably be about 70,000 - 100,000,

0:20:080:20:13

plus superannuation on top of that,

0:20:130:20:15

so that would be somewhere in the region of about

0:20:150:20:18

£40,000 to £70,000.

0:20:180:20:19

OK. It's a good wage.

0:20:190:20:21

That compared favourably with Max's salary in the UK,

0:20:230:20:27

but he still had some concerns.

0:20:270:20:29

Very happy about it, but it's just the danger of, you know,

0:20:300:20:34

-that's what I COULD achieve.

-Yeah.

0:20:340:20:36

And it's whether or not... Again, moving over here first time,

0:20:360:20:38

whether I WOULD achieve that. It's a big risk...

0:20:380:20:41

-Big risk to take.

-..no matter what the situation is.

0:20:410:20:44

We roll the dice and we see what happens.

0:20:440:20:46

It's been a very important day for finding out about work prospects

0:20:480:20:51

and this is how we're going to vote.

0:20:510:20:53

-Undecided.

-Australia!

0:21:000:21:03

I love my job in the UK, but I just think there's so much more

0:21:030:21:07

opportunities for career progression,

0:21:070:21:09

-and the salary is much more for me, here in Australia.

-Yep.

0:21:090:21:13

I think there's a huge amount of possibilities here.

0:21:130:21:16

I just need to find out just a wee bit more.

0:21:160:21:18

Max was still playing the cautious card,

0:21:280:21:30

so would a rare family day out experiencing Australia's

0:21:300:21:33

great outdoors win him around?

0:21:330:21:35

The Bones visited Yanchep National Park -

0:21:360:21:39

the perfect place to get up close and personal

0:21:390:21:41

with some Australian wildlife.

0:21:410:21:44

Oh, koalas!

0:21:440:21:46

-Oh!

-Oh, wow, look.

0:21:460:21:48

Who's going to be first to see if we can see any?

0:21:480:21:51

Look!

0:21:510:21:52

Hayden, do you see it?

0:21:520:21:54

-Yes.

-Sleeping!

0:21:540:21:56

-Aww.

-How cute is that?

-Absolutely gorgeous.

0:21:560:21:59

It's sleeping.

0:21:590:22:00

SHE GASPS

0:22:010:22:03

It's awesome.

0:22:030:22:04

Mingling with the marsupials seemed to have cast a spell on Max.

0:22:050:22:09

That's incredible.

0:22:100:22:11

It's just a different world. It's so cool.

0:22:130:22:15

This is incredible.

0:22:150:22:17

-BOTH:

-They're so cute!

0:22:180:22:20

It was a rare chance for the family to spend time together with Dad.

0:22:220:22:26

Having Max here is really strange for us, as a family.

0:22:260:22:28

Usually we tend to do things as a family of four

0:22:280:22:31

when Max is working.

0:22:310:22:32

So it's been really fantastic.

0:22:320:22:35

It had been a day of simple pleasures,

0:22:350:22:37

but it looked like it could have been a turning point for Max.

0:22:370:22:40

Today was great. Best day out I've had for a while.

0:22:400:22:43

I think it's still going to be a big risk coming out,

0:22:430:22:46

but seeing today...

0:22:460:22:48

I'm starting to feel as if the risk is definitely worthwhile.

0:22:480:22:50

To have that time, hopefully on a regular basis,

0:22:500:22:53

would be fantastic.

0:22:530:22:54

So, based on lifestyle,

0:22:550:22:57

did the family choose Australia or the UK?

0:22:570:23:00

What an amazing day here at the National Park

0:23:000:23:02

seeing the koalas and the kangaroos.

0:23:020:23:04

Now it's time to vote!

0:23:040:23:05

-ALL:

-Australia!

0:23:140:23:17

THEY LAUGH

0:23:170:23:20

Their time in Perth had shown Sarah and Max

0:23:250:23:28

Australia could offer the life they wanted.

0:23:280:23:31

Now they needed to see if they could afford it.

0:23:310:23:34

We provided a comparison of costs between the UK and Australia.

