Look. Miss Mouse is sitting on a bridge.

Get cosy and comfy.

Here comes a tale for us all to enjoy.

One sunny day, the toys went out to have a little walk about.

They went to a place that was pretty and green,

a wiggly path by a trickly stream.

"This path is just the place to walk along at a dreamy pace,"

said Mo Mo Bot.

"We're not too close to the prickly hedge nor the water's edge,"

added Stuffy.

Teddington sang a Teddington song.

"Tum-tee-tum-tee-tum-tee-tum!"

Then he had an idea for a game they could play.

"I'll go in front and point the way with a trail of arrows

"made of sticks. Then, everyone can follow it.

They all agreed that this sounded like a very good game indeed.

So, off went Teddington, "Tum-tee-tum!"

to make a trail for everyone.

He collected lots of sticks and twigs with knobbly, bobbly bits.

As he went along his way, he lay them down

in arrow shapes.

An arrow underneath a tree. An arrow pointing to a gate.

An arrow to a little bridge

where Teddington was going to wait.

The toys were looking eagerly to find out where the trail would lead.

"Where, oh, where do the arrows go?

"Follow them and then you'll know," they chanted.

"I've found an arrow under a tree.

"Everybody, follow me!" said Toddler Tom.

"Where, oh, where do the arrows go?

"Follow them and then you'll know," they chanted.

"I've found an arrow pointing

"straight to that swingy silver gate," said Miss Mouse.

"Where, oh, where do the arrows go?

"Follow them and then you'll know!" they continued.

"This arrow points to a bridge over there,

"and look who's waiting - Teddington Bear!" cried Stuffy.

"You've found me," said Teddington. "Aren't you clever?

"Now, let's play another game together."

Teddington told them to each find a stick

and come to the edge of the bridge with it. So, they did.

"When I say, 'Go!' you drop them in,

"and the fastest stick under the bridge will win," he told them.

"And just one more thing - don't lean over too far

"or you might fall in. Go!" cried Teddington.

"Swim, sticks, swim!"

So, everybody dropped them in.

The sticks were all floaty and bobby and boaty.

They drifted and pitched and went under the bridge.

The toys looked over the other side.

But whose stick was winning, they couldn't decide.

"It's hard to tell which stick has won.

"They all look the same," said Teddington.

"I have an idea," said Toddler Tom,

"Let's say the winner's everyone!"

The toys played swim sticks lots of times

until there were no more sticks to find.

Then Stuffy found a whole lot more. What else is a pocket for?

-PING! PING! PING!

-I'll go, Pui.

Here it comes! Let's get the shop ready.

-PING!

-Shop's open.

-It's Little Bo Peep.

-You can call me Bo!

All you need to do is get in the boat,

and then you can cross the river and pick up your sheep.

-It's a bridge.

All you have to do is walk across the bridge like this.

And to get to the bridge, you walk along the muddy riverbank.

Walking down the muddy riverbank? Are you serious?

Oh, I see. Dear, oh, dear. I don't know what to suggest.

Oh, hold on!

I have a new idea.

A new idea? Oh, my woolly word.

-I've just gotta have it - what is it?

is hook the sheep with your crook

and bring them safely to the other side like so.
