Get cosy and comfy, sit down with your toy.

Here comes a tale for us all to enjoy.

One day, toddler Tom wanted to feed the ducks on the duck pond,

so he asked his good friend, Teddington,

if he would like to go along.

"Oh, yes, indeed. I'd love to feed

"the hungry ducks with the birdy seed," said Teddington.

Tom's rucksack was the perfect place for keeping all the bird seed safe.

They strolled to the park. "Pom diddly-pom."

It wasn't too far, so it didn't take long.

They passed the playground. "Tum-te-tum."

They saw the children having fun.

They passed the cafe. "Yum, yum, yum!"

And Teddington had a rumbly tum.

They passed the lake with the boaters rowing.

"Come on, Tom. Let's keep on going," said Teddington.

They got to the pond. "Pom tiddly-pom."

But where had all the ducks gone?

No sign of a feather, no sign of a beak.

No sign of a ducky's webby feet.

"It seems the ducks are not about,

"but they might turn up if you get the bird seed out," said Teddington.

Tom looked in his rucksack, but...

"Dear, oh, dear. I can't find the seed. It isn't here!" he cried.

"The rucksack is empty! What shall we do?

"There's a hole in the bottom,

"where the seed slipped through," groaned Tom.

Then, suddenly, he heard a quack. "Quack!"

"Hey, Teddington, did you hear that?"

They turned around and had a shock, for right behind them...was a flock!

A feathery flock that honked and quacked.

HE HONKS

And peck-peck-pecked and flap-flap-flapped.

"They've been following us around,

"eating the trail of seeds on the ground. Hee-hee!" giggled Tom.

The feathery crowd had followed them,

past the playground, tum-ti-tum,

past the cafe, yum-yum-yum,

where the people sat out in the sun,

past the pond with the people rowing,

"Quack, quack, quack." They kept on going,

eating the seeds as they waddled along,

until they reached the duck pond!

Teddington said, "Fancy that! We fed the ducks behind our backs!

"And look at all our feathered friends.

"We'll have to come back and feed them again."

Oh, thank you, Tom.

-Quack, quack, quack...

-Where's that quacking racket coming from?

Quack, quack, quack.

Quack, quack, quack. Quack, quack, quack.

Can you quack like a duck?

Quack, quack, quack.

Look, this is my beak. I made it using a paper plate.

I've just folded it in half.

Quack, quack, quack. Hee-hee!

And a duck's beak is called a bill.

Clackety-clack, quackety-quack. We love making a rackety-rack.
