I go by car with my mummy and daddy.

I got a purple basket.

cos I like garlic bread.

I buy eggs.

I love to have an ice cream.

If she doesn't want it, I will put it back.

I don't have to carry the bags, because they're very heavy.

Here's comes a tale for us all to enjoy.

One day, Toddler Tom

wanted to go to a restaurant,

and Stuffy, Miss Mouse and Teddington said they'd like to go.

The restaurant was on the high street.

It served all sorts of tasty treats.

"I'm glad we're going out. How do we get there?" Miss Mouse squeaked.

"I'd like to scoot," said Toddler Tom.

"But I'd rather walk," said Teddington.

And Stuffy thought that the bus would be fun.

"It makes no difference to me, and if we can't agree,

"let's all go there separately," squeaked Miss Mouse.

So they set off down the street,

with thoughts of tasty things to eat.

Stuffy wasn't waiting long. The bus came and he tumbled on.

Little Miss Mouse went with Toddler Tom.

She sat in his rucksack and scooted along.

"Whee! This is fun," she squeaked.

Teddington Bear was enjoying the day, ambling by in a Teddington way,

and singing a sort of Teddington song,

"Pom-pom, piddily-rom, pom-pom."

The bus was super-duper quick,

it got to the high street lickety split.

"There's not a lot of time to sit," thought Stuffy.

The restaurant was very near, but it hadn't opened yet. Oh, dear.

No-one was there - not even the waiter,

so Stuffy had to read the paper.

Toddler Tom felt rather hot.

He had to scoot and scoot a lot.

"Keep up the scooting, Toddler Tom,

"I'm sure we'll be there before too long," squeaked Miss Mouse.

Meanwhile, Teddington had stopped to have a look in all the shops.

"Oh, fiddly forks and spindly spoons,

"I hope this restaurant opens soon!" thought Stuffy.

The door opened wide, and Tom and Miss Mouse stepped inside.

They sat by the window in the sun.

"We better wait for Teddington," said Toddler Tom.

Teddington was very late, and so the three friends had to wait.

"I've got so hungry waiting for you, I think I could eat a stinky shoe,"

squeaked Miss Mouse. The waiter said,

"I'm sorry to say that shoes are not on the menu today."

So all the toys were happily fed,

on pizza and pasta and ice cream instead.

Ooh! Come on, let's go outside.

-Yes.

So I can run through the town asking,

-are the children in their beds? It's gone eight o'clock!

No, it's only five o'clock,

so a bit later on, I go off running again, through the town,

shouting, "Are the children in their beds? It's gone eight o'clock!"

-And are they?

-No, it's only six o'clock.

So a bit later on, off I go again, running through the town -

"Are the children in their beds? It's gone eight o'clock!"

-And are they?

-Well, they're in their pyjamas.

-But it's only seven o'clock.

-Oh.

So I keep running -

I'm worried I'll wear out my trainers. I'll get holes in them.

You don't need new trainers! What you need is...

-..an alarm clock!

-Oh!

If I set the alarm clock for eight o'clock every day,

you'll only need to run around the town once!

-And you won't need to shout so much.

-Oh.