0:23:340:23:38

They began with the weekly grocery bill.

0:23:380:23:40

Milk's similar.

0:23:400:23:42

Almost double, in fact, more than double

0:23:420:23:44

for brown bread.

0:23:440:23:45

Ooh.

0:23:460:23:48

So, yoghurts we go through a lot of in the house.

0:23:480:23:51

It's over four times more expensive

0:23:510:23:55

for yoghurts.

0:23:550:23:57

So that works out £36.89 more expensive per week.

0:23:570:24:02

Uh-huh, yep.

0:24:020:24:03

And... Which, if we times that by four,

0:24:030:24:05

gives £147.56 per month more.

0:24:050:24:08

-But it doesn't seem unachievable.

-No.

0:24:100:24:12

And again, anybody that knows me back at home will know that

0:24:120:24:15

-I'm a bargain hunter.

-You like to cling to your bargains. Yeah.

0:24:150:24:19

-I would make it work.

-Yeah.

0:24:190:24:21

Sarah was undeterred, but the couple still had to tackle

0:24:210:24:24

the bigger outgoings.

0:24:240:24:26

They base their figures on the second property they'd seen.

0:24:260:24:30

Minus 1062.39.

0:24:300:24:33

Equals minus £192.39.

0:24:340:24:38

The family's mortgage payments would have been £200 a month higher

0:24:380:24:42

in Australia and would have meant more than doubling the length

0:24:420:24:45

of their mortgage term.

0:24:450:24:48

30 years, compared to 14 years in the UK.

0:24:480:24:51

-Yeah.

-That's...

-It's quite disappointing, isn't it?

0:24:510:24:54

-When you look at it.

-Very disappointing.

0:24:540:24:56

The couple would be spending £1,200 a year more.

0:24:560:24:59

Adding in their salaries, they would be better off in Australia...

0:24:590:25:04

Combined, £238 per month.

0:25:040:25:06

Which isn't a lot.

0:25:060:25:07

Actually, I feel pretty gutted.

0:25:070:25:09

..but not by much.

0:25:090:25:10

And they felt the increase wasn't worth having to extend

0:25:100:25:13

the term of their mortgage.

0:25:130:25:15

I feel quite flat just now and I just need time to...

0:25:150:25:18

..work this out.

0:25:190:25:21

-But at the moment, I feel quite deflated, actually.

-Yeah.

-Yeah.

0:25:210:25:24

So, after looking at the figures, it is time to vote.

0:25:270:25:30

-BOTH:

-UK.

0:25:400:25:41

I don't think I would ever want to go back to having a 30-year term

0:25:410:25:45

on our mortgage.

0:25:450:25:47

I think it's a no-brainer.

0:25:470:25:48

Financially, we're better off in the UK by a long shot.

0:25:480:25:51

A longer mortgage term meant more time together for the Bones

0:25:590:26:02

would come at a cost.

0:26:020:26:04

And there was the emotional cost of a move to consider too.

0:26:040:26:08

While Hayden was looked after by a childminder,

0:26:080:26:10

the rest of the family sat down to watch messages from home together.

0:26:100:26:14

Hello, Max and Sarah.

0:26:140:26:16

Hello, Rhiannon, Cara and Hayden.

0:26:160:26:19

A good dad, a good husband and a very good son.

0:26:190:26:24

Sarah's a very dedicated and committed member of staff,

0:26:240:26:27

-very enthusiastic.

-Really?!

0:26:270:26:29

-I love you guys, but, like...

-Yeah, me too, but no...

0:26:290:26:33

-But we're four.

-Yeah.

0:26:330:26:34

We're not designed to be a three.

0:26:340:26:37

I'm going to miss Sarah and the kids incredibly,

0:26:370:26:40

and I'm not saying I wouldn't miss Max, but...

0:26:400:26:44

We've been through a lot together.

0:26:440:26:46

I'm sitting here, I can feel myself welling up.

0:26:460:26:48

And I'm going to miss her incredibly. God.

