"SHOW ME" JINGLE

Somebody wants a Show Me.

Show me, show me your coats.

Coats! This is my favourite coat.

It has a hood and it's very thick, so it keeps me very warm.

In fact, I have a coat for every day of the week.

On Monday, it was fine when I went out to play,

so I didn't wear a coat all day.

But on Tuesday, it was chilly when I went for a run,

so I put on this bright red jacket.

I think it's kind of fun!

But on Wednesday, it was cold when I went to the farmers' market.

I wanted to look smart, so I wore this trendy jacket.

Hmmm!

But on Thursday it was raining, so I put on this yellow mac.

Oh, that's better!

I went on a boat trip. I wore it there and back.

On Friday, I wore my favourite coat

because it was f-f-f-freezing!

Oh, that's better.

Had I not worn it, now I might be sneezing.

HE STARTS TO SNEEZE

No, I'm all right.

On Saturday, it was colder still.

So I added an extra layer so I didn't catch a chill.

Ah!

But on Sunday, the weather was much better.

In fact, it was sunny.

But Pui said, "Keep all your coats on cos you look kind of funny!"

Ha! Ha!

If I was wearing my waterproof coat and my wellies,

I can splish in the puddle.

I wear my froggy raincoat when it's raining.

Here comes a tale for us all to enjoy.

One wintry day, little Miss Mouse

got ever so chilly when she went out.

"Isn't it terribly wintry weather?" she squeaked

as she rubbed her paws together.

"Brr! My mousey fur is usually snug,

"but today it just isn't warm enough."

"Whenever I'm cold," said Toddler Tom, "I put my chunky coat on."

"I do not have a coat, Tom, and so I cannot put it on,"

said Miss Mouse, sadly.

"Well, we'll have to get you one," said Toddler Tom.

So off they went on the big red bus to buy a coat all warm and snug.

"Ding, ding, ding! Stop, bus, stop!

"We can see the clothes shop," they giggled.

The clothes shop had enormous doors

and lots of clothes on lots of floors.

"Hey, the coats are this way," said Toddler Tom.

"There's lots to choose from."

"Can I help you, madam?" asked the shop assistant.

"I came here on a big red bus to buy a coat all warm and snug,"

said Miss Mouse.

"I'll see what I can find," said the shop assistant.

"Isn't he kind?" said Miss Mouse.

The first coat that Miss Mouse tried on was a rather smart one.

"I like it a lot, but it's not quite right.

"When I do up the buttons, it feels rather tight."

The second coat was quite fantastic.

It was made of yellow plastic.

"It's good for rainy days, I'm sure, but not quite what I'm looking for,"

said Miss Mouse, twitching her tail.

The third coat that Miss Mouse tried on was rather wide and rather long.

"It's a very good fit for a weasel or ferret.

"But not for a mouse, I can't possibly wear it."

The fourth was a jacket, which Miss Mouse quite liked.

"But I think it's for mice who ride motorbikes," she squeaked.

Toddler Tom felt a little bit bored,

so he sat in the corner and snored and snored.

The fifth coat was scratchy, the sixth was too bright.

The seventh was cute, but it didn't look right.

The eighth was too woolly, Miss Mouse felt too hot.

Then on seeing the ninth, Miss Mouse said, "I think not."

The shop assistant sighed and rolled his eyes.

"Coat number ten is the last one, madam."

"The colour's very nice indeed. I like the collar and the sleeves.

"And it's soft and snuggly.

"Yes, it's the perfect coat for me," said Miss Mouse.

Awww, that was a great story.

And Miss Mouse, this is the coat!

Oh, it looks so smart!
