The weather's OK up here, it's holding out fine.

Sunday is becoming known for the veteran and vintage and heritage artists.

Many legends have stalked that famous stage on a Sunday afternoon.

Glastonbury Festival looks amazing this Sunday.

It does unfortunately look like several large aliens,

which are the big tents, the big stages,

And they've taken over this area of Somerset.

It's absolutely beautiful.

-We're making the procession in

from the famous Glastonbury Tor, which is not the little tower

you see on top of the hill, but the hill itself.

It's got a spiral path around it.

Rumour has it that somewhere on that path

is a secret door to the underworld.

It's a place of legend, important to the Romans, the pagans,

one of King Arthurs strongholds was here.

Many processions, ceremonial processions

have come in from Glastonbury Tor into the site down the centuries.

None more important than the ceremonial procession

that took place this morning as Dame Shirley Bassey herself

touched down on the hallowed ground of Glastonbury.

You can see the site is all brown with water and mud,

but around are the fragrant green fields of the Vale of Avalon.

Whether Shirley Bassey ever expected

to find herself somewhere like this is open to question,

but she came prepared in her special wellies with "DSB",

her initials, Dame Shirley Bassey, emblazoned proudly on the side.

It's great to see you all.

It's my first time in Glastonbury and the sun is shining!

You said you'd bring the sunshine, and look at it, you did!

Absolutely, it was Southern California sunshine all the way.

What a thrill, what a great audience, I loved every minute of it.

How would you describe your Glastonbury experience?

Unbelievable. I'm going to have to do it again if they ever invite me back.

What was it like standing there on stage looking out?

Er, I got goosies all over, I really did. I just...

So, listen, we've had legends all over the shop today,

Yeah, BB King, who is 85 years old,

who's like one of the oldest people ever to play at the festival.

I mean, he is a legendary guitar player,

and legendary is bandied about too easily, I think.

It's an overused word these days.

But Rolling Stone called him

-the third best guitarist ever, you know?

I mean, there isn't a guitarist alive who hasn't taken a little bit

from the very great BB King, and he was on the Pyramid Stage

earlier on today here at Glastonbury 2011.