0:26:480:26:51

There's the one part of you that's wishing them all the best

0:26:530:26:56

and obviously it's going to be a new life.

0:26:560:26:58

But it's going to be a new life for us as well.

0:27:030:27:05

-That's hard to take.

-My dad doesn't get upset.

0:27:050:27:08

No.

0:27:080:27:09

This is your home and...

0:27:090:27:10

Yeah, I don't think I would enjoy anything that I do as much

0:27:110:27:17

if you weren't there as well.

0:27:170:27:19

You're going to go to Australia and wish you all the very best...

0:27:200:27:24

Be delighted for you.

0:27:240:27:26

Oh, that was hard to see Papa upset, wasn't it?

0:27:300:27:32

Gee-whiz.

0:27:320:27:34

That was hard.

0:27:340:27:35

Certainly our intention isn't to hurt anybody.

0:27:360:27:38

That's the last thing we want to do in the world.

0:27:380:27:42

But watching that video,

0:27:420:27:44

you realise that you are hurting people.

0:27:440:27:47

It's going to be really, really hard to leave the people behind

0:27:470:27:49

that we care about.

0:27:490:27:51

But we need to think of what's best for the family of five.

0:27:510:27:54

I think we've got to do what's best for us as family, but...

0:27:560:28:00

obviously there's more than five of us in our family.

0:28:000:28:04

Sorry.

0:28:040:28:05

Their week had shown the Bones that a move

0:28:100:28:12

to the other side of the world

0:28:120:28:14

would come with a heavy financial and emotional burden.

0:28:140:28:17

Had they been persuaded that was a price worth paying

0:28:180:28:21

for a new life down under?

0:28:210:28:22

It's been a roller-coaster week. It's been ups and downs,

0:28:240:28:27

so much information.

0:28:270:28:29

The financial aspect is concerning, but if you take the risk

0:28:290:28:33

and it works out, the rewards are huge.

0:28:330:28:35

But if it doesn't work out...

0:28:350:28:37

Big risk.

0:28:370:28:38

I feel...

0:28:380:28:39

..probably more confused now than what I felt before I came out.

0:28:410:28:45

It's been much more difficult making the decision for today

0:28:450:28:49

than I would ever have thought.

0:28:490:28:50

It's been a roller-coaster of a week.

0:28:520:28:54

Now it's time for the final vote.

0:28:540:28:56

Australia!

0:29:060:29:07

Hayden!

0:29:090:29:10

-Hayden! What's happened to you?

-Undecided!

0:29:100:29:13

Do you want to stay at the beach or do you want to stay at home?

0:29:130:29:16

-I don't know.

-You don't know?

0:29:160:29:17

THEY LAUGH

0:29:170:29:19

It's Australia!

0:29:190:29:21

I thought you were undecided.

0:29:210:29:22

-Me too.

-I changed two seconds ago because I turned round

0:29:220:29:26

and saw you and Hayden and Cara and the sea.

0:29:260:29:29

I was the same. Do you know, standing on the beach,

0:29:290:29:31

I thought, you know, "Life's short.

0:29:310:29:35

"Life is short. Why not take the risk?"

0:29:350:29:37

-I want to go tomorrow!

-THEY LAUGH

0:29:370:29:40

I don't want to go home!

0:29:400:29:41

It had been a life-changing week for the Bones,

0:29:520:29:55

and it looked like they were all set to take the leap

0:29:550:29:58

and start afresh on the other side of the world.

0:29:580:30:01

So, one year later, on which side of the world are the Bones living?

0:30:010:30:06

It's April 2015 and the Bones are living in...

0:30:080:30:11

..East Ayrshire in Scotland.

0:30:130:30:15

But not for much longer.

0:30:150:30:17

From the moment they returned home,

0:30:170:30:20

the family were itching to get back down under.

0:30:200:30:23

I arrived back and I thought, "No, I want to go back to Australia."

0:30:230:30:26

The second I landed at the airport, I was convinced.

0:30:260:30:29

I absolutely loved it.

0:30:290:30:31

Their time in Australia

0:30:310:30:33

saw the country capture Sarah and Max's hearts.

0:30:330:30:36

The trial week was amazing,

0:30:360:30:38

much better than I would even have thought.

0:30:380:30:40

We were able to see what Australia really had to offer.

0:30:400:30:43

"We could actually be living this" - it was a scary thought,

0:30:430:30:45

but, God, it was exciting. It was so exciting.

0:30:450:30:48

It gave us the drive to come back and say, "Yep, that's what we want.

0:30:480:30:51

"Let's go for it."

0:30:510:30:52

The couple have been convinced the country could give them

0:30:520:30:55

the normal family life they've been craving.

0:30:550:30:59

The lifestyle in Australia far surpassed the life

0:30:590:31:02

we have here in Ochiltree at the moment.

0:31:020:31:05

You kind of lose track of where you're going here.

0:31:050:31:07

We're coming and going and working different shifts,

0:31:070:31:10

but then, when you take time and go out of that situation,

0:31:100:31:12

you realise how good it is.

0:31:120:31:14

And Australia seemed to have had a transformational effect

0:31:140:31:18

on Rhiannon, Cara and Hayden too.

0:31:180:31:20

You just saw them thriving and changing as young people

0:31:200:31:23

and becoming excited at the prospect of living in a new country.

0:31:230:31:27

I just loved everything about Australia.

0:31:270:31:30

The beaches were amazing, the people were just so, so friendly.

0:31:300:31:34

It was really fun and it was great to be outdoors a lot,

0:31:340:31:37

and the weather was nice and hot.

0:31:370:31:38

You don't need to bring a jumper or jackets

0:31:380:31:41

cos you know it's not going to rain.

0:31:410:31:43

It was like a light switch going on.

0:31:430:31:45

It was a completely different set of kids and you suddenly realise,

0:31:450:31:48

just looking at them, how happy they can be.

0:31:480:31:50

On their return, there was just one negative to consider.

0:31:500:31:55

The thought of a 30-year mortgage

0:31:550:31:57

just wasn't really appealing, to be honest.

0:31:570:32:00

At that point, there was a bit of me...my stomach was churning,

0:32:000:32:03

thinking, "I don't think we can do this."

0:32:030:32:06

The finances definitely made us think long and hard

0:32:060:32:08

about whether we could make the trip or not.

0:32:080:32:11

But Sarah and Max weren't going to let budgets beat them

0:32:110:32:14

and decided to plough ahead and make the move.

0:32:140:32:16

We've decided, hands down, that it's definitely worth taking the risk.

0:32:160:32:20

We might have a 30-year mortgage at first,

0:32:200:32:22

but we'll just work hard and try to get that down as fast as we can.

0:32:220:32:25

I work really hard, Max works really hard. We could make this work.

0:32:250:32:28

I'd rather go there and absolutely wing it for a few years

0:32:280:32:31

than stay here.

0:32:310:32:33

The couple prepared to apply for a visa

0:32:330:32:35

and had settled on Perth as their destination,

0:32:350:32:37

having been smitten by the city during their trial week.

0:32:370:32:41

We had fallen in love with the place.

0:32:410:32:43

We were adamant that was the only place we wanted to go.

0:32:430:32:46

But when they discovered Sarah's job as a community worker

0:32:460:32:49

was no longer on the wanted list for Perth,

0:32:490:32:51

their plans were thrown into jeopardy.

0:32:510:32:54

It was quite a depressing moment.

0:32:540:32:56

We were just like, "Right, OK, so what do we do now?"

0:32:560:32:59

With Perth out of the picture,

0:32:590:33:01

the couple found Sarah's job was on the skills shortage list

0:33:010:33:04

for the Canberra area and started the application process,

0:33:040:33:07

only to be stopped in their tracks again.

0:33:070:33:10

Canberra had kindly taken it off their list as well.

0:33:100:33:14

It was like, "Oh, OK, what do we do?"

0:33:140:33:17

Was the dream over now before it's even started?

0:33:170:33:19

At that stage, we were thinking,

0:33:190:33:21

"Is this somebody telling us that it's not going to happen?"

0:33:210:33:24

More research left them with just two choices.

0:33:240:33:28

Darwin and Tasmania.

0:33:280:33:29

Darwin seemed the best option.

0:33:290:33:31

While they weren't initially bowled over by the city...

0:33:310:33:35

My gut reaction was, "We're not going to Darwin.

0:33:350:33:37

"It's full of crocodiles, it's too warm, it's too expensive,

0:33:370:33:40

"it's too far away from everywhere."

0:33:400:33:42

The couple were eventually won round.

0:33:420:33:45

You start to do some research

0:33:450:33:47

and you think, "Wow, this place is actually really, really nice,"

0:33:470:33:51

and job opportunities were fantastic.

0:33:510:33:53

At the moment, I'd say it's the best place in Australia to get a job,

0:33:530:33:57

the fastest-growing economy.

0:33:570:33:59

Sarah's already inspired by the possibility

0:33:590:34:01

of new challenges on the work front there.

0:34:010:34:03

To work with Aborigines and people that are isolated

0:34:050:34:08

within their own community so, in that aspect, it really excites me.

0:34:080:34:13

With a new hometown finally agreed,

0:34:130:34:15

Max and Sarah started again with the paperwork.

0:34:150:34:19

It's a long, drawn-out process, an expensive process -

0:34:190:34:22

emotionally draining, as well.

0:34:220:34:25

You need to be 100%, because the process

0:34:250:34:27

is so difficult that it would probably put you off.

0:34:270:34:30

I think people expected us to decide we were going to Australia in May

0:34:300:34:34

or June and be away in July or August

0:34:340:34:36

and it's certainly not like that.

0:34:360:34:38

But they stayed the course and

0:34:390:34:41

almost a year after their trial week, their tenacity paid off.

0:34:410:34:46

The visa was awarded on Friday the 13th of March,

0:34:460:34:49

which was a bit scary.

0:34:490:34:50

I was thinking, "I hope this isn't an omen!"

0:34:500:34:53

Getting the visas, Friday the 13th or not, was just amazing.

0:34:530:34:57

It was just almost months and months and months down the line,

0:34:570:35:03

then finally you just have the tick to say, "Yep, you're in."

0:35:030:35:08

In just seven weeks,

0:35:090:35:11

the family will be jetting off for their new life, and Cara can't wait.

0:35:110:35:15

When my mum and dad told me about going to Australia,

0:35:150:35:18

it was really exciting.

0:35:180:35:19

I'd rather have that kind of lifestyle

0:35:190:35:22

than this lifestyle, out in the rain.

0:35:220:35:24

And while Hayden had voted undecided after the trial week,

0:35:240:35:28

he's since come round to the idea.

0:35:280:35:31

Over the past two months...

0:35:310:35:32

He's changed.

0:35:320:35:33

He's changed and even in the car,

0:35:330:35:35

"How many weeks is it till we're going to Australia?

0:35:350:35:37

"I'm going to miss my nana and papa when we go,

0:35:370:35:39

"but can I have a pool party for my next party?"

0:35:390:35:42

I like going swimming cos you don't need to go for a bath in Australia.

0:35:420:35:48

You can just go and you can just jump in the pool.

0:35:480:35:51

Sarah knows the move

0:35:510:35:53

won't be quite as simple for Rhiannon, though.

0:35:530:35:56

She's leaving her dad and his family as well.

0:35:560:36:00

The thought of even leaving them, it breaks my heart.

0:36:000:36:03

I just try not to think about it.

0:36:030:36:05

I know it's going to be really, really hard for the next few months,

0:36:050:36:08

but I think at the back of my mind, I know it's going to be worth it.

0:36:080:36:11

We've all had moments where we've had our doubts, you know,

0:36:110:36:14

we've just had to talk it through and support each other,

0:36:140:36:17

but we're all on the same hymn sheet here.

0:36:170:36:20

We're all definitely wanting to move to Australia.

0:36:200:36:23

And having Darwin as their destination has brought a benefit.

0:36:230:36:27

There is actually six families

0:36:270:36:29

that are all arriving within six weeks of each other in Darwin,

0:36:290:36:32

so that was a real reassurance to me.

0:36:320:36:34

There's Scottish, English, Irish families,

0:36:340:36:37

so we're all going to be in the same situation.

0:36:370:36:40

Moving to Darwin now, for us, is exciting.

0:36:400:36:42

We're all ready to embrace it.

0:36:420:36:44

The family have spent the last few months

0:36:440:36:46

packing up their lives in the UK.

0:36:460:36:49

Their appearance on Wanted Down Under

0:36:490:36:53

provided some unexpected help when it came to selling their house.

0:36:530:36:56

Somebody knocked our door, we had no idea who he was

0:36:560:36:59

and he just said, "Hi, I'm Ian from down the road.

0:36:590:37:03

"I saw your programme on television

0:37:030:37:05

"and just wanted to ask are you moving to Australia?"

0:37:050:37:08

They had seen it on the TV and they loved it,

0:37:080:37:10

I think his wife had fell in love

0:37:100:37:12

and he had been sent round to ask the question.

0:37:120:37:14

We had a quick chat, started the full process and then,

0:37:140:37:17

a couple of months down the line,

0:37:170:37:19

we'd signed off on the house. It was sold.

0:37:190:37:21

We would never have imagined it and still we're sitting there,

0:37:210:37:24

thinking, "Did that really happen?"

0:37:240:37:25

That was one huge big worry off us and then, at that stage,

0:37:250:37:29

we could start to plan the shipping, the flights

0:37:290:37:32

and actually have a proper timescale to do things.

0:37:320:37:36

Taking leave of the home they've loved has been a piece of cake.

0:37:360:37:40

I've felt nothing.

0:37:400:37:41

I've actually felt nothing,

0:37:410:37:43

which shows that it doesn't really mean anything.

0:37:430:37:45

It's just a house, that's all it is.

0:37:450:37:49

I think all of our dreams are elsewhere.

0:37:490:37:52

We're just biding our time in here

0:37:520:37:54

until we can move to where we want to be.

0:37:540:37:58

But breaking the news they were moving to loved ones

0:38:000:38:03

was more emotionally challenging, especially for Max.

0:38:030:38:07

Telling my mum and dad was by far the worst part

0:38:070:38:10

of the full process of getting to Australia.

0:38:100:38:14

I think he held it together when he was telling them

0:38:140:38:17

and then the minute he got in the car, the reality hurt.

0:38:170:38:20

I drove home and just broke down in the car.

0:38:210:38:25

I just could not stop crying for about two hours.

0:38:250:38:28

It was a really, really bad day. It wasn't a nice day for me.

0:38:280:38:32

Max was so upset, Sarah feared the worst.

0:38:320:38:35

For me, that was worrying - that he maybe thought this wasn't

0:38:350:38:39

worth the risk and it was maybe going to affect his decision

0:38:390:38:43

not to move to Australia.

0:38:430:38:44

If I was unsure about the decision, I wouldn't have told my mum and dad.

0:38:440:38:48

Having to leave them behind must be really difficult,

0:38:480:38:51

and I'll never be able to understand how he must feel.

0:38:510:38:55

That's where I have it quite easy,

0:38:550:38:57

that I don't have a mum or a dad to say bye to.

0:38:570:39:00

The decision was right and it still is right.

0:39:000:39:02

There's nothing changed about that,

0:39:020:39:03

but just the realisation that you're hurting people, oh, it's horrible.

0:39:030:39:10

The Bones are shipping their possessions down under

0:39:100:39:12

and plan to rent initially,

0:39:120:39:14

but hope to secure a home of their own as soon as possible.

0:39:140:39:18

The cost of renting in Darwin is off the charts. It's so expensive.

0:39:180:39:21

We're just looking at it as a three-month plan just now -

0:39:210:39:24

go short-term lease and we'll just see what happens.

0:39:240:39:27

When it comes to work,

0:39:270:39:28

Max and Sarah have been busy applying for jobs online,

0:39:280:39:31

but feel their chances will improve once they set foot in Australia.

0:39:310:39:35

I think a lot of people could secure from the UK

0:39:350:39:37

if they have specialised trades, like electricians

0:39:370:39:40

and things like that,

0:39:400:39:42

but in community work, it's much, much harder.

0:39:420:39:46

Sarah's taken on extra work over the past year

0:39:460:39:49

to up her employability down under.

0:39:490:39:51

The idea behind that was to gain more experience so it gives me

0:39:510:39:55

more opportunities, hopefully, on arrival to Australia.

0:39:550:39:58

The job market is buoyant in Darwin, there is a lot of jobs.

0:39:580:40:02

Max, meanwhile,

0:40:050:40:06

is hoping to secure a more 9-5 position in Darwin.

0:40:060:40:10

Anything in the retail sector,

0:40:100:40:12

the hours are going to be more suitable for family life.

0:40:120:40:15

I'm very open to doing it.

0:40:150:40:17

We get there, get face-to-face in interviews

0:40:170:40:19

and then, fingers crossed, everything works for us!

0:40:190:40:21

With the city they'll be heading to having changed twice,

0:40:210:40:25

Sarah feels the search for schools

0:40:250:40:27

is a job best tackled on the ground as well.

0:40:270:40:29

I think, until we're there, you get a feel for a place,

0:40:290:40:32

you go and visit a school, you take the kids to see that area,

0:40:320:40:35

have a look at night - we can't do any of that until we're there

0:40:350:40:39

so we have nothing in place for accommodation,

0:40:390:40:43

nothing in place for schools and no jobs, so it's dead exciting!

0:40:430:40:48

Absolutely!

0:40:480:40:50

With less than two months before they leave Scotland,

0:40:500:40:53

plans are in progress for a very special send-off.

0:40:530:40:56

Saying goodbye is going to be awful.

0:40:560:40:59

We have a party planned for the 20th of June.

0:41:000:41:04

It's going to be Australia and Scotland-themed,

0:41:040:41:07

so there'll be blow-up crocodiles, we've got kangaroo meatballs

0:41:070:41:12

and just loads and loads of different things -

0:41:120:41:15

Scottish songs, Australian songs.

0:41:150:41:17

It's just a last chance to have a few drinks,

0:41:170:41:19

have a bit of fun, take loads of pictures

0:41:190:41:21

and create loads of memories and to kind of leave on a high.

0:41:210:41:25

But the party's not everyone's idea of a fond farewell.

0:41:250:41:28

Max's mum and dad have told us that they are not coming.

0:41:280:41:31

They just don't feel that they can cope with that just now.

0:41:310:41:35

I completely understand that.

0:41:350:41:38

I think our goodbye to Mum and Dad's going to be a more private affair.

0:41:380:41:42

That day is going to be a difficult, difficult one,

0:41:420:41:45

when we say our final goodbyes.

0:41:450:41:46

So as the move fast approaches, are there any last minute nerves?

0:41:490:41:52

I had about a two-week spell where I was doubting everything.

0:41:520:41:57

I was loving Scotland.

0:41:570:41:59

The sun was out, everything was great and, "Why are we doing this?"

0:41:590:42:05

And then you just have a wee reality check,

0:42:050:42:08

going, "Yeah, but Australia's really good as well."

0:42:080:42:10

The only wobble that I've had was the day that I told my boss.

0:42:100:42:15

I wish I could just take my job

0:42:150:42:17

and all the young people that I work with to Australia.

0:42:170:42:20

Despite everything and everyone they'll be leaving behind,

0:42:200:42:23

the family can't wait to start their new life down under.

0:42:230:42:26

I am absolutely pumped. I am absolutely buzzing about it.

0:42:270:42:31

I cannot wait.

0:42:310:42:33

I've been excited from the minute that we arrived in Australia

0:42:330:42:36
